BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a vehicle seat belt apparatus including an electric motor that winds up a seat belt to protect an occupant when a vehicle collision is predicted.
[0002]
[Prior art and its drawbacks]
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a vehicle seat belt device that winds up a seat belt by driving an electric motor to restrain an occupant is well known. In this seat belt device, it is desirable to check in advance whether or not the electric motor operates normally when a vehicle collision is predicted, and to inform the passenger of the result. When confirming the operation of the electric motor in this way, the occupant often feels uncomfortable due to the operation sound when the electric motor is driven.
[0003]
On the other hand, as shown in
[0004]

[0005]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention has been made to address the above-described problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a seat belt device that reduces discomfort given to the occupant when the electric motor is driven to confirm the operation of the electric motor. is there.
[0006]
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention is characterized in that, in a vehicle seat belt apparatus including an electric motor that winds up a seat belt to protect an occupant when a vehicle collision is predicted, A drive control means for driving the electric motor is provided in order to confirm the operation of the electric motor on the condition that the vehicular device that generates the operating noise is operating.
[0007]
According to this, when the vehicle device is operating, the electric motor is driven in order to confirm the operation of the electric motor by the drive control means. Therefore, since the operating sound of the electric motor becomes difficult for the occupant to hear due to the operating sound of the vehicle device, it is possible to reduce discomfort given to the occupant when the electric motor is driven.
[0008]
In this case, the vehicle device may be an engine starting device. According to this, the operating sound of the electric motor becomes difficult to be heard by the occupant due to the operating sound of the engine starter, and the discomfort given to the occupant is reduced.
[0009]
The vehicle device may be a door lock device that locks the door. According to this, the operating sound of the electric motor becomes difficult to be heard by the occupant due to the operating sound of the door lock device, and the discomfort given to the occupant is reduced.
[0010]
The vehicle device may be a sound generating device that generates sound provided to the occupant. In this case, the sound provided to the occupant includes, for example, an alarm sound indicating the reverse of the vehicle, an announcement to drive the electric motor, and radio broadcasting. According to this, the operating sound of the electric motor becomes difficult to be heard by the occupant due to the sound generated by the sound generating device, and the discomfort given to the occupant is reduced.
[0011]
Another feature of the present invention is a vehicle seat belt device including an electric motor that winds up a seat belt to protect an occupant when a vehicle collision is predicted. After confirming the operation of the electric motor on the condition that the collision of the vehicle is predicted by the prediction means, there is provided drive control means for controlling the electric motor and winding the seat belt.
[0012]
According to this, when a collision of the vehicle is predicted by the collision prediction means, the operation of the electric motor is confirmed by the drive control means, and after the confirmation, the electric motor is controlled to wind the seat belt. In this case, there is a high possibility that the vehicle will collide and the occupant is in a tension state, so that it is considered that the occupant does not usually feel uncomfortable even if the electric motor is driven. Further, when an abnormality of the electric motor is detected by checking the operation of the electric motor at the time of the collision prediction, it is possible to cope with the inability to wind up the seat belt by another protection device at the time of the vehicle collision.
[0013]
Another feature of the present invention is an operation confirmation switch for confirming the operation of an electric motor in a vehicle seat belt apparatus including an electric motor that winds up a seat belt to protect an occupant when a vehicle collision is predicted. And drive control means for driving the electric motor in order to confirm the operation of the electric motor in response to the operation of the operation confirmation switch.
[0014]
According to this, the electric motor is driven by the drive control means by operating the operation confirmation switch to confirm the operation of the electric motor. Therefore, since the electric motor is operated at the will of the occupant, the operation sound of the electric motor is not unexpectedly generated, and the discomfort to the occupant can be reduced when the electric motor is driven.
[0015]
Another feature of the present invention is a door lock detecting means for detecting a door lock from the outside of a vehicle in a vehicle seat belt device including an electric motor that winds up a seat belt to protect an occupant when a vehicle collision is predicted. And a drive control means for driving the electric motor in order to confirm the operation of the electric motor on the condition that the door lock is detected by the door lock detecting means.
[0016]
According to this, the electric motor is driven by the drive control means on the condition that the door lock from the outside of the vehicle is detected by the door lock detection means. Therefore, the operating sound of the electric motor cannot be heard or is difficult to be heard by a passenger outside the vehicle, so that discomfort to the passenger can be reduced when the electric motor is driven. In this case, the drive control of the electric motor may be performed when the door lock from the outside of the vehicle is detected, or the drive control of the electric motor may be performed after a predetermined time has elapsed since the detection of the door lock from the outside of the vehicle. .
[0017]
The drive control means may be configured to rotate the electric motor in the seat belt pull-out direction in order to confirm the operation of the electric motor. According to this, even if the electric motor is driven for operation confirmation, the seat belt is not wound up, so that the passenger does not feel uncomfortable feeling restrained by the seat belt.
[0018]

Hereinafter, the operation of the second embodiment will be described. In response to the ON operation of the
[0053]
Now, description will be made assuming that the vehicle is in a normal running state or stopped state and the motor check routine has not been executed yet. In this case, both the motor flag MTF and the abnormality flag KFL are maintained at “0”, and “No” is determined in steps S72 and 74, respectively, and the processing from step S76 is executed.
[0054]
In step S76, a collision time prediction routine is executed. This collision time prediction routine predicts the time until the host vehicle collides with a front object. As shown in FIG. 9, the collision time prediction routine is started in step S150, and in the emergency state
[0055]
On the other hand, if the vehicle speed V is equal to or higher than the predetermined vehicle speed V0, “Yes” is determined in Step S152, and the processes after Step S156 are executed. In step S156, the distance L detected by the distance sensor in the emergency state
[0056]
After the calculation of the relative speed Vab, the previous distance Lold is updated to the current distance Lnew in order to calculate the next relative speed Vab in step S160. If the relative speed Vab is not positive, there is no possibility that the vehicle will collide with an object ahead. Therefore, it is determined as “No” in step S162, and after setting the collision time Ts to a large predetermined time Tsx in step S154, In step S166, the execution of the collision time prediction routine is terminated.
[0057]
If the relative speed Vab is positive, it is determined as “Yes” in step S162, and if the vehicle continues to travel at the current relative speed Vab by dividing the current distance Lnew by the relative speed Vab in step S164, the vehicle After calculating the collision time Ts until the vehicle collides with the front object, the execution of the collision time prediction routine is terminated in step S166. After the collision time Ts is predicted and calculated in this way, that is, after the process of step S76 in FIG. 8, the processes after step S78 are executed.
[0058]
In step S78, it is determined whether the motor flag MTF is “1”. At this time, since the motor flag MTF is maintained at “0”, “No” is determined in Step S78, and it is determined whether the collision time Ts is equal to or shorter than the predetermined time Ts1 in Step S80. This predetermined time Ts1 is set to a time when the host vehicle may collide with a front object, that is, a time substantially equal to or slightly larger than the predetermined time Ts2 in step S86 described later. If the collision time Ts is longer than the predetermined time Ts1, there is no possibility of collision, so “No” is determined in step S80, and the execution of this motor drive control program is terminated in step S106.
[0059]
If the collision time Ts becomes equal to or shorter than the predetermined time Ts1 from this state, it is determined “Yes” in step S80, the motor check routine of FIG. 3 is executed in step S82, and the electric motor in step S22 of FIG. 17 is reversed. As described above, when the collision time Ts becomes equal to or shorter than the predetermined time Ts1, the

[0061]
In step S86, it is determined whether the collision time Ts is equal to or shorter than the predetermined time Ts2. If the collision time Ts is equal to or shorter than the predetermined time Ts1 but greater than Ts2, it is determined that there is no possibility of collision, “No” is determined in step S86, and the execution of the motor drive control program is terminated in step S106. . As long as this state continues, the processes in steps S72 to S76, 78, 84, 86, and 106 are repeated.
[0062]
If the collision time Ts becomes equal to or shorter than the predetermined time Ts2 from this state, “Yes” is determined in step S86, and the
[0063]
When this motor drive control program is executed next, the motor flag MTF is set to “2”. Therefore, “Yes” is determined in step S72, and the above-described collision time prediction is performed in step S96. Run the routine. Then, after executing the collision time prediction routine, it is determined in step S98 whether the collision time Ts calculated by the collision time prediction routine is equal to or greater than a predetermined time Ts3. The predetermined time Ts3 is set to a value slightly larger than the predetermined time Ts1, and it is determined that the vehicle has avoided the emergency state by the determination process in step S98. If the collision time Ts is not equal to or longer than the predetermined time Ts3, “No” in step S98, that is, the vehicle has not yet avoided the emergency state, the process proceeds to step S92. Thereafter, as long as this state continues, “Yes” is determined in step S72, “No” is determined in step S98, and the process that is ended in step S106 is repeatedly executed so that the

If the vehicle collides from this state, it determines with "Yes" in step S92, and operates the pretensioner 18 in step S94. After step S94, the motor drive control program is terminated in step S106.

[0073]
The operation of the fourth embodiment will be described below. The execution of the motor drive control program is started in step S120, and it is determined whether or not the motor flag MTF is “1” in step S122, which is the same as step S12 in FIG. 2 according to the first embodiment. Since the motor flag MTF is initially set to “0”, it is determined “No” in step S122, and it is determined in step S124 whether the timer flag TFL is “1”. This timer flag TFL indicates that the timer starts counting in step S128 described later by “1”, and is initially set to “0”. At this stage, since the timer flag TFL is set to “0”, it is determined as “No” in Step S124, and the processes after Step S126 are executed.

[0076]
After the process in step S130, it is determined in step S132 whether the count value TM indicates a predetermined time TM0 or more. The predetermined time TM0 is set to a time during which the occupant can get out of the vehicle and leave the vehicle for a certain distance. If the count value TM is smaller than the predetermined time TM0, “No” is determined in step S132, and the execution of the motor drive control program is terminated in step S136. In this case, since the timer flag TFL is set to “1”, the processes of steps S120 to S124, 132, and 136 are repeatedly executed as long as this state continues thereafter.
[0077]
From this state, when the count value TM indicates the predetermined time TM0 or more, “Yes” is determined in step S132, and a motor check routine is executed in step S134. That is, the motor check routine of FIG. 3 is started, and the
