Abstract
【解決手段】隔壁により仕切られた、軸方向に貫通する多数のセルを有するセラミックハニカム構造体1の端面に、マスクとなるフィルム4を貼着し、フィルム4の所定のセル2a、2bの開口部に対応した位置に貫通孔3a、3bを設け、セラミックハニカム構造体1の端面を、貯留容器5内に貯留された封止用スラリー6に浸漬して加圧し、フィルム4の貫通孔3a、3bを通じて所定のセル2a、2bの開口部に封止用スラリー6を圧入させて当該開口部を封止する。フィルム4に貫通孔を設ける際には、2種類以上の孔径の異なる貫通孔3a、3bを設ける。

Claims (3)
- 隔壁により仕切られた、軸方向に貫通する多数のセルを有するセラミックハニカム構造体の端面に、マスクとなるフィルムを貼着し、当該フィルムの所定のセルの開口部に対応した位置に貫通孔を設け、前記セラミックハニカム構造体の端面を、貯留容器内に貯留された封止用スラリーに浸漬して加圧し、前記フィルムの貫通孔を通じて前記所定のセルの開口部に前記封止用スラリーを圧入させて当該開口部を封止することにより、端面で所定のセルが封止されたセラミックハニカム構造体を製造する方法であって、
前記フィルムに前記貫通孔を設ける際に、2種類以上の孔径の異なる貫通孔を設けるようにしたセラミックハニカム構造体の製造方法。 - 前記所定のセルの開口部の位置によって、前記所定のセルの開口部に対応した位置に設ける貫通孔の孔径を異ならせた請求項1に記載のセラミックハニカム構造体の製造方法。
- 前記セラミックハニカム構造体の外周近傍部に位置するセルの開口部に対応した位置に設ける貫通孔の孔径を、前記セラミックハニカム構造体の中央部に位置するセルの開口部に対応した位置に設ける貫通孔の孔径よりも大きくなるようにした請求項1に記載のセラミックハニカム構造体の製造方法。
