Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a temperature sensor for a casting machine used for directly detecting the temperature of a molten metal and a casting machine using the temperature sensor.
Conventionally, for example, a cylinder head of a motorcycle engine is cast by a low pressure casting method. As a casting machine for low pressure casting, for example, there is one disclosed in Patent Document 1. In the casting machine shown in Patent Document 1, a crucible is arranged below a mold composed of a lower mold and an upper mold, and the molten metal stored in the crucible is pressurized and pushed up through stalk. The structure which supplies to the gate of a lower mold is taken.
In this casting machine, the operation from the start of the molten metal supply to the mold opening is automated in order to improve productivity. That is, in this casting machine, after the start switch is turned ON by the operator, the time for supplying the molten metal (hereinafter, this time is referred to as pressurizing time) based on the temperature of the mold and the temperature of the molten metal is calculated. Then, the molten metal is pressurized and supplied into the mold for this pressing time. The temperature of the mold is detected by a temperature sensor embedded in the mold, and the temperature of the molten metal is detected by a temperature sensor provided in a crucible. The pressurization time is set to a time when the inside of the mold is filled with the molten metal after the pressurization is started, and further, the solidified portion of the molten metal going from the upper part to the lower part of the mold reaches the gate.
In addition, the applicant could not find any prior art documents closely related to the present invention by the time of filing other than the prior art documents specified by the prior art document information described in the present specification. .
Since the conventional casting machine configured as described above cannot detect the temperature of the casting during casting, the pressurization of the molten metal is terminated at an optimum time according to the speed at which the molten metal actually solidifies. Or mold opening was not possible. For this reason, in the conventional casting machine, the pressurization time and solidification time are set to a time with allowance for the safety factor so that the pressurization and solidification of the molten metal do not end in an incomplete state. As a result, the cycle time becomes longer and the productivity is lowered.
Such a problem can be solved if the temperature of the casting can be directly detected by the temperature sensor. However, when manufacturing a temperature sensor that detects the temperature of the casting, the part that contacts the casting is damaged by the heat and pressing force of the molten metal, or is worn or damaged by the casting when the mold is opened or released. We have to avoid the problem of end up.
The present invention has been made to solve such a problem, and provides a temperature sensor for a casting machine that is not damaged by the heat and pressing force of a molten metal and can be easily removed from a casting. The first object is to shorten the cycle time of the casting machine by using this temperature sensor.
In order to achieve these objects, a temperature sensor for a casting machine according to the present invention is formed of a material equivalent to a material of a mold, and a protective metal fitting provided with a taper so as to form a draft at a tip portion thereof, A thermocouple inserted into the protective metal fitting and connected to the tip of the protective metal fitting, and attached to the mold so that the tip of the protective metal metal protrudes into the casting space in the mold.
A temperature sensor for a casting machine according to a second aspect of the present invention is the temperature sensor for a casting machine according to the first aspect of the present invention, wherein the tip of the protective metal fitting is extended from the inner wall surface of the mold along the mold opening direction. It is the one that faces the casting space.
A casting machine according to a third aspect of the present invention is a casting machine in which the molten metal supply stop timing or mold opening timing is controlled based on the temperature detected by the temperature sensor according to the first aspect of the present invention. The temperature sensor is disposed at a site where the molten metal solidifies more slowly than the cavity in the mold, and the front end of the protective metal fitting protrudes from the inner wall surface of the mold into the mold along the mold opening direction. In this invention, a cavity is a part except a gate and a runner etc. among the parts into which the molten metal flows in a metal mold | die, Comprising: It means the recessed part for shape | molding the product part of a casting.
The protective metal fitting for the temperature sensor for a casting machine according to the first and second aspects of the present invention has heat resistance and strength equivalent to those of the mold, and is removed from the casting together with the mold. Therefore, according to the present invention, the casting machine can be easily removed from the casting without being damaged by the heat and pressure of the molten metal and without being worn or damaged by the casting when the mold is opened or released. A temperature sensor can be provided.
According to the third aspect of the present invention, the temperature of the molten metal that solidifies later than the inside of the cavity can be directly detected by the temperature sensor. For this reason, when the temperature of a casting reaches the temperature most suitable for the supply stop and mold opening of a molten metal, supply of a molten metal can be stopped or mold opening can be performed. As a result, the molten metal supply time and the solidification time from the supply stop to the mold opening can be shortened as much as possible within the range that the casting becomes a non-defective product. Can be improved. Moreover, according to this invention, the temperature inside a molten metal can be detected and the protective metal fitting of a temperature sensor can be easily removed from a casting after casting. For this reason, it is possible to accurately detect the temperature of the molten metal while preventing the protective metal fitting from being damaged when the mold is opened or when the casting is released.

Hereinafter, an embodiment of a temperature sensor for a casting machine according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to FIGS.
FIG. 1 is a view showing a mold to which a temperature sensor according to the present invention is attached. FIG. 1 (a) is a longitudinal sectional view, and FIG. 1 (b) is a sectional view taken along line BB in FIG. 2 is an enlarged sectional view showing the temperature sensor mounting portion of the lower mold, FIG. 3 is an enlarged sectional view of the temperature sensor, FIG. 4 is a flowchart for explaining the operation of the casting machine, and FIG. 5 is a runner. It is a graph which shows the temperature change of the molten metal inside.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, a
As shown in FIG. 1B, the

As shown in FIG. 3, the

The casting condition setting unit includes data having casting conditions such as a mold temperature, a molten metal temperature, a pressurizing time, a solidifying time, and a supply speed of the molten metal corresponding to each mold used for casting. Send to mold temperature controller and pressure controller. The casting condition setting device outputs a start signal for causing the pressurization pressure controller to start pressurization of the
Further, the casting condition setting device according to this embodiment can cast a good product even if the function of the
The pressurization time is the time from the start of supplying the
Next, the operation of the above-described casting machine will be described with reference to FIGS. 4 and 5 together with the description of the more detailed configuration of the
In this casting machine, the casting operation is started by, for example, turning on a start switch (not shown) while the mold 1 is clamped. By this switch operation, first, as shown in step S1 of FIG. 4, the casting condition setting unit determines whether or not the current temperature of the mold 1 and the temperature of the
If the result of the determination is YES, the casting condition setter calculates the pressurization time of the
Thereafter, the casting condition setter detects the temperature of the
If it is determined in step S6 that the
When the supply of the
Thereafter, the casting condition setting device sends a mold opening signal to the driving
If the determination result in step S6 is YES, that is, if it is determined that the
When the pressurization of the
Therefore, in the casting machine for low pressure casting constructed as described above, the
For this reason, since the casting machine to which the

(Second Embodiment)
An embodiment in which the present invention is applied to a gravity casting machine will be described in detail with reference to FIGS.
FIG. 6 and FIG. 7 are diagrams showing a mold used in a casting machine for gravity casting. In these drawings, (a) is a horizontal sectional plan view, and (b) is a longitudinal sectional view. FIG. 8 is a flowchart for explaining the operation during casting, and FIG. 9 is a graph showing the temperature change of the molten metal.
A

If the result of the determination is YES, the casting machine supplies the
After supplying the
