Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a grip for a golf club and a golf club using the same.
In recent years, golf clubs have been reduced in weight by using carbon fiber reinforced resin or the like for the shaft in order to increase the head speed during swing.
On the other hand, due to the weight reduction of the shaft, vibrations and impacts uncomfortable for the player may occur on the shaft when hitting. In golf play, since it is not preferable to feel numbness or discomfort due to vibration or impact of the shaft when hitting a ball, various attempts have been made to suppress the vibration of the shaft.
For example, a metal weight supported via viscoelasticity is arranged on the inner peripheral side of the shaft end to which the grip is attached, and vibration of the shaft is suppressed by this weight (for example, see Patent Document 1) A rod-shaped loss tangent (tan δ) of 0.7 or more is inserted into a state where the viscoelastic body is in contact with the inner peripheral surface on the inner peripheral side of the shaft end (see, for example, Patent Document 2). Proposed.
However, in the golf club according to Patent Document 1, the weight of the weight and the like is heavy, which increases the weight of the entire golf club, which is not preferable from the viewpoint of weight reduction. Further, in the golf club according to
The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and for golf clubs that can effectively suppress vibration of the shaft and improve the feel at the time of hitting without greatly increasing the weight. An object is to provide a grip and a golf club using the grip.
The grip for a golf club of the present invention includes a cylindrical grip body into which one end portion of a cylindrical shaft is inserted, a grip end portion that is disposed on one end surface side of the grip body and covers one end surface of the shaft, A protrusion that is made of a viscoelastic material and protrudes from the grip end portion toward the other end of the shaft and is arranged on the inner peripheral surface side of the shaft so as not to contact the inner peripheral surface of the shaft. Yes.
According to the golf club grip configured as described above, since the protrusion is disposed so as not to contact the inner peripheral surface of the shaft, the vibration caused by the hit ball is generated in the shaft. Resonates on the inner peripheral surface side of the shaft, and the effect of absorbing vibration is obtained by the resonance of the protrusions. Therefore, the vibration of the shaft accompanying the hit ball can be effectively suppressed. In addition, since the protrusion is formed of a viscoelastic body, it can be made lighter than a weight body such as a metal as in the conventional example, and the golf club as a whole to which the golf club grip is attached. There is no significant increase in weight.
In the golf club grip, the protrusion has a complex elastic modulus of 2.0 × 10 7 dyn / cm 2 or more measured at a frequency of 10 Hz under a condition of 0 to 10 ° C. and 1.0 × 10 10 dyn. A viscoelastic material of / cm 2 or less is preferable.
If the complex elastic modulus is less than 2.0 × 10 7 dyn / cm 2 , the protrusion becomes too soft and the golf club becomes unstable during a swing or the protrusion swings too much and makes a sound. There is a risk of causing. Further, the amplitude of the protrusion may not match the vibration frequency of the shaft. On the other hand, if the complex elastic modulus is greater than 1.0 × 10 10 dyn / cm 2 , the protrusions may become too hard and the amplitude thereof may be reduced, which may not match the shaft frequency. Therefore, the protrusion can more effectively suppress the vibration of the shaft by using a viscoelastic material having a complex elastic modulus in the above range.
In the golf club grip, the protrusion preferably has a weight of 0.5 g to 5 g and a length of 10 mm to 50 mm.
If the weight of the protrusion exceeds 5 g, the weight of the entire golf club becomes heavy, and the operability is impaired. If it is lighter than 0.5 g, the protrusions do not resonate and vibrations may not be sufficiently suppressed.
If the length of the protrusion is less than 10 mm, the protrusion may not resonate and vibration may not be sufficiently suppressed. If the length exceeds 50 mm, the swinging width of the protrusions may become too large to match the shaft frequency, and the protrusions may come into contact with the inner peripheral surface of the shaft, and sound can be produced. Increases nature.
In the golf club grip, the protrusion may be cylindrical. In this case, since the projection is thin, the projection itself is easily deformed in the radial direction. Therefore, the vibration of the shaft can be more effectively suppressed by causing the protrusion itself to vibrate with deformation in the radial direction in addition to the whole protrusion swinging during resonance. .
In the golf club grip described above, it is preferable that a through hole is formed in the grip end portion.
In this case, it is possible to adjust the rigidity of the grip end portion by forming the through hole in the grip end portion that becomes the starting end portion of the protrusion portion, and to reduce the vibration characteristics related to the resonance of the protrusion portion. It can be adjusted appropriately.
In addition, the golf club of the present invention includes a cylindrical shaft, a cylindrical grip body in which one end of the shaft is inserted on the inner peripheral side, and one end of the shaft disposed on one end surface side of the grip body. A grip end portion that covers the end surface, and a protrusion that is made of a viscoelastic material and protrudes from the grip end portion toward the other end of the shaft and is disposed on the inner peripheral surface side of the shaft so as not to contact the inner peripheral surface of the shaft And a head part attached to the other end of the shaft.
According to the golf club configured as described above, since the golf club grip is provided with the protruding portion made of a viscoelastic material, as described above, without significantly increasing the weight of the entire golf club. The vibration of the shaft accompanying the hitting ball can be effectively suppressed by the resonance of the protrusion.
According to the present invention, since the vibration of the shaft can be effectively suppressed without greatly increasing the weight, it is possible to provide a golf club having a good feeling at the time of hitting.
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. FIG. 1 is an external view showing a golf club grip and a golf club using the same according to a first embodiment of the present invention. This golf club 1 is a so-called wood-type golf club, a
FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view of the grip side end portion of the golf club 1. The

Note that the
According to the
As described above, since the vibration of the

FIG. 4A is a front view of the grip side end surface of the golf club 1 according to the third embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 4B is a cross-sectional view taken along line BB in FIG. The main difference between the present embodiment and the first and second embodiments is that the

The present invention is not limited to the above embodiment. For example, in the first embodiment, the protrusion is a columnar shape, but may be a prismatic shape, a columnar shape having an elliptical section, or a columnar shape having an irregular cross section. Moreover, the weight-shaped part by which the front-end | tip of the projection part was made larger than the outer diameter of a columnar part may be formed. In this case, the protrusion is more easily vibrated by the weight-shaped portion, and the vibration suppressing effect can be increased.
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described more specifically with reference to examples and comparative examples, but the present invention is not limited to these examples.
(Examples and Comparative Examples)
The golf clubs of the examples according to the present invention and the golf clubs of the comparative examples were produced, and the effects of the present invention were verified by experimentally evaluating them.
The golf clubs according to the examples and comparative examples used for the evaluation had substantially the same specifications except for the grip end portion in the grip. That is, as a common specification in all examples, a hollow cylindrical shaft formed by laminating a fiber reinforced prepreg (sheet-like carbon fiber reinforced resin) is used for the shaft, and a so-called wood type is used for the head portion. The head part was used.
The shaft is made by a sheet winding method. That is, a large number of fiber-reinforced prepregs molded into a predetermined shape are sequentially wound around a core metal (not shown), laminated, wrapped with a tape made of polyethylene terephthalate resin, etc., and heated and pressed in an oven to form a resin. Is cured and formed integrally, and then the cored bar is pulled out to obtain a hollow cylindrical shaft.

グリップエンド部の材質としては、後述する表1のようにSBR(複素弾性率5.07×107dyn/cm2)、SBRにカーボンブラックを添加したもの(同3.86×108dyn/cm2)、PEBAX(ATOCHEM社製PEBAX5533)(同2.72×109dyn/cm2)、11−NYLON(同1.45×1010dyn/cm2)、シリコンゴム(同1.41×107dyn/cm2)、の5種類を用いた。
The grip was bonded after molding the grip body and the grip end separately. The grip body was press-molded at 150 ° C. for 30 minutes with a kneaded rubber compounded with 100 parts by weight of SBR, 1.5 parts by weight of sulfur and 40 parts by weight of carbon black.
As a material of the grip end portion, SBR (complex elastic modulus 5.07 × 10 7 dyn / cm 2 ) as shown in Table 1 described later, carbon black added to SBR (3.86 × 10 8 dyn / same). cm 2 ), PEBAX (PEBAX5533 manufactured by ATOCHEM) (2.72 × 10 9 dyn / cm 2 ), 11-NYLON (1.45 × 10 10 dyn / cm 2 ), silicon rubber (1.41 × 10 7 dyn / cm 2 ). PEBAX and 11-NYRON were injection-molded, and the others were press-molded under the same conditions as the grip body described above. In all the examples, the grip end portion and the protrusion shown in the above embodiment were integrally formed, and the protrusion was formed of the same material as the grip end portion.
Thus, 11 types (Examples 1 to 11) were prepared as examples of grip end portions having protrusions. In addition, one type (Comparative Example 1) was prepared as a comparative example in which a grip end portion having no protrusion was formed.
As the evaluation method, the golf clubs of the examples and comparative examples were measured for shaft vibration damping rate and evaluated for actual hitting. The measurement of the vibration damping rate was performed as follows. That is, as shown in FIG. 7, the grip end 2c of the
In the actual hit evaluation, the ease of swinging the club and the vibration absorption were evaluated. As the evaluation method, 22 golfers (male who have been playing golf for more than 10 years, who still meet the requirements to play at least once a month) actually try the ball, and the club is easy to swing and absorbs vibration. Each was scored on a 5-point scale (the better the more), and the average value of the scoring results was evaluated by comparing each example and comparative example.
Table 1 shows the specifications and evaluation results of each example and comparative example.
In the table, the complex elastic modulus was measured using a viscoelasticity measuring device (Viscoelasticity Spectrometer DVA200 manufactured by Shimadzu Corporation) after molding a test piece under predetermined conditions. The measurement conditions were as follows: test piece dimensions: width 4.0 mm, thickness 1.6 mm, displacement part length dimension 20.0 mm, frequency 10 Hz,
The “gap dimension T” in the table is a gap dimension T, which is the distance between the protrusion and the inner peripheral surface of the shaft, as shown in FIG.
The protrusion of Example 8 was formed in a cylindrical shape as shown in FIG. 3, and its inner diameter was 2 mm.
In Example 9, the through-hole formed in the grip end portion had the shape of the through-hole shown in FIG.
As shown in Table 1, it can be seen that the values of the vibration damping rate and the vibration absorption value of the actual hit evaluation in all the examples are larger than those of the comparative example. Further, in Example 8 in which the protruding portion is cylindrical, and in Example 9 in which the through hole is formed in the grip end portion, the vibration damping is increased compared to the other examples because the degree of freedom with respect to the vibration of the protruding portion is increased. The value of the rate and the vibration absorption value of the actual hit evaluation are high.
From the above results, according to the present invention, it was confirmed that a golf club having a good feeling at the time of hitting can be obtained by effectively suppressing the vibration of the shaft without greatly increasing the weight.
