Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a video projection system capable of projecting an all-around video (panoramic video).
However, when an image is projected using the above-described omnidirectional lens, fish-eye lens, or wide-angle lens, there is a problem in that the image distortion (particularly, the distortion at the four corners of the image) becomes large and the appearance is poor. It was. In addition, in a video projection device configured by arranging a plurality of projectors, there is a gap between the images projected by the projectors, and the video of that portion is lost, which also deteriorates the appearance. There was a problem. On the other hand, if a plurality of projectors are arranged so that the images overlap each other, the overlapping portion and the non-overlapping portion make the viewer feel uncomfortable.
In view of such circumstances, an object of the present invention is to provide a video projection system capable of projecting a omnidirectional video that looks good from any direction.
In order to achieve the above object, an invention according to claim 2 is an image projection system capable of projecting an image all around.
A plurality of projectors, and a plurality of cameras corresponding to each of the plurality of projectors,
The video signals generated by the plurality of cameras are each configured to be transmitted to a corresponding projector,
Projector rotating means for rotating each of the plurality of arranged projectors while arranging each of the plurality of projectors at equal intervals in the circumferential direction;
Each of the plurality of cameras is arranged at equal intervals in the circumferential direction, and camera rotating means for rotating the arranged cameras,
And a rotation control means for controlling the projector rotation means and the camera rotation means so as to coincide with each other.
The video projection system according to claim 2, configured as described above, includes a plurality of projectors and a plurality of cameras corresponding to each of the plurality of projectors, and receives video signals generated by the plurality of cameras. Each of the projectors is configured to transmit to a corresponding projector. That is, the same number of projectors and cameras are provided, and the video signal generated by one camera is supplied to the corresponding one projector.
Further, each of the plurality of projectors is arranged at equal intervals in the circumferential direction, and a projector rotating unit that rotates the plurality of arranged projectors, and each of the plurality of cameras is arranged at equal intervals in the circumferential direction. The camera rotation means for rotating the plurality of cameras arranged, and the rotation control means for controlling the rotation speed of the projector rotation means and the camera rotation means to coincide with each other. In this way, when the four projectors are stationary, even if there is a gap between the video displayed by one projector and the video displayed by the adjacent projector, By rotating a plurality of projectors at the same time, it becomes possible for the viewer to appear as if a uniform image is displayed over the entire periphery. As a result, without using a special lens such as a wide-angle lens, it is possible to project an all-around image that looks good from any direction using a projector and camera that employ a lens with a normal viewing angle. Become.
x=60b/a…式(1)
In the invention according to
x = 60b / a Formula (1)
In the third aspect configured as described above, with respect to the image projected on the projector, a time interval at which a frame is switched and a time interval at which the image from one projector is switched to the next projector image by rotation of the projector. Since it is possible to do the same, a uniform all-around image can be obtained.
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, the video signal generated by the plurality of cameras is temporarily stored, and the video signal storage means for transmitting the video signal to the corresponding projector is provided. .
In the fourth aspect configured as described above, it is possible to temporarily hold the video signals generated by the plurality of cameras and project the images later by the plurality of projectors.
According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, there are provided four projectors and four cameras, respectively.
In claim 5 configured as described above, the rotational speed of the camera obtained from the equation (1) is not so high, and the number of projectors and cameras to be installed is not too high, resulting in an increase in cost. Soaring can be suppressed.

In the invention according to
In the invention according to claim 4, it is possible to temporarily hold video signals generated by a plurality of cameras and project the images later by a plurality of projectors.

x=60b/a…式(1)
Next, a method for controlling the rotation speed of the
In the
x = 60b / a Formula (1)
In the
FIG. 3 is a diagram showing a state in which an image projected on a part (60a) of the
Here, as shown in FIG. 3B, the

(2) Second embodiment:
In the second embodiment described below, the video projection system includes eight cameras and projectors, a camera rotation device that rotates the eight cameras at the same time, and a projector rotation device that rotates the eight projectors at the same time. The case will be described. In the following description, it is assumed that the number of frames per second of images projected by eight projectors is 30 (fps), as in the case of the first embodiment.
FIG. 4 is a diagram schematically illustrating a video projection system according to the second embodiment. In the figure, a
The eight
The eight
In the
Here, the time for the image projected on a part of the
(3) Various modifications:
In the first embodiment described above, there are four cameras and projectors included in the video projection system, and in the second embodiment, there are eight cameras and projectors. However, in the present invention, the video projection system includes The number of cameras and projectors provided is not particularly limited as long as they are arranged at equal intervals in the circumferential direction. For example, 16 cameras and projectors may be provided, and in this case, the rotational speed of the camera and projector is 112.5 (rpm) according to the above equation (1).
In the present invention, the rotation speed x of the camera rotation device and the projector rotation device is not necessarily controlled to satisfy the above expression (1). However, if the rotation speed is too slow, it is visually recognized that there is a gap between the video displayed by one projector and the video displayed by the projector next to it. I can't get it. Therefore, the rotation speeds of the camera rotation device and the projector rotation device need to be appropriately set in consideration of the size of the interval between the images of the projector.
In the above-described embodiment, the case where the video projection system is configured so that the video signals generated by the four cameras are temporarily stored in the hard disk drive has been described. In this case, each of the video signals generated by the four cameras may be stored in four video tapes. In this case, for example, it is desirable to record the control signal on the control track of the video tape at the timing when the camera rotates once by the camera rotation device. This is because when the four video tapes are reproduced simultaneously and the video signals are transmitted to the four projectors, they can be synchronized by the control signals.
