Description

The present invention relates to a chain stitch sewing machine capable of forming an empty ring.

Used for sewing around the sleeves and hems of clothes, during sewing, a plurality of fabrics are fed continuously at intervals, and a chain stitch is carried out while forming an empty ring between the fabrics. Sewing machines are known. The empty ring formed between the fabrics is entangled with the sewing thread without any fabric, making it easy to grasp the sewing state, and the empty ring is used as a barometer to check the sewing state of the fabric (For example, refer to Patent Document 1).
By the way, when the empty ring is sandwiched between the needle plate and the presser plate of the sewing machine, a large force may act on the sewing thread itself, and it may be torn. For example, in the case of a decorative sewing machine, as shown in FIG. 6, there are mainly two modes of tearing of the empty ring 500, one is the tearing of the central empty ring, and the other is the left and right empty rings. This is a ring break.
As shown in FIG. 7, the central empty ring breaks when a concentrated force is applied to the pinched thread T <b> 1 due to contact between the center crosspiece 610 on the upper surface of the needle plate 600 and the bottom surface of the presser plate 620. Caused by. Further, as shown in FIG. 8, the rupture of the left and right vacant rings occurs when a concentrated force is applied to the pinched thread T <b> 2 due to contact between the tip of the feed dog 700 and the bottom surface of the pressing plate 620.
Such tearing of the empty ring 500 is likely to occur with a thread that does not stretch, and is easily affected by the finished surface roughness and flatness of the upper surface of the needle plate and the bottom surface of the presser.
JP 2001-187292 A

However, since there is no fabric on the throat plate when the empty ring is formed, the thread is directly pinched by the presser and the throat plate or feed dog, and the impact when the thread is pinched cannot be mitigated by the fabric. It was difficult to prevent the rupture of the vacant ring.

Then, an object of this invention is to provide the chain stitch sewing machine which can prevent a tear of an empty ring.

In order to solve the above-described problems, the invention described in claim 1 is a needle up-and-down movement in which a plurality of upper threads are inserted through the respective needles and a plurality of sewing needles arranged in a direction crossing the cloth feeding direction are moved up and down. A mechanism, a spreader mechanism that entangles a plurality of upper threads, a needle plate on which a sewing product to be used for sewing is placed and forms a feed dog hole and a crosspiece, and a lower portion of the needle plate A looper mechanism that interlaces the lower thread with the threaded upper thread, a pressing plate that presses the sewing product, a pressing mechanism that urges the pressing plate against the needle plate from above, and an upper surface of the needle plate A feed mechanism having a feed dog for projecting and retracting the tip thereof, and feeding a sewing product and an empty ring on the throat plate, and forming a seam stitch and an empty ring on the sewing product by cooperation of each mechanism In the chain stitch sewing machine, the presser plate has at least a needle drop position of the needle plate. Square with facing the crosspiece of, characterized in that a groove having a thickness more than the width of the upper yarn of at least one.

According to the first aspect of the present invention, the sewing product placed on the needle plate is conveyed in the cloth feeding direction in a state of being sandwiched between the feed dog and the presser plate biased by the presser mechanism. In this conveyance process, the sewing needle into which the upper thread is inserted moves up and down by the needle up-and-down moving mechanism, and the transition thread is entangled with the upper thread by the spreader mechanism. When the tip of the sewing needle moves below the needle plate, the looper mechanism entangles the lower thread with the upper thread. As a result, the sewing product is subjected to chain stitching, and an empty ring is formed between the sewing products. The sewn product and the empty ring that have been sewn are conveyed in the cloth feed direction by the feed dog of the feed mechanism.
When the sewing product and the empty ring are conveyed, the upper thread is sandwiched between the cross section of the needle plate and the lower surface of the presser plate. Here, when the sewn product is pinched, the fabric constituting the sewn product functions as a cushion that absorbs the impact when pinched, so the upper thread will not tear, but the empty ring will be pinched. In this case, the upper thread is directly sandwiched between the crosspiece of the needle plate and the lower surface of the presser plate.
However, since the holding plate is formed with a groove that faces at least the crosspiece behind the needle drop position of the needle plate and has a width equal to or larger than the thickness of at least one upper thread, There is no contact with the crosspiece of the board. Thereby, since an empty ring does not receive the impact by the contact of the crosspiece of a needle plate, and the lower surface of a presser plate, the tearing of an empty ring can be prevented.

According to a second aspect of the present invention, there is provided a needle up-and-down moving mechanism for moving up and down a plurality of sewing needles arranged in a direction intersecting with the cloth feed direction through which a plurality of upper threads are inserted, and the plurality of upper threads A spreader mechanism for entanglement of the cross thread, a needle plate on which a sewing product to be used for sewing is placed, forming a feed dog hole and a crosspiece, and a lower thread on an upper thread penetrated below the needle plate A looper mechanism for entanglement, a pressing plate that presses the sewing product, a pressing mechanism that urges the pressing plate against the needle plate from above, and a feed dog that causes the tip of the needle plate to protrude and retract. A feed mechanism that conveys the sewing product and the empty ring on the needle plate, and the needle in the chain stitch sewing machine that forms the chain stitch seam and the empty ring to the sewing product by the cooperation of each mechanism. The portion that comes into contact with the holding plate in the crosspiece behind the needle drop position of the plate is the needle plate Characterized in that the lower than the upper surface of the part.

According to the second aspect of the present invention, as in the case of the first aspect, the sewing product is subjected to the ring stitching, and the empty ring is formed between the sewing products.
However, since the portion of the crosspiece that is behind the needle drop position of the needle plate that is in contact with the pressing plate is lower than the upper surface of the needle plate base, the lowered portion of the needle plate does not contact the pressing plate. As a result, the empty ring is not subjected to an impact due to contact between the lowered needle plate portion and the lower surface of the presser plate, so that the empty ring can be prevented from being broken.

According to a third aspect of the present invention, there is provided a needle up-and-down moving mechanism for moving up and down a plurality of sewing needles arranged in a direction intersecting the cloth feed direction with a plurality of upper threads inserted therethrough, and the plurality of upper threads A spreader mechanism that entangles the cross thread, a needle plate on which a sewing product to be used for sewing is placed and forms a feed dog hole and a crosspiece, and an upper thread that penetrates below the needle plate and a lower thread A looper mechanism that entangles the needle plate, a feed dog that causes the tip of the needle plate to protrude and retract on the upper surface of the needle plate, a feed mechanism that conveys a sewing product and an empty ring on the needle plate, and a lower surface of the plurality of sewing needles. A presser provided with a pair of auxiliary presser members that are elastically moved up and down in accordance with the tip of the feed dog that protrudes and protrudes from the needle drop position of the sewing needles at both ends, and that extends in the cloth feed direction. And a pressing mechanism that biases the pressing plate against the needle plate from above. In the chain stitch sewing machine that forms a seam stitch and an empty ring with the cooperation of each mechanism, when the feed dog protrudes most from the upper surface of the throat plate, the auxiliary pressing member is disposed on the lower surface of the pressing plate. It is characterized by projecting downward from.

According to the third aspect of the invention, as in the case of the first aspect, the sewn product is ring-sewn and an empty ring is formed between the sewn items. The sewn product and the empty ring that have been sewn are conveyed in the cloth feed direction by the feed dog of the feed mechanism.
When the sewing product and the empty ring are conveyed, the upper thread is sandwiched between the feed dog and the lower surface of the holding plate. Here, when the sewn product is pinched, the fabric constituting the sewn product functions as a cushion that absorbs the impact when pinched, so the upper thread will not tear, but the empty ring will be pinched. In this case, the upper thread is directly sandwiched between the upper end of the feed dog and the lower surface of the holding plate.
However, when the feed dog protrudes most from the upper surface of the needle plate, that is, when the feed dog and the auxiliary pressing member abut, the auxiliary pressing member protrudes downward from the lower surface of the pressing plate. An appropriate gap is formed between the lower surface and the upper end of the feed dog, and the lower surface of the holding plate and the upper end of the feed dog do not contact each other. Thereby, since an empty ring does not receive the impact by the contact of the lower surface of a pressing plate and the upper end of a feed dog, a tear of an empty ring can be prevented.

According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, in the chain stitch sewing machine according to the third aspect of the present invention, there is provided adjusting means for adjusting a protruding amount of the auxiliary pressing member from the lower surface of the pressing plate.

According to the fourth aspect of the present invention, the amount of protrusion of the auxiliary pressing member from the lower surface of the pressing plate can be adjusted by providing the adjusting means.
Thereby, it can apply also to every empty ring by adjusting the protrusion amount from the lower surface of the pressing plate of the auxiliary pressing member by the adjusting means, even for sewing with different thread thicknesses.

According to the first aspect of the present invention, the pressing plate is formed with a groove having at least a width equal to or greater than the thickness of the upper thread while facing the crosspiece portion at the rear of the needle drop position of the needle plate. Therefore, the groove portion does not come into contact with the crosspiece of the needle plate. Thereby, since an empty ring does not receive the impact by the contact of the crosspiece of a needle plate, and the lower surface of a presser plate, the tearing of an empty ring can be prevented.

According to the second aspect of the present invention, the portion of the crosspiece that is in contact with the presser plate at the rear of the needle plate lower than the upper surface of the needle plate base is lower than the upper surface of the needle plate base, so that the lowered needle plate portion is the presser plate. There is no contact with. As a result, the empty ring is not subjected to an impact due to contact between the lowered needle plate portion and the lower surface of the presser plate, so that the empty ring can be prevented from being broken.

According to the invention described in claim 3, when the feed dog protrudes most from the upper surface of the needle plate, that is, when the feed dog contacts the auxiliary presser member, the auxiliary presser member protrudes downward from the lower surface of the presser plate. Thus, an appropriate gap is formed between the lower surface of the press plate and the upper end of the feed dog, and the lower surface of the press plate and the upper end of the feed dog do not contact each other. Thereby, since an empty ring does not receive the impact by the contact of the lower surface of a pressing plate and the upper end of a feed dog, a tear of an empty ring can be prevented.

Hereinafter, the best mode of a chain stitch sewing machine according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
(Looper mechanism)
As shown in FIG. 1, the looper mechanism is provided in a loop of each upper thread T formed by raising each sewing needle 21, 22, 23 through the sewing product C to the lower side of the needle plate 11 and then rising again. A looper 25 to be inserted, a lower shaft (not shown) that is arranged along the Y-axis direction in the sewing machine bed portion 2a and that rotates in synchronization with the main spindle of the sewing machine, and a Y-axis direction inside the sewing machine bed portion 2a. A looper shaft 27 that holds the looper 25 at its tip, and a well-known transmission mechanism (not shown) that converts the rotational driving force of the lower shaft into a reciprocating driving force in the thrust direction of the same frequency and applies it to the looper shaft 27. I have.
The looper 25 extends along the Y-axis direction coinciding with the arrangement direction of the sewing needles 21, 22, and 23, and its tip is on the tip side of the machine bed portion 2a (opposite to the machine vertical body 2b). The looper shaft 27 is held at the front end portion thereof. Then, by the forward movement by the looper shaft 27, the sewing needles 22 and 21 are inserted in the order of the sewing needle 22 and the sewing needle 21 in the order from the nearest sewing needle 23. Thereby, the lower thread L guided to the tip part along the looper 25 is inserted into the loop of each upper thread T, and sewing is performed.

(Spreader mechanism)
As shown in FIG. 1, the spreader mechanism is stretched so that the transition yarn guide 28 hangs down and adjoins the needle bar 24 at the lower end of the sewing machine arm portion 2 c and the transition yarn S is folded at the distal end. A known transmission mechanism (not shown) that converts the rotational driving force of the spreader 26 and the main spindle of the sewing machine into a reciprocating oscillation driving force centered on the Z-axis direction of the same frequency and applied to the base of the spreader 26 along the Z-axis direction. And.
The transition yarn guide 28 has a threading hole on the elongated hole formed at the lower end thereof, and the transition yarn S is passed through the threading hole from above and is further guided to the spreader 26 therefrom. .

The distal end portion of the spreader 26 is slightly curved in an arc shape, and the distal end portion moves back and forth generally along the Y-axis direction by reciprocatingly swinging around the proximal end portion. The spreader 26 guides the inner region of the folded shape of the crossover thread S so as to be the needle drop positions of the sewing needles 21, 22, and 23 by advancing the tip part along the Y-axis direction. By moving backward after falling, the transition thread S is stretched along the direction in which the sewing needles 21, 22, and 23 are arranged. The spreader 26 is sewn in a sawtooth shape by the respective sewing needles 21, 22, 23 on the upper surface of the sewing product C by performing the above-described forward / backward movement in accordance with the vertical movement cycle of the respective sewing needles 21, 22, 23.

(Thread tension mechanism)
As shown in FIG. 1, the thread tension mechanism 30 is arranged on the side surface of the sewing machine longitudinal body 2b, and is individually provided for the upper thread T, the transition thread S, and the lower thread L of the sewing needles 21, 22, and 23. Corresponding five thread tensions 31 to 35 are provided. Each of the thread tensions 31 to 35 includes a pair of thread tension dishes for holding the thread, an elastic body that presses the thread tension dishes together, and a knob that adjusts the pressure contact force of the elastic body. With this configuration, each thread tension is adjusted to an appropriate pressure contact force with a knob, and a resistance force is applied in the feeding direction by pinching each thread to generate an appropriate tension in each thread.

The lower thread L is unwound from a thread supply source (not shown), is stretched over the thread tension 35, and is guided to the looper 25 through the inside of the sewing machine bed portion 2a.
The transition yarn S is unwound from a yarn supply source (not shown), passed over the thread tension 34, and then the sewing machine arm portion 2c by a lower yarn guide 36 provided at the lower portion on the base end side of the sewing machine arm portion 2c. Is further guided to the front end of the spreader 26 via a lower thread tension 37 provided on the side surface of the front end of the sewing machine arm 2c and a lower thread guide (not shown).

(Thread lubrication means, first thread guide mechanism, etc.)
As shown in FIG. 1, the thread lubrication means 41 is provided on the side surface of the base end of the sewing machine arm portion 2c, and supplies the lubricating oil to each upper thread T that has passed through the thread tension mechanism 30. It has become.
The first yarn guide mechanism is provided on the side surface of the sewing machine arm portion 2c and on the downstream side of the yarn lubrication means 41, and includes three first yarn guides 42 corresponding to each upper yarn T individually. Yes.
The first yarn guides 42 are all rod-shaped and supported so that the longitudinal direction thereof is along the Z-axis direction. Further, the first thread guide 42 is formed so that a threading hole is formed at the upper end thereof, and the first thread guide 42 can be fixed by a set screw (not shown) by adjusting the movement in the vertical direction. Further, the three first yarn guides 42 are arranged side by side along the X-axis direction, whereby the three upper yarns T are arranged substantially along the X-axis direction and the tip of the sewing machine arm portion 2c. It will be in a state where it is stretched to the part.

The second thread guide 43 is disposed at the lower side of the side surface of the distal end portion of the sewing machine arm portion 2c. The second thread guide 43 is provided with three threading holes through which the three upper threads T are individually passed. The three threading holes of the second thread guide 43 are formed side by side along the Y-axis direction, corresponding to the direction in which the sewing needles 21, 22, and 23 are aligned. The upper thread T passed through the threading holes of the second thread guide 43 is guided to the sewing needles 21, 22, and 23.

(First balance mechanism)
As shown in FIG. 1, the first balance mechanism is disposed on the side surface of the sewing machine arm portion 2 c and between the first yarn guide 42 and the second yarn guide 43. The first balance mechanism includes a swinging balance 51 that swings up and down a tip portion having three threading holes through which the upper threads T are individually passed, and a base end portion of the swinging balance 51 as X. A well-known transmission mechanism (not shown) is provided which is supported around the shaft and converts the rotational driving force of the sewing machine main shaft into a reciprocating swing driving force around the X axis and applied to the swing balance 51.

The swing balance 51 has three threading holes formed in the distal end portion thereof in the X-axis direction, and the transmission mechanism that pivotally supports the proximal end portion imparts a swing driving force around the X-axis. The part moves up and down while drawing an arc trajectory. The swing range of the tip portion of the swing balance 51 can be adjusted by a transmission mechanism, and is adjusted so that the tip portion of the swing balance 51 swings substantially along the Z-axis direction. As a result, the tip of the swing balance 51 is adjusted so that the top dead center position and the bottom dead center position are constant.

The swing balance 51 is disposed between the first thread guide 42 and the second thread guide 43 of the thread guide mechanism, and each upper thread T is threaded through the first thread guide 42, respectively. Then, the thread is passed through the threading hole of the swing balance 51 so as to reach the threading hole of the second thread guide 43.
Then, when the tip of the swing balance 51 is at the bottom dead center position, the thread guide is connected from each threading hole position of the first thread guide 42 to the threading hole position of the second thread guide 43. It is located above the straight line, and at the top dead center position, the position is further away from the straight line connecting the first yarn guide 42 and the second yarn guide 43.
Accordingly, when the tip of the swinging balance 51 moves to the top dead center, the length of the yarn path from the first yarn guide 42 to the second yarn guide 43 becomes maximum, and each upper yarn T is supplied from the yarn supply source. The yarn is unwound and the yarn is pulled up from the fabric side.

(Second balance mechanism)
As shown in FIG. 1, the second balance mechanism is disposed on the upper surface of the distal end portion of the sewing machine arm portion 2 c. The second balance mechanism includes a lifting / lowering balance 52 that vertically swings an upper end portion having three threading holes through which the upper threads T are individually passed, and a rotational driving force of the sewing machine spindle in the Z-axis direction. And a well-known transmission mechanism (not shown) that is converted into a vertical driving force and applied to the swing balance 51.

The lifting / lowering balance 52 has three threading holes formed in the distal end portion thereof in the X-axis direction, and the distal end portion is disposed above the second thread guide 43. Then, each upper thread T is hung from the first thread guide 42 of the thread guide mechanism to the second thread guide 43 via the lifting / lowering balance 52, or swings from the first thread guide 42 of the thread guide mechanism. Each upper thread T is wound around the second thread guide 43 via the balance 51 and the lifting / lowering scale 52.
In this way, when the upper / lower balance 52 is moved to the top dead center in the state where each upper thread T is stretched, the thread path length from the first thread guide 42 to the second thread guide 43 becomes the maximum, For the upper thread T, the thread is fed from the thread supply source and the thread is pulled up from the fabric side.
The first balance mechanism and the second balance mechanism may be used alone or in combination with each other. In FIG. 1, the first balance mechanism is used alone. Indicates the state.

(Holding mechanism)
As shown in FIG. 2, the presser mechanism includes a presser body 60 connected to the sewing machine arm portion 2 c, a presser plate 61 that is provided on the lower surface of the presser main body 60 and presses the sewing product C from above, and a presser plate 61. And an auxiliary pressing plate 62 as an auxiliary pressing member provided on both side edges.
The presser plate 61 is formed with a groove 63 that faces the crosspiece 14 at the rear of the needle drop hole 13 of the needle plate 11 and has a width equal to or greater than the thickness of the upper thread T. The groove 63 is formed along the front-rear direction of the pressing plate 61, in other words, along the cloth feeding direction A. Further, if the depth of the groove 63 is extremely deep, the air ring R cannot be clamped between the presser plate 61 and the needle plate 11, so that the air ring R is appropriately held between the presser plate 61 and the needle plate 11 by friction. It is desirable that the depth be as large as possible. Further, the presser plate 61 is biased toward the needle plate 11 by an elastic member such as a coil spring, so that the sewing product C can be securely held between the presser plate 11 and the needle plate 11.
The auxiliary pressing plate 62 is formed in a plate shape, and the tip end portion (upstream side in the cloth feeding direction A) is curved upward. The auxiliary pressing plate 62 is urged toward the needle plate 11 by the spring member 64. Thus, when the sewing product C is conveyed from the tip of the auxiliary pressing plate 62, the spring member 64 slightly rises against the biasing force of the spring member 64, but the restoring force of the spring member 64 is always the needle. Since it acts on the plate 11 side, the sewing product C can be securely held between the needle plate 11 and the auxiliary presser plate 62.

(Feeding mechanism)
As shown in FIG. 2, the feed mechanism is provided with a feed dog 70 that causes the tip of the needle plate 11 to protrude and retract.
The feed dog 70 is formed in a sawtooth shape at the upper end, is inclined upward as it goes in the cloth feed direction A, and is suspended downward at a predetermined height position. Thereby, the sewing product C is smoothly conveyed in the cloth feeding direction A along the inclination of the upper end of the feed dog 70, and the upper end of the feed dog 70 is not caught by the sewing product C and the conveyance is not hindered. Moreover, since the front-end | tip part of the feed dog 70 clamps the sewing product C with the pressing plate 61, it can convey reliably.

<Description of the operation of the chain stitch sewing machine>
Hereinafter, the operation of the chain stitch sewing machine 100 having the above-described configuration will be described.
First, each sewing needle 21, 22, 23 descends and is pierced by the sewing product C on the throat plate 11, and when it starts to rise from the bottom dead center, each upper thread T forms a loop and advances to each loop. The looper 25 is inserted. Further, the spreader 26 also advances, and a triangular region is formed at the next needle drop position of each sewing needle 21, 22, 23 by folding the tip of the crossover thread S. When the sewing needles 21, 22, 23 that have reached the top dead center are lowered again, the sewing needle 21 is inserted into the triangular area of the transition thread S, and the transition thread S is sewn into each upper thread T.
In addition, the loop of the looper thread L is formed by the retraction of the looper 25, and the respective sewing needles 21 that are lowered are inserted into the loop. By repeating these, the stitches of the three sewing threads T are formed along the cloth feeding direction, and the decorative stitches for sewing the upper decorative thread S and the looper thread L on the upper and lower portions of the fabric are respectively performed. Done.

<Effect of Embodiment 1>
According to the chain stitch sewing machine 100 according to the first embodiment, the sewing product C placed on the needle plate 11 is fed between the feed dog 70 and the presser plate 61 biased to the needle plate 11 side. Transported in direction A. In this conveying process, the sewing needles 21, 22 and 23 into which the upper thread T is inserted are moved up and down by the crank mechanism, and the transition thread S is entangled with the upper thread T by the spreader 26. Further, when the tips of the sewing needles 21, 22, and 23 are moved below the needle plate 11, the looper 25 entangles the lower thread L with the upper thread T. Further, by transporting the sewn product C at intervals, the sewn product C is subjected to chain stitching, and an empty ring R is formed between the sewn products C. The sewing product C and the empty ring R that have been sewn are conveyed in the cloth feeding direction A by the feed dog 70.
When the sewing product C and the empty ring R are conveyed, the upper thread T is sandwiched between the crosspiece 14 of the needle plate 11 and the lower surface of the presser plate 61. Here, when the sewn product C is sandwiched, the fabric constituting the sewn product C functions as a cushion that absorbs the impact when the sewn product C is sandwiched, so that the upper thread T will not tear, When R is pinched, the upper thread T is directly pinched by the crosspiece 14 of the needle plate 11 and the lower surface of the presser plate 61.
However, the presser plate 61 is formed with a groove 63 that is opposed to at least the crosspiece 14 at the rear of the needle drop hole 13 of the needle plate 11 and has a width equal to or greater than the thickness of at least one upper thread T. The portion of the groove 63 does not come into contact with the crosspiece 14 of the needle plate 11. Thereby, since the empty ring R does not receive the impact by the contact of the crosspiece 14 of the needle plate 11 and the lower surface of the pressing plate 61, the empty ring R can be prevented from being broken.
The formation of the groove 63 is particularly effective in preventing the tearing of the empty ring R formed by the sewing needle 22.

[Embodiment 2]
Next, a chain stitch sewing machine 200 (the entire configuration is shown in FIG. 1) according to the second embodiment of the present invention will be described. Since the chain stitch sewing machine 200 according to the second embodiment is different from the chain stitch sewing machine 100 according to the first embodiment in the needle plate, the other parts are denoted by the same reference numerals and description thereof is omitted.

<Configuration of chain stitch sewing machine>
(Needle plate)
As shown in FIG. 3, the needle plate 16 is formed with a feed dog hole 17 through which the upper part of the feed dog 70 is inserted and a needle drop hole 18 through which the sewing needles 21, 22, 23 are inserted. Two feed dog holes 17 are formed along the direction in which the sewing needles 21, 22, 23 are arranged, and three needle drop holes 18 are formed along the direction in which the sewing needles 21, 22, 23 are arranged. The other part is a crosspiece 19.
Of the crosspiece 19, the portion of the crosspiece 19 behind the needle drop hole 18 that makes contact with the holding plate 61, specifically, the contact area 19 a between the feed dog holes 17 and the feed dog hole 17. The contact area 19b between the needle drop hole 18 and the needle drop hole 18 is formed such that the upper surface thereof is lower than the needle plate base, that is, the upper surface of the needle plate 16 other than the contact areas 19a and 19b.
By forming the contact areas 19 a and 19 b lower than the upper surface of the surrounding needle plate 16, the contact areas 19 a and 19 b do not contact the pressing plate 61. Therefore, it is not necessary to form the groove 63 on the lower surface of the pressing plate 61 as in the first embodiment, and it is a flat surface.

<Effects of Second Embodiment>
According to the chain stitch sewing machine 200 in the second embodiment, the sewing product C placed on the throat plate 16 is fed in a state where it is sandwiched between the feed dog 70 and the presser plate 61 biased toward the throat plate 16 side. Transported in direction A. In this conveying process, the sewing needles 21, 22 and 23 into which the upper thread T is inserted are moved up and down by the crank mechanism, and the transition thread S is entangled with the upper thread T by the spreader 26. Further, when the tips of the sewing needles 21, 22 and 23 move below the needle plate 16, the looper 25 entangles the lower thread L with the upper thread T. Further, by transporting the plurality of sewn products C at intervals, the sewn product C is subjected to chain stitching, and an empty ring R is formed between the sewn products C. The sewing product C and the empty ring R that have been sewn are conveyed in the cloth feeding direction A by the feed dog 70.
When the sewing product C and the empty ring R are conveyed, the upper thread T is sandwiched between the crosspiece 19 of the needle plate 16 and the lower surface of the presser plate 61. Here, when the sewn product C is sandwiched, the fabric constituting the sewn product C functions as a cushion that absorbs the impact when the sewn product C is sandwiched, so that the upper thread T will not tear, When R is pinched, the upper thread T is directly pinched by the crosspiece 19 of the needle plate 16 and the lower surface of the presser plate 61.
However, since the upper surfaces of the contact regions 19a and 19b that contact the presser plate 61 in the crosspiece 19 behind the needle drop hole 18 of the needle plate 16 are lower than the upper surface of the needle plate 16, the lower contact regions 19a and 19b, 19b does not contact the pressing plate 61. Thereby, since the empty ring R does not receive the impact by contact of the contact areas 19a and 19b having the lower upper surface and the lower surface of the pressing plate 61, the empty ring R can be prevented from being broken.
The contact areas 19 a and 19 b are formed lower than the upper surfaces of the other crosspieces 19, and this is particularly effective in preventing tearing of the empty ring R formed by the sewing needle 22.

[Embodiment 3]
Next, a chain stitch sewing machine 300 according to a third embodiment of the present invention (the entire configuration is shown in FIG. 1) will be described. The point that the chain stitch sewing machine 300 in the third embodiment is different from the chain stitch sewing machine 100 in the first embodiment is the auxiliary presser plate, and the other parts are denoted by the same reference numerals and the description thereof is omitted.

<Configuration of chain stitch sewing machine>
(Auxiliary presser plate)
As shown in FIG. 4, a pair of auxiliary pressing plates 62 correspond to the tooth tip of the feed dog 70 that protrudes and protrudes from the upper surface of the needle plate 11 on both sides of the empty ring forming position (sewing opening forming position). The tip (upstream side in the cloth feeding direction A) is curved upward and formed in a plate shape. The auxiliary presser plate 62 is biased toward the needle plate 11 with respect to the presser main body 60 by a spring member 64 as an elastic member, and protrudes downward from the lower surface of the presser main body 60 along the groove 60 a of the presser main body 60. The feed dog 70 moves up and down with respect to the bottom surface of the presser body 60 in accordance with the protrusions and depressions with respect to the top surface of the needle plate 11.

In the groove 60 a of the presser main body 60, the auxiliary presser plate 62 is arranged so as to prevent the feed dog 70 from coming into contact with the presser plate 61 when the empty ring R is sandwiched between the presser plate 61 and the feed dog 70. A stopper 68 that restricts excessive sinking into the groove 60a is provided. The stopper 68 prevents the auxiliary presser plate 62 from sinking into the groove 60a when the feed dog 70 protrudes most from the upper surface of the needle plate 11 when the sewing product C is conveyed. The amount of sinking with respect to the lower surface of the main body 60 is restricted so that the feed dog 70 does not come into contact with the lower surface of the presser plate 61, and a feed force can be applied to the empty ring R by the lower surface of the presser plate 61 and the feed dog 70. The auxiliary pressing plate 62 is formed so as to protrude downward from the lower surface of the pressing body 60 to the extent. By providing the stopper 68, the feed dog 70 contacts the auxiliary press plate 62 before contacting the press plate 61, and the approach to the press plate 61 is obstructed. An appropriate gap capable of sending the empty ring R is formed between the two portions.

<Effect of Embodiment 3>
According to the chain stitch sewing machine 300 in the third embodiment, the sewing product C placed on the throat plate 11 is fed between the feed dog 70 and the presser plate 61 urged toward the throat plate 11 side. Further, by transporting a plurality of sewing products C at intervals, the sewing product C is subjected to chain stitching, and an empty ring R is formed between the sewing products C. The sewing product C and the empty ring R that have been sewn are conveyed in the cloth feeding direction A by the feed dog 70.
When the sewing product C and the empty ring R are conveyed, the upper thread T is sandwiched between the feed dog 70 and the lower surface of the presser plate 61. Here, when the sewn product C is sandwiched, the fabric constituting the sewn product C functions as a cushion that absorbs the impact when the sewn product C is sandwiched, so that the upper thread T will not tear, When R is sandwiched, the upper thread T is directly sandwiched between the upper end of the feed dog 70 and the lower surface of the presser plate 61.
However, when the feed dog 70 protrudes most from the upper surface of the needle plate 11, that is, when the feed dog 70 and the auxiliary presser plate 62 come into contact, the auxiliary presser plate 62 protrudes somewhat downward from the lower surface of the presser plate 61. Therefore, an appropriate gap is formed between the lower surface of the presser plate 61 and the upper end of the feed dog 70, and the lower surface of the presser plate 61 and the upper end of the feed dog 70 do not come into contact with each other. Thereby, since the empty ring R does not receive the impact of excessive pressure due to the contact between the lower surface of the pressing plate 61 and the upper end of the feed dog 70, the empty ring R can be prevented from being broken.
It should be noted that providing the stopper 68 on the lower surface of the auxiliary presser plate 62 is particularly effective in preventing tearing of the empty ring R formed by the sewing needles 21 and 23.

The present invention is not limited to the above embodiment. For example, in the chain stitch sewing machine 300 according to the third embodiment, the holding force of the air ring R by the holding plate 61 and the feed dog 70 is too strong due to the protruding amount of the auxiliary holding plate 62 (the protruding amount is too small), Since R may be clogged (excessive protrusion amount), an adjusting means that can adjust the protrusion amount of the lower surface of the auxiliary pressing plate 62 relative to the lower surface of the pressing plate 61 may be provided. Specifically, instead of the stopper 68, the adjusting means forms a bolt hole penetrating to the upper surface of the auxiliary pressing plate 62 in the pressing body 60 as shown in FIG. 5, and the bolt 69 is screwed into the bolt hole. It is preferable that the ends of the bolts 69 come into contact with the upper surface of the auxiliary pressing plate 62. Then, by screwing the bolt 69 into the bolt hole, the tip of the bolt 69 presses the upper surface of the auxiliary pressing plate 62, and the amount of protrusion of the lower surface of the auxiliary pressing plate 62 relative to the lower surface of the pressing plate 61 can be adjusted. As a result, the present invention can be applied to any empty ring by adjusting the amount of protrusion of the auxiliary pressing plate 62 from the lower surface of the pressing plate 61 by the bolt 69 even for sewing with different thread thicknesses. Further, an appropriate pressure or feeding force can be applied to the empty ring R. In addition, the present invention can be freely changed and improved without departing from the gist of the invention.
