Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a communication control apparatus, a communication control system, a communication control method, and a computer program that control a communication apparatus that is used for path control by an ISP (Internet Service Provider) that mainly operates the Internet.
By the way, the actual route control between ASs is performed by an inter-AS route control protocol (hereinafter referred to as BGP: Border Gateway Protocol) prepared in a border router connected to another AS router or a forward operation. A basic command for control is set, and the command is read and operated on a single router (for example, see Non-Patent
FIG. 6 is a schematic block diagram showing a connection between a conventional border router 10 and a network in which another AS number is set. In the Internet in which a plurality of different AS networks are interconnected, each AS network has its border routers 10 at the boundary exchange route information based on BGP. The border router 10 determines a packet forwarding destination based on the set BGP route information. That is, when transmitting a packet to the outside, another router in the same AS network as the border router 10 forwards the packet to the border router 10, and the border router 10 determines a forwarding destination of the packet according to the path information. The BGP route information is composed of various attribute information for route control such as a destination IP address and an AS list for reaching the destination (hereinafter referred to as an AS path).
When a plurality of BGP route information to the same destination is received from a plurality of AS networks, the received AS network selects one entry from the route information entries as the best path according to its own policy. If necessary, only the best path is publicized to other AS networks.
The selection of the best path is to determine one forward destination for each destination IP address, which is generated based on the attribute information value set in the BGP route information based on the management policy for each AS network. This is performed according to the BGP route selection rule.
Specifically, since a route having a large value called the local_pref attribute is selected, the basic setting of the border router is described so as to increase the value. When the local_pref attribute is not set, the forward destination is determined according to the basic rule of the protocol in which the shorter AS path length is given priority.
As an example, an example of basic setting of the border router 10 in FIG. The border router 10 has BGP connection with the AS 100 and the AS 200. The AS 100 is connected to the AS 300 and the AS 400 that have a large traffic exchange with the AS network. The AS 200 is an ISP having a large bandwidth line overseas.
In such a case, if the policy of the local AS network is “For AS300 and AS400, send traffic via AS100, and others via AS200”, create the following configuration file as the basic settings of the router And input to the border router 10. The following is an example of a router configuration file. In the configuration file example, “!” And below indicate a comment.

厳密には、前者をeBGP(externalBGP)、後者をiBGP(internalBGP)と呼んで区別する。
When using a plurality of border routers to make BGP connections with other AS networks, each border router establishes a BGP connection with an external AS network and at the same time establishes a BGP session between the border routers in the AS network. , BGP route information is exchanged. Strictly speaking, the former is called eBGP (externalBGP) and the latter is called iBGP (internalBGP).
Since it is stipulated as a BGP rule that route information received by iBGP is not broadcast again by iBGP, each border router normally establishes an iBGP session with all other border routers in the form of a full mesh.
In iBGP, since the value of the local_pref attribute is stored inside the AS network, it is necessary to maintain the consistency of local_pref in order to perform unified path control in the settings of a plurality of border routers that set the value. In general, the operator who describes the basic settings manages their consistency manually.
For example, even if the local_pref value is a policy as intended within the range of a single border router, a larger local_pref value is set in other border routers. At that time, when an iBGP connection is made with a router having a large local_pref value, the BGP route information received by the router from the external AS network is prioritized. It becomes a router, and route control as intended is not possible. Therefore, in such a case, it is necessary for the operator to adjust and set the value of local_pref used in both routers.
As described above, the conventional technology does not have a method of handling a set of border routers, that is, a plurality of border routers in a unified manner, and at the same time, the basic command itself, which is the setting, performs low-level basic operations such as local_pref. It can only be described statically in advance under the control of the operator. For this reason, there is a problem in that it is not possible to make a description that observes changes in the state of the network in consideration of the passage of time and feeds back the results to the route control of the border router.
The present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems, and an object of the present invention is to perform routing control between ASs using BGP, which is an Internet standard, in an AS network, which is a management unit for Internet routing control.

According to the present invention, the communication control device includes information on a plurality of destination IP addresses, information on the next-stage IP address for reaching the destination IP address, information on the priority set for each destination IP address, and the destination IP address. Route information composed of AS numbers that can be uniquely specified on the Internet assigned for each communication is received from the communication device. And one said route information is detected based on the predetermined | prescribed route determination rule preset from the route information with the same destination IP address among the received route information. Then, new route information is generated in which the priority of the detected route information is set so as to be the highest among the route information having the same destination IP address. The generated new route information is transmitted to the connected communication device. Therefore, the communication control device aggregates route information of a plurality of communication devices, automatically derives appropriate route information according to a preset route determination rule, and sets appropriate route information in the communication device. It becomes possible. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce the setting work that has conventionally been adjusted by the operator for each communication device, and there is an effect that fine control that cannot be performed manually is possible.
In addition, according to the present invention, as a predetermined route determination rule, a rule for specifying and determining a specific next-stage IP address, or the number of routes via the communication device indicated by the next-stage IP address with the highest priority is determined. It is configured to set a rule that is determined to be equal for each device and a rule that is determined so that the amount of traffic exchanged by the communication device is equal for each communication device. Therefore, it is possible to collate information representing the network status that changes with time, such as network topology, traffic information, and billing information based on traffic information, with given rules, and change route information accordingly. Become. Moreover, since the communication control apparatus of this invention is controlling by standard BGP, it is applicable to the router carrying BGP which is a commercially available communication apparatus.

FIG. 2 is a diagram showing a data structure of the BGP
The BGP entry candidate data stores entry information created based on the BGP route information received by the
Hereinafter, the flow of processing of the

(2) In the created entry information, when there are a plurality of routes for a certain destination IP address, the
(3) The newly created entry is advertised to all
At this time, the advertise message is not sent to the
In the above route control processing, the best path is selected from the paths that actually exist. However, since the validity of this route changes with time, it is necessary to always observe the latest route information through iBGP and immediately update the state when the route no longer exists.
For example, when the entry information that is the basis of the entry information newly generated by the
When the
(1) If the border router that has received the withdraw message sent by the
(2) If the border router that has received the withdraw message sent to notify the route deletion by the
(3) If the advertise or withdraw message is not responded to the withdraw message sent to notify the route deletion by the
In order to prevent the best path from being selected based on the old route information, the
By creating and inserting entry information dynamically within the normal BGP processing range, it is possible to dynamically manipulate the IP packet forward destination for each destination of route information of multiple border routers. It becomes. Further, since the next_hop attribute of the existing entry information is generated by copying, it can be guaranteed that the route exists as a forward destination.
In each border router, route control is performed only with the local_pref value, and it is a condition that control using attribute values such as weights other than the standard used by a specific router vendor is not performed. This is because vendor-specific attribute values such as weights may override the local_pref value.

またピア毎のリンクのトラフィック情報は、既存のSNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol)などの規格化されたプロトコルを使えば、情報を容易に得ることができる。
