Description

The present invention relates to a reinforcing structure for a bumper reinforcement for automobiles.

Conventional bumper reinforcements for automobiles are made of aluminum, and as a structure for performing partial reinforcement, a guide-shaped reinforcing member formed on the reinforcement is fitted as shown in Patent Document 1 described later. A thing which fixes a reinforcement member and a reinforcement member by welding or a rivet is known (for example, refer to patent documents 1).

For example, a bumper reinforcement 1 shown in FIGS. 11 and 12 is installed inside a front bumper of an automobile, and both left and right end portions are bent toward the rear side of the vehicle body from a portion on the vehicle body center side. Aluminum reinforcing members 3 are fixed to the upper surface portions of both end portions 2 of the bumper reinforcement 1 by welding. In the structure shown in FIG. 13, the reinforcing member 3 is fixed to the bumper reinforcement 1 with rivets 4.
JP-A-7-164983

However, in the case of such a bumper reinforcement for automobiles, the reinforcing member 3 is fixed to the bumper reinforcement 1 by welding, and welding is performed in order to prevent the reinforcing member 3 from falling off at the time of load input at the time of collision. Since the length is sufficiently secured, the bumper reinforcement 1 made of aluminum is particularly expensive, and there is a problem that special production equipment and technology are required.

Further, the structure of the bumper reinforcement shown in FIG. 13 is configured to be supported by the rivet 4, so there is a problem that the load input at the time of collision cannot be sufficiently transmitted to the reinforcing member 3.

There was also a configuration in which a guide-shaped reinforcing member formed on the bumper reinforcement was inserted, but there is a possibility that the reinforcing member may fall off or shift when the reinforcement is attached to the vehicle or in the vehicle state. There was a problem that there was.

The present invention has been made paying attention to such a problem, and an object of the present invention is to provide an automobile bumper reinforcement that is low in cost and does not require installation.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the bumper reinforcement for automobiles according to the present application is mounted by being bent from the molded shape of the reinforcing member inside or outside the bumper reinforcement, and the bumper rain force is applied by the reaction force of the reinforcing member. The reinforcing member is fixed to a force.

According to the bumper reinforcement for automobiles of the present invention, it is fixed to the bumper reinforcement by the reaction force of the reinforcing member.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION Hereinafter, an automotive bumper reinforcement according to the best mode for carrying out the present invention will be described based on examples and drawings.

1 and 2 show the main part of a bumper reinforcement for an automobile according to an embodiment of the present invention. The bumper reinforcement 10 is formed in a cylindrical shape and is opened at the end of the bumper reinforcement 10. Part 11 is formed. A reinforcing member 12 is attached to the opening 11. The combination of the material of the bumper reinforcement 10 and the reinforcing member 12 may be a combination of aluminum and iron, or aluminum and plastic. In this embodiment, the reinforcement member 12 is made of iron, and the bumper reinforcement 10 is made of aluminum. Has been.

The entire reinforcing member 12 is bent into a substantially “U” shape. Both ends 13 and 13 of the reinforcing member 12 are separated from each other, and the reinforcing member 12 is given an elastic force so that both ends 13 and 13 can be bent inward and outward. When the reinforcing member 12 is in a normal state in which no force is applied to both end portions 13, 13, the distance L2 between the outer surfaces of the both end portions 13, 13 is greater than the inner diameter L 1 of the opening 11 of the bumper reinforcement 10. It is set to be large. As shown by a one-dot chain line A in FIG. 2, the reinforcing member 12 can insert the curved portion 15 of the reinforcing member 12 into the opening 11 when both end portions 13 and 13 are brought close to each other.

Groove portions 14 are formed in the vicinity of both end portions 13 of the reinforcing member 12. Both end portions 13, 13 on the outside of the groove portion 14 come into contact with the edge of the opening portion 11, and serve as a latching portion that prevents the entire reinforcing member 12 from entering the inside of the bumper reinforcement 10. ing.

Further, when the reinforcing member 12 is attached to the bumper reinforcement 10, the plate-like end portions 13 and 13 are oriented so as to be substantially along the horizontal direction, and the inside of the “U” -shaped curved portion 15. Is attached so that a center line passing through (in the direction of the central axis of the semicylindrical shape) extends in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body.

In addition, bolt holes 16, 16 arranged in the vertical direction are opened in a vertical wall portion of the bumper reinforcement 10 on the front and rear sides of the vehicle body and located inside the curved portion 15 of the reinforcing member 12. The reinforcing member 12 cannot be removed by screwing the bolts 16 and 16 through bolts (not shown) into bolt holes 17 provided in the other wall.

In the automobile bumper reinforcement 10 of this embodiment, when the reinforcing member 12 is mounted on the bumper reinforcement 10, the reinforcing member 12 is bent and attached, so that the cost and assembly man-hours are very small. .

The characteristics of the bumper reinforcement 10 of this embodiment will be described in more detail. The entire reinforcing member 12 mounted in the opening 11 at the end of the bumper reinforcement 10 is the same as the both ends 13 and 13 of the reinforcing member 12. The U-shaped central axis (semi-cylindrical central axis) of the curved portion 15 extends in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body so as to be spaced apart wider than the opening 11 of the ten. The posture at the time of attachment of the reinforcing member 12 is determined so that the both end portions 13, 13 extend substantially in the horizontal direction, and the both end portions 13, 13 of the reinforcing member 12 are bent smaller than the opening portion 11 of the bumper reinforcement 10, It is inserted into the opening 11 of the reinforcement 10 and is characterized in that the reinforcing member 12 is attached to the opening 11 of the bumper reinforcement 10 by the elastic force of both end portions 13 and 13. A.

And since both ends 13 and 13 of reinforcing member 12 are bent smaller than opening 11 of bumper reinforcement 10, and reinforcing member 12 is inserted into opening 11 of bumper reinforcement 10, it is formed in both ends of reinforcing member 12. An elastic force is generated to return to the original shape, and the reinforcing member 12 is fixed to the end of the bumper reinforcement 10.

Therefore, the work of welding or bolt fastening is not required for mounting the reinforcing member 12, and the number of parts is reduced, so that the cost can be reduced and the man-hours for assembling can be saved. Further, since the reinforcing member 12 extends in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body, sufficient rigidity is ensured with respect to the load applied from the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body, and even when a load from the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body is input, the bumper reinforcement 10 It is prevented that the edge part of this is easily crushed or deformed.

3 and 4 show the main part of a bumper reinforcement for automobiles according to a second embodiment of the present invention. The bumper reinforcement 20 made of aluminum is formed with three layers of rectangular cylindrical openings 20A, 20B, and 20C. The bumper reinforcement 20 has a partition wall 21 of the rectangular cylindrical openings 20A, 20B, and 20C. Is attached to the front of the automobile so that the rectangular cylindrical openings 20A, 20B, and 20C are stacked in three stages in the vertical direction. A reinforcing member 22 is attached to the upper rectangular tube opening 20A and the lower rectangular tube opening 20C.

As with the reinforcing member 12 shown in FIG. 1, the reinforcing member 22 is generally curved in a “U” shape, and both end portions 23 and 23 of the reinforcing member 22 are formed in a plate shape. . A groove portion 24 is formed in the vicinity of both end portions 23, 23, and an outer end portion of the groove portion 24 serves as a hook portion that is hooked to the edge portion of the opening portions 20A, 20C.

Further, in the vertical wall portion 20V of the bumper reinforcement 20, elongated holes 26 are respectively formed in the formation portion of the upper rectangular tubular opening 20A and the formation portion of the lower rectangular tubular opening 20C. Yes. The long hole 26 is formed so as to be positioned inside the curved portion 28 of the reinforcing member 22, and a bolt 27 is passed through the long hole 26. The reinforcing member 22 is fixed so that it cannot be removed from the square cylindrical openings 20A and 20C by screwing the tip of the bolt 27 into a screw hole (not shown) formed in a portion facing the elongated hole 26.

According to the bumper reinforcement 20, the partition walls 21 of the square cylindrical openings 20A, 20B, and 20C formed in three stages up and down are horizontally directed, and the square cylindrical opening 20A and the square cylindrical opening 20C. Since the reinforcing members 22 are respectively mounted, and the bolts 27 are passed through the inside of the curved portions 28 of the reinforcing members 22 and the bolts 27 are screwed, the bumper reinforcement 20 is applied to the load in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body. The rigidity of the end is improved. In addition, the reinforcing member 22 is attached to each of the square cylindrical opening 20A and the rectangular cylindrical opening 20C, and the bolt 27 is screwed through the inside of the curved portion 28 of the reinforcing member 22, so that the bolt 27 is screwed. There are advantages that the mounting is simple, the number of parts is small, the cost is low, and the number of assembly steps is also small.

5 and 6 show a bumper reinforcement 30 according to a third embodiment of the present application. The bumper reinforcement 30 made of aluminum is formed with two upper and lower square cylindrical openings 30A and 30B, and the partition walls 31 of the rectangular cylindrical openings 30A and 30B are oriented horizontally. A reinforcing member 32 is attached to the upper rectangular tube opening 30A and the lower rectangular tube opening 30B.

The reinforcing member 32 has a configuration in which the reinforcing member 12 shown in FIG. 1 is connected vertically, and the entire reinforcing member 32 is curved in a “W” shape, and the entire reinforcing member 32 is formed in a plate shape. Has been. A folded portion 34 between both end portions 33 and 33 is formed so as to sandwich the partition wall 31. A groove portion 35 is formed in the vicinity of both end portions 33, 33, and an outer end portion of the groove portion 35 is a hooking portion that is hooked to the edge of the openings 30A, 30B.

Holes 36 are formed in the vertical wall portion 30V of the bumper reinforcement 30 in the formation portion of the upper rectangular tubular opening 30A and the formation portion of the lower rectangular tubular opening 30B, respectively. The hole 36 is formed so as to be positioned inside the curved portion 38 of the reinforcing member 32. After the reinforcing member 32 is attached, a bolt (not shown) is passed through the hole 36, and the tip of the bolt is inserted into the other screw hole 37. By screwing, the reinforcing member 32 is fixed to the square cylindrical openings 30A and 30B so as not to drop off.

According to the bumper reinforcement 30, the partition walls 31 of the square cylindrical openings 30A and 30B formed in two upper and lower stages are horizontally directed, and the reinforcing members are provided to the rectangular cylindrical openings 30A and the rectangular cylindrical openings 30B. 32, the folded portion 34 of the reinforcing member 32 sandwiches the partition plate 31, the bolt is passed inside the curved portion 38 of the reinforcing member 32, and the tip of the bolt is screwed into the screw hole 37. Therefore, there is an advantage that the rigidity of the end of the bumper reinforcement 30 is improved with respect to the load from the front-rear direction of the vehicle body, the mounting of the parts is simple, the number of parts is small, the cost is low, and the number of assembly steps is also small.

7 and 8 show a third embodiment of the present invention. The bumper reinforcement 40 has a rectangular tube shape having a rectangular cross section, and is made of iron or stainless steel at the center of the bumper reinforcement 40. A reinforcing member 41 made of metal is fixed. The reinforcing member 41 has a substantially “U” shape, and holds the outer peripheral surface of the bumper reinforcement 40. The reinforcing member 41 includes a pair of holding plate portions 43, 43 on both sides of the curved portion 42 of the bumper reinforcement 40, and the upper surface portion of the bumper reinforcement 40 is between the pair of holding plate portions 43, 43. And it is formed so that a lower-surface part may be hold | maintained. The reinforcing plate portion 41 is molded such that the distance between the pair of holding plate portions 43 and 43 is smaller than the distance between the upper surface portion and the lower surface portion of the bumper reinforcement 40 at the time of molding. When mounting, the holding plate portions 43 and 43 of the reinforcing plate portion 41 are expanded and the bumper reinforcement 40 is inserted. As a result, the reinforcing plate portion 41 is fixed to the central portion of the bumper reinforcement 40. The curved portion 42 at the front portion of the reinforcing plate portion 41 swells to the front side of the vehicle body of the bumper reinforcement 40, and strengthens the elastic force of the holding plate portions 43 and 43.

FIGS. 9A and 9B show a fourth embodiment of the present invention. A reinforcing member 51 is fixed inside the central portion of the rectangular bumper reinforcement 50 having a rectangular cross section. The reinforcing member 51 is made of an iron or stainless steel plate whose both ends are bent into a substantially “U” shape, and has both ends 52, 52 bulging outward. The distance between the end portions 52 and 52 at the time of molding the reinforcing member 51 is determined to be larger than the distance between the upper and lower inner wall surfaces of the bumper reinforcement 50, and the rectangular corners of the bumper reinforcement 50 are narrowed by narrowing the both ends 52 and 52. Insert into the cylinder. Therefore, both end portions 52 and 52 of the reinforcing member 51 are fixed in the bumper reinforcement 50 by reaction force against bending at the time of insertion.

10 (a) and 10 (b), after the reinforcing member 51 is inserted into the bumper reinforcement 50 shown in FIGS. 9 (a) and 9 (b), the pressing cores 54 are inserted from both ends of the bumper reinforcement 50. By inserting, the reinforcing member 51 is positioned at a predetermined position (central portion) of the bumper reinforcement 50. Next, when the bumper reinforcement 50 is placed between the press dies 55 and pressed for a predetermined distance, and the core 54 is removed, both sides of the central portion of the bumper reinforcement 50 are bent so as to recede toward the rear of the vehicle body, and the reinforcing member 51 is fixed to the central portion of the bumper reinforcement 50. A plurality of reinforcing members 51 may be fixed to a predetermined position of the bumper reinforcement 50.
