Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a fuel cell system that can be mounted on, for example, a fuel cell vehicle.
As a fuel cell system using a fuel cell, the opening of a pressure regulating valve provided downstream of the capacitor is adjusted based on the pressure of air and fuel gas detected by a pressure sensor provided upstream of the fuel cell. And what controls the operating pressure of a fuel cell is known. This type of fuel cell system is configured such that the recovery of water by the capacitor depends on the operating state by the system control device. Therefore, in this type of fuel cell system, depending on the operating state of the system control device, it is assumed that the amount of water recovered from the condenser to the water tank decreases and water is depleted.
Therefore, in order to cope with such problems, a technique for controlling the operating pressure of the fuel cell system and controlling the operating pressure of the fuel cell system to be equal to or higher than the equilibrium operating pressure is disclosed in, for example, Patent Document 1 below. Has been proposed.
This patent document 1 discloses a reformer that reforms fuel using water from a water tank, a fuel cell that generates power using reformed gas and air from the reformer, and exhaust gas from the fuel cell. A condenser that collects water and a combustor that burns the reformed gas contained in the exhaust gas from the condenser and exchanges heat between the combustion heat and the reformer are provided, and the recovered water from the condenser is returned to the water tank. A fuel cell system to be reused is disclosed.
In particular, in this fuel cell system, the temperature of the exhaust gas discharged from the capacitor is detected by a temperature sensor, and an equilibrium operating pressure at which the water balance is balanced is calculated according to the exhaust gas temperature discharged from the capacitor. On the other hand, in this fuel cell system, the maximum efficiency operating pressure that maximizes the operating efficiency is calculated according to the operating load of the system.
By the way, in the fuel cell system described in Patent Document 1 described above, the water balance is balanced by controlling the pressure of the gas discharged from the air electrode (cathode) in the fuel cell stack. Therefore, when there is a limit on the pressure of each fluid supplied to the fuel cell stack, or when it is necessary to perform differential pressure management control between each fluid, depending on the operating conditions of the fuel cell stack, the pressure from the air electrode The exhaust gas pressure control means may make it impossible to achieve the pressure of the exhaust gas from the air electrode necessary for water recovery.
Further, in this fuel cell system, when the water recovery rate is not sufficiently high with respect to the water decrease rate, the water tank could not be quickly stored and the water could be depleted. .
Therefore, the present invention has been proposed in view of the above-described circumstances, and even when there is a restriction on the operation condition regarding pressure control, the required amount of water can be reliably and quickly responded flexibly to the operation condition. A fuel cell system that can be recovered is provided.
In the present invention, the operating pressure or operating temperature of the fuel cell system is changed based on the amount of water stored in the water storage means for storing the water supplied to the fuel cell stack, and the water in the fuel cell is condensed and recovered to the water storage means. Start water recovery operation. In the present invention, the above-described problem is solved by determining the operating pressure or operating temperature of the fuel cell system in the water recovery operation that minimizes the elapsed time until the transition from the normal operation to the water recovery operation. To do.
According to the fuel cell system of the present invention, the water pressure recovery operation is performed in which the operating pressure or the operating temperature of the fuel cell system is changed to recover the excess water condensed from the water that has passed through the fuel cell to the water storage means. As a result, even if there is a restriction on the operating pressure or operating temperature as the operating condition of the fuel cell system, it is possible to perform the water recovery operation flexibly corresponding to the operating condition.
Further, according to the fuel cell system according to the present invention, in the process of transition from the normal operation to the water recovery operation, by calculating the operation pressure or the operation temperature in the water recovery operation that minimizes this elapsed time, Since water recovery of the fuel cell system can be performed in the shortest possible time, it is possible to reduce the time risk of fuel cell system performance degradation due to insufficient water supply, and to achieve rapid normal recovery of the fuel cell system Can do.
Hereinafter, specific embodiments to which the present invention is applied will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
In this embodiment, for example, a fuel that is mounted on a fuel cell vehicle and generates a driving torque for traveling the vehicle by supplying power to a drive motor mounted as a load or an auxiliary machine that generates power from the fuel cell stack. Next, in the fuel cell system configured as described above, the processing procedure of the water recovery process in which the

Then, in step S4, the
Note that the map data as shown in FIG. 3 is created based on the characteristic that the condensed water that condenses inside the fuel cell stack 1 increases as the fuel cell system goes into a high load operation. That is, this characteristic is due to the fact that the fuel cell system needs to be operated at a higher pressure as the operation becomes higher, and the amount of saturated water vapor becomes smaller and the condensed water increases even at the same operating temperature. Has been created.

In step S6, the
Here, when the
On the other hand, if the
In step S8, the
The map data shown in FIG. 4 is created based on the characteristic that the water generated by the power generation of the fuel cell stack 1 can be condensed by changing the cathode offgas pressure and the cathode offgas temperature. The correlation between the cathode offgas pressure and the cathode offgas temperature for generating the amount of water collected per unit time according to the water recovery rate is shown.
Then, in step S11, the
Note that the
Here, in the fuel cell system, since the required air amount is determined by the amount of power generated in the fuel cell stack 1, the air flow rate to be supplied to the fuel cell stack 1 is less than the flow rate determined by the operating load. It cannot be made smaller. Therefore, in the fuel cell system, in order to increase the operation efficiency of the fuel cell system for each operation load, it is necessary to reduce the discharge pressure of the
Then, when the
Next, the
Next, the
Here, when it is determined that the water level value detected by the water level sensor 57 is not greater than the high water level value of the
Through such a series of controls, the fuel cell system can condense the water generated by the power generation of the fuel cell stack 1 and collect a necessary amount of water into the
[Effect of the first embodiment]
As described above in detail, according to the fuel cell system according to the first embodiment to which the present invention is applied, the operating pressure and operating temperature of the fuel cell system are set based on the detected water level (water amount) of the
Then, according to this fuel cell system, in the process of transition from the normal operation to the water recovery operation, the operation pressure and the operation temperature in the water recovery operation that minimize the elapsed time are calculated, so that the water recovery is minimized. Since it can be performed in time, it is possible to reduce the performance degradation of the fuel cell system due to insufficient water supply, and it is possible to realize rapid normal recovery of the fuel cell system.
Further, according to this fuel cell system, based on the water level (water amount) detected by the water level sensor 57, such as starting the water recovery operation when the detected water level (water amount) is smaller than a predetermined value, By determining whether or not the water recovery operation is necessary, it becomes possible to recover the water according to the amount of remaining water in the
Further, according to this fuel cell system, when performing the water recovery operation, the water recovery rate is calculated according to the operation load of the fuel cell system, so that a larger amount of water recovery can be achieved as the operation becomes higher. It can be realized. Therefore, according to the fuel cell system, it is possible to perform water recovery so as to restore the water level of the
Furthermore, according to the fuel cell system, the amount of water contained in the cathode off-gas discharged from the fuel cell stack 1 is calculated, and the amount of water contained in the cathode off-off gas is larger than the amount of water corresponding to the water recovery rate. If it is not large, a warning notification or fuel cell system shutdown process is performed, so if a predetermined amount of water cannot be recovered by the water recovery operation, a malfunction notification of the fuel cell system or a shutdown of the fuel cell system, Alternatively, both of these processes can be performed, so that it is possible to prevent a secondary malfunction of the fuel cell system due to a lack of water supply, and to appropriately notify the driver of the necessity of dealing with the malfunction. Can do.
Furthermore, according to this fuel cell system, the pressure of the cathode offgas is monitored, and the rotation speed of the
[Second Embodiment]
Next, a fuel cell system according to a second embodiment to which the present invention is applied will be described. The fuel cell system according to the second embodiment has the same configuration as that shown in FIG. Therefore, in the description of the second embodiment, the same reference numerals and the same step numbers are assigned to the same parts as those in the above-described embodiment, and the detailed description thereof is omitted.
In the fuel cell system according to the second embodiment, in the water recovery process, as a condition for starting the water recovery operation, not the water level of the
In the fuel cell system according to the second embodiment, when the water stored in the
First, as shown in FIG. 5, the
Subsequently, in step S22, the
Here, when the
Since the increase / decrease rate calculated in step S21 is negative in step S23, the
Thereafter, the
By performing such a series of processes, the fuel cell system sets the change amount per unit time of the water amount of the
[Effects of Second Embodiment]
As described above in detail, according to the fuel cell system of the second embodiment, the amount of change per unit time of the water level (water amount) of the
Further, according to this fuel cell system, water is collected while controlling the amount of water in the
