BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a transmission / reception bar antenna that can be used mainly in a medium / short wave band.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Non-patent document 1 discloses, for example, a known bar antenna, that is, an antenna configured to resonate at a target frequency by combining a coil wound around a ferrite bar and a capacitor. As far as the inventor knows, these bar antennas are all dedicated to reception. In the bar antenna disclosed in Non-Patent Document 1, four ferrite bars are bundled by bonding to form a ferrite bar group, and a coil is formed by winding a coated single wire around the ferrite bar group.
[0003]
[Non-Patent Document 1]
THE ARRL ANTENNA BOOK 19th Edition (issued in August 2000)
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The main reason that bar antennas are used, although only for reception, is that they are much smaller than other types of antennas. The small size means that the area required for the installation can be reduced, so that it can be installed with only a small space regardless of the installation location, which is very convenient. On the other hand, various improvements have been made to enable such a bar antenna to be used for transmission. This is due to poor antenna efficiency. As long as it is for reception, the poor antenna efficiency can be compensated to some extent by the gain of the receiver. However, when it is used for transmission, a large transmission power is required to compensate for the poor antenna efficiency. However, supplying large power to a small bar antenna is not practical. For example, a person using the medium and short wave band, such as an amateur radio house, must install it in a limited space in most cases at home or at a destination. It is an object of the present invention to provide a small antenna for transmission / reception that can be installed in the antenna. That is, the problem to be solved by the present invention is to configure the bar antenna so that it can be used not only for reception but also for transmission while taking advantage of its small size. (Abbreviated as “bar antenna” as appropriate).
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to transmit without supplying a large amount of power, it is necessary to improve the antenna efficiency of the bar antenna. As a main technique for this purpose, it is known that the radiation resistance value of the antenna is increased and the loss resistance value is decreased. It has been. As a result of extensive research, the inventor has realized the method from various viewpoints. The details will be explained anew in the section. It should be noted that the definitions of terms used to describe the invention according to any claim shall be applied to the invention according to other claims as long as possible in nature.
[0006]
(Characteristics of the invention of claim 1)
According to a first aspect of the present invention, a bar antenna includes a ferrite bar group formed by bundling a plurality of ferrite bars, a resonance coil wound around the outer periphery of the ferrite bar group, and a variable capacitor connected in parallel to the resonance coil. And a power supply coil wound around the outer periphery of the ferrite bar group, and at least the resonance coil is configured by a collective binding wire formed by bundling a plurality of coated strands. The collective binding wire used for the resonance coil may constitute the feeding coil using the same collective binding wire. The variable capacitor may include another variable capacitor or a fixed capacitor connected in parallel. The transmission / reception bar antenna according to claim 1 is suitable for a medium / short wave whose wavelength is relatively long, that is, for which a relatively large antenna is required. Alternatively, it can be used in a higher frequency band.
[0007]
According to the bar antenna of the first aspect, since the resonance coil is constituted by the collective binding wire, the conductor resistance value is smaller than that of the coil constituted by the single wire. That is, the collective bundling wire has a smaller loss due to the skin effect than the single wire, and this suppresses the conductor resistance value low. If the conductor resistance value, which is a part of the loss resistance, is low, the antenna efficiency is improved as compared with the same resonance coil that is constituted by a single wire. Therefore, the bar antenna can be used for both transmission and reception.
[0008]
(Characteristics of the invention described in claim 2)
A bar antenna according to a second aspect of the present invention is the bar antenna according to the first aspect, wherein a diameter of the ferrite bar is set in a range of 5 to 20 mm, and the ferrite bar group includes 4 to 15 bars. The ferrite bar is configured. The length of each ferrite bar may be appropriately set in consideration of the length of the resonance coil and the like. Further, a plurality of bundled ferrite bars arranged in the length direction with a plurality of bundled ferrite bars separately correspond to the above ferrite bar group.
[0009]
The function and effect of the bar antenna according to claim 1 can be produced, for example, with the configuration of the bar antenna according to claim 2 described above. Although not intended to be limited to the above-described configuration, according to the inventor's experiment, it was possible to improve the antenna efficiency when the above range and the above number were used. It can be presumed that this is because the value of the equivalent parallel resistance is increased by adopting the above configuration, and this is the result of increasing the radiation resistance.
[0010]
(Characteristics of Claim 3)
A bar antenna according to a third aspect of the present invention is the bar antenna according to the first or second aspect, wherein a diameter of the coated wire is set in a range of 0.03 to 0.15 mm, and the assembly The binding wire is composed of 60 to 2000 covered strands.
[0011]
The operational effects of the bar antenna according to claim 1 or 2 can be caused by, for example, the configuration of the bar antenna according to
[0012]
(Feature of the invention of claim 4)
A bar antenna according to a fourth aspect of the present invention is the bar antenna according to any one of the first to third aspects, wherein the bar antenna is configured to be able to transmit and receive in a medium and short wave band, and the maximum capacity of the variable capacitor is set to 25 pF. It is.
[0013]
The function and effect of the bar antenna according to any one of claims 1 to 3 can be caused by, for example, the configuration of the bar antenna according to claim 4 described above. Although not intended to be limited to the above-described configuration, according to the inventors' experiment, a particularly preferable result can be obtained when the capacitance is set in the frequency band. Generally, the value of the capacitor when resonating the parallel resonant circuit in the medium and short wave band is set to 100 to 400 pF. This is because even if the coil is the same coil, the inductance is greatly changed due to the influence of adjacent members (for example, a substrate or a metal case), which makes it difficult to adjust the resonance frequency. This is because there is no such inconvenience and adjustment can be made easily. However, in the bar antenna of claim 4, in order to increase the value of the equivalent parallel resistance, the value of the capacitor is set as small as possible and the inductance of the coil is set large. On the other hand, it is necessary to take into account the balance with the value necessary for adjusting the resonance frequency. From this point of view, 25 pF, which is 1/4 of 100 pF, which is a minimum value of a general value, is set as the maximum value. It is necessary to increase the number of turns of the resonance coil in order to resonate in the same frequency band as the value of the variable capacitor is reduced, but the radiation efficiency is reduced because the conductor loss of the resonance coil is kept small by using a bundled wire. Will not be reduced.
[0014]
(Feature of the invention of claim 5)
A bar antenna according to a fifth aspect of the present invention is the bar antenna according to any one of the first to fourth aspects, wherein the variable capacitor is opposed to the first electrode having a first opposed surface and the first opposed surface. A second electrode having a second opposing surface, and a variable structure that makes the opposing area of the second opposing surface variable with respect to the first opposing surface, wherein the first electrode has a first insulating opposing surface. The second insulator is sealed with a first insulator, and the second electrode is sealed with a second insulator having a second insulating facing surface. The variable principle of the variable structure includes, for example, one that rotates the first electrode with respect to the second electrode and one that slides in the horizontal direction.
[0015]
According to the bar antenna of the fifth aspect, the bar antenna according to the first to fourth aspects, in particular, can transmit a larger high frequency power efficiently. That is, since the parallel resonance circuit including the resonance coil and the variable capacitor has high impedance at the transmission frequency, a high voltage is applied between both ends of the variable capacitor at the time of transmission, that is, between the first electrode and the second electrode. The For this reason, a high withstand voltage is required for the variable capacitor. Even if a general variable capacitor is large, discharge starts between electrodes at about several kV, but some vacuum capacitors can withstand about 20 kV. However, the vacuum capacitor generally has to be large in size because of its structure, and is not necessarily suitable for a bar antenna aiming at miniaturization. Therefore, a variable capacitor having the above-described configuration has realized a breakdown voltage equal to or higher than that of a vacuum capacitor with a small and simple structure. That is, in the above-described variable capacitor, the first electrode is sealed by the first insulator and the second electrode is sealed by the second insulator by the second insulator. In comparison, the air discharge (dielectric breakdown) starting voltage can be increased.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Next, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a bar antenna. FIG. 2 is an equivalent circuit of the bar antenna shown in FIG. 3 is an XX cross-sectional view of the bar antenna shown in FIG. 4 is a ZZ cross-sectional view of the collective binding line shown in FIG. (Experimental result)
The result of the communication experiment of the bar antenna resonated in the 7 MHz band will be described with reference to Table 1 below. The examination of the experimental results is performed in the order of the experiment numbers attached to the left end of Table 1. The evaluation was performed in 6 stages from A to F, and A was the highest level, and C level or higher could be used for transmission / reception. Specifically, the level that can normally communicate with the station that can be heard in the telephone mode is A, the station that has a strong signal strength, the level that can communicate with the station that has high reception capability in the telephone mode is B, and the station that can be heard is the communication mode. The level that can be normally communicated in (communication mode using Morse code) is C. Further, D is a level at which communication is possible only with a station having a strong signal strength and a station with high reception capability in the communication mode, E is a level at which communication is finally established, and F is a case where communication is impossible. In this experiment, the C level or higher is set to the usable level because it is intended for the 7 MHz band for amateur radio, and the purpose of the amateur radio is to communicate with an unspecified number of other parties. It is out of the question because I thought it would be meaningless if I could communicate normally in at least telegraph mode if I could hear it. For amateur radio use, business radio use, and the like, for example, if the purpose is to communicate with a specific partner who always has high signal strength and high reception capability, D can be set to a usable level.

(Experiment 2)
In Experiment 2, a variable capacitor having a smaller capacity than that of Experiment 1 and having a high withstand voltage was used. Specifically, a 150 pF rotary tight variable capacitor having a withstand voltage of 1 kV was used. In order to resonate in the 7 MHz band, the number of turns of the coil was increased by reducing the capacitance. Since the length of the ferrite bar is the same as in Experiment 1, a 2-square mm polyethylene-coated wire that is thinner than the vinyl-coated wire used in Experiment 1 is used to wind a larger number of turns on the same length of ferrite bar. It was used. The reason why the polyethylene-coated wire is used instead of the vinyl-coated wire is to reduce the dielectric loss of the coating material. The number of turns of the resonance coil was 15, and the number of turns of the power feeding coil was 14. Communication was attempted by inserting a +10 dB preamplifier into the bar antenna according to Experiment 2, but communication with any station was not possible and the level was F. Since the variable capacitor had a withstand voltage of 1 kV, it was discharged when the transmission output exceeded 40 W.

(Comprehensive evaluation of the experiment)
As is clear from the results of Experiments 1 to 7 described above, the possibility of communication through an increase in transmission output can be seen by increasing the withstand voltage of the variable capacitor. Furthermore, by changing the variable capacitor from a rotary type to a slide type, or by changing from a vinyl-coated wire to a collective binding wire, even if the same collective binding wire is used, the covering element constituting the same Each increase in the number of lines confirmed further improvement in communication possibility.

(Effects specific to the embodiment)
As can be seen from the above description, the usable bar antennas are those according to the above-described
[0038]
【The invention's effect】
According to the bar antenna of the present invention, the bar antenna can be sufficiently used not only for reception but also for transmission while taking advantage of its small size.
