[Structure of the invention]
The document processing apparatus according to the present invention has a means for storing biometric data for each user and a means for comparing the input biometric data with the stored biometric data to extract matching biometric data. And means for specifying the user from the extracted biometric data and means for storing the setting information of the document processing apparatus for each user, and setting information for each user by inputting biometric data. The document processing apparatus can be used in accordance with the setting information for each user by calling (claim 1).
[0006]
Preferably, a biometric data detection sensor is provided on the body of the document processing apparatus so as to serve as another operation input means, and the user's biometric data is read by operating the operation input means ( Claim 2).
The operation input means is, for example, a key that touches the initial stage of operation, such as a function selection key, a phone book key, or an address key, or a key that touches frequently such as a start key, a stop key, or a clear key. A key touched at the beginning of the operation, such as an address key, is preferable. Since a biometric sensor is provided so as to overlap the operation input key, in other words, also as the operation input key, the types of biometric data are fingerprint, capillary pattern of fingertip, sweat gland pattern, DNA, sweat component, key What can be read from the fingertip, such as a pressure pattern when touching, is preferable, and the biometric sensor is also preferably a sensor that can read biometric data from the fingertip.
Particularly preferably, the user can perform an operation input according to the setting information of the user based on the read biometric data from the operation panel.
[0007]
Preferably, a biometric data detection sensor is provided on the body of the document processing apparatus independently from other operation input means so as to read the user's biometric data, and based on the read biometric data, An operation input corresponding to the user setting information can be performed by the user from the operation panel. The operation panel is, for example, a touch panel. In this case, according to the setting information for each user, for example, the display on the touch panel such as a telephone directory and the key assignment are changed.
[0008]
Preferably, means for storing shared setting information of the document processing apparatus is provided so that the document processing apparatus is operated according to the shared setting information when no biometric data is input. 5). As a result, the document processing apparatus has two operation modes of operating according to the setting information for each user and a shared operation mode, and the user can select them.
Particularly preferably, an operation input means is provided on the machine body of the document processing apparatus, which is provided with both an input area to the biometric data detection sensor and an area not to be input to the detection sensor. By this operation, it is determined whether to operate the document processing apparatus according to the setting information for each user or according to the shared setting information. In this way, it is possible to determine whether to operate the document processing apparatus according to the setting information for each user or according to the shared setting information depending on which area is used for operation.
Instead of using two areas for the operation input means and whether or not to input biometric data, for example, the operation input means provided with a biometric sensor is touched for a predetermined time or continuously for a predetermined number of times. Whether the operation is performed according to the setting information for each user may be determined depending on whether the touch time on the operation input means is less than a predetermined time or the number of times of continuous touching is less than a predetermined number. In this case, for example, when the operation input unit provided with the biometric sensor is touched for a predetermined time or longer and the document processing apparatus is operated according to the setting information for each user, it is easy to read the biometric data. So it is convenient.
[0009]
Preferably, by inputting biometric data, the setting information for each user is called so that the document processing apparatus can be used according to the setting information for each user, and the user's management authority for the document processing apparatus is authenticated. (Claim 7). In this way, the document processing apparatus can be operated in accordance with the setting information for each user and management authority can be authenticated.
[0010]
In addition, preferably, the setting information for each user is called by both the input of biometric data and the input of character information for specifying the user, so that the document processing apparatus can be used according to the setting information for each user. Item 8). As a result, the conventional usage method for calling the setting information for each user by a passcode or ID can coexist with the usage method using biometric data.
[0011]
According to the document processing method of the present invention, biometric data for each user is stored, the input biometric data is compared with the stored biometric data, the matching biometric data is extracted, and the extracted biometric data is extracted from the extracted biometric data. While specifying the user, the setting information of the document processing apparatus for each user is stored, the setting information for each user is called by inputting biometric data, and the user is allowed to use the document processing apparatus according to the setting information for each user. (Claim 9).
[0012]
Preferably, a biometric data detection sensor is provided on the body of the document processing apparatus so as to serve also as an operation input unit, and the user's biometric data is read by operation of the operation input unit. Item 10).
[0013]
[Operation and effect of the invention]
In the present invention, the biometric data input by the user is compared with the stored value to identify a matching user, and the document processing apparatus is operated according to the setting information of the user. As a result, the document processing apparatus can be used in accordance with the user setting without inputting a passcode or ID (claims 1 and 9).
[0014]
According to the second and tenth aspects of the present invention, since the biometric data detection sensor is provided so as to serve as another operation input means, the biometric data can be input almost automatically. For this reason, the document processing apparatus can be used very simply according to the setting information for each user.
Preferably, the biometric data is data that can be read by touching the operation input means with a finger. Such data includes, for example, fingerprint, DNA, sweat component, finger sweat gland distribution, finger capillary blood vessel pattern, pressure when touching the operation input means, its time pattern, pressure position distribution, etc. .
If the operation input according to the setting information for each user can be performed from the operation panel as in
[0015]
If a biometrics data detection sensor is provided independently of other operation input means as in the invention of
[0016]
According to the fifth aspect of the present invention, the operation of the document processing apparatus is provided in two states: a state in which the operation is performed according to the setting information for each user and a state in which the operation is performed according to the common setting information, and the processing is switched according to whether biometric data is input. be able to. For this reason, it is possible not only to select whether to follow the setting information for each user or to share setting information, but also to share a new user who does not store biometric data, or when biometric data authentication fails. The document processing apparatus can be operated according to the setting information. Here, by providing an operation input means provided with both an input area of the detection sensor for biometric data and an area that is not input to this sensor, it is possible to easily use the document processing apparatus according to the setting information for each user. it can.
[0017]
If authority authentication for a document processing apparatus administrator or the like is performed using biometric data, authority authentication can be easily performed. Along with this, the processing content of the document processing apparatus can be changed according to the authority of the user (claim 7).
