よって、本実施形態のパネル接合構造によれば、両パネルの重なり部分を摩擦攪拌溶接するようにしたので、これまでのように高精度な前処理を行わなくても確実に溶接することができ、製作工程を単純にすることができるようになった。また、図1及び図2に示すパネル1,1…は、摩擦攪拌溶接を行うための特別なリブ材を設けることなく、MIG溶接やTIG溶接を行って接合していた従来のパネル構造と同じものを使って摩擦攪拌溶接するようにしたので、その点でコストをかけることなく摩擦攪拌溶接によるパネル接合構造を実現した。そして、連続溶接することなくスポット的に摩擦攪拌溶接するようにしたので、MIG溶接やTIG溶接などに比べて入熱量の少ない摩擦攪拌溶接の入熱量を更に少なくし、歪みを格段に抑えたパネル接合構造とすることができた。   Therefore, according to the panel joint structure of the present embodiment, since the overlapping portion of both panels is friction stir welded, it can be surely welded without performing highly accurate pretreatment as before. 第1面板と第2面板とが山形に配置された斜めの継ぎ部材で連結されてなる中空状の長尺なパネルを、摩擦攪拌溶接を利用して幅方向に接合するパネル接合構造において、
前記パネルは、幅方向両端部の継ぎ部材が同じ方向に傾くようにして前記第1面板と第2面板とがずれたものであって、その幅方向端部の継ぎ部材から幅方向に突き出して形成された突出部を有し、そのパネル同士の突出部を上下に重ねて配置したその重なり部分を摩擦攪拌溶接によって接合するようにしたものであることを特徴とするパネル接合構造。
