従来破砕済廃家電等の構成材料から金属類の選別、除去は渦電流を利用した非磁性金属の選別や、金属センサーと圧縮空気を利用した金属の選別装置が開発されているが何れの機器も電線(特に被服付電線)等の選別は困難であった。
