Abstract
Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a hopper device of a gaming machine that is provided inside a casing of a gaming machine and that pays out a medal to a player based on a game result.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Generally, in a slot machine that is a gaming machine, a hopper device is provided in a casing (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
[0003]
This type of hopper device includes, for example, a hopper tank disposed in a slot machine housing and storing medals therein, a hopper motor disposed below the hopper tank, and a hopper tank at the bottom of the hopper tank. Formed at the bottom of the hopper tank, a disk with a central axis that rotates in conjunction with the rotation of the hopper motor that passes through the bottom surface of the bottom, a plurality of recesses for medal insertion, And a medal passage for discharging medals, and the medals inserted in the recesses are discharged from the medal passage toward the medal payout opening formed in the housing as the disk rotates.
[0004]
If a prize is repeatedly generated in a short period during a game with a slot machine, for example, hundreds of medals will be paid out continuously, and the number of medals stored in the hopper tank will be insufficient. The hopper tank must be replenished with medals (see, for example, Patent Document 2). The shortage of medals stored in the hopper tank can be detected by a signal from a sensor for detecting the remaining number of medals installed in the hopper tank. This is done by an automatic method. When an insufficient number of medals stored in the hopper tank is detected by the sensor, in the automatic method, medals are automatically replenished to the hopper tank by an automatic medal supply device arranged in the game hall (for example, In the manual method, the employee opens the front panel of the slot machine and replenishes the hopper tank with medals.
[0005]
Also, medals thrown into the slot machine by the player during the game are also stored in the hopper tank. During a game, when the number of medals that the player puts into the slot machine lasts longer than the number of medals paid out to the player from the slot machine, the hopper tank becomes full of medals. This is a burden on the hopper motor and the like. In order to prevent such a situation, the hopper tank is usually provided with a notch (or hole) for discharging medals, medals exceeding a certain amount are discharged from the hopper tank, and medals in the hopper tank are kept below a certain amount. It is supposed to be retained.

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the case of the automatic medals replenishment described above, when the medals are full in the hopper tank, the sensor for detecting the remaining amount of medals becomes an obstacle, and the flow of medals in the hopper tank becomes worse. However, there is a problem that medal clogging is likely to occur, and it is desirable to reduce the medal storage capacity of the hopper tank as much as possible in automatic medal replenishment. On the other hand, in the case of manual medal replenishment, the player must interrupt the game in order to replenish the medal, which is troublesome for the player. Therefore, in order to reduce the number of game interruptions, it is desirable that the notch (hole) for discharging medals is provided at a position where as many medals as possible can be stored without burdening the hopper motor.
[0008]
Then, an object of this invention is to provide the hopper apparatus which can respond to both manual supply and automatic supply.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above-described object, the present invention is provided in a gaming machine hopper device, which is provided inside a gaming machine casing and pays out medals to a player based on the game result. A hopper tank for storing medals therein, a collecting means for collecting the medals overflowing from the hopper tank, and an upper part for flowing out the medals into the overflow tank formed at a higher position on a side surface of the hopper tank. Switch for selectively enabling use of a flow hole, a lower flow hole for outflow of the medal to the overflow tank formed at a lower position on the side surface of the hopper tank, and the upper flow hole and the lower flow hole Means (claim 1).
[0010]
According to such a configuration, the medal storage amount of the hopper tank is set to be small by switching the upper and lower flow holes to the closed state and the open state by the switching means. On the other hand, by switching the upper and lower flow holes to the open state and the closed state, respectively, the medal storage amount of the hopper tank is set to be large. Therefore, according to automatic replenishment or manual replenishment, the storage means of the hopper tank can be changed by making one of the flow holes usable by the switching means. As a result, the medal storage capacity of the hopper tank can be easily variably set in the field according to the replenishment method adopted at the place where the gaming machine is actually installed.
