Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a digital multi-function peripheral (MFP) applied as an image transmission device having an image transmission function such as a scanner and a facsimile.
More specifically, a normal mode transmission document and an error collection mode (ECM) transmission document are simultaneously searched for one destination, and each document is continuously transmitted in a predetermined communication mode (see Patent Document). 1).
According to another conventional invention, a plurality of documents are selected from a list of displayed documents without repeating the same operation, and batch processing is performed (see Patent Document 2).
However, depending on the conventional transmission means, the same data may not be transmitted between the transmission side and the reception side due to the difference in transmission procedure. For example, regarding the line density of image data, the transmission procedure of 600 × 600 dpi is not standardized in FAX transmission, and some devices only support a coarse line density. At that time, in “Scan To Email”, image data that can be transmitted at 600 × 600 dpi needs to be automatically changed to a line density of 400 × 400 dpi or 200 × 200 dpi for transmission to a FAX transmission destination. When such an automatic change process occurs, it is necessary to record the fact as transmission history information.
An object of the present invention is to provide a digital multi-function peripheral that enables transmission and reception of a single image data via at least two types of communication means based on the restriction of linear density.

FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing a configuration example of an MFP (digital multifunction peripheral) according to the present invention.
The MFP applied to the present embodiment includes an
In the MFP configured as described above, each block is controlled by a firmware program stored in the
The MFP configured as described above also functions as a digital copy, a scanner, and a printer by using the
FIG. 2 shows an image in a state where management information of several transmission files is accumulated in the parameter memory in the MFP.
When sending a document, the destination FAX subscriber number (FAX number) and the destination IP address to be sent as mail can be set as the broadcast destination.
FIG. 3 shows an image of a report printed out in the second embodiment. On this report, the same information as that of the first embodiment for notifying that the linear density automatic change is performed is printed. This facilitates management and confirmation of the linear density.
FIG. 4 shows an example of an inquiry screen display to the user in the third embodiment. This is a screen for prompting the user to select whether or not to change the line density automatically after reading the document. If [OK] is pressed on this screen, the line density is automatically changed and fax transmission is performed. If [Cancel transmission] is pressed, transmission to the fax destination is canceled, and transmission is performed at 600 × 600 dpi only to the Scan To Email destination. Is called.
Thereby, it becomes possible to improve the responsiveness to the transmission condition to the user.
In FIG. 5, the example of the inquiry screen display to the user in Example 4 is shown. In the third embodiment, only OK or cancellation can be selected for the automatic change contents, but an image output option is added thereto. When image output is selected, document reading is first performed, and the image is stored in the image memory of FIG. Next, the image data is read from the image memory, and the data whose line density is changed (converted) is printed out by the plotter unit. Viewing the output image, the user can reselect the line density. Thereby, it becomes possible to further improve the correspondence to the transmission condition to the user.
FIG. 6 shows a screen display image in the fifth embodiment. In the present embodiment, the line density that can be handled as a device is clearly specified, and the reading line density and the handling of the line density in “FAX transmission” or “Scan To Email” can be selected depending on the content. In FIG. 6, “600 × 600 dpi” is selected as the reading line density. In this case, it is understood that “FAX transmission” causes conversion to “400 × 400 dpi”, and the user performs “FAX transmission”. Have chosen not to. This makes it easy for the user to prevent transmission under transmission conditions that they do not want.
FIG. 7 shows a screen display image in the sixth embodiment. Here, the line density that cannot be handled by each of “FAX transmission” and “Scan To Email” is clearly indicated so that only the reading line density can be selected. As a result, even if the user is not particularly conscious of the selection of the communication circuit, transmission can be performed under the desired transmission conditions.
