BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an engine starter that supplies an output of a DC power source to a motor via a converter and an inverter and controls the drive of the motor to start an engine of a hybrid vehicle.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In a two-motor system equipped with a power split mechanism for a hybrid vehicle (hereinafter referred to as a hybrid vehicle), the inverter input voltage required for driving the motor is calculated from the currently received torque command value and the current motor speed, It is known in Patent Document 1 that a higher one of inverter input voltages is set as a boost target voltage.
[0003]
[Patent Document 1] Japanese Patent Application No. 2001-234824
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
When starting the engine, cranking vibrations are generated by passing through the engine's resonant rotation range while the engine speed is increasing. It is necessary to increase the engine speed without applying torque to stay at the engine resonance speed.
[0005]
The two-motor system employed in the hybrid vehicle is composed of a
[0006]
In order to prioritize motor efficiency, the inverter input voltage required for motor drive is calculated from the currently received torque command value and the current motor speed, and the higher one of the inverter input voltages is the boost target voltage. As shown in FIG.
[0007]
If the boost operation is performed with the maximum voltage as the target after receiving the maximum torque command in the above state, it takes time to increase the voltage to the maximum voltage that can generate the maximum torque, resulting in a longer engine start time and cranking. The vibration will be easy to continue.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In a hybrid vehicle having an engine that serves as a power source and a traveling motor independently or in cooperation, when the traveling motor alone cannot satisfy the torque command value, the engine is driven by the drive power supplied from the power source through the converter. An engine starting device for a hybrid vehicle having an engine starting motor for starting is used.
[0009]
When the engine starting motor stores a corrected rated output with a lower rated output to output sufficient torque immediately after the engine starts, and when the torque command value matches the stored corrected rated output The boost request determination means for outputting a boost request for boosting the output of the converter, the converter control means for increasing the voltage conversion ratio of the converter by the boost request, the torque command value and the rated output of the traveling motor are compared, and the engine Start determination means for determining that it is necessary to start. The boosting request determining means and the starting motor drive voltage are boosted in advance by the converter control means, and the engine is started based on the starting determining means.
[0010]
Further, after boosting the output voltage of the converter in advance to a drive voltage at which the starting motor can output a predetermined torque before starting the engine due to the boosting request, the starting motor is controlled, and the engine is controlled based on the information of the starting determination means. It is characterized by starting.
[0011]
In addition, the converter control means boosts in advance to a drive voltage at which the starting motor can output a predetermined torque before starting the engine due to a boost request, and after the engine starts, the torque command value currently received and the current motor speed The drive voltage of the converter required for driving the motor is calculated, the higher one of the drive voltages is set as a boost target, and the current drive voltage is stepped up and down.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention (hereinafter referred to as embodiments) will be described with reference to the drawings.

[0019]
In the present embodiment, since the converter is included, the inverter input voltage can be increased up to 500 V from the battery voltage that is a DC power supply. Therefore, the torque can be maintained by gradually increasing the inverter input voltage as the motor / generator speed increases.
[0020]
Generally, since the motor output is the product of the voltage applied to the motor and the motor current, the motor current at the same output can be reduced by increasing the voltage applied to the motor.
[0021]
Further, by increasing the inverter input voltage, the current capacity of the inverter can be reduced, and the inverter can be miniaturized. Similarly, by increasing the applied voltage of the motor, the output in the high rotation range increases, and as a result, the motor can be reduced in size and cost.
[0022]
For this reason, normally, the inverter input voltage necessary for driving the motor is calculated from the currently received motor torque command value 9 and the current motor speed, and the higher one of the inverter input voltages is set as the boost target voltage. doing.

The present embodiment will be described using these figures in comparison with a conventional control example.
[0026]
The upper graph in FIG. 3 shows the inverter input voltage value of the motor /
[0027]
First, the flow of conventional control will be described. Normally, a hybrid vehicle (hereinafter referred to as a vehicle) is driven by a motor while stopping at a low speed of 40 km / h or less according to a motor torque command value 9, but when the vehicle speed exceeds 40 km / h, the engine is started. And run with the engine and motor. When the driver depresses the accelerator pedal and accelerates while running with the motor driven while the engine is stopped, the motor torque command value 9 starts to increase as shown in the middle graph of FIG. Along with this, the inverter input voltage starts to rise from the rated output determined from the motor output torque and the rotational speed as indicated by the dotted line in the upper graph of FIG.
[0028]
As shown in the middle graph of FIG. 3, it is determined that the motor torque command value 9 from EVC (not shown) increases and crosses the engine start request line set in advance by the rated output characteristics of the motor. When the command is input to the

Next, the flow of control in this embodiment will be described. In this embodiment, it is confirmed whether the engine of FIG. 4 is operating (30), and if it is determined that the engine is stopped, the engine start request prior determination (31) is performed, and the rotational speed, voltage, The motor torque is calculated from the current value.
[0031]
The engine start request pre-determination unit stores a corrected rated output characteristic in which the rated output characteristic of the motor is set lower in an internal storage area so that the engine starting motor can output sufficient torque immediately after the start of the engine. It is determined that the motor torque command value 9 from (not shown) crosses the engine start request prior determination line of FIG. 3, and the engine start request determination unit 6 determines (before the engine start command 8 is input ( 32).

The motor controller 1 increases the voltage conversion ratio of the
[0033]
Normally, during low load operation, the inverter input voltage is not boosted to the maximum voltage, but in this embodiment, as shown in the middle graph of FIG. 3, in order to increase the converter boost time by about 100 mSec, the conventional engine start request line is used. The lower motor / generator torque value is set as the engine start request prior determination line. Of course, the converter boost time may be further advanced.

If the engine start request from the EVC (not shown) does not turn ON even after the engine start request is confirmed (34), it is determined that the engine start has been stopped and normal pressure increase (37) is performed. In normal boosting, the inverter input voltage necessary for driving the motor is calculated from the currently received motor torque command value 9 and the current motor speed, and the higher one of the inverter input voltages is set as the boosting target.
[0036]
In this case, since the motor /

[0040]
This process shortens the inverter input voltage boost time of the conventional example shown by the dotted line in FIG. 3, and the current control of the inverter allows the engine start motor to output the maximum torque immediately after the engine start request, so that the engine is stopped from the stopped state. It becomes possible to shorten the residence time between 600 rpm and 1000 rpm at which the engine starts to start.
[0041]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, when the engine start request is received, the inverter input voltage is boosted to the maximum, so that the maximum torque can be output without being affected by the delay of the boost control.
