Abstract
Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a malfunction control circuit and a lighting device that can prevent malfunction during light control of a light emitting element.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, a system for dimming an incandescent lamp or the like by controlling a conduction angle of a commercial AC power source by a dimmer using a control element such as a triac has been widely used. By using this system, the user can adjust the brightness of the room to the desired brightness by a simple operation such as turning a knob of the dimmer.
[0003]
By the way, in recent years, light emitting diodes (hereinafter referred to as “LEDs”) have been attracting attention as being used for general illumination along with higher illuminance and lower costs due to mass production. Lighting fixtures comprising LEDs have been proposed.
In such a lighting fixture, in order to light the LED, a lighting circuit for supplying a smoothed DC voltage to the LED after full-wave rectification of a commercial AC power supply and smoothing by a smoothing capacitor is provided.
[0004]
[Patent Document 1]
JP-A-2001-35239 [0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, when the conventional LED lighting apparatus is connected to the dimming system, there is a problem in that LED flickering occurs with dimming.
That is, if the off time of the current flowing from the dimmer to the LED lighting fixture becomes longer due to the conduction angle control of the dimmer, the amount of charge of the smoothing capacitor is reduced and smoothing is not sufficiently performed. As the voltage increases, the LED becomes brighter or darker according to voltage fluctuations caused by ripples, causing flickering.
[0006]
In the case of an incandescent light bulb, the filament gradually darkens even when the off-time becomes longer due to the conduction angle control of the dimmer, so it does not seem to flicker to the human eye, but the LED has a response time ( The time from when the current flows until it emits light is extremely short, so it appears to flicker in the human eye.
Therefore, when the user turns the knob of the dimmer from light to dark, the LED flickers at a certain point, which causes discomfort to the user.
[0007]
The present invention has been made in view of such a problem, and when connected to a dimmer, the dimming malfunction prevention circuit and the illuminating device can prevent malfunction caused by flickering of light emitting elements such as LEDs. The purpose is to provide.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, a dimming malfunction prevention circuit according to the present invention includes a switch element that controls an output from an external dimmer and an output controlled by the switch element on a primary side. A lighting circuit for the light emitting element, comprising: an output transformer for transforming this and outputting to an external light emitting element connected to the secondary side and generating an output for operating the switch element from a predetermined winding portion In the dimming malfunction prevention circuit provided inside, a detection circuit for detecting whether or not the output value of the dimmer is lower than a predetermined value, and the output value of the dimmer by the detection circuit is more than a predetermined value And a control circuit that controls the operation of the switch element by controlling the output for operation to stop or reduce the output of the output transformer.
[0009]
Accordingly, it is possible to turn off the light emitting element before the flickering occurs, and it is possible to prevent the user from feeling uncomfortable due to the flickering.
The lighting device according to the present invention is a lighting device including a light emitting element and a lighting circuit that converts an output from an external dimmer into electric power for lighting the light emitting element and outputs the power. The lighting circuit includes a switching element that controls an output from the dimmer, and the light emitting element that is connected to the secondary side by transforming the switching element when the output controlled by the switching element is input to the input side. An output transformer that generates an output for operating the switch element from a predetermined winding portion, a detection circuit that detects whether an output value of the dimmer is lower than a predetermined value, and the detection When the circuit detects that the output value of the dimmer is lower than a predetermined value, the operation of the switch element is controlled by controlling the output for operation, and the output of the output transformer is stopped or lowered. Control circuit It is characterized in that it comprises.
[0010]
Accordingly, the light emitting element can be turned off before flickering occurs.
Further, the control circuit stops the operation of the switch element when the output from the output transformer is stopped.
As a result, power supply to the light emitting element is stopped, which leads to power saving.
[0011]
Further, when the output from the output transformer is reduced, the control circuit operates the switch element so that a voltage lower than an operating voltage is applied to the light emitting element and the light emitting element is turned off. It is characterized by controlling.
The light-emitting element is a light-emitting diode.
The lighting device according to the present invention is a lighting device including a light emitting element and a lighting circuit that converts an output from an external dimmer into electric power for lighting the light emitting element, and outputs the electric power. A detection circuit that detects whether or not the output value of the dimmer is lower than a predetermined value, and when the detection circuit detects that the output value of the dimmer is lower than a predetermined value, And a control circuit that reduces an output to the light emitting element until the light emitting element is turned off.
[0012]
Here, “reducing the output to the light emitting element” is used in a concept including stopping the output.
Accordingly, the light emitting element can be turned off before flickering occurs.

The tertiary winding T3 generates an output (operation output) for operating the transistor Q1, and its output terminal O5 is connected to the S3 terminal of the IC1 via the diode D1, and the output terminal O6. Is connected to the output terminal O2 of the

The emitter E of the transistor Q1 is connected to the output terminal O6 of the tertiary winding T3, and the base B is connected to the S2 terminal of IC1.
The transistor Q1 as a switch element is turned on (almost conductive between the collector and emitter) and turned off (non-conductive) based on a signal from the signal output terminal S2 of the IC1, and is applied to the primary winding T1 of the output transformer T. DC voltage to be switched.
[0020]
The output transformer T transforms the DC voltage applied to the primary side T1 by the switching, and causes the secondary side T2 and the tertiary side T3 to output a voltage corresponding to the turns ratio.

[0026]
Further, the rectified DC voltage is applied to the series circuit of the resistors R1 and R2. The values of R1 and R2 are set so that the voltage divided by R1 and R2 is equal to or higher than the Zener voltage of the Zener diode ZD1 when not dimmed. Therefore, here, the divided voltage is applied to the base B of the transistor Q2 through the Zener diode ZD1, the Q2 is turned on (the collector and the emitter are almost conductive), and the signal input terminal S1 of the IC1 is almost grounded. (The input of the operation output from the tertiary winding T3 of the transformer T is blocked).
[0027]
When the operating voltage is applied to the power input terminal S3 and the signal input terminal S1 is grounded (L level), the IC 1 is a signal having a predetermined cycle and a predetermined duty ratio (Dt1). Is output from the signal output terminal S2, and the transistor Q2 is switched (ON / OFF). As a result, a voltage having a substantially rectangular waveform is applied to the primary winding T1 of the output transformer T, and a voltage corresponding to the turns ratio is output from the secondary winding T2 and the tertiary winding T3.
[0028]
The output from the secondary winding T2 is a substantially rectangular wave, but since it is rectified and smoothed by the diode D2 and the capacitor C3, a substantially constant DC voltage is supplied to the LED strings 21 and 22, thereby The LED lights up stably without flickering.
The operation output from the tertiary winding T3 is also rectified and smoothed by the diode D1 and the capacitor C2 and applied to the power supply input terminal S3 of the IC1, thereby serving as a supply source of the operating voltage of the IC1.
[0029]
(During light control)
When the user performs dimming using the knob of the dimmer 82, the output voltage from the dimmer 82 decreases. As the brightness is adjusted from light to dark, the dimmer 82 shortens the ON time of the phase control element (increases the OFF time), and accordingly, between the output terminals O1 and O2 of the
[0030]
When the output voltage decreases and reaches a certain value (hereinafter referred to as “predetermined value V1”), the voltage divided by R1 and R2 becomes lower than the Zener voltage of the Zener diode ZD1. In this case, the Zener diode ZD1 is turned off (non-conducting) and the transistor Q2 is turned off, and the output for operation from the tertiary winding T3 of the output transformer T is connected to the diode D1 and the resistor R3 at the signal input terminal S1 of IC1. (Hereinafter, S1 is referred to as “H level”). In this sense, it can be said that the operation output is also used as a control signal for inputting an output voltage drop detection signal to the IC 1.
[0031]
When the signal input terminal S1 becomes H level, the IC1 stops the signal output from the signal output terminal S2 and stops the switching operation of the transistor Q2 (turns the transistor Q2 off). As a result, no current flows through the primary winding T1 of the output transformer T, the output of the secondary winding T2 becomes almost zero, and each LED is turned off.
[0032]
The IC 1 has a function of latching the stop state of the signal output from the signal output terminal S2, and the output stop state is canceled by turning on the power again (operation for once disconnecting the lighting device 1 from the commercial
[0033]
As described above, the lighting circuit 5 (illumination device 1) of the present embodiment can light the LED in a stable state when the light is not dimmed, and the
[0034]
Furthermore, by not turning on the LED until the power is turned on again (maintaining the extinguished state), the user is informed that the lighting device is unsuitable for the dimming system.
Note that the value of V1 can be arbitrarily set by adjusting the voltage dividing ratio of the resistors R1 and R2, and an optimal value is set by experiment or the like so that the LED is turned off before flickering occurs.
[0035]
(Modification)
As described above, the present invention has been described based on the embodiment. However, the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and the following modifications may be considered.
(1) In the above embodiment, when the output from the dimmer 82 decreases to V1 by dimming, the signal output from the signal output terminal S2 of the IC1 is stopped and the output of the output transformer T is completely stopped. However, a weak voltage (for example, about 0.1 volts or the like) is applied to each LED so that it is felt that the LED is almost turned off by human eyes. As stated above (in other words, when the operating voltage is a voltage that can be felt visually lit), a voltage smaller than the operating voltage is applied and the light is almost turned off) It is also possible to adopt a configuration in which a signal with a duty ratio smaller than Dt1 is output to switch the transistor Q1 (LED is turned off).
[0036]
(2) In the above embodiment, the IC 1 has a function of latching the stop state of the signal output from the signal output terminal S2, and once the LED is turned off, the off state is maintained until the power is turned on again. For example, when the latch function is eliminated and the output voltage from the dimmer 82 is increased by the user's dimming operation and becomes equal to or higher than the predetermined value V1, the signal of the duty ratio Dt1 is output again, and the transistor It can also be set as the structure which switches Q1 and makes LED light.
[0037]
Further, the operation output of the transistor Q1 is generated from the tertiary winding T3 of the output transformer T. For example, another winding portion, the primary winding, etc. are used as predetermined winding portions for generating the operation output. It is good also as a structure to use.
(3) In the above embodiment, the transistor Q1 is used as the switching element. However, for example, an FET, a MOS FET, or the like can be used. Similarly, an FET or the like may be used instead of the transistor Q2.
[0038]
In addition, for example, the
[0039]
(4) In the above embodiment, the voltage applied to the primary winding T1 of the output transformer T is switched by the transistor Q1 to obtain power for LED lighting in the secondary winding T2. The power source (AC) is not limited to the above configuration as long as the power source (AC) is converted into a DC voltage for LED lighting by rectification, smoothing, or the like. For example, a configuration is conceivable in which the output from the dimmer 82 is transformed by a transformer, and the transformed AC output is rectified and smoothed and supplied to the LED array. In this case, a circuit corresponding to the
[0040]
Even if the output transformer is not used, a simple circuit configuration in which a rectified and smoothed DC voltage is stepped down by a resistor or the like and supplied to the LED array can be used. Furthermore, if it is set as the structure supplied to LED row via a constant current circuit, LED can be light-emitted in the more stable state.
(5) In the above embodiment, an example of a lighting device in which an LED is used as a light emitting element has been described. However, the light emitting element is not limited to an LED, and can be applied to, for example, a laser diode or an EL. Specifically, a circuit that performs the same operation as that of the dimming
