廃家電の構成材料中特にプラスチック、断熱材等をリサイクルする為に有害なる電線の被服部(主に塩素を含有する塩ビ)、銅分を選別、除去する必要がある。
従来破砕済廃家電等の構成材料から金属類の選別、除去は渦電流を利用した非磁性金属の選別や、金属センサーと圧縮空気を利用した金属の選別装置が開発されているが何れの機器も電線(特に被服付電線)等の選別は困難であった。Waste home appliances are crushed as a first step for facilitating the recycling of the components of waste home appliances after removing harmful gases (fluorocarbons) and the like.
