Description
【0001】

f=1/2π√(k/I) (1)
kθ=β・t・c3・E/L(1+ν) (2)
E=Eo (1−Δht*tmp) (3)

[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The two beams arranged in a straight line support the center of two opposite sides of the mirror substrate, and the other two sides of the mirror substrate are mirrored by an electrostatic force between the movable electrode and the opposite drive electrode. A vibration mirror that drives a substrate and reciprocally vibrates a mirror substrate using a beam as a torsional rotation axis is conventionally driven to reciprocate at a resonance point. However, as shown in FIG. 14 as an example of the measurement results, there is a problem that the deflection angle (vibration amplitude) of the mirror substrate varies considerably when the environmental temperature changes. The cause is that the resonance point of the vibration system of the vibrating mirror changes according to the environmental temperature, and the fluctuation of the resonance point greatly affects the deflection angle.
[0007]
The resonance point of this type of oscillating mirror and its change due to ambient temperature will be described next. If the torsional elastic coefficient of the beam is kθ and the moment of inertia of the mirror substrate is I, the resonance point can be approximated by the following equation.
f = 1 / 2π√ (k / I) (1)
The torsional elastic coefficient kθ is given by the following equation where c is the beam width, t is the beam height, and L is the beam length. Where β is the cross-sectional shape factor, E is the Young's modulus, and ν is the Poisson's ratio.
kθ = β · t · c 3 ・ E / L (1 + ν) (2)
If the temperature coefficient of silicon is Δht, the Young's modulus E at the temperature tmp is
E = Eo (1−Δht * tmp) (3)
However, Eo = 1.9e + 12 (dyne / cm2), Δht = 75e-6 / ° C.
Given in.
From the above, it can be seen that the Young's modulus E decreases as the temperature increases, and therefore the resonance point decreases as the temperature increases.
[0008]
In order to reduce the fluctuation of the deflection angle due to the change of the environmental temperature, like the piezoelectric element driving optical scanner described in Patent Document 5, an electrical resistance element as a heating element is provided on the beam, and the amount of generated heat is increased or decreased. It is also possible to apply a mechanism that suppresses changes in the Young's modulus of the beam. However, it is not preferable in terms of reliability to provide an electric resistance element on the elastically deformed beam, and the manufacturing process of the vibrating mirror is complicated, and another means for controlling the current of the electric resistance element is required. Therefore, there is a problem in terms of cost.
[0009]
Therefore, a main object of the present invention is to provide an optical scanning device using an electrostatically driven beam-supporting oscillating mirror, an optical writing device and an image forming apparatus using the same, without changing the structure of the oscillating mirror, and Therefore, it is possible to effectively suppress fluctuations in the swing angle of the vibrating mirror due to changes in the environmental temperature, etc., without adding any special means that increase the cost, and to enable stable light scanning and stable image formation. .
