Abstract
Description
A rotational speed detection device and a load measuring device for a rolling bearing unit according to the present invention relate to an improvement of a rolling bearing unit for supporting wheels of a moving body such as an automobile, a railway vehicle, and various transport vehicles. Measures the rotational speed of the rotating member, and also the load (one or both of radial load and axial load) applied to this rolling bearing unit, and uses it to ensure the stability of the operation of the moving body. .
For example, an automobile wheel is rotatably supported by a double row angular rolling bearing unit with respect to a suspension device. In order to ensure the running stability of automobiles, vehicle running stabilizers such as an antilock brake system (ABS), a traction control system (TCS), and a vehicle stability control system (VSC) are used. . In order to control such various vehicle travel stabilizers, signals representing the rotational speed of the wheels, acceleration in each direction applied to the vehicle body, and the like are required. In order to perform higher-level control, it may be preferable to know the magnitude of a load (one or both of a radial load and an axial load) applied to the rolling bearing unit via the wheel.
In view of such circumstances,
A
In the case of the conventional rolling bearing unit with a load measuring device configured as described above, the load applied to the rolling bearing unit can be obtained based on the detection signal of the
In the conventional structure shown in FIG. 25, in addition to the load applied to the rolling bearing unit, the rotational speed of the
When the rolling bearing unit incorporating the rotational speed detection device as described above is used, the
The rolling bearing unit with a load measuring device of the first example of the conventional structure as described above is for measuring the radial load applied to the rolling bearing unit, but the structure for measuring the axial load applied to the rolling bearing unit is also, It is described in
Further, a
In the case of the load measuring device of the rolling bearing unit of the second example having such a conventional structure, when an axial load is applied between a wheel (not shown) and the
In the case of the first example of the conventional structure shown in FIG. 25 described above, the displacement applied to the rolling bearing unit is measured by measuring the displacement in the radial direction between the
In the case of the second example of the conventional structure shown in FIG. 26 described above, it is necessary to provide as
In view of such circumstances, the present inventors have previously described this rolling bearing unit based on the revolution speed of a pair of rolling elements (balls) constituting a rolling bearing unit which is a double row angular ball bearing. An invention relating to a load measuring device for a rolling bearing unit for measuring a radial load or an axial load applied to the bearing was made (Japanese Patent Application No. 2004-7655). In the case of the load measuring device of the rolling bearing unit according to the present invention, in order to obtain the revolution speed of the rolling elements in each row, it is possible to detect the rotation speed of the cage holding the rolling elements in each row. Is effective in terms of obtaining high resolution. However, between the rolling surfaces of the rolling elements in each row and the inner surfaces of the pockets of the cages in each row, the rolling elements are allowed to roll and to the rolling surfaces of these rolling elements. Since there is a gap for allowing the grease to adhere, each of the cages may rotate while being displaced in the radial direction as it rotates. When such a whirling occurs, the revolution center of the rolling elements in each row and the rotation center of the cage in each row shift, and the rotational speed of the cage in each row, and thus each row It becomes impossible to accurately measure the revolution speed of the rolling element.
Such a problem may occur not only when the rotational speed of the cage is measured by a load measuring device for a rolling bearing unit that measures a radial load or an axial load applied to the rolling bearing unit. That is, in the rotational speed detection device for detecting the rotational speed of various rotating members, when the rotational center of the member whose rotational speed is to be detected does not coincide with the geometric center of the encoder, the rotational speed detection accuracy deteriorates. . In order to prevent the deterioration of the rotational speed detection accuracy due to such a cause, the detection signals of a pair of rotation detection sensors arranged at two positions opposite to the radial direction of the encoder are added together to It is also possible to eliminate the effects of deviation. However, in this case, two rotation detection sensors are required, which may increase the cost and installation space, and may be difficult to adopt.
As a technique for removing a relatively low-frequency noise component, an adaptive filter that is described in
In view of the circumstances as described above, the present invention can be configured at a low cost, does not cause a problem in durability and installation space, and has a precision required for controlling the rotation speed of the rotating member. The invention was invented to realize a rotational speed detection device capable of measuring while ensuring the above.
Preferably, the adaptive filter technology is applied to the field of rotational speed detection, which is completely different from the acoustic field conventionally applied, so that the rotational speed of the rotating member is reduced to a time that is a practical problem. It is intended to realize a rotation speed detection device that can measure without causing a delay.
The rotational speed detection device of the present invention comprises an encoder which is supported and fixed to a rotating member and rotates together with the rotating member, and whose characteristics are alternately changed with respect to the circumferential direction, and its detecting portion is opposed to the detected surface of the encoder. And a calculator for calculating the rotational speed of the rotating member based on a periodically changing detection signal sent from the rotation detecting sensor.
In particular, in the rotational speed detection device of the present invention, the computing unit {eg, caused by a mismatch between the rotational center of the encoder and the geometric center (claim 17)} is an error in calculating the rotational speed of the rotational member. The filter circuit for removing the influence of the fluctuation (noise) of the detection signal of the rotation detection sensor is provided.
As this filter circuit, an adaptive filter is preferably used as described in
The rotational speed detection device of the present invention configured as described above can accurately determine the rotational speed of the rotating member even when, for example, the rotational center of the rotating member and the geometric center of the encoder do not match. That is, even if these centers do not coincide with each other and a fluctuation based on this mismatch occurs in the detection signal of the rotation detection sensor, the fluctuation can be canceled (the influence of noise can be removed). For this reason, it is possible to accurately grasp various states based on the rotational speed of the rotating member and perform a prompt and appropriate treatment.
In particular, if an adaptive filter is used as the filter circuit, signal processing delays associated with canceling the fluctuations can be eliminated, and various controls using the rotational speed can be performed quickly.
When the present invention is implemented, preferably, as described in
Since the primary rotation component of the encoder tends to have a larger fluctuation range than the other components, it is effective to improve the detection accuracy of the rotational speed of the rotating member by canceling the fluctuation of this component by the filter circuit. I can plan.
In addition to the adaptive filter described in
When these filter circuits are used, as described in
As described in
In this case, for example, as described in
By adopting such a configuration, fluctuations included in the detection signal can be effectively removed.
Further, when carrying out the invention as described in
Alternatively, as described in claim 9, in addition to the first rotation detection sensor for detecting the rotation speed of the cage that matches the revolution speed of the plurality of rolling elements, the rotation speed of the rotating wheel is detected. A second rotation detection sensor is provided. And the fluctuation component which should be removed regarding the revolution speed obtained from the rotation speed of the cage detected by the first rotation detection sensor and the rotation speed of the rotating wheel detected by the second rotation detection sensor. Are removed by a notch filter.
If such a configuration is adopted, the fluctuation to be removed can be specified by the notch filter, and the fluctuation can be removed more effectively.
Preferably, when the invention using an adaptive filter as a filter circuit according to
As described in
With this configuration, the number of calculation processes required for the detection signal of the rotation detection sensor for each pulse of the encoder is greatly reduced, and the calculation speed is not particularly fast. Can be processed sufficiently.
Preferably, as described in
This configuration prevents the adaptive filter from canceling the DC level of the detection signal of the rotation detection sensor even when an adaptive filter that operates according to the synchronous LMS algorithm is used. Based on this, it is possible to accurately grasp various states.
Preferably, as described in
If the adaptive filter is arranged in parallel with the main signal path in this way, the filter is arranged (inserted) in series with the main signal path which is generally used in the past, and the characteristics of the filter can be varied by some method. With the configuration different from the configuration to be performed, the influence of the fluctuation of the detection signal of the rotation detection sensor can be easily and sufficiently removed. In addition, in the case of a filter such as a notch filter inserted in series, there is a possibility of causing a time delay in the main signal, but there is no fear of causing a time delay in the main signal by arranging in parallel. Make it.
Preferably, as described in
By using an adaptive filter that operates with the steepest descent method (more preferably with the LMS algorithm), the adaptive filter can be completed with minimal fluctuations due to the discrepancy between the rotational center of the rotating member and the geometric center of the encoder. Can do. For this reason, the error based on this fluctuation can be easily and sufficiently reduced.
Preferably, as described in claim 21, a reference signal (a signal correlated with fluctuations in the output signal of the rotation detection sensor based on the swing) which is an input of the adaptive filter is changed in characteristics during one rotation. Is generated by a detection signal processing circuit of the rotation detection sensor facing the encoder, or a processing circuit for calculating the rotation speed of the rotating member based on this detection signal.
In this way, the reference signal can be generated at low cost and in a small space. That is, in the case of active noise control that has been generally known as an adaptive filter application, the frequency and waveform of external noise to be reduced are not necessarily known. For this reason, the generation of a reference signal for creating a sound for canceling the external noise (a sound having the same magnitude and waveform as the external noise and having a phase shifted by 180 degrees) is collected by a separately provided microphone. It is necessary to carry out based on external noise (created by a signal taken from outside). On the other hand, in the case of the invention described in
Preferably, as described in
The fluctuation of the detection signal of the rotation detection sensor accompanying the rotation of the encoder includes a relatively long period (low frequency) fluctuation (first fluctuation) based on the swing and a characteristic change pitch in the circumferential direction. There is a relatively short cycle (high frequency) (second variation) due to an error. It is difficult to reduce such high-frequency fluctuations with the adaptive filter. However, such high-frequency fluctuations can be corrected by a low-pass filter such as an averaging filter that performs an averaging process such as moving average. Therefore, if a low-pass filter such as an averaging filter is provided before or after the adaptive filter as described above, the fluctuation of the detection signal of the rotation detection sensor based on the swing of the encoder (the first so-called cumulative pitch error) (Variation), as well as fluctuation (second fluctuation) of the detection signal of the rotation detection sensor based on the pitch error of the characteristic change of the encoder.
In carrying out the invention described in
The fluctuation of the detection signal of the rotation speed detection sensor based on the encoder swing occurs due to the mismatch between the rotation center of the encoder and the geometric center. This mismatch also occurs due to an assembly error or the like. However, the disagreement between the centers based on the assembly error can be suppressed to an extent that there is no practical problem by improving the assembly accuracy.
However, when the encoder is supported by the cage, even if the geometric centers of the cage and the encoder are completely matched, a mismatch between the rotation center of the encoder and the geometric center occurs. This is because, as described above, there is a gap between the rolling surface of each rolling element and the inner surface of the pocket of the cage.
Therefore, when the rotation speed of the cage is measured using an encoder supported and fixed to the cage, the fluctuation of the detection signal of the rotation detection sensor based on the mismatch between the rotation center and the geometric center of the encoder Response becomes important.
In particular, as described in
When the encoder is supported and fixed to a part of the cage and the geometric center of the encoder does not coincide with the rotation center, the detected surface of this encoder can be any surface (circumferential surface, axial direction) Regardless of one side, the detection signal of the rotation detection sensor fluctuates based on the mismatch. However, in the case where the encoder and the detection unit of the rotational speed detection device are arranged in a limited space inside the rolling bearing, the degree of freedom in design becomes higher when the detected surface is one side surface in the axial direction of the encoder.

1 to 8 show a first embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, the load (radial load and axial load) applied to the rolling bearing unit for supporting the driven wheel of the automobile (the front wheel of the FR car, the RR car, the MD car, the rear wheel of the FF car) is measured. A case where the present invention is applied to a load measuring device of a rolling bearing unit is shown. Among these, the configuration and operation of the rolling bearing unit portion are the same as those of the conventional structure shown in FIG. 25 described above, and therefore, the same portions are denoted by the same reference numerals and redundant description is omitted or simplified. The description will focus on the features of the embodiment.
Formed on the outer peripheral surface of the
A mounting
Among these, the revolution
For this purpose, the detection surfaces of the revolution
On the other hand, the rotational
As the
In the case of the present embodiment, as each of the revolution
Further, as each of the revolution
In the case of the load measuring device of the rolling bearing unit of the present embodiment, the detection signals of the
nc ={1−(d・cos α/D)・(ni /2)}+{1+(d・cos α/D)・(n o /2)} −−− (1)
FIG. 4 schematically shows the rolling bearing unit for supporting the wheel shown in FIG. 1 and shows the action state of the load. Preloads F 0 and F 0 are applied to the rolling
n c = {1− (d · cos α / D) · (n i / 2)} + {1+ (d · cos α / D) · (n o / 2)} (1)
As is clear from this equation (1), the rolling
However, the contact angle α which leads to a change in the revolution speed n c, as well as the radial load F r and the axial load F a is changed while associated with each other, also varies the preload F 0, F 0 To do. Also, the revolution speed n c is changed in proportion to the rotational speed n i of the
In view of such circumstances, in the case of the present embodiment, as described above, when the radial load is obtained, the rolling
There are various other methods for calculating one or both of the radial load and the axial load based on the signals of the revolution
However, whichever load is obtained by any method, the revolution speed of the rolling
On the other hand, in the detection signals of the respective revolution
First, the reason why the above two types of fluctuations occur will be described with reference to FIGS. The inner surface of the pocket of the
When the detection surface of the revolution
Further, the pitch between the S pole and the N pole arranged on the side surface of the revolution
The detection signal (based on the signal representing the revolution speed) output from the revolution
First, the low frequency fluctuation reduction by the
On the other hand, in order to operate the
In the case of the present embodiment, the reference signal x is determined based on the number of characteristic changes during one revolution of the revolution
On the other hand, in the present embodiment, the reference signal x is obtained without using the detection signal of such a separately provided sensor, and the revolving
Such a waveform of the reference signal x can be generated by a processing circuit (CPU) for calculating the revolution speed of each rolling
In the above equations (2), (3), and (4), k is a data number in time series, and N is the number of taps of the FIR filter used as the
As described above, the correction signal e representing the actual rotational speed d d is obtained by subtracting the cancel signal y calculated by the
FIG. 8 shows an example of a simulation for suppressing the fluctuation based on the swing of the encoder using the
On the other hand, the broken line (b) shows the result (corresponding to the correction signal e) obtained by correcting the data after the moving average shown by the solid line (a) using the applied filter. As apparent from the broken line b, the calculated value fluctuates immediately after the start of the applied filter, but the filter coefficient self-adapts after a short time, and the calculated result converges to a constant value of approximately 100 min −1 . Therefore, by using an averaging filter and an adaptive filter together, even if an encoder with a large pitch error or a large deviation between the rotation center and the geometric center (running motion) is used, the rotation speed of the rotating member It can be seen that is required accurately.
In order to obtain the two lines A and B shown in FIG. 8, the reference signal x is a sine wave having one cycle of 60 pulses while counting the number of pulses in the speed calculation device. Suppose you are self-generating. The step size parameters of the adaptive filter are μ = 0.002 and the number of taps N = 30.
9 to 12 show Example 2 of the present invention. The feature of the present embodiment is that the number of calculation processes required for the detection signal of the rotation detection sensor for each pulse of the encoder is greatly reduced, and the calculation speed is not particularly fast. ) Is possible. For this reason, in the case of the present embodiment, the amount of calculation can be greatly reduced by using a synchronous LMS algorithm. However, when only the synchronous LMS algorithm is used, the primary rotation component that is the swing of the encoder is corrected (cancelled), and at the same time, the DC level that represents the rotation speed to be detected is also corrected (cancelled). Resulting in. In this case, since the original function of the rotational speed detecting device is lost, the zero point of the filter coefficient is monitored, and zero point correction is performed to prevent the cancellation of the DC level. The characteristics of the present embodiment considered from such a viewpoint will be described below. Although the level is not a problem in practical use, the DC level may be slightly deviated even in the example shown in FIG. Therefore, in order to perform more accurate control, it is preferable to perform zero point correction also in this case.
Each of the above formulas (2), (3), and (4) used for optimizing the adaptive filter in the first embodiment described above is a simple formula, but the amount of calculation is problematic in actual application. It may be possible. For example, if the number of taps of the adaptive filter is N = 60, the multiplication is performed 60 times by the above formula (2), the subtraction is performed by the above formula (3), the multiplication is 120 times by the above formula (4), and the addition is performed 60 times. 180 times, a total of 241 arithmetic operations must be performed for each pulse of the encoder. Therefore, the amount of calculation required to obtain the revolution speed of the double row rolling elements provided in one rolling bearing unit is 482 times / 1 pulse. This calculation amount (number of operations) is not physically unprocessable, but it is necessary to use a relatively expensive CPU with a high processing speed. For example, when detecting the rotational speed of automobile wheels (four wheels) for the control of a vehicle running stabilization device such as ABS, TCS, VSC, etc., four expensive CPUs (or every pulse) are used. It is necessary to use a CPU that is high enough to perform 241 times × 2 × 4 = 1920 times of four arithmetic operations, which is not preferable because it causes an increase in the cost of the vehicle travel stabilization device.
In view of such circumstances, in the case of the present embodiment, it is intended to use a synchronous LMS algorithm to greatly reduce the amount of calculation and enable the use of a low-cost CPU. However, when the adaptive filter is operated by the synchronous LMS algorithm, the adaptive filter cancels not only the whirling component of the encoder but also the DC component representing the rotational speed. This phenomenon of canceling the DC component is remarkable when the synchronous LMS algorithm is used. Therefore, in the case of the present embodiment, the DC level representing the rotational speed can be accurately detected by providing a function for setting the output value of the adaptive filter to zero.
When the
However, when the synchronous LMS algorithm is employed to operate the
When the measurement data relating to the rotational speed as indicated by the solid line A in FIG. 9 is processed using the
When the synchronous method is adopted as the LMS algorithm for operating the adaptive filter and no particular countermeasure is taken, as shown by the chain line C, not only the fluctuation component based on the swing of the encoder but also the DC representing the rotation speed Even components are canceled and the output value becomes zero. This is a phenomenon that occurs because the filter coefficient W of the
Next, a method for calculating the DC level from the average value of the filter coefficient W will be described. By operating the
By the way, the object of error cancellation, that is, the undulation based on the shake of the encoder is a rotation n-order component mainly composed of the rotation first order. In the case of this embodiment, since the tap number N of the adaptive filter is made equal to the number of pulses per one revolution of the encoder, the filter coefficient W is a periodic function with a period of N (= 60). . In the example shown in FIG. 11, the rotation is a first-order periodic function. Therefore, the average value of any two points set with an interval of N / 2 (= 30) is equivalent to the average value of all N (= 60) points. Thus, if the average value of these two points is obtained and set to the DC level representing the rotational speed, the number of calculations can be greatly reduced, which is advantageous from the viewpoint of the cost reduction of the CPU. If reliability remains uncertain with the average of only two points, select any two points with an interval of N / 2 (= 30) apart from the above two points, and average the total of four points Is calculated. Although not shown, even when the filter coefficient W is a rotation n-th order periodic function, the average value is similarly set by appropriately increasing the number of points for obtaining the average value and appropriately setting the interval. Desired.
FIG. 12 shows an example of a simulation for the effect of suppressing the fluctuation based on the swing of the encoder by the structure of the present embodiment. FIG. 12 shows the case where the rotational speed of a rotating member rotating at a constant speed of 100 min −1 is measured by a 60 pulse / 1 rotation encoder. The solid line A is the result (corresponding to the output signal d) obtained by performing only the moving average process with the number of taps = 15 (providing only the averaging filter) on the detection result of the rotation speed detection sensor. In this case, the calculated value of the rotational speed fluctuates between about 70 to 130 min −1 due to the swing of the encoder. The chain line B uses the applied

A third embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. 13 in addition to FIG.
As described above, by using an adaptive filter, it is possible to efficiently remove the error component included in the output of the rotation detection sensor that changes with the rotation of the encoder while minimizing the response delay. Speed detection with high accuracy becomes possible. The main purpose of the processing by the LMS algorithm or the synchronous LMS algorithm used for processing in such an adaptive filter is to remove the speed detection error of the revolution n-order component. Accordingly, not only the primary revolution error component due to the swing of the cage can be removed, but also the revolution nZ order (Z is the number of rolling elements) error component based on the passing vibration of the rolling element can be removed.
However, depending on the operating conditions of the rolling bearing, the rolling element passing vibration may occur after the revolution (nZ / 2). This is a Matthew-type coefficient excitation phenomenon, and the vibration (Z / 2) order is most likely to occur. The lower part of page 975 of “Vibration Engineering Handbook” published by Osamu Taniguchi, published by Yokendo Co., Ltd. As is described in the above, it is conventionally known. When the number of rolling elements Z is an odd number, the frequency of the revolution (Z / 2) order vibration is 0.5 order unit. Such an error component related to speed detection by the 0.5th order vibration cannot be removed by an adaptive filter such as the LMS algorithm or the synchronous LMS algorithm for the purpose of removing the revolution nth order component. In the present embodiment, in response to such a situation, the speed detection error of the revolution (nZ / 2) order component is corrected to enable highly accurate speed detection.
FIG. 13 shows a characteristic diagram of a synchronous LMS adaptive filter as a specific example of such processing. Since the revolution n-order component is greatly attenuated, the revolution (nZ / 2) order component (Z is an even number) which becomes the revolution n-order is removed. As is apparent from FIG. 13, by using an even number of rolling elements, an adaptive filter for correcting the speed detection error of the revolution n-order component is used as in the second embodiment. The speed detection error of the revolution (nZ / 2) next component can be corrected.
As described in the third embodiment, by using an even number of rolling elements, an adaptive filter for correcting the speed detection error of the revolution n-order component can be used. Speed detection error can be corrected. However, in order to improve the life of the rolling bearing unit, there is a request to increase the number of rolling elements as much as possible. To satisfy this requirement in a limited space, the number of rolling elements is An odd number is also assumed. When the number of rolling elements becomes an odd number, as described in the third embodiment, the speed detection error of the revolution (nZ / 2) order component becomes a frequency of 0.5 revolution unit. The present embodiment relates to a countermeasure in such a case, and even if the number of rolling elements is an odd number using an adaptive filter capable of correcting the speed detection error of the revolution 0.5n-order component. A processing technique capable of correcting the speed detection error of the revolution (nZ / 2) next component is realized.
A synchronous LMS adaptive filter will be described as a specific example of the adaptive filter aimed at correcting the speed detection error of the revolution 0.5nth-order component from such a viewpoint. The symbol j in the formulas (9) to (11) described in the above-mentioned third embodiment is a number that circulates from 0 to (N-1). The number of taps N at this time is calculated per
Even if the number of rolling elements is an even number, a speed detection error of the revolving 0.5n order component may occur separately from the revolving (nZ / 2) order component. This is dealt with by using an adaptive filter capable of correcting the speed detection error of the 0.5n-order component. In any case, however, in the case of an adaptive filter capable of correcting the speed detection error of the revolution 0.5n-order component as in this embodiment, the frequency band that can be used as detection data is narrowed or converged. The problem of getting worse occurs. Therefore, the processing technique of this embodiment is effective when the necessity of correcting the speed detection error of the revolution (nZ / 2) -order component is more important than the problems of securing the frequency band and improving the convergence. is there.
In addition, since the LMS adaptive filter has a characteristic that the average value of the filter coefficient w drifts, the average value of the filter coefficient group must be calculated and corrected. In the case of the above-described second embodiment, as shown in FIG. 11, an average value of two arbitrary or four or more filter coefficients w k selected at equal intervals in the filter coefficient group was calculated. However, the method for obtaining the average value of the filter coefficient w necessary for the processing by the LMS adaptive filter is not limited to the method of the second embodiment. That is, as can be seen from the above equation (11), the filter coefficient w only updates one filter coefficient w (j) for each data sampling. Accordingly, the total value of the entire filter coefficient group is grasped in advance, and the old w before being updated from the sum obtained by adding the newly added filter coefficient w k + 1 (j) to this total value. If k (j) is subtracted (subtracted), the total value of the entire latest filter coefficient group can always be grasped. Then, the average value of the filter coefficient group can be calculated by dividing (by dividing) the total value obtained in this way by the number of taps N.
A fifth embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS.
First, a problem to be solved by the present embodiment will be described. As described in the first embodiment, μ in the equation (4) is a coefficient called a step size parameter that determines an update amount for self-optimizing the filter coefficient. When performing processing using an adaptive filter, the larger the coefficient μ, the better the initial convergence of the filter calculation. Conversely, in order to attenuate the error component accurately, the coefficient μ must be small. Accordingly, there is no coefficient μ that achieves both convergence and error attenuation. As described above, the problem caused by the fact that these two types of requirements cannot be satisfied simultaneously with respect to the coefficient μ is specifically shown in FIGS.
Of these, FIG. 14 shows the result of overwriting the attenuation characteristics of a synchronous LMS adaptive filter driven with different coefficients μ. Since this synchronous LMS adaptive filter is intended to remove the error component of the rotation n-order component, the rotation first-order and second-order components are greatly attenuated. However, as the coefficient μ increases from 0.05 → 0.10 → 0.20 → 0.30, there is a problem that components other than the rotation n-th order are increased.
On the other hand, FIG. 15 shows a state in which a problem occurs with respect to convergence when the coefficient μ is reduced. FIG. 15 shows a waveform obtained by superimposing an intentionally created error waveform (“measurement data” indicated by a broken line b) on a waveform that is originally required (“desired data” indicated by a solid line a), and a synchronous type. The waveform calculated by the LMS adaptive filter (“filtered data” indicated by the chain line C) is shown superimposed. FIG. 15A shows the case where the coefficient μ is small (0.05) and the case where (B) is large (0.3). When the coefficient μ is small (0.05), it can be seen that the initial convergence is poor.
As is clear from FIG. 15, regarding the attenuation of the error component by the adaptive filter, if the coefficient μ is reduced with emphasis on the attenuation characteristic, the convergence becomes worse, and if the coefficient μ is increased with emphasis on the convergence, Attenuation characteristics will deteriorate.
In the present embodiment, in view of the circumstances as described above, the above-mentioned coefficient μ is increased in a situation where convergence is required, and in a situation where error attenuation is regarded as important, the coefficient μ is set small. And inventing the error attenuation.
First, in the case of a load measuring device for a rolling bearing unit that is the subject of this embodiment, it is during high-speed traveling that it is necessary to accurately detect the load. In other words, during low-speed traveling, it is difficult to generate behaviors that make the traveling state unstable, such as skidding, compared to high-speed traveling, so that the need to accurately detect the load applied to the rolling bearing unit is low. Therefore, it is highly necessary to accurately attenuate the error component included in the output signal of the rotation detection sensor that changes as the encoder rotates. In such a case, it is preferable that the coefficient μ is small from the viewpoint of accurately performing error attenuation.
On the other hand, in a situation where the vehicle has just started running from a stopped state, accurate rotation speed detection cannot be performed unless the adaptive filter converges early. In such a case, it is preferable to increase the coefficient μ because the convergence time can be shortened.
In consideration of these matters, the coefficient μ is set to a large value at the initial stage when the vehicle starts to run and the rotation detection sensor starts to output a detection signal. When a large amount of sampling data of the detection sensor is accumulated and the adaptive filter is almost converged, the coefficient μ may be changed so that the coefficient μ is decreased. That is, when the vehicle speed is high, the coefficient μ is decreased, and when the vehicle speed is low, the coefficient μ is increased. Alternatively, the coefficient μ is changed in accordance with the vehicle speed, the coefficient μ is changed in accordance with the number of sampling data, and the coefficient μ is changed in consideration of both the vehicle speed and the number of sampling data. You can also make it.
FIGS. 16 to 18 show the results of simulations performed to confirm the effect of changing the coefficient μ as in this embodiment. In this simulation, as shown in FIG. 16, the coefficient μ is changed according to the number of sampling data (becomes smaller). In this case, the signal output from the adaptive filter converged as shown in FIG. 17 by processing the detection signal of the rotation detection sensor by the adaptive filter. The meanings of the solid line A, the broken line B, and the chain line C described in FIG. 17 are the same as those in FIG.
From FIG. 17, it can be seen that immediately after the sampling of the detection signal is started, that is, immediately after the vehicle starts running, the adaptive filter converges in a relatively short time because the coefficient μ is large. . It can also be seen that the desired attenuation characteristic can be obtained because the coefficient μ is small when sampling is advanced to some extent. In the examples shown in FIGS. 16 to 17, the coefficient μ is rapidly decreased with the start of sampling of the detection signal. However, after the state where the coefficient μ is large is continued for a while as shown in FIG. 18. The coefficient μ may be changed so as to reduce the coefficient μ.
FIG. 19 shows
For example, when a digital low-pass filter is used, the sampling frequency of the filter calculation is set not to a fixed frequency but to a sampling frequency corresponding to the rotation speed of the encoder. If the sampling frequency is set in this way, the cut-off frequency can be changed (in proportion) according to the rotation speed of the encoder. Specifically, data sampling for the filter calculation may be performed every time a pulse signal is output from a sensor facing the encoder. FIG. 19 is a flowchart (block diagram) in which a configuration diagram of an IIR type low-pass filter is expressed by Z conversion as an example of such a frequency tracking type (fixed order type) low-pass filter. The following formulas (12) and (13) are calculation formulas used for processing by the low-pass filter.
Y´ (k) = a 0・ X (k) + a 1・ Y´ (k-1) + a 2・ Y´ (k-2) −−− (12)
Y (k) = b 0 · Y ′ (k) + b 1 · Y ′ (k−1) + b 2 · Y ′ (k−2) −−− (13)
19 and (12) and (13), X is input data to the low-pass filter, and is a signal representing the rotational speed obtained in correspondence with the pulse period or pulse speed of the encoder. Y is an output of the low-pass filter, and Y ′ is a signal processed in the low-pass filter. Y ′ (k−1) means Y ′ calculated in the past from the current time (processing number k), and Y ′ (k−2) is 2 from the current time (processing number k). This means Y ′ calculated in the past. Past Y ′ (k−1) and Y ′ (k−2) are stored in a memory or the like incorporated in the processing circuit constituting the low-pass filter. In the initial state of calculation, there is no past Y ′, but the calculation may be started by substituting zero, or an appropriate value may be stored in the memory in advance as an initial value. Also, the coefficients a 0 , a 1 , a 2 , b 0 , b 1 , b 2 in the above equations (19) and (12) (13) determine the cut-off order and the steepness of the cut-off of the low-pass filter. The numerical value is substituted so that the desired characteristic is obtained.
If the sensor output signal that changes with the rotation of the encoder is processed by the low-pass filter that functions as in the flowchart shown in FIG. , That is, the first-order rotation error component, which is the accumulated pitch error, can be suppressed. In addition, since the output signal of the sensor is processed by a low-pass filter, in addition to the first-order rotation error component, a high-frequency error component based on the aforementioned magnetization pitch error and the like can be suppressed at the same time. However, generally, when a signal is processed using a low-pass filter, a response delay occurs. Accordingly, the processing of the output signal of the sensor by the low-pass filter as in this embodiment is performed when the response delay is not likely to be a problem. For example, in the case of considering a case where a load is detected from the revolution speed of each rolling

FIG. 20 is a flowchart in which the configuration diagram of the notch filter is expressed by Z conversion. The following formulas (14) and (15) are calculation formulas used for processing by the notch filter.
Y ′ (k) = X (k) −α · Y ′ (k−N / A) −−− (14)
Y (k) = {(1 + α) / 2} · {Y ′ (k) + Y ′ (k−N / A)}
---- (15)
20 and (14) and (15), X is input data to the notch filter, and is a signal representing the rotational speed obtained corresponding to the pulse period or pulse speed of the encoder. Y is an output of the notch filter, and Y ′ is a signal processed in the notch filter. N is the number of pulses per rotation of the encoder (one revolution of the rolling element), A is a constant that defines the notch frequency, α is a constant that determines the notch steepness (which also affects convergence), Represents each.
Y ′ (k−N / A) means Y ′ calculated in the past by N / A from the current time (processing number k). In order to calculate the current Y ′ (k) by the equation (14), a value obtained by multiplying the above Y ′ (k−N / A) by α is subtracted from the input X (k). The past Y ′ (k−N / A) is stored in a memory or the like incorporated in the processing circuit constituting the notch filter. In the initial state of the calculation, there is no past Y ′ (k−N / A), but the calculation may be started by substituting zero, or an appropriate value is stored in the memory in advance as an initial value. May be.
The output Y of such a notch filter is calculated using the latest Y ′ (k) and the past Y ′ (k−N / A) as shown in the above equation (15). In this case, a constant A that defines the notch frequency is appropriately defined in combination with the number N of pulses per one rotation of the encoder so as to follow a frequency that changes as the rotational speed increases or decreases. This is a fixed-order notch filter. For example, if A = 2, it becomes a notch filter that removes a rotation first-order error component. And, by suppressing the rotation primary error component with the notch filter in this way, the response delay can be reduced compared with the case of using the above-described low-pass filter, and in a state where sudden lane change is performed during high speed running, The grip force generated at the contact portion between the wheel and the road surface is detected, and control for ensuring the running stability of the vehicle can be performed.
However, even in the case of a notch filter, the response delay is small compared to the above-described low-pass filter, but it still exists, and this response delay may be a problem. For example, the road surface grip force is detected at the moment when an obstacle that has suddenly jumped out is avoided by sudden steering. In order to be able to cope with such a case where the response delay is hardly allowed (at all), an error correction method using an adaptive filter is effective as in the first and second embodiments. Which filter is used is determined according to the case where the fastest response is required. A structure using both a fast response filter and a slow filter can also be employed depending on circumstances, including the case where an adaptive filter and a low-pass filter are used together, as described above.
The present embodiment and the subsequent embodiments relate to a technique capable of attenuating an error component other than the revolution order type among error components included in an output signal of a rotation detection sensor that changes with rotation of an encoder. As described above, the output signal includes an error component (noise component) of the revolution order of the rolling element or the rotation order of the rotating wheel. Other error components may be included. For example, when an imbalance exists in the rotating wheel, a primary rotation vibration is generated in the rotating wheel, and this vibration causes a cage, an encoder, a rotation detection sensor, and the like to vibrate. In such a case, the primary rotation noise component of the rotating wheel may be superimposed on the revolution speed detection signal. In addition to the primary rotation vibration of the rotating wheel, for example, in the case of a rolling bearing unit for supporting a wheel of an automobile, the rotating wheel is rotated to the n-th order (n May be an integer). Also in this case, the rotation n-order noise component of the rotating wheel is superimposed on the revolution speed detection signal.
An example of the notch filter specified by the revolution order is shown in the following equation (16).
ωc =(1−d・cos α/D)・ωi /2 −−− (17)
ωc =0.4ωi
或は、
ωi =2.5ωc
As can be seen from the above equation (16), in order to remove the rotation n-order component of the rotating wheel, it is necessary to know how many of the rotation n-order components correspond to the revolution order. In order to grasp this, the present inventors have invented the following two methods.
In the first method, based on the relationship between the revolution speed ω c of the rolling element and the rotational speed ω i of the rotating wheel (in this case, the inner ring), the rotating wheel is expressed by the following equation (17). It is known in advance how many rotation n-order components correspond to the revolution order. Then, a notch filter process is performed on the corresponding revolution order component.
ω c = (1−d · cos α / D) · ω i / 2 −−− (17)
In the equation (17), α represents the contact angle of each rolling element, D represents the pitch circle diameter of each rolling element, and d represents the diameter of each rolling element.
If the dimensions of the rolling bearing unit to be used are substituted into the above equation (17), the relationship between the revolution speed of each rolling element and the rotation speed of the rotating wheel (inner ring) can be obtained. As an example, substituting D = 50 mm, d = 14 mm, and α = 45 degrees into the above equation (17),
ω c = 0.4ω i
Or
ω i = 2.5ω c
It becomes. That is, the rotation primary component of the rotating wheel corresponds to about 2.5th order of the revolution order, and the rotation nth order component of the rotating wheel corresponds to about 2.5nth order of the revolution order. If the notch filter shown in the equation (16) is configured using the calculated revolution order, the noise component of the n-th rotation of the rotating wheel can be removed.
In the case of the first method as described above, as long as the contact angle α of the rolling bearing unit is constant, it is possible to effectively remove the n-th order noise component of the rotating wheel. However, as described above, the contact angle α changes based on the load acting on the rolling bearing unit, and the relationship between the revolution speed and the rotational speed of the rotating wheel also changes slightly. In order to cope with this change, the coefficient Q in the equation (16) is adjusted so that the notch width (attenuable width) is set wide, and the relationship between the revolution speed and the rotating wheel rotation speed changes to some extent. A method for removing noise is also effective. However, widening the notch width is not preferable because it attenuates components that are not desired to be removed or increases the phase delay.
On the other hand, in the second method, the notch filter is configured by obtaining the relationship between the revolution speed and the rotational speed of the rotating wheel from the rotational speed information and the revolution speed information. In this case, it is necessary to measure the rotational speed of the rotating wheel. However, for example, in the case of a rolling bearing unit for supporting a wheel of an automobile, a sensor for detecting the rotational speed of the wheel is already provided for the ABS control. Then, the relationship between the revolution speed and the rotating wheel rotation speed can be easily obtained. Regardless of the fluctuation of the contact angle α, the relationship between the revolution speed and the rotation speed of the rotating wheel can be always accurately grasped, and the notch filter processing with a narrow notch width can be performed, and the phase delay can be minimized. It can be suppressed.
As described above, the relationship between the revolution speed and the rotation speed of the rotating wheel is grasped by two methods, and four examples of the state in which notch filter processing with a narrow notch width is performed are shown in FIG. This will be described with reference to .about.24.
First, the first example shown in FIG. 21 uses the equation representing the relationship between the revolution speed and the rotation speed of the rotating wheel represented by the above equation (17) to determine how many rotation n-order components of the rotating wheel are in the revolution order. In this method, the notch filter processing is performed on the corresponding revolution order component. In the method shown in FIG. 21, the low-pass filter, the adaptive filter, and the revolution order notch filter described above are described in addition to the rotation n-order notch filter of the rotating wheel as processing of the revolution speed signal. Yes.
Note that, as in this embodiment, a technique for grasping the relationship between the revolution speed and the rotation speed of the rotating wheel and performing notch filter processing with a narrow notch width is the presence or absence of filter processing such as the low-pass filter. It is established regardless of the type, order, etc. This also applies to the cases shown in FIGS.
Next, FIG. 22 shows the relationship between the revolution speed and the rotation speed of the rotating wheel based on the measured information on the rotation speed of the rotating wheel and the information on the revolution speed, and the rotation n-order notch filter of the rotating wheel is obtained. How to configure. For both the revolution speed and the information on the rotation speed of the rotating wheel, the result of the filter processing as in the above-described embodiment is used. Therefore, it is possible to accurately grasp the relationship between the revolution speed and the rotation speed of the rotating wheel.
Next, FIG. 23 shows the relationship between the revolution speed and the rotation speed of the rotating wheel based on the measured information on the rotation speed of the rotating wheel and the information on the revolution speed, and the rotation n-order notch filter of the rotating wheel is obtained. How to configure. In the case of the processing shown in FIG. 23, information about the revolution speed and the rotational speed of the rotating wheel is obtained by using a value in the middle of the filtering process as in the above-described embodiment. ing. Then, after further adding a filter process to the halfway value, the relationship between the revolution speed and the rotation speed of the rotating wheel is obtained. The reason for this configuration is that a series of filter processes are performed for the purpose of calculating the relationship between the revolution speed and the rotation speed of the rotating wheel with higher accuracy, as in the process shown in FIG. This is because, if processing is added, the response delay increases, and a part thereof is omitted. However, when a slight response delay is not a problem, although not shown in the figure, as shown in FIG. 22 above, a result obtained by performing a series of filter processes as in the above-described embodiment is used. In addition, a new filter may be additionally inserted.
Next, FIG. 24 shows the relationship between the revolution speed and the rotating wheel in order to obtain the relationship between the revolution speed and the rotating wheel rotational speed from the measured rotating wheel rotational speed information and the revolution speed information to construct a rotating wheel rotation n-th notch filter. For any of the rotation speeds, a signal that is not subjected to filter processing is used as the speed information. For this reason, the relationship between the revolution speed and the rotation speed of the rotating wheel can be grasped without any delay.
As is clear from the description regarding FIGS. 21 to 24 described above, the revolution speed is obtained by using the speed result obtained by averaging or low-pass filtering one or both of the revolution speed and the rotation speed of the rotating wheel. And the relationship between the rotation speed of the rotating wheel and the rotating wheel. This is to prevent the detected speed information from being disturbed by the influence of a pulse pitch error or the like.
Or you may use the result after performing an adaptive filter and the revolution nth-order component notch filter process like the Example mentioned above as speed information.
Contrary to the above method, the revolution n-order component noise or the revolution nZ-order component noise (Z: the number of rolling elements) included in the rotation speed of the rotating wheel is notch-filtered by the same method, and accuracy is improved. It is also effective to detect a good rotating wheel rotation speed.
In the case of a rolling bearing unit that calculates the load using the revolution speeds of both rows as in the invention according to Japanese Patent Application No. 2004-7655 described above, for the revolution speeds of both rows, respectively. The notch filter processing as described above is performed.
The rotational speed detecting device of the present invention is not limited to the load measuring device of the rolling bearing unit for measuring the load applied to the rolling bearing unit that supports the wheel of the automobile, as shown in the embodiment, but of various rotating machinery devices. This can be used to detect the rotational speed of the rotating member. In this case, the member that supports and fixes the encoder is not limited to a member that may deviate from the rotation center and the geometric center, such as a cage. There may be. In this case, it is not necessary to particularly increase the accuracy of assembly of the encoder to the rotating member, and the cost required for assembly can be reduced. The encoder that can be used when implementing the present invention is not limited to a so-called multi-pole magnet encoder in which S poles and N poles are alternately arranged in the rotation direction, but a rotational speed of a tone wheel, a gear, a slit disk, etc. Encoders of various structures that can obtain information are included. Also, the rotation detection sensor is not limited to the magnetization detection type, and various types of structures such as an optical type and an eddy current type can be used.
