Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a spectacle lens.
Conventionally, spectacle lenses in which a hard coat layer and an antireflection layer are formed on a substrate have been used.
In such a spectacle lens, the outermost layer is a layer containing silicon dioxide to improve the abrasion resistance of the spectacle lens (for example, see Patent Document 1).
When the outermost layer of the spectacle lens is a layer containing silicon dioxide, it is possible to prevent the occurrence of some scratches, but due to rough handling by the user, etc. There may be a deep scratch on the surface of the spectacle lens that can be recognized by the user. Therefore, a spectacle lens having a conventional configuration cannot always have a sufficient scratch resistance.
An object of the present invention is to provide a spectacle lens that can prevent generation of scratches recognizable by a user or the like and has high scratch resistance.
The spectacle lens of the present invention is characterized in that the outermost layer provided above the substrate is a fluorine-containing amorphous carbon layer.
Since the fluorine-containing amorphous carbon layer contains amorphous carbon having a diamond structure, the fluorine-containing amorphous carbon layer has high hardness and also contains fluorine, so that the friction coefficient is low and the slipping property is high. Therefore, it is possible to improve the abrasion resistance of the spectacle lens by using such a fluorine-containing amorphous carbon layer as the outermost layer.
In addition, since the reflectance of the fluorine-containing amorphous carbon layer in the visible light region can be 3% or less, such a fluorine-containing amorphous carbon layer is formed on the outermost layer of the spectacle lens. Even if formed, the reflectance of the spectacle lens is hardly affected.
The spectacle lens of the present invention comprises a base material, a fluorine-containing amorphous carbon layer provided above the base material, and an outermost layer above the fluorine-containing amorphous carbon layer, and the surface of the outermost layer From the above, the surface of the fluorine-containing amorphous carbon layer is located within a range of 50 nm or less.
Here, the surface of the outermost layer refers to a surface located on the side opposite to the surface of the outermost layer on the substrate side.
In addition, the surface of the fluorine-containing amorphous carbon layer refers to a surface located on the side opposite to the surface of the fluorine-containing amorphous carbon layer on the substrate side.
Furthermore, the surface of the fluorine-containing amorphous carbon layer is located within the range of 50 nm or less from the surface of the outermost layer. For example, the outermost layer is directly formed on the fluorine-containing amorphous carbon layer. The case where the thickness of a surface layer is 50 nm or less is mentioned. Moreover, when the other layer is arrange | positioned between a fluorine-containing amorphous carbon layer and outermost layer, the sum total of the thickness of outermost layer and another layer should just be 50 nm or less.
When the surface of the fluorine-containing amorphous carbon layer is located within the range of 50 nm or less from the surface of the outermost layer, a part of the layer above the fluorine-containing amorphous carbon layer is scratched and peeled by an external force. Even if the fluorine-containing amorphous carbon layer is not damaged, the user does not recognize it as a scratch. Here, as described above, since the fluorine-containing amorphous carbon layer has high scratch resistance, the fluorine-containing amorphous carbon layer is hardly damaged. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the occurrence of scratches that are recognized by the user or the like, and to provide a spectacle lens having high scratch resistance.
Further, since it is possible to reduce the reflectance of the fluorine-containing amorphous carbon layer in the visible light region to 3% or less, such a fluorine-containing amorphous carbon layer is formed on the spectacle lens. However, it hardly affects the reflectance of the spectacle lens.
Furthermore, in the present invention, it is preferable that an antireflection layer is formed above the base material, and the fluorine-containing amorphous carbon layer is formed above the antireflection layer.
According to the present invention, the antireflection characteristic of the spectacle lens can be improved by providing the spectacle lens with the antireflection layer.
In the present invention, the antireflective layer is formed by alternately laminating a plurality of high refractive index layers and low refractive index layers having different refractive indexes, and at least one of the low refractive index layers contains fluorine. An amorphous carbon layer is preferred.
In the present invention, as a material for forming the high refractive index layer, for example, zirconium oxide, titanium oxide, tantalum oxide, or niobium oxide can be used.
According to the present invention, the overall strength of the spectacle lens can be increased by forming at least one of the low refractive index layers of the antireflection layer as a fluorine-containing amorphous carbon layer.
Examples of conventional general antireflection layers include those using silicon dioxide for the low refractive index layer and zirconium oxide, titanium oxide, tantalum oxide, niobium oxide for the high refractive index layer. Even when the layer is a fluorine-containing amorphous carbon layer, the same optical characteristics as those of the conventional antireflection layer can be exhibited.
In the spectacle lens of the present invention, the base material is preferably a plastic lens.
It is possible to reduce the weight by making the spectacle lens base material plastic. Furthermore, since a spectacle lens having a plastic base material has low scratch resistance, a spectacle lens having high scratch resistance can be provided by providing a fluorine-containing amorphous carbon layer on the surface of the base material. .
Furthermore, in the spectacle lens of the present invention, it is preferable that a hard coat layer is formed above the substrate, and the fluorine-containing amorphous carbon layer is formed above the hard coat layer.
Since a spectacle lens having a plastic base material has low scratch resistance, it is possible to further improve the scratch resistance by providing a hard coat layer.
In addition, by providing a hard coat layer between the fluorine-containing amorphous carbon layer and the plastic substrate, it is possible to improve the adhesion of these layers to the substrate. Abrasion improves.
Moreover, it is preferable that the primer layer is formed between the said base material and the said hard-coat layer.
With this configuration, the impact resistance of the spectacle lens can be improved.

It should be noted that the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and modifications, improvements, and the like within the scope that can achieve the object of the present invention are included in the present invention.

The fluorine-containing amorphous carbon layer has high water repellency because it has a low coefficient of friction and high slipperiness.
