Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an exhaust gas measuring device, and more particularly to an apparatus for measuring the concentration of hydrocarbons and the like contained in engine exhaust gas.
However, the above apparatus has the following problems.
The partial dilution method (also referred to as “mini-dilution method”) adopted by the above-mentioned apparatus is not permitted by law in Japan to be applied to the exhaust gas test of passenger cars and commercial vehicles of a predetermined weight or less. In the exhaust gas test for these vehicles, it is required to measure the entire amount of exhaust gas. In order to dilute the entire amount of exhaust gas with the dilution gas from the gas cylinder, a gas cylinder having an extremely large capacity is required.
On the other hand, a constant volume sampling device (hereinafter referred to as “CVS device”) is known as a device that measures the THC concentration by diluting the entire amount of exhaust gas. This CVS device has an inverse relationship between the dilution and sampling of the exhaust gas compared to the partial dilution method described above, and measures the THC concentration of the exhaust gas after dilution, while sampling the diluted gas and backing it up. The THC concentration of the diluted exhaust gas stored in the ground bag is measured to correct the THC concentration of the exhaust gas after dilution. In such a CVS apparatus, since air or the like can be used as a dilution gas, it is not necessary to install the large-capacity gas cylinder mentioned above as a problem, but there is another problem as follows.
That is, in the CVS apparatus, the dilution gas stored in the background bag is collected at a constant flow rate. On the other hand, the flow rate of the exhaust gas of the engine fluctuates during the test due to changes in the engine speed, etc., and the flow rate of the dilution gas introduced into the dilution tunnel fluctuates due to the fluctuation of the exhaust gas flow rate. That is, there is no correlation between the amount of dilution gas actually used for dilution and the amount of dilution gas taken into the background bag every time, even if the amount of dilution gas flowing through the dilution tunnel fluctuates, Dilution gas was not collected in the background bag according to the fluctuation amount. Therefore, strictly speaking, the amount of THC in the diluted gas collected in the background bag did not represent a representative value of the total amount of gas used for dilution. The influence of such a change in the amount of diluted gas introduced could be ignored because the THC concentration in the exhaust gas itself was somewhat high. However, in recent low-emission engines, the THC concentration is very low, and the influence of fluctuations in the flow rate of the dilution gas flowing through the dilution tunnel cannot be ignored.
Therefore, the present invention provides an exhaust gas that can collect the dilution gas in an amount corresponding to the flow rate fluctuation in the background bag even if the flow rate of the dilution gas flowing through the dilution tunnel fluctuates when the total amount of the exhaust gas is to be measured. It aims at providing a measuring device.
The present invention provides an apparatus for measuring the concentration of a specific test substance contained in engine exhaust gas. In the apparatus according to the present invention, the exhaust gas of the engine is caused to flow into a dilution tunnel through which a dilution gas having a lower concentration of the test substance than the exhaust gas flows, and the exhaust gas is diluted with the dilution gas. The dilution gas before dilution is collected from the upstream side of the joining portion of the exhaust gas, and the diluted exhaust gas is collected from the downstream side. And as a density | concentration of the to-be-tested substance contained in each of these extract | collected gas, a 1st density | concentration is measured about the waste gas after dilution, a 2nd density | concentration is measured about a dilution gas, and each of these measured density | concentration is also measured. And the net concentration of the test substance contained in the exhaust gas after dilution is calculated. Here, according to the present invention, the dilution air in an amount proportional to the flow rate of the dilution air flowing through the dilution tunnel is collected from the dilution tunnel into the background bag, and the concentration of the test substance contained in the collected dilution gas Is measured as the second concentration.
According to the present invention, first, the concentration of the test substance contained in the exhaust gas after dilution is measured as the first concentration, the concentration of the test substance contained in the dilution gas is measured as the second concentration, This was reflected in the concentration calculation. For this reason, what can be adopted as a dilution gas is not limited to pure inert gas, for example, it is possible to adopt air in a laboratory, so there is no need to provide a gas cylinder, and the size of the apparatus is increased. Can be avoided.
Second, the amount of dilution air that is proportional to the flow rate of dilution air flowing through the dilution tunnel is collected in the background bag from the dilution tunnel, so that even if the flow rate of dilution gas flowing through the dilution tunnel fluctuates, it is always constant. The dilution gas can be collected at a ratio of Therefore, the reliability of the measurement of the concentration of the test substance contained in the diluted air can be improved, and the accuracy of calculation of the net concentration of the test substance contained in the exhaust gas after dilution can be improved.
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 shows the configuration of an exhaust

Here, the exhaust
Next, the operation of the exhaust
In S0, the inside of the negative
In S1, the impure gas in the
Since the volume of the negative
In S2, the diluted exhaust gas THC concentration THCd is measured. First, the integrated value σTHC set in the control unit C is reset to zero. The blower 5 is operated to introduce dilution air into the
In S3, the background concentration THCb is measured. During measurement of the instantaneous value THCi in S2, the energization of the three-way solenoid valve 11 is turned off, the dilution
In S4, the net concentration THCe of THC contained in the exhaust gas after dilution is calculated. The net concentration of THC THCe is the concentration of THC contained in the exhaust gas after dilution when the influence is removed and the THC concentration in the diluted air is set to 0 when THC is contained in the diluted air. That is. Based on the input diluted exhaust gas THC concentration THCd and background concentration THCb, the control unit C calculates the net concentration THCe of THC contained in the exhaust gas after dilution by the following equation (1). The dilution rate is DF.
THCe=THCd−(1−1/DF)×THCb ・・・(1)
THCe = THCd− (1-1 / DF) × THCb (1)
In the equation (1), the dilution rate DF can be estimated as a function of the THC concentration THCd contained in the exhaust gas after dilution.
Further, the THC emission amount THCmass contained in the diluted exhaust gas is calculated by the following equation (2) based on the net concentration THCe of THC obtained by the above equation (1).
THCmass=Vmix×THC密度×THCe ・・・(2)
本実施形態に関し、全炭化水素計Dが持つS2(瞬時値THCiの算出及び希釈排ガスTHC濃度THCdの測定)の機能が第1の濃度測定手段に相当し、全炭化水素計Dが持つS3(バックグラウンド濃度THCbの測定)の機能が第2の濃度測定手段に相当する。
THCmass = Vmix × THC density × THCe (2)
Here, Vmix is the amount of diluted exhaust gas per 1 km traveling in the standard state (20 ° C., 760 mmHg state). The THC density is a mass per liter of HC in a standard state, and is represented by a predetermined constant.
With respect to the present embodiment, the function of S2 (calculation of instantaneous value THCi and measurement of diluted exhaust gas THC concentration THCd) possessed by the total hydrocarbon meter D corresponds to the first concentration measuring means, and S3 ( The function of (measurement of background concentration THCb) corresponds to the second concentration measuring means. Further, the function of S4 (measurement of the exhaust gas THC concentration THCe) of the control unit C corresponds to the concentration calculating means.
According to this embodiment, the following effects can be obtained.
In the present embodiment, when measuring exhaust gas, the diluted air flowing through the
In the present embodiment, by using the negative
Other embodiments will be described below.
FIG. 3 shows the configuration of the exhaust
In FIG. 3, the same components as those in the exhaust
Next, the operation of the exhaust
In S1, the impure gas in the
In S2, the diluted exhaust gas THC concentration THCd is measured. This operation is as described with reference to FIG.
In S3, the background concentration THCb is measured. In S2, during the measurement of the instantaneous value THCi, the energization of the three-way solenoid valve 11 is turned off, the dilution
In S4, the net concentration THCe of THC contained in the exhaust gas after dilution is calculated. This operation is as described with reference to FIG.
