Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a light emitting device and an illuminating apparatus mainly intended for use in the lighting field, and more particularly to a light emitting device and an illuminating apparatus having improved luminous efficiency.
Conventionally, a light emitting diode element that emits light in a short wavelength region such as blue, and a fluorescent substance that is excited by absorbing part or all of the light emitted by this light emitting diode element and emits fluorescence such as yellow on the longer wavelength side A white light-emitting diode lamp using the above is generally known.
For example, a white light-emitting diode lamp composed of a compound semiconductor blue light-emitting diode element and a yttrium-aluminum-garnet-based fluorescent material activated by cerium that absorbs blue light and emits yellow fluorescence that is a complementary color of blue is disclosed in Patent Literature 1 (Japanese Patent No. 2927279).

Next, a conventional transmissive chip type white light
In this chip type white light
On one of the
A
On the
The
Further, the
According to Patent Document 2 or
In order to improve this, Patent Document 2 proposes a reflective white light-emitting diode lamp. However, although the technique disclosed in Patent Document 2 shows an improvement in light extraction efficiency, it has a structure in which the semiconductor light emitting diode element (LED chip) is arranged in the substantially central portion of the transparent resin above the recess, The fixing process of the semiconductor light emitting diode element is difficult and complicated, the gold thin wire is necessary for a very long time, and sufficient heat dissipation from the light emitting diode element cannot be secured. .
The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and a first object thereof is a blue / yellow mixed color type using a blue light emitting diode element as a primary light source and a blue excited yellow light emitting phosphor material as a wavelength conversion material. An object of the present invention is to provide a light emitting device that significantly improves light extraction efficiency by applying a reflective structure in a white light emitting diode lamp.

In order to solve the above problems, the present invention according to
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the light emitting device according to the first aspect, the reflecting member disposed in the light emitting direction of the light emitting element has a plate-like reflecting surface having white or metallic luster, and the light emitting device When the light emitting device is viewed from the light emitting direction, the light emitting element has an area that is sufficiently hidden by the reflecting member.

The gist of the present invention described in
According to the present invention, in a bullet-type or chip-type reflective white light-emitting diode lamp, the fixing process and the connecting process of the semiconductor light-emitting diode element are the same as the conventional process, a simple process, high reliability of element fixing, sufficient It is possible to realize a reflective fluorescent material mounting structure while maintaining a heat dissipating structure as usual. Thereby, variation in chromaticity can be reduced and luminous efficiency can be greatly improved.
Further, according to the present invention, since it is possible to realize a reflection type structure with a bullet-type or chip-type white light emitting diode lamp, which could not be achieved conventionally, the light extraction efficiency can be greatly improved.
Furthermore, by applying a bullet-type or chip-type reflective white light-emitting diode lamp as the light source of the illumination device, it is possible to significantly improve the light emission efficiency and to ensure high reliability as compared with the conventional case.
The best mode for carrying out the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view showing a configuration of a shell-type reflective white light-emitting diode lamp (light-emitting device) 1 according to the first embodiment of the present invention.
This bullet-type reflective white light-emitting diode lamp (hereinafter simply referred to as lamp 1) 1 includes at least two lead wires (electrode terminals) 2 and 3 and at least one lead among the lead wires 2 and 3. A blue light-emitting diode element (light-emitting element) 4 placed on the end of the wire 2 and electrically connected to the end and the other lead wire 3, and one of the light emitted from the blue light-emitting diode element 4 A fluorescent substance 11 that absorbs part or all of the light and emits light having a wavelength longer than that of this light as excitation light, and the outer periphery of the blue light-emitting diode element 4 containing the fluorescent substance 11 is surrounded by a mortar-shaped slope. The fluorescent material-dispersed
One of the features of the present invention is the mounting structure of the fluorescent material-dispersed
In the blue light-emitting diode element 4 used in the present embodiment, an indium gallium nitride semiconductor light-emitting
Further, when the blue light emitting diode element 4 is mounted on the lead wire 2, the
Another feature of the present invention is that a white reflecting
Furthermore, another feature is that a transparent resin that covers all of the fluorescent material-dispersed
In the present embodiment, the same epoxy resin is used for both the fluorescent substance dispersed
In the present embodiment, the shape of the
Next, a method for manufacturing the bullet-type reflective white light-emitting diode lamp (light-emitting device) 1 according to the first embodiment of the present invention will be described.
First, in a first step, a blue light-emitting diode element 4 having an emission peak wavelength of 460 nm is die-bonded using a conductive paste in a recess for mounting a light-emitting element provided on one of a pair of lead wires 2 and 3. .
Next, in the second step, a phosphor dispersed resin in which 70% by weight of yttrium, aluminum, and garnet phosphor powder activated with trivalent cerium is dispersed is applied so as to cover the side surface and the bottom surface of the recess. A fluorescent material-dispersed
In this
Next, after the fluorescent material-dispersed
Then, in the fourth step, the concave portion is filled with the
As for the diameter of the reflecting
In the fifth step, the blue light emitting diode element 4, the fluorescent material dispersed
Since the lead wires 2 and 3 are formed by integrally forming a pair of lead wires, the portion connecting the two lead wires 2 and 3 is cut off in the sixth step. The same epoxy resin was used for the fluorescent substance dispersed
The reflective white light-emitting
In the above production, the simple semiconductor light emitting diode element fixing process and connection process (die bonding process / wire bonding process) similar to the conventional shell-type white light emitting
Therefore, according to the present invention, by adopting a mortar-shaped reflection type as the mounting method of the fluorescent substance dispersion resin that is the wavelength conversion unit, the light extraction efficiency is greatly improved, and in the mounting method of the semiconductor light emitting diode element, It is possible to provide a novel structure that can provide the same simple process, high reliability, and sufficient heat dissipation as the conventional transmissive bullet-type white light emitting
Next, a chip-type reflective white light-emitting
FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view showing a configuration of a chip-type reflective white light-emitting diode lamp (light-emitting device) 21 according to the second embodiment of the present invention.
This chip-type reflective white light-emitting diode lamp (hereinafter simply referred to as “
In this
On one end of the
Further, a fluorescent material-dispersed
Also in the present embodiment, when the blue light emitting diode element 4 is mounted on the lead wire 22, the
Furthermore, the chip-
The manufacturing method of the chip-type reflective white light-emitting
Next, a white illumination device according to a third embodiment of the present invention will be described. FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of a white illumination device to which the reflective white light-emitting
The
The
The
Further, in the
In the first and second embodiments, an element having a structure in which one electrode is arranged on the upper side and one electrode on the lower side is used as the blue light emitting diode element. Alternatively, two electrodes may be provided. In this case, it is not necessary to use a conductive paste in the first step of the manufacturing process, and it is sufficient that the blue light emitting diode element 4 is appropriately fixed, and two wires are bonded in the second step. It will be. The present invention is not limited to the embodiments described above, and is excited by absorbing a short wavelength light emitting diode element and part or all of the light emission of the light emitting diode, and emits longer wavelength fluorescence. As long as it is a light emitting diode using a fluorescent material, it can be applied to any type of diode. Moreover, you may use light sources other than a light emitting diode.
