Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an all solid lithium secondary battery having good charge / discharge characteristics.
With the rapid spread of information-related equipment and communication equipment such as personal computers, video cameras, and mobile phones in recent years, development of lithium secondary batteries that are excellent as power sources has been regarded as important. In fields other than the information-related equipment and communication-related equipment, for example, in the automobile industry, the development of high-power and high-capacity lithium secondary batteries for electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles as low-emission vehicles has been promoted. ing.
However, since commercially available lithium secondary batteries use an organic electrolytic solution containing an organic solvent as a solvent, there is a risk of ignition or rupture when a short circuit occurs. This is essentially the same as what is called a Li polymer battery. In this case, only the polymer impregnated with an organic electrolyte is used for the separator separating the positive electrode, and there is a risk of ignition or rupture at the time of a short circuit. Sex is almost unchanged. In particular, in the case of a large-sized battery for in-vehicle use, the problem of ignition or explosion is serious because of the high risk.
In order to solve the problems of ignition and rupture as described above, development of an all-solid-state lithium secondary battery using a solid having Li ion conductivity as an electrolyte has been studied (Non-patent Document 1). The all-solid-state lithium secondary battery does not use a flammable organic solvent in the battery. Therefore, it is considered that the risk of ignition and rupture at the time of a short circuit is extremely low and it is excellent in safety. However, in the all-solid-state lithium secondary battery, since the positive electrode, the negative electrode, and the electrolyte are all solid, the electrochemical at the positive electrode-electrolyte interface or the negative electrode-electrolyte interface is compared with the battery using the electrolytic solution. It was difficult to obtain a battery having a large resistance and having desired charge / discharge characteristics.
This invention is made | formed in view of the said situation, and it aims at providing the all-solid-state lithium secondary battery with a favorable charging / discharging characteristic.
To achieve the above object, the present invention comprises a positive electrode layer containing a positive electrode active material containing a Li element and a positive electrode current collector, and a negative electrode layer containing a negative electrode active material and a negative electrode current collector. The negative electrode is sandwiched between the positive electrode layer and the negative electrode layer, and the following general formula Li 3-2X M X In 1-Y M ′ Y L 6-Z L ′ Z
(Wherein M and M ′ are metal elements, and L and L ′ are halogen elements. X, Y and Z are independently 0 ≦ X <1.5, 0 ≦ Y <1, 0 ≦ Z ≦ 6.) All-solid-state lithium secondary battery comprising a compound represented by the formula: wherein the negative electrode active material has an average Li potential of 0.7 V or less. An all-solid lithium secondary battery is provided.
According to the present invention, when the Li potential of the negative electrode active material is set to 0.7 V or less on average, a film composed of decomposition products by reductive decomposition is favorably formed between the solid electrolyte and the negative electrode layer. Thus, it is possible to obtain an all solid lithium secondary battery having good charge / discharge characteristics.
Moreover, in the said invention, it is preferable that the Li electric potential with respect to the said positive electrode active material is 3.9 V or less on average. Since the film made of the decomposition product by oxidative decomposition has a function of inhibiting the transmission of Li ions, the formation of the film is suppressed by setting the Li potential of the positive electrode active material to the above value. This is because an all solid-state lithium secondary battery having good charge / discharge characteristics can be obtained.
In this invention, there exists an effect that the all-solid-type lithium secondary battery with favorable charging / discharging characteristics can be obtained.
The all solid-state lithium secondary battery of the present invention will be described in detail below.
An all solid-state lithium secondary battery of the present invention includes a positive electrode including a positive electrode layer containing a positive electrode active material containing Li element and a positive electrode current collector, a negative electrode layer containing a negative electrode active material, and a negative electrode current collector. Between the positive electrode layer and the negative electrode layer, and the following general formula: Li 3-2X M X In 1-Y M ′ Y L 6-Z L ′ Z
It is a feature.
In the present invention, the Li potential of the negative electrode active material and the positive electrode active material was obtained from an open circuit electromotive force during charge and discharge by preparing a half cell using Li metal for the counter electrode. Further, the average value of the potential against Li was obtained by integrating the potential by the capacity and dividing by the total capacity.
According to the present invention, when the Li potential of the negative electrode active material is set to 0.7 V or less on average, a film composed of decomposition products by reductive decomposition is favorably formed between the solid electrolyte and the negative electrode layer. It is considered that an all solid-state lithium secondary battery having good charge / discharge characteristics can be obtained by this film. This is not clear, but is presumed to be due to the following reason. That is, it has been confirmed that the film is formed at the interface between the solid electrolyte and the negative electrode layer by repeating charging and discharging of the all-solid-state lithium secondary battery several times. Since the same film is formed regardless of the type of the negative electrode active material, it is considered that the film is a decomposition product generated by reducing and decomposing a part of the solid electrolyte. Furthermore, experimental results and the like suggest that the formation of the film reduces the electrochemical resistance between the solid electrolyte and the negative electrode layer. It can be said that it is preferable in terms of improvement of characteristics. In the present invention, the average potential of the negative electrode active material with respect to Li is 0.7 V or less, thereby providing an environment in which the solid electrolyte is likely to undergo reductive decomposition, promoting the formation of the film, It can be considered that the charge / discharge characteristics of the battery are improved.

In the present invention, the negative electrode active material has a Li potential relative to the average of 0.7 V or less, preferably within the range of 0.5 to 0.0 V on average. Specifically, Li, In, Si, Sn, Al , Zn, Bi, Cd, Sb, Pb, metal active materials such as wood metal (Bi-Pb-Cd-Sn eutectic), mesocarbon microbeads (MCMB), highly oriented graphite (HOPG), hard carbon And carbon-based active materials such as soft carbon. In the present invention, it is particularly preferable to use Li metal as the negative electrode active material. This is because the Li potential of Li metal is 0 V, and an all solid lithium secondary battery having good charge / discharge characteristics can be obtained.
Next, the negative electrode layer used in the present invention will be described. The negative electrode layer used in the present invention contains the negative electrode active material, and the structure, composition, and the like are not particularly limited. Specifically, a metal film of the metal-based active material, or a powder obtained by compressing the powder of the metal-based active material or the carbon-based active material can be used. An active material metal film is preferred.
Although it does not specifically limit as a metal film of the said metal type active material, Specifically, the metal foil, plating foil, vapor deposition foil, etc. of the said metal type active material can be mentioned, Above all, the said metal type An active material metal foil is preferred.
In particular, in the present invention, it is preferable to use a metal foil of Li metal as the negative electrode layer. Moreover, when using LiIn alloy foil as a negative electrode layer, it is preferable that content of In in the said LiIn alloy exists in the range of 0-20 wt%.
Moreover, the negative electrode layer used for this invention can improve electroconductivity by adding a electrically conductive agent in cases other than the said metal film. Specifically, a method of improving the conductivity of the negative electrode layer by adding a conductive agent when forming the negative electrode layer by compressing the powder of the negative electrode active material can be exemplified. Such a conductive agent is not particularly limited, and specific examples include acetylene black, ketjen black (trade name, manufactured by Lion Corporation), carbon fiber, and the like. Moreover, the said electrically conductive agent can be added in arbitrary quantity, unless the function of a negative electrode layer is inhibited.

In addition, the negative electrode current collector used in the present invention may have a function of a battery cell. Specifically, a case where a battery cell made of SUS is prepared and a part thereof is used as a negative electrode current collector can be exemplified.
(2) Positive electrode Next, the positive electrode used for this invention is demonstrated. The positive electrode used in the present invention comprises at least a positive electrode layer and a positive electrode current collector.
(a)正極層
(A) Positive electrode layer The positive electrode layer used for this invention contains a positive electrode active material at least, and is formed on the positive electrode electrical power collector mentioned later. The positive electrode active material used in the present invention has a property of releasing Li ions during charging and taking in Li ions during discharging, and contains a Li element.
The potential of Li for the positive electrode active material used in the present invention is not particularly limited as long as an all solid-state lithium secondary battery having good charge / discharge characteristics can be obtained. .9V or less is preferable. It is because it can be set as the environment where the film | membrane by oxidative decomposition is hard to be formed if it is in the said range. This is not clear yet, but is presumed to be due to the following reasons. That is, it has been confirmed that the coating is formed at the interface between the solid electrolyte and the positive electrode layer by repeating charging and discharging of the all-solid-state lithium secondary battery several times. Since the same film is formed regardless of the type of the positive electrode active material, it is considered that the film is a decomposition product produced by oxidative decomposition of a part of the solid electrolyte. Unlike the film produced by reductive decomposition of the solid electrolyte described above, it has been experimentally suggested that the electrochemical resistance between the solid electrolyte and the negative electrode layer is increased, and the formation of the film is suppressed. It is considered preferable to improve charging / discharging characteristics. Therefore, in the present invention, it is preferable to suppress the formation of the film by setting the Li potential of the positive electrode active material to an average of 3.9 V or less so that the oxidative decomposition of the solid electrolyte hardly occurs. It is done.

Specifically, when the positive electrode layer is formed by compressing the powder of the positive electrode active material, the conductivity of the positive electrode layer can be improved by adding a conductive agent. Such a conductive agent is not particularly limited, and specific examples thereof include acetylene black and Ni powder. Moreover, the said electrically conductive agent can be added in arbitrary quantity, unless the function of a positive electrode layer is inhibited.
