Abstract
Description
【0001】

[Industrial application fields]
The present invention relates to an electric toothbrush.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Generally, a toothbrush is made by planting bristles called bristles as a bundle at the tip of a handle. In an ordinary toothbrush, the bristle is fixed directly to the handle, and the bristle cannot move relative to the handle.
[0003]
In the electric toothbrush, the bristle is implanted in a pedestal different from the handle, the pedestal can be moved with respect to the handle, and the pedestal is moved by electricity. There are roughly two types of movement methods. One is to reciprocate the pedestal linearly with respect to the handle, and the other is to reciprocate the pedestal around the central axis within a certain angular range. Many of the toothbrushes currently on the market are based on any one of them, but some can be moved by any of them by replacing parts.
[0004]
FIG. 1 shows an example of a conventional electric toothbrush that rotates around a central axis. 1A is a longitudinal sectional view, and FIG. 1B is a sectional view taken along line BB in FIG. The electric toothbrush of FIG. 1 is made by fixing a
[0005]
Since the conventional rotating electric toothbrush has the above-described structure, the thickness of the toothbrush tip in the direction in which the bristle 4 extends is large. Of the thickness of the toothbrush tip, the portion where the bristle 4 extends has no problem even if the thickness is large because the bristle itself is flexible. Since the thickness W up to the back surface of 1 is not flexible, the large thickness W hinders the use of the toothbrush as will be described later.
[0006]
In the conventional rotating electric toothbrush, the above-described thickness W is increased for some reason. The reason is mainly the structure of the base 3. That is, the tip of the conventional electric toothbrush is centered from the back side of the pedestal 3 so that the pedestal 3 can be stably rotated around the
[0007]
On the other hand, in order to obtain a toothbrush with a good brushing effect, it is necessary to plant bristles 4 over the entire surface of the pedestal 3, and in order to firmly plant the bristles 4, the base of the bristles 4 is placed in the pedestal 3. It was necessary to penetrate deeply. In this case, as a matter of course, since the hole from the front surface for flocking should not communicate with the hole from the back surface for allowing the central axis to enter, the pedestal 3 is a hole for flocking. It has been said that the thickness must be equal to or greater than the sum of the depth P and the depth Q of the hole for the central axis.
[0008]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
For the reasons described above, it has been considered that the thickness of the pedestal 3 has to be increased. Therefore, until now, there have not been many attempts to reduce the thickness W of the toothbrush tip. If the thickness W is large, this inventor not only makes it difficult to insert the toothbrush into the mouth, but also makes it difficult to polish the side surfaces of the back teeth. I noticed the disadvantage that in extreme cases it would cause pain in the cheeks. Therefore, the inventor has attempted to provide an electric toothbrush in which the thickness W of the toothbrush tip is reduced.
[0009]
[Means for solving problems]
According to this inventor, in a rotating electric toothbrush, the bristles near the rotation center move only slightly during rotation and do not rotate significantly. Therefore, the bristles are not implanted in the center region. I noticed that the effect of brushing was almost unaffected. Therefore, it has been found that if the hair is planted only outside the center circular region on the surface of the pedestal, both the central axis and the bristle can be deeply advanced into the pedestal, and the thickness of the pedestal can be reduced. It was.
[0010]
That is, if the radius of the central axis is R and the radius of the flock hole is T, the surface of the pedestal is centered on the axis of the central axis that supports the pedestal, and the length of R + (0.2 to 1.5) T is the radius. If the flock hole is not provided in the circular area, the central axis can be extended to the full thickness of the pedestal, so that the pedestal can be stably rotated and at the same time the bristle bundle is firmly attached to the pedestal. It was found that a flocking hole with a depth that can be flocked can be dug. Accordingly, it has been found that the thickness W of the toothbrush tip can be reduced. The present invention has been completed based on such knowledge.
[0011]
The present invention relates to an electric toothbrush in which a central axis that stands upright at the tip of a handle is fixed, a pedestal having bristles implanted on the surface thereof is rotatably attached to the central axis, and the pedestal is electrically rotated. If the radius of R is R and the radius of the flock hole is T, the above surface of the pedestal has a circular region centered on the central axis and having a radius of R + (0.2 to 1.5) T. The bristle is not implanted, the bristle is implanted only outside the region, and the tip of the central axis is positioned closer to the imaginary plane connecting the bottom of the bristle flocking hole in the direction of the central axis of the base. An electric toothbrush characterized by having a reduced thickness is provided.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 3 is an enlarged cross-sectional view of the tip portion of the electric toothbrush according to the present invention cut along the longitudinal direction of the handle. FIG. 4 is an enlarged cross-sectional view when the tip of another electric toothbrush according to the present invention is cut along a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the handle.

The electric toothbrush according to the present invention shown in FIG. 3 is different from the conventional one in the structure of the base 3. One of the structural differences is the distribution state of the bristle 4 on the surface of the pedestal 3, and the other difference is the positional relationship between the bottom of the flocking hole of the bristle 4 and the tip of the

The reason why the radius S is set to a length in the range of R + (0.2 to 1.5) T in the present invention is as follows. R is the minimum length required to avoid the central axis. In addition, 0.2T is the minimum length required to prevent cracking between adjacent flock holes at the time of flocking, and 1.5T is a limit value required to improve polishing efficiency. It is. Among them, the radius S is preferably in the range of R + (0.5 to 1.0) T.

[0021]
The coefficient (0.2 to 1.5) that defines the radius S mainly depends on the strength of the material making the base 3. For example, when the pedestal 3 is made of a rigid material having a high rigidity, the coefficient can take a relatively small value close to 0.2, but the pedestal 3 is made of a relatively fragile material. In such a case, the coefficient gradually takes a large value.

FIG. 4 shows a cross-sectional view of another electric toothbrush according to the present invention. 4 is a cross-sectional view taken along a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the handle 1 unlike FIG. The toothbrush shown in FIG. 4 has almost the same structure as the toothbrush shown in FIG. 3, except that the

[0024]
【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention, on the surface of the pedestal, no bristle is implanted in a circular region having a radius S of R + (0.2 to 1.5) T around the central axis. Since the bristles are planted only on the base, it is possible to avoid communication between the hole for passing the central axis and the hole for bristle planting, so that these holes can be deepened to the limit of the thickness of the pedestal. Thus, since the surface of the center axis is positioned closer to the trap than the virtual plane connecting the bristle flocking hole bottom, the pedestal is stably held by the center axis and can rotate smoothly. As a result, it is only necessary that the pedestal has a thickness sufficient to dig a hole having a depth capable of firmly planting bristle bundles, and the thickness of the pedestal can be reduced. Therefore, the thickness of the toothbrush tip can be reduced, and the side surfaces of the back teeth can be easily polished.
[0025]
Moreover, even if no bristle is implanted in the circular region, the tooth polishing effect by the toothbrush is not much changed. This is because the bristle planted in the circular region moves only slightly even if the rotating portion rotates, and almost rotates automatically, so there is almost no polishing effect. The present invention provides such an effect.
