前記第1の光学的情報記録媒体で反射された光ビームが照射される受光領域が4分割され、4つの受光面を有する第1の受光領域と、
前記第2の光学的情報記録媒体で反射された光ビームが照射される受光領域が4分割され、4つの受光面を有する第2の受光領域と、
前記第1の光学的情報記録媒体で反射された光ビームが照射される受光領域が各々2分割され、各々2つの受光面を有する第3及び第4の受光領域とを備え、
前記第1または前記第2もしくは両方の受光領域から非点収差方式によるフォーカスエラー信号を生成出来る信号を出力し、
または、前記第1または第2もしくは両方の受光領域から各々独立にプッシュプル方式によるトラッキングエラー信号を生成出来る信号を出力し、
または、前記第1または第2もしくは両方の受光領域からディファレンシャルフェーズディテクション方式によるトラッキングエラー信号を生成出来る信号を出力し、
または、前記第3または第4もしくは両方の受光領域から各々独立にプッシュプル方式によるトラッキングエラー信号を生成出来る信号を出力することを特徴とする光検出器。 A light beam emitted from the first, second, or both laser light sources is branched into at least three light beams and irradiated to the first or second optical information recording medium.
