Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an image reading apparatus, and more particularly to an apparatus in which a mechanism for guiding a scanning apparatus is simplified.
In the one-carriage-type scanning device, except for the opening that supports the upper platen, the reading frame that accommodates the scanning device so as to be reciprocally movable is configured as a substantially box-shaped one. A mechanism for guiding the scanning device and driving means are provided below the box-shaped reading frame. As a means for guiding the scanning device, the guide rod is supported in one side portion of the frame of the scanning device, and the other end portion is slid on the guide rail in many cases. When two different types of guide means of the guide rod and guide rail are used, the guide rod is held at both ends of the reading frame by using the rod holding means. A scanning device that is distorted and guided along the guide rod is not affected by the distortion of the frame. However, since the guide rail that guides the other side of the scanning device is affected by the distortion of the frame, when reading the image while the scanning device is moved, the distance from the original changes. Is likely to occur. That is, when two guide means guide the scanning device, if one of the guide means is distorted, there is a problem that image information obtained from the scanning device tends to be unclear.
According to the present invention, when the scanning device is moved, the guide action is borne by one guide means, and the other guide means performs auxiliary guidance so that the reading frame is not greatly affected by distortion or the like. An object of the present invention is to provide a simple image reading apparatus.
The present invention relates to an image reading apparatus that reciprocates along a lower surface of a platen of an image reading apparatus and outputs image information obtained by reading a document set on the platen as a digital signal by a photoelectric conversion unit provided in a scanning apparatus. About.
In the first aspect of the present invention, the guide means for reciprocating the scanning device is constituted by a pair of guide rail members provided on the device frame,
The one guide rail member is constituted by a rib whose upper surface is formed in an arc shape, and is engaged with a slide groove of a scanning device.
According to a second aspect of the present invention, the main body frame of the image reading device is provided with a guide rail member protruding from the bottom plate upward in parallel to the moving direction of the scanning device on the drive side of the scanning device,
On the other side of the scanning device, guide means for guiding with a small frictional force is provided.
The invention of claim 3 sets the attachment position of the belt that drives the scanning device to a position away from the guide rail,
It is characterized in that it is a means for adjusting the pressing force downward on the frame of the scanning device on the side connected to the belt and reducing the friction with respect to the other guide means.
As described above, since the guide rail member is guided by sliding on one side of the frame of the scanning device, the one guide rail member is configured so as not to be distorted. It is possible to maintain a constant distance from the original without changing. Further, in the guide means for guiding the other side of the scanning device, the tension of the belt of the driving means is applied, and the frictional force at the sliding portion becomes small. Even if there is a slight distortion, the distortion is not The information of the read image is not greatly affected. Further, the configuration of the means for guiding the scanning device inside the reading frame can be simplified, and it is possible to prevent the occurrence of inconveniences such as unclear information of the read image.
When the
The configuration of the present invention will be described according to the illustrated example. The example shown in FIG. 1 relates to an image reading apparatus 1 having an ADF 2 and FBS type reading means, and a
In the image reading apparatus 1, the ADF 2 disposed on the upper portion of the
The originals separated one by one through the paper separating
In the inside of the
When the original is read using the ADF function, the original that is conveyed at a constant speed in the original conveyance path 6 is irradiated by the
The image information obtained from the
As in the case of the conventional image reading apparatus, the
Further, on the other side of the
Then, a downward force is applied to the frame of the
In the portion of the
As described above, the rib-shaped
In addition to the configuration of the sliding portion on the front
