Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a wireless communication apparatus that wirelessly communicates voice data and non-voice data, and more particularly to a wireless communication apparatus that communicates voice data and non-voice data in the same slot.
For example, a time division multiplexing digital wireless communication system that is currently in practical use is composed of a base station apparatus and a plurality of mobile station apparatuses existing in the communication area of the base station apparatus. Communication is performed on the radio channel between the mobile station apparatus and the base station apparatus or between the mobile station apparatus and the mobile station apparatus. This radio channel is composed of two types, a control channel and a communication channel, depending on the type of slot to be configured. The control channel is a radio channel composed of commonly used slots, and is used, for example, for transmission of control information for notifying which communication channel slot is allocated in response to a connection request from a plurality of mobile station apparatuses. Channel. The communication channel is a radio channel composed of individual allocation slots.
7A and 7B show an example of allocation of data stored in a traffic channel (TCH) that constitutes a communication channel.
The bit rate of data stored in the TCH in this example is 6.4 kbps.
As shown in FIG. 7A, voice codec data obtained by digitally converting voice is stored in the TCH. In this example, ELCELP, which is a commonly used voice codec method, is used. In this case, out of 6.4 kbps of TCH, 3.2 kbps is used for voice data communication, and the remaining 3. Data for error correction (error correction data) is communicated using 2 kbps.
As shown in FIG. 7B, the non-voice data is stored in the TCH. In this example, at the time of non-voice data communication, non-voice data is allocated to all 6.4 kbps of TCH for communication.
The identification of whether the data in the TCH is voice data or non-voice data is performed by the transmission side adding an identification code in the low-speed associated control channel (SACCH) that constitutes the communication channel, and the reception side corresponding to the identification code. This is performed by controlling a function unit (data selection unit) that recognizes the data and selects data.
However, the wireless communication apparatus that performs data communication as shown in the above-described conventional example has a problem that voice communication and non-voice data communication cannot be performed simultaneously. For example, non-voice data must be communicated after the voice call ends, or voice call must be made after the non-voice data communication ends, which is not convenient. .
The present invention has been made in view of such conventional circumstances. For example, voice communication and non-voice data communication can be performed simultaneously by communicating voice data and non-voice data in the same slot. It is an object of the present invention to provide a wireless communication device that can be used.

In addition, the number displayed in the block of each part represents the number of bits.
Next, FIGS. 5A and 5B show an example of allocation of data stored in a traffic channel (TCH) that constitutes a communication channel.
The bit rate of data stored in the TCH in this example is 6.4 kbps.
In this example, in order to communicate voice data and non-voice data simultaneously, for example, voice data and non-voice data are communicated in a time division manner in the same slot. In this case, in the mobile station apparatus 1 and the
As shown in FIG. 5A, voice codec data obtained by digitally converting voice is stored in the TCH. In this example, AMBE, which is an example of a voice codec system with a high compression rate, is used. In this case, out of 6.4 kbps of TCH, 2.4 kbps is used for voice data communication, and error correction is performed. 1.6 kbps is used for data (error correction data) communication. Then, it is possible to communicate non-voice data using the remaining 2.4 kbps. That is, it is possible to simultaneously communicate voice data and non-voice data using TCH. Note that only the audio codec data (only audio data) may be communicated by TCH.
As shown in FIG. 5B, the non-voice data is stored in the TCH. In this example, when only non-voice data is communicated, non-voice data is allocated to all 6.4 kbps of TCH for communication.
Further, whether the data in the TCH is voice data, non-voice data, or a mixture of voice data and non-voice data is identified by low-speed accompanying control in which the transmission side forms a communication channel. This is performed by adding an identification code in the channel (SACCH) and controlling the function unit (data selection unit 35) that the receiving side recognizes the identification code and selects data. Here, the identification code added by the transmission side indicates the type of data included in the TCH (in this example, voice data, non-voice data, or a mixture thereof).
In addition, in the device on the transmission side of audio data and non-audio data, only audio data is transmitted, or only non-audio data is transmitted, or both audio data and non-audio data are transmitted in the same slot. For example, the transmission may be switched according to a human operation, or only audio data is transmitted when only audio data is input, and non-audio data is input when only non-audio data is input. May be switched according to the input status such as the input level of each data, such as transmitting both data when both data are input.

Even when it is necessary to make a voice call in an emergency or the like during communication, voice data and non-voice data can be communicated simultaneously. Also, for example, even when voice data and non-voice data are communicated in real time, both data reproduced in real time on the receiving side by communicating both of these data in parallel in the same slot The real-time property can be improved.
