Abstract
Description
【0001】

[0006]
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems of the prior art. The left and right images are fused when convergence is achieved while deflecting the optical axes of the left and right optical systems to reduce the burden on the operator. It is an object of the present invention to provide a binocular magnifying glass that can be used, in particular, a real image type binocular magnifying glass, an adjustment method thereof, and a prism used in the real image type binocular magnifying glass.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
A real image binocular magnifier according to the present invention includes an objective lens having a positive power and an eyepiece lens having a positive power, and a magnifying optical system for magnifying and observing an object, an objective lens, and an eyepiece lens. A pair of magnifying mirrors arranged for the left eye and for the right eye, which are arranged between the lens and the reflecting optical deflecting means for deflecting the optical path of the magnifying optical system to one side and erecting the image. The deflecting means includes first, second, third, and fourth reflecting surfaces that reflect the light beam incident through the objective lens, and the intersecting line of the first and fourth reflecting surfaces (or the extended surfaces thereof) is calculated. When the intersecting line of the second and third reflecting surfaces (or their extended surfaces) intersects the virtual plane as a line at an angle ψ [°] (ψ ≠ 0) and the object distance is infinite at the first eye position the axis coincident to the left and right visual axis is assumed X L, and X R are the left and right expansion of An axis perpendicularly intersects the X L and X R axis position of the deflection means of the mirror is Z, and Y L axis perpendicular to X L and Z-axis, an axis perpendicular to the X R and Z-axis and Y R , X L , X R as the rotation axis is γ rotation, and Y L , Y R as the rotation axis is β rotation. When the rotation angle is γ [°] and the β rotation angle is β [°], the following condition (1) is satisfied.
However,
θ: Deflection angle [°] of the optical axis of the magnifying glass.
[0008]
The first eye position refers to the relative position of the eye with respect to the head when gazing at a straight object in front of the eye (Japanese Industrial Standard T7330 / 5.31). Since the two visual axes are parallel when the object distance is infinite, the axes X L and X R are parallel axes that respectively pass through the center of the line of the left and right eyes and extend horizontally straight forward from the wearer. .
[0009]
According to the above configuration, the optical axis of the optical system and the axis connecting the object to the eye (visual axis) are matched by β rotation, the convergence is adjusted by γ rotation, and the image collapse caused by these adjustments is prevented. Correction can be made by appropriately setting the angle ψ. Note that the image tilt caused by the γ rotation can be corrected by the β rotation. However, if the β rotation is used for correcting the image tilt, the optical axis deviates from the visual axis. The part outside the lens axis will be used. Therefore, there is a problem that the performance of the optical system is inferior to the case of using the axial part. Therefore, in the present invention, the intersecting line of the second and third reflecting surfaces is at an angle ψ [°] (ψ ≠ 0) with respect to the virtual plane whose normal is the intersecting line of the first and fourth reflecting surfaces of the deflecting means. In this way, the tilt of the image is mainly corrected. Therefore, β rotation can be used to match the optical axis with the visual axis. Thereby, the object can be observed using the axial part of the optical system, and the convergence can be adjusted without deteriorating the image performance and preventing the image from falling down.
[0010]
In order to realize comfortable binocular vision, it is desirable that the diopter of the magnifying optical system is ξ [D], and the β rotation angle β [°] satisfies the following condition (2).
[0011]
The positional relationship between the first to fourth reflecting surfaces of the deflecting means may be fixed to each other from the beginning (for example, the angle ψ is also fixed) as in an integrated prism, for example, but the first and fourth reflecting surfaces are configured integrally. The first block and the second block in which the second and third reflecting surfaces are integrally formed, and the angle ψ may be arbitrarily set to join the first block and the second block. . If the angle ψ can be adjusted, the angle ψ differs even when the object distance is greatly different, when the magnification is changed by changing the objective / eyepiece lens, or when a plurality of users having different eye widths are used. It is not necessary to prepare a plurality of deflection means.
[0012]
Each reflecting surface of the deflecting means may be constituted by a mirror or may be constituted by utilizing internal reflection of the prism. When a prism is used, the second and third reflecting surfaces can be configured as roof surfaces.
[0013]
The real image binocular magnifying glass adjustment method according to the present invention provides a method for adjusting each magnifying glass included in the real image binocular magnifying glass with respect to a virtual plane whose normal is the intersection of the first and fourth reflecting surfaces. 2. The angle of intersection of the third reflecting surfaces is ψ [°], the angle of γ rotation with respect to the state where the optical axes of the objective lens are parallel to each other is γ [°], and the angle of β rotation is β [° ] Is adjusted to satisfy the following condition (1).
Desirably, the following condition (1) ′ is preferably satisfied.
The limit value ± 0.33 of the condition (1) ′ is a value obtained by equally dividing the image tilt left / right difference
[0014]
Furthermore, the real image type binocular magnifying prism according to the present invention is an integrated prism having first, second, third, and fourth reflecting surfaces for internally reflecting an incident light beam. The intersecting line of the second and third reflecting surfaces intersects an imaginary plane whose normal is the intersecting line of the surfaces at an angle ψ [°] (ψ ≠ 0).

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Embodiments of a real image type binocular magnifier according to the present invention will be described below. FIG. 1 is a front view of a real-image binocular magnifier according to the first embodiment, FIG. 2 is a top view of the real-image binocular magnifier, and FIG. 3 is a detailed configuration of one magnifier constituting the real-image binocular magnifier. The axes corresponding to the left and right visual axes assumed when the object distance is infinite at the first eye position are defined as axes X L and X R , respectively. The axis X L passes through the rotation center CL of the left eye EL, the axis X R is parallel to the center of rotation CR through axis X L of the right eye ER. An axis perpendicularly intersects the X L and X R axis position of the roof prism of the left and right magnifying glass and Z, X L and Z axis perpendicular axis Y L, an axis perpendicular to X R and Z axis Y R And The rotation of the magnifying mirrors 10a and 10b with the axes X L and X R as the rotation axes is γ rotation, and the rotation of the magnifying mirrors 10a and 10b with the axes Y L and Y R as the rotation axes is β rotation. For the γ rotation, the clockwise direction is positive with respect to the eye, the counterclockwise direction is negative, and for the β rotation, the clockwise direction as viewed from above is positive, and the counterclockwise direction is negative.
[0024]
The real-
[0025]
Image tilt occurs both by β rotation and by γ rotation. With reference to a state where the object distance is infinite (a state where the image is not tilted at a convergence angle of 0 °), the image tilt amount ε (γ) due to γ rotation and the image tilt amount ε (β) due to β rotation are: Are obtained by the following equations.
[0026]
FIG. 7 is a graph showing how image tilt amounts ε (γ) and ε (β) generated after adjusting the convergence by either γ rotation or β rotation change depending on the deflection angle θ. γ and β indicate rotation angles necessary for convergence adjustment. Here, it is assumed that the object distance WD = 500 mm, the eye width P = 64 mm, and the magnification (angular magnification) m = 2.5 of the magnifier. As shown in the graph of FIG. 7, the values of tilt ε (γ) and ε (β) are 0.5 ° or more when γ rotation adjustment is θ> 15 ° and β rotation adjustment is θ> 5 °. . Since the values of ε (γ) and ε (β) are values for only one eye, the relative difference is doubled when the other magnifier is adjusted in the opposite direction. In other words, when this value is 0.5 ° or more, the relative difference exceeds 1 °, and it becomes difficult to fuse the left and right images, or even if they are fused, the eye is burdened with great fatigue.
[0027]
Therefore, in the first embodiment, the tilt of the image is corrected by appropriately setting the angle ψ between the intersection line L23 of the
[0028]
When the angle of γ rotation of the magnifying glass for the left eye and right eye is ± γ ° and the angle of β rotation is ± β °, the relationship 2ψ− {ε (γ) + ε (β)} = 0 If satisfied, it is possible to completely correct the fall of the image. However, the range of ± 0.5 ° is set in view of the fact that some deviation occurs due to assembly errors, etc., and that the tilt of the image is not necessarily completely corrected due to the applied force of the eyes. ing.
[0029]
By satisfying this conditional expression (1), it is possible to fuse the left and right images while suppressing the relative tilt of the image to 1 ° or less. On the other hand, when the conditional expression (1) is not satisfied, it is difficult to fuse the left and right images.
[0030]
Even in the case of ψ = 0 °, it is possible to cancel the image tilt due to the γ rotation and the image tilt due to the β rotation. However, if β rotation is used to correct image tilt due to γ rotation, the optical axis and visual axis of the optical system cannot be matched. On the other hand, if the tilt of the image is corrected by setting the angle ψ as described above, it is not necessary to use the β rotation to correct the tilt of the image, and the optical axis of the optical system matches the visual axis. In this state, it is possible to correct image tilt.
[0031]
On the other hand, in order to realize comfortable binocular vision, it is necessary that the diopter of the magnifying optical system is ξ [D], and the β rotation angle β [°] satisfies the following condition (2).
[0032]
In order to enable binocular vision, the balance between eye accommodation and convergence must be within a predetermined range. This will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 8 is a graph showing the relationship between the adjustment and the congestion created with reference to FIG. 2-16 published on page 66 of “Glasses Optical Handbook” (Kanehara Publishing). Binocular vision is possible when the balance between adjustment and convergence is included in the leaf-shaped region E of the tree indicated by the relative adjustment convergence curve (thick solid line) in the graph of FIG. 8, and in particular, the
[0033]
The diopter ξ (≈eye adjustment) of the optical system is defined based on a person with normal vision. For those who need correction, the diopter of the optical system is defined with the corrected visual acuity as a reference (zero). In addition, the formula is configured with the eye width as an average value of 64 mm.
[0034]
Next, adjustment of the eye width will be described. Since the eye width varies from person to person, when using a binocular magnifier, it is necessary to make adjustments according to the eye width of the user. For the eye width adjustment, it is preferable to use γ rotation with less image tilt than β rotation. Specifically, first, β, γ, and ψ are set so that there is no image collapse at an average eye width (64 mm). Next, γ rotation is adjusted according to individual differences in eye width (usually in the range of ± 6 mm). The convergence adjustment amount Zγ on the object plane due to the γ rotation is expressed by the following equation (3).
[0035]
The maximum amount of image tilt that occurs as a result of eye width adjustment by γ rotation is obtained by substituting Zγ (= 6 mm), object distance WD, and deflection angle θ into equation (3), and obtaining equation (1-1). It is obtained by substituting. FIG. 9 is a graph showing image tilt as a function of the object distance WD that occurs with respect to a 6 mm eye width adjustment when the deflection angle θ is 30 °, 45 °, and 60 °. From this graph, it can be seen that the larger the deflection angle θ and the smaller the object distance WD, the larger the image collapse.
[0036]
If the image is not tilted with respect to the average eye width (for example, 64 mm) before the eye width adjustment, the image tilt caused by the eye width adjustment by γ rotation is about WD = 500 mm when θ = 60 °. As described above, when θ = 45 °, WD = 250 mm or more, and when θ = 30 °, WD = 200 mm or more, it becomes 0.3 ° or less, which does not hinder the fusion of the left and right images.

As in the first embodiment, when the

The adjustment method of the binocular magnifier of the second embodiment is the same as that described in the first embodiment. The optical axis of the optical system and the visual axis are matched by β rotation, and the convergence is adjusted by γ rotation. Then, the tilt of the image occurring at that time is corrected by setting the angle ψ. Further, the angle ψ can be arbitrarily adjusted by rotating the second and third mirrors with respect to the first and fourth mirrors.
[0045]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, when each magnifier is rotated β in the opposite direction to match the optical axis of the optical system with the visual axis, and the convergence is adjusted by rotating γ, Since the tilt of the image caused by the rotation can be corrected by setting the angle ψ of the deflecting means, even if the optical path of the binocular magnifier is deflected halfway, , Congestion can be adjusted appropriately.
