Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a technique for guiding a movable body along a guide body, and in particular, a movable body in a state in which direct contact between the movable body and the guide body is prohibited by interposing a liquid between the movable body and the guide body. It is related with the technology to guide. If the guide surface of the guide body of the present invention is flat, the movable body is guided so as to be slidable within the flat surface, the movable body is cylindrical, and if the guide surface is a cylindrical inner surface surrounding it, a circle A columnar movable body (rotating shaft) is rotatably supported.
The mechanical device includes a bearing that rotatably supports a rotating shaft, a linear slider that guides the movable body so that the movable body can move along a straight line, a planar slider that guides the movable body so that the movable body can move in any direction in a plane, In addition, various guide devices such as a thrust bearing for guiding the end face of the rotary shaft so as to be rotatable in a plane are required.
These guide devices are required to have low friction between the movable body and the guide body, and a technology for guiding the movable body in a state where direct contact between the movable body and the guide body is prohibited is awaited.
In order to guide the movable body while prohibiting direct contact between the movable body and the guide body, a static pressure guide technique has been developed. In the static pressure guide technology, a pressurized liquid is fed into the gap between the movable body and the guide body, and the movable body and the guide body are not brought into contact with each other by the pressure. Since the member is not contacted, the member is not worn, the sliding resistance is extremely small, and the positioning resolution of the movable body can be reduced. Also, by increasing the pressure of the liquid, it is possible to increase the restraining force against changes in the gap between the movable body and the guide body, and it is possible to increase the restraining force that maintains the gap at a constant value (increase the rigidity). Can do).
In the static pressure guide technology that maintains the movable body and the guide body in a non-contact state by feeding the pressurized liquid into the gap between the movable body and the guide body, it is necessary to constantly feed the pressurized liquid. A pressurizing means and piping are required, and the entire apparatus becomes large. Issues such as equipment costs and energy costs remain. Further, since pressure means such as a compressor is used, it is inevitable that the pressure of the liquid fed into the gap between the movable body and the guide body pulsates, and the pulsation affects the behavior of the movable body.
In the present invention, the liquid is confined in the gap between the movable body and the guide body by the surface tension of the liquid, and the restraining force against the change in the gap between the movable body and the guide body is obtained by using the contained liquid. According to the present invention, the configuration of the non-contact type guide device can be simplified. Moreover, it is not influenced by the pulsating flow of the liquid pressure.
The guide device of the present invention includes a movable body having a sliding surface and a guide body having a guiding surface facing the sliding surface, and a liquid fills a gap between the sliding surface and the guiding surface.
In one guide device of the present invention, the sum of the contact angle of the filling liquid with respect to the sliding surface and the contact angle of the filling liquid with respect to the guide surface is less than 180 degrees, and the contact angle of the filling liquid with respect to the guide surface is 90 degrees or more. The contact angle of the filling liquid to the adjacent surface adjacent to the sliding surface of the movable body is equal to or greater than the maximum angle formed by the liquid surface extending from the boundary between the sliding surface and the adjacent surface and the extended surface of the adjacent surface. And
In this guide device, the liquid filling the gap between the slide surface and the guide surface is prevented from approaching the guide surface against the external force that tries to bring the slide surface close to the guide surface. Demonstrate the ability to suppress.
The liquid has a surface tension. The internal pressure of the liquid on which the surface tension is acting differs from the atmospheric pressure due to the surface tension. The pressure difference creates a force that suppresses the change in the gap between the sliding surface and the guide surface. The guiding device of the present invention utilizes this principle.
FIG. 1 illustrates an example of a guide device according to the present invention. A
Next, the
Let T be the magnitude of the surface tension of the filling
In the present guide device, the contact angle α and the contact angle β are selected such that the relationship is established as α + β <180 degrees. FIG. 2 shows a state in which the
In the present specification, the contact angle indicates the affinity of a liquid for a solid surface. The angle when the liquid is actually in contact with the solid surface is described as “the angle of contact”, “the angle of contact”, etc., as distinguished from the contact angle. When the solid surface is angular and the liquid level extends from the apex, the “contact angle” and the “contact angle” may differ from the “contact angle”.

If the sum of the contact angle of the liquid with respect to the sliding surface and the contact angle of the liquid with respect to the guide surface is less than 180 degrees, the liquid penetrates into the gap between the slide surface and the guide surface due to surface tension. Fill the gap. If the contact angle of the liquid to the adjacent surface adjacent to the sliding surface of the movable body is equal to or greater than the maximum angle formed by the liquid surface extending from the boundary between the sliding surface and the adjacent surface and the extended surface of the adjacent surface, the liquid It is sealed in the gap between the sliding surface and the guide surface by the tension, and the sliding surface and the guide surface can be maintained in a non-contact state.
P1・d1=P0・d1+Tcos(π−θ1)+Tcos(π−β)
ΔP1=P1−P0=−T・(cosθ1+cosβ)/d1
W=ΔP1・A=−A・T・(cosθ1+cosβ)/d1

As described above, since the guide device of the present invention uses a liquid whose contact angle with respect to the guide surface is 90 degrees or more, the internal pressure of the filling liquid is higher than the pressure of the atmosphere. The differential pressure creates a force that suppresses the sliding surface from approaching the guide surface against an external force that attempts to bring the sliding surface close to the guide surface.

When the gap between the sliding
Since the repulsive force generated by the filling liquid is in a direction perpendicular to the sliding surface and the guide surface, the repulsive force does not prevent the movable body from moving along the guide surface. Further, since the movable body and the guide body are not in direct contact, the frictional resistance is extremely low. Furthermore, since the filling liquid is interposed even when the movable body is stationary, no static friction is generated. You can start moving quietly and stop at the intended position. Excellent positioning resolution.
Using the guide device of the present invention, a rotary bearing, a linear slider, a planar slider, a thrust bearing, or the like can be configured.
In the above, the sliding liquid and the guide surface are not contacted by utilizing the fact that the filling liquid is sealed in the gap between the sliding surface and the guiding surface, and the pressure of the filling liquid is higher than the atmospheric pressure by the surface tension of the filling liquid. Maintain state. On the other hand, the liquid pressure filling the gap between the sliding surface and the guide surface can be suppressed from separating from the guide surface by utilizing the fact that the pressure of the liquid is lower than the atmospheric pressure by the surface tension. By suppressing the separation, the movable body and the guide body can be maintained in a non-contact state.
This type of guide device also includes a movable body having a sliding surface and a guiding body having a guide surface facing the sliding surface, and a liquid fills a gap between the sliding surface and the guide surface. The guide device that keeps both of them in a non-contact state by prohibiting the sliding surface from separating from the guide surface has a sum of the contact angle of the filling liquid to the sliding surface and the contact angle of the filling liquid to the guide surface of 180 degrees. The contact angle of the filling liquid with respect to the guide surface is less than 90 degrees.
In this guide device, the liquid filling the gap between the sliding surface and the sliding surface is separated from the guiding surface against an external force that attempts to separate the sliding surface from the guiding surface. Demonstrate the ability to suppress.
FIG. 6 illustrates an example of a guidance device according to the present invention. A

As shown in FIG. 7, T is the magnitude of the surface tension of the filling
In the present guide device, the contact angle δ and the contact angle ε are selected such that the relationship is established as δ + ε <180 degrees. FIG. 7 shows a state in which the liquid 28 exists only in a part of the gap between the sliding
As shown in FIG. 6, the filling
When the sliding
If the sum of the contact angle of the liquid with respect to the sliding surface and the contact angle of the liquid with respect to the guide surface is less than 180 degrees, the liquid penetrates into the gap between the slide surface and the guide surface due to surface tension. Fill the gap. If the contact angle of the liquid to the adjacent surface adjacent to the sliding surface of the movable body is equal to or greater than the maximum angle formed by the liquid surface extending from the boundary between the sliding surface and the adjacent surface and the extended surface of the adjacent surface, the liquid is adjacent There is no escape to the surface. The liquid continues to fill the gap between the sliding surface and the guide surface, and the sliding surface and the guide surface are prohibited from separating and the non-contact state can be maintained.
ΔP4=P4−P0
=−T・(cosε+cosθ4)/d4
W=−ΔP4・A=A・T・(cosε+cosθ4)/d4

As described above, in the guide device of the present invention, since the liquid contact angle with respect to the guide surface is less than 90 degrees, the internal pressure of the filling liquid is lower than the atmospheric pressure. The differential pressure creates a force that suppresses the sliding surface from separating from the guide surface against an external force that attempts to separate the sliding surface from the guide surface.
As the distance d4 between the sliding

Since the suction force generated by the filling liquid is in a direction perpendicular to the sliding surface and the guide surface, the suction force does not prevent the movable body from moving along the guide surface. Further, since the movable body and the guide body are not in direct contact, the frictional resistance is extremely low. Furthermore, since the filling liquid is interposed even when the movable body is stationary, no static friction is generated. You can start moving quietly and stop at the intended position. Excellent positioning resolution.
Using the guide device of the present invention, a rotary bearing, a linear slider, a planar slider, or a thrust bearing can be configured.
In the guide device of the present invention, the contact angle of the liquid with respect to an adjacent surface adjacent to the sliding surface of the movable body may be 90 degrees or more. Accordingly, the liquid filling the gap between the sliding surface and the guide surface is prevented from seeping out to the adjacent surface, and the liquid is contained in the gap between the sliding surface and the guide surface.
The gap is maintained by the liquid sealed in the gap, and the movable body and the guide body are maintained in a non-contact state. In other words, the movable body is supported by the liquid sealed in the gap so as to be movable along the guide surface.
By using the present invention, various types of guidance devices can be realized.
In one form, a pair of sliding surfaces are formed on the movable body, and a pair of guide surfaces facing the pair of sliding surfaces are formed on the guide body. And a pair of gaps formed between the pair of guide surfaces.
Since the liquid fills the pair of gaps, the opposed sliding surface and guide surface are maintained in a non-contact state. Further, the liquid filling the pair of gaps acts on each of the pair of sliding surfaces with the force described above. The force that the filling liquid acts on each of the pair of sliding surfaces may be a force that repels both, or may be a force that attracts both, or one exerts a suction force and the other rebounds. It may be one that exhibits. The force exerted on the movable body by the pair of liquids balances with the external force, so that the movable body is balanced with the guide surface in a non-contact state. In this guide device, an external force (for example, gravity) that attempts to change the distance between the sliding surface and the guide surface does not have to act on the movable body or the guide body. The force that the filling liquid acts on the pair of sliding surfaces changes so as to resist changes in the distance between the sliding surface and the guide surface. That is, the distance between the pair of sliding surfaces and the guide surface is kept constant. Alternatively, the resultant force of the force that the filling liquid acts on the pair of sliding surfaces may be balanced with the external force that acts on the movable body. Even in this case, the distance between the pair of sliding surfaces and the guide surface is kept constant. That is, the movable body is restrained in a non-contact manner from the pair of guide surfaces via the filling liquid. Since this restraining force is in a direction perpendicular to the sliding surface and the guide surface, it does not hinder the movement along the guide surface of the movable body.
The pair of guide surfaces can take various positional relationships. If they face each other and extend in one direction, a linear slider is formed. If it faces and spreads across the surface, it forms a surface slider. A linear slider can be formed if it is V-shaped when viewed in cross section and extends in one direction. If a plurality of pairs of sliding surfaces face each other in two different directions, a linear slider that restrains the two directions can also be configured.
If the guide apparatus of this invention is utilized, the rotating movable body can be supported rotatably. In this type of non-contact bearing, the movable body has a plurality of sliding surfaces positioned on the circumference, and the guide body extends along a concentric circumference having a larger radius than the circumference. A common guide surface is formed, and a liquid is filled in a gap between each sliding surface and the common guide surface.
Since the liquid fills the gaps between the respective sliding surfaces and the common guide surface, the movable body and the guide body are maintained in a non-contact state. Further, the liquid filling the plurality of gaps acts on the sliding surfaces with the force described above. The force that the liquid acts on each sliding surface may be a repulsive force or a suction force. As the forces acting on the sliding surfaces of the liquid balance, the movable body balances with the common guide surface in a non-contact state. The force that the filling liquid acts on each sliding surface changes so as to resist changes in the distance between each sliding surface and the common guide surface. That is, the distance from the common guide surface is kept constant on each sliding surface. Therefore, the movable body is constrained in a non-contact manner to the common guide surface extending along the circumference. Since this restraining force is in a direction perpendicular to the sliding surface and the guide surface, it does not hinder the rotation of the movable body. In this guide device, the movable body can be constrained to be rotatable along the common guide surface.
The sliding surface may surround the adjacent surface, and the gap between the adjacent surface and the guide surface may be blocked from outside air by the liquid filling the gap between the sliding surface and the guide surface.
In the guide device having the above configuration, the gas can be sealed in the gap between the adjacent surface and the guide surface that are blocked from the outside air by the filling liquid. Even when the sealing gas has a differential pressure within a predetermined range with respect to the atmospheric pressure, the filling liquid can continue to fill the gap between the sliding surface and the guide surface by its surface tension.
By sealing a gas having a differential pressure with the outside air in the gap between the adjacent surface and the guide surface, the sealed gas acts on the movable body and the guide body. When it is difficult to maintain the distance between the sliding surface and the guide surface only with the force acting on the filling liquid, the force acting on the sealing gas can be used together. In other words, the resultant force of the force acting on the filling liquid and the force acting on the sealing gas may be balanced with the force for changing the distance between the sliding surface and the guide surface. The force acting on the filling liquid and the force acting on the sealing gas may be in the same direction or in the opposite direction. This direction indicates whether it is a repulsive force or a suction force.
In this guide device, for example, a movable body whose weight does not float from the guide surface only by the acting force of the filling liquid can be lifted from the guide surface by increasing the pressure of the sealing gas. Furthermore, the flying height can be adjusted by adjusting the pressure of the sealing gas. The pressure of the sealing gas may be changed from the outside by various methods. For example, air may be pumped and sucked by an air pump, or a form using thermal expansion or chemical change of the gas may be used.
In the above guide device, a sliding surface constituting a multiple ring is formed on one surface of the movable body facing the guide surface, and a gap between the adjacent surface formed between the rings and the guide surface is blocked from outside air. The structure which is may be sufficient.
In the guide device having this configuration, the gap between the adjacent surface and the guide surface has a multilayer structure in which the filling liquid is a partition wall with respect to the outside air. With respect to the gap between the adjacent surface and the guide surface constituting the multilayer structure, the pressure gas that is changed stepwise from the external pressure can be sealed in order from the outermost gap. While the differential pressure for each layer is a pressure difference in which the filling liquid continues to fill the gap between the sliding surface and the guide surface, the differential pressure of the sealing gas with respect to the outside air can be increased. By increasing the differential pressure of the sealing gas with respect to the outside air, it is possible to increase the force applied to the movable body and the guide body by the sealing gas.
According to the present invention, the configuration of the non-contact type guide device can be simplified. Moreover, it is not influenced by the pulsating flow of the liquid pressure.

P1−P0=T・(cosθIN−cosθOUT )/d ・・(1);
Pw1−P0=−T・(cosθOUT+cos30°)/d ・・(2);

Pw1−P0 = −T · (cos θ OUT + cos 30 °) / d (2);
