Claims (11)
- ソフト・ハンドオフ処理において用いられる無線チャネルのアクティブ・セットを管理する方法であって、
この方法は適応アンテナを有するリモートユニットで実行され、
アクティブ・セットのメンバの初期リストを決定する工程と、
適応アンテナの動作状態を変更させる工程と、
変更させた適応アンテナの動作状態で前記アクティブ・セットを再選考する工程とを備えたアクティブ・セット管理方法。 - 請求項1において、前記適応アンテナが指向性アンテナ・アレイであるアクティブ・セット管理方法。
- 請求項2において、前記適応アンテナがフェーズド・アレイであるアクティブ・セット管理方法。
- 請求項3において、前記適応アンテナが複数の受信機および複数の信号合成器を用いるアクティブ・セット管理方法。
- 請求項1において、さらに、
前記アクティブ・セットのメンバを選択するように信頼性パラメータを決定する工程と、
前記信頼性パラメータのうちの選択された1つを信頼できるコネクションを維持するのに十分であるとして指定する工程と、
アクティブ・セットの2つ以上のメンバが信頼できるコネクションであると判断されると、前記適応アンテナの動作状態を変更して受信する無線チャネル信号の数を減らす工程とを備えたアクティブ・セット管理方法。 - 請求項5において、前記信頼性の指標が、受信信号強度表示、相関電力、および信号対雑音比の測定値からなるグループから選択されるアクティブ・セット管理方法。
- 請求項1において、前記アクティブ・セットのメンバの数が所望の数よりも少ない場合に、さらに、
アクティブ・セットのメンバとなる可能性のある追加の無線信号を捉えるように前記アンテナ状態を調整する工程と、
前記アクティブ・セットのメンバを再選考する工程とを備えたアクティブ・セット管理方法。 - 請求項1において、前記アクティブ・セットのメンバが信頼できない場合に、さらに、
前記適応アンテナに新しい設定を選択する工程と、
前記アクティブ・セットのメンバを再選考する工程とを備えたアクティブ・セット管理方法。 - 請求項1において、前記アクティブ・セットのメンバが信頼できないと考えられる場合に、さらに、
追加の無線信号が検出されるように前記アンテナを操向する工程を備えたアクティブ・セット管理方法。 - 請求項1において、さらに、
候補のパイロット・チャネル信号が信頼できないが十分な品質であると判断された場合に、少なくとも1つの無線信号を受信するための基準が満足されないように新しいアンテナ動作状態を周期的に選択する工程を備えたアクティブ・セット管理方法。 - 請求項1において、アクティブ・セットのメンバがパイロット・チャネル信号であるアクティブ・セット管理方法。
