【0048】

The present invention relates to a recording apparatus.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, CTP (Computer To Plate) has been performed in which a computer creates a digital image and directly records an image on a printing plate. As an image recording apparatus used in such a CTP or the like, an image recording apparatus that records an image by performing laser light exposure according to a digital image signal while holding a photosensitive material on the outer peripheral surface of a rotating drum is known. (For example, see Patent Document 1).

[0005]
In the image recording apparatus as described above, it is necessary to adjust the light quantity of the light source (semiconductor laser) in order to always record an image with a constant quality.
In performing the light amount adjustment, when there are a plurality of semiconductor lasers, each semiconductor laser is sequentially turned on one by one, and the light amount of the light beam is detected by one element arranged at a location corresponding to the drum surface, The result is fed back, and the laser light quantity is adjusted in order.
[0006]
At that time, as a method of detecting the abnormality of the semiconductor laser, for example, the magnitude of the current required for the laser light amount to be a predetermined magnitude is monitored, and the initial value and the latest value are compared, There is a method of determining whether or not the ratio of the deviation amount exceeds a predetermined range (for example, see Patent Document 2).
In many cases, it has been determined that the semiconductor laser has reached the end of its life when, for example, the current value becomes 1.2 times the initial value of use.

In addition, when semiconductor lasers having a waveform as shown in FIG. 13 are mixed in a plurality of light sources, for example, if an image that is repeatedly turned on and off for each pixel is recorded, the recording light amount is reduced by that channel. For this reason, there is a problem that streaks appear on the output image as a result, or if it is repeated periodically, the image is viewed as unevenness when viewed macroscopically.
[0010]
Therefore, when such a phenomenon is visually recognized on the output image, it is necessary to replace the semiconductor laser. However, in order to find out which semiconductor laser is actually abnormal, it is necessary to once output an image of the determination pattern and visually confirm the result. For this purpose, a special printing plate is used, and there is a problem that the operator is required to have a skill for discriminating an abnormal semiconductor laser channel based on the output image.
[0011]
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described conventional problems, and an abnormal semiconductor laser, in particular, a semiconductor laser that rises when pulsed is turned off, is output by observing a judgment pattern image, It is an object of the present invention to provide a semiconductor laser abnormality determination method and apparatus and an image recording apparatus which can be easily determined without requiring special skills.
[0012]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above problems, a first aspect of the present invention is a semiconductor laser in an image recording apparatus that scans and exposes a recording medium wound around an outer peripheral surface of a rotating drum with a laser beam emitted from a fiber-coupled semiconductor laser. The semiconductor laser is turned on continuously for a sufficiently long time to detect the laser light quantity on the recording surface of the recording medium, and the detected laser light quantity is fed back to adjust the light quantity of the semiconductor laser. The semiconductor laser drive current is determined, the semiconductor laser is turned on by a predetermined pattern signal with the drive current determined by the light amount adjustment, the average light amount of the laser light amount on the recording surface at that time is measured, and the continuous When the amount of laser light when turned on is compared with the average amount of light, and the ratio of the difference exceeds a predetermined range It said semiconductor laser is a semiconductor laser of the abnormality determination method characterized by determining that there is an abnormality.
[0013]

An apparatus for determining an abnormality of a semiconductor laser in an apparatus, wherein the semiconductor laser is turned on continuously for a sufficiently long time, a laser light amount on a recording surface of the recording medium is detected, and the detected laser light amount is fed back to Adjust the light amount, determine the drive current of the semiconductor laser, turn on the semiconductor laser with a predetermined pattern signal with the drive current determined by the light amount adjustment, and instantaneously the laser light amount on the recording surface at a predetermined time Measure the value, compare the amount of laser light when the light is continuously lit, and the instantaneous value, the ratio of the difference is If it exceeds the range of the constant, the semiconductor laser is provided an abnormality determination method for a semiconductor laser, characterized in that determined to be abnormal.
[0014]
Similarly, in order to solve the above-described problem, a third aspect of the present invention is an image recording in which a recording medium wound around the outer peripheral surface of a rotating drum is scanned and exposed with a laser beam emitted from a fiber-coupled semiconductor laser. A semiconductor laser anomaly discriminating apparatus for discriminating an anomaly of a semiconductor laser in an apparatus, a photodetector for detecting a laser light amount on a recording surface of the recording medium of a laser beam emitted from the semiconductor laser, and the detected laser light amount Means for adjusting the amount of light of the semiconductor laser, and determining the drive current of the semiconductor laser, and an average on the recording surface of the semiconductor laser lit by a predetermined pattern signal with the determined drive current Means for measuring the amount of light and the semiconductor laser is continuously turned on for a sufficiently long time and detected by the photodetector. A semiconductor laser comprising: a means for comparing the laser light quantity measured with the average light quantity and determining that the semiconductor laser is abnormal when the difference ratio exceeds a predetermined range. An abnormality determination device is provided.
[0015]
Similarly, in order to solve the above-described problem, the fourth aspect of the present invention is an image recording in which a recording medium wound around an outer peripheral surface of a rotating drum is scanned and exposed with a laser beam emitted from a fiber-coupled semiconductor laser. A semiconductor laser anomaly discriminating apparatus for discriminating an anomaly of a semiconductor laser in an apparatus, a photodetector for detecting a laser light amount on a recording surface of the recording medium of a laser beam emitted from the semiconductor laser, and the detected laser light amount And a means for determining the drive current of the semiconductor laser by adjusting the light amount of the semiconductor laser, and a laser on the recording surface of the semiconductor laser that is lit by a predetermined pattern signal with the determined drive current Means for measuring the instantaneous value of the amount of light, and continuously turning on the semiconductor laser for a sufficiently long time, A means for comparing the amount of laser light detected with the instantaneous value and determining that the semiconductor laser is abnormal when the difference ratio exceeds a predetermined range. Provided is a semiconductor laser abnormality determination device.
[0016]
Similarly, in order to solve the above-mentioned problem, according to a fifth aspect of the present invention, there is provided an image recording in which a recording medium wound around an outer peripheral surface of a rotating drum is scanned and exposed with a laser beam emitted from a fiber-coupled semiconductor laser. An image recording apparatus comprising the semiconductor laser abnormality determination device according to the third aspect or the fourth aspect of the present invention is provided.

[0035]
Since all of the above abnormality determination operations are performed automatically, according to the present embodiment, it is necessary to output a determination pattern without using a printing plate and to determine the result by observing the result by a person. Therefore, it is possible to determine the abnormality of the semiconductor laser all automatically and in a short time.

[0046]
As described above, in the second embodiment, as in the first embodiment, all of the above-described abnormality determination operations are automatically performed. Therefore, the present embodiment does not use a printing plate as in the first embodiment. Further, it is not necessary to output a determination pattern and a person observes and determines the result, and it is possible to determine the abnormality of the semiconductor laser all automatically and in a short time.
Furthermore, if this semiconductor laser abnormality determination sequence is started periodically, it can be determined whether or not the semiconductor laser is normal before outputting an actual image, and it is also possible to prevent an abnormal image from being output. It becomes possible.
[0047]
The semiconductor laser abnormality determination method and apparatus and the image recording apparatus of the present invention have been described in detail above. However, the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and does not depart from the gist of the present invention. Of course, various improvements and changes may be made.
[0048]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to automatically determine an abnormality of a semiconductor laser automatically in a short time.
