Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a catalyst for treating exhaust gas, a method for producing the same, and a method for treating exhaust gas.
In recent years, there has been a social demand for a system for driving an automobile gasoline engine in a lean burn state from the viewpoint of resource saving and environmental protection. The lean burn state is a lean fuel state, that is, a state where the amount of air (oxygen) is excessive with respect to the fuel amount in order to reduce the fuel consumption rate. In such an oxygen-excess atmosphere, the fuel consumption rate decreases, but even if a catalyst for purifying NOx is used, its performance deteriorates with time.
Therefore, there is an exhaust gas treatment method that alternately repeats a lean treatment process in which an exhaust gas having a high oxygen content is circulated and a fuel rich process process in which an exhaust gas having a low oxygen content is circulated.
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described circumstances, and is an exhaust gas treatment that suppresses the slip of ammonia that is by-produced in a fuel-rich (rich) state rather than the stoichiometric air-fuel ratio and promotes the reduction of nitrogen oxides. An object of the present invention is to provide an industrial catalyst, a method for producing the same, and a method for treating exhaust gas.
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention is a catalyst for treating exhaust gas containing carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides, wherein the catalyst has a noble metal supported on a carrier component made of an inorganic compound. The “solid acid component” is a component containing a solid acid point. The solid acid component is generally composed of an inorganic compound, and also serves as a carrier component (carrier) for supporting an active metal having catalytic activity such as denitration performance.
Vanadium, tungsten, and sulfur are generally supported in the form of an oxide in the solid acid component. These, TiO 2, Al 2 O 3 , ZrO 2, SiO 2 -Al 2 O 3, TiO 2 -SiO 2, TiO 2 -Al 2 O 3, TiO 2 -ZrO 2, TiO 2 -CeO 2, La 2 The solid acid component supported on at least one selected from the group consisting of O 3 —ZrO 2 —Al 2 O 3 is less likely to cause sintering.
Further, in the exhaust gas treatment catalyst according to the present invention, in addition to the solid acid component (first carrier component), as the second carrier component, for example, cerium oxide (CeO 2 , Ce 2 O 3 ) or zirconium oxide. Inorganic oxides such as (ZrO 2 ) can be included. The amount ratio of the second carrier component is not limited, but is generally 10 to 99% by weight, preferably 50 to 95% by weight in total with the solid acid component. Such a second carrier component functions to make noble metals, alkali metals, and alkaline earth metals exist in a highly dispersed state.

Two or more of these can be used in any combination. For example, combinations of Pt and Rh, Pt and Ru, Pt and Pd, etc. are used.
The amount of noble metal supported in the catalyst of the present invention is usually about 0.1 to 3% by weight, preferably about 0.3 to 2% by weight in terms of metal elements, based on the whole catalyst including the support component. It is not limited, and when it consists of a combination of the above-mentioned noble metals, the amount may exceed the range.

Manufacturing method of exhaust gas treatment catalyst (part 3)
This form comprises a step of preparing a solid acid component, a step of sizing the solid acid component, a step of preparing a catalyst-carrying component, and a step of extruding after mixing the catalyst-carrying component with a molding aid. The manufacturing method is performed in this order.

Exhaust gas treatment method The exhaust gas treatment catalyst of the present invention and the catalyst produced by the production method of the exhaust gas treatment method of the exhaust gas containing carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides are all treated with the exhaust gas at 100 to 600 ° C. It is suitable for a processing method by alternately circulating a lean processing step in which exhaust gas having a high oxygen content is distributed and a fuel rich processing step in which exhaust gas having a low oxygen content is distributed. Used.
4NO+3O3+2BaCO3→2Ba(NO3)2+2CO2 (1)
Here, the exhaust gas having a high oxygen content is an exhaust gas generated when an oxygen-rich mixture containing a larger amount of oxygen than in the case of a stoichiometric air-fuel ratio is combusted, and an exhaust gas having a low oxygen content is It means exhaust gas produced when an air-fuel mixture containing a small amount of oxygen is burned compared to the case of a stoichiometric air-fuel ratio. The stoichiometric air-fuel ratio is the air-fuel ratio of the oxygen-excess mixture that contains the amount of oxygen necessary to completely oxidize the fuel in the mixture.
First, in a treatment process in a lean state with a high oxygen content, a reaction of the following formula (1) occurs as a purification reaction of nitrogen oxides, and NO in the exhaust gas is accumulated in the exhaust gas treatment catalyst.
4NO + 3O 3 + 2BaCO 3 → 2Ba (NO 3 ) 2 + 2CO 2 (1)
Ba(NO3)2+CO→BaCO3+N2+2O2 (2)
Next, in the treatment process in a rich state with a low oxygen content, a reaction of the following formula (2) occurs as a nitrogen oxide purification reaction, and nitrogen oxide accumulated in the exhaust gas treatment catalyst is discharged as N 2 , Nitrogen oxides are purified from the exhaust gas.
Ba (NO 3 ) 2 + CO → BaCO 3 + N 2 + 2O 2 (2)
4NH3 + 4NO + O2 → 4N2 + 6H2O (3)
4NH3 + 3O2 → 2N2 + 6H2O (4)
As already described, ammonia accumulated in the rich state is decomposed by the following equations (3) and (4) in the lean state.
4NH 3 + 4NO + O 2 → 4N 2 + 6H 2 O (3)
4NH 3 + 3O 2 → 2N 2 + 6H 2 O (4)
In this processing method, the lean processing step and the rich processing step are alternately repeated, but the switching time is not particularly limited, and the operating status and operating environment of the internal combustion engine (temperature, humidity, etc.) ). Specifically, for example, after a lean processing step is performed for 50 to 58 seconds within one minute, a rich processing step is performed for 2 to 10 seconds, and then the lean processing step is transferred again. .
Moreover, the preferable temperature range in the process process of a lean state and the process process of a rich state is 100-750 degreeC normally, Preferably it is about 150-500 degreeC. Therefore, it is desirable to set the temperature at which the catalyst and the exhaust gas stream are in contact, that is, the so-called reaction gas temperature, within the above temperature range.
The present exhaust gas treatment method includes the above-described lean state treatment step and rich state treatment step, and each step is continuously repeated a plurality of times.
The exhaust gas treatment method of the present invention includes a method of treating the exhaust gas treatment catalyst by arbitrarily combining other catalysts in addition to the exhaust gas treatment catalyst.
The catalyst of the present invention has a high NOx and hydrocarbon purification capacity. For example, in order to obtain a higher hydrocarbon purification capacity, it can be combined with a hydrocarbon combustion catalyst. As a combination method, a hydrocarbon combustion catalyst can be disposed in the exhaust gas flow path after the exhaust gas purification catalyst according to the present invention.
The exhaust gas that can be treated in the present invention is not particularly limited, and can be applied to the treatment of exhaust gas containing nitrogen oxides (NOx), carbon monoxide (CO), and hydrocarbons (HC). It is suitably used for the treatment of gas, boiler exhaust gas from factories, etc., heating furnace exhaust gas and the like.
In particular, by mounting the catalyst of the present invention on the exhaust system of a lean burn internal combustion engine, it is possible to remarkably suppress the emission of nitrogen oxides outside the vehicle. The catalyst of the present invention is also effective for treating exhaust gas discharged from a diesel engine of a diesel vehicle. Diesel engines are operated at a high air / fuel ratio with excess oxygen, and the catalyst of the present invention exhibits excellent activity even in the presence of oxygen. Therefore, even if exhaust gas is exhausted from diesel engines, it effectively purifies nitrogen oxides. can do.

It is understood that when the solid acid oxide containing alumina having a solid acid amount of 0.06 mmol / g is mixed as in the comparative catalyst 1, the initial performance is slightly low and the slip ammonia is large. In addition, the reaction rate of the catalyst after aging was remarkably lowered to 2/3 of the initial performance. On the other hand, in all of the catalysts 1 to 16 of the present invention, the reaction rate of the catalyst after aging was hardly lowered while maintaining a level of initial performance or higher (initial denitration rate of 60% or higher). From this, it was found that the catalyst of the present invention in which a solid acid oxide having a solid acid amount of 0.1 mmol / g or more can be used for a long time.
