Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent displacement of sheets at an uppermost part when a bundle of sheets are set to a tray in a paper feeding tray.
SOLUTION: In this paper feeding tray, a front part of a sheet bundle 6 is always energized upward by a raising member 2 spring-energized to a tray body 1, and the front part of the sheet bundle 6 is pressed against a spring by a free end of a rotatable cover element 3. A plurality of projection parts 34, 35, 36 sequentially pressurizing a bundle of sheets from a rear end side of the sheet bundle in the middle of closing the cover element 3 are formed to the cover element 3. Because the projection parts 34, 35, 36 and 37 press a rear end side of the sheet before a free end of the cover element 3 pressurizes the sheet bundle, displacement of the sheets can be effectively prevented.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI

Description

【0001】

【0026】

[Field of the Invention]
The present invention relates to a paper feed tray provided with a mechanism for lifting a bundle of paper on the paper feed tray itself.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Paper feeding to the printer is performed by a paper feeding tray set in the printer.
The bundle of sheets stored in the sheet feed tray is lifted on the sheet withdrawal side by the lifting mechanism so that the uppermost sheet hits the sheet feed roller in the printer.
The lifting mechanism is provided with an arm that rises as the paper decreases in the printer, penetrates the bottom of the tray and enters the tray, and lifts the plate-like lifting member provided at the bottom of the tray diagonally. There are one (Patent Document 1) and one provided with a spring (4) for urging the lifting member (2) upward on the tray itself as shown in FIG.
[0003]
In the former, the paper lifting mechanism is complicated.
In the latter, a spring (4) is provided on the front wall (11) (paper drawer side wall) of the tray body (1), and the spring (4) is covered with the free end of the plate-like lifting member (2). Since it is only necessary to pivotally support the base end of the lifting member on the tray bottom plate (15), the configuration can be simplified.
As shown in FIG. 5 (a), the latter sheet feed tray is closed by rotating the lid (3) about the shaft (33) as shown in FIG. 5 (b). ) Presses the sheet drawing side end of the sheet bundle downward against the spring (4), the entire sheet bundle (6) can be accommodated in the tray body (1), and the uppermost sheet (61) The height position of is determined.
In this state, when the paper feed tray is set in the printer, the uppermost paper (61) comes into contact with the paper drawing roller in the printer and is drawn out of the tray by the rotation of the roller.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the case of the latter paper feed tray, when the lid (3) is closed, as shown in FIG. 6, the uppermost paper (61) is displaced and placed on the side wall (14) of the tray body (1). As a result, the paper drawing side edge may not be correctly caught by the drawing roller, and the paper feeding may fail.
The cause of the positional deviation of the paper (61) is as follows.
As shown in FIG. 5A, when the sheet bundle (6) is placed on the lifting member (2) of the tray body (1), the spring (4) force is superior to the weight of the sheet bundle (6). The sheet bundle (6) is tilted so that the sheet drawing side end of the sheet bundle (6) protrudes upward from the tray main body (1), and the opposite end is accommodated in the tray main body (1).
[0005]
In the above state, as shown in FIG. 5B, when the lid (3) is closed, the free end of the lid (3) protrudes from the tray body (1) of the sheet bundle (6). Press. Since there is nothing on the protruding side of the sheet bundle (6) that prevents the sheet from shifting, the cover can be changed depending on the force applied when closing the cover (3), the position of pressing the cover (3), etc. When the force is not uniformly applied to the free end of the body (3), the paper (61) is likely to be misaligned.
An urging member (5) for pressing the sheet bundle (6) against the other side wall (13) on the inner surface of one side wall (14) of the side walls (13), (14) of the tray body (1). (5) is provided, and the misaligned paper (61) is often placed on the upper end surface of the biasing member (5).
The present invention clarifies a paper feed tray that can solve the above problems.
[0006]
Note that the paper feed tray of Patent Document 1 does not have a spring that urges the lifting member upward, and the lifting member is in contact with the bottom of the tray until the paper feeding tray is set in the printer. For this reason, since the sheet bundle can be completely accommodated in the tray before the lid is closed, there is no problem of misalignment of the paper when the lid is closed.
[0007]
[Patent Document 1]
JP-A-8-244959
[Means for solving the problems]
The present invention relates to a tray main body (1), a lifting member (2) for lifting a paper drawer side end of a sheet disposed at the bottom of the tray main body and accommodated in the tray, and the lifting member (2) in the lifting direction. In a paper feed tray of a printer configured by an urging spring and a lid (3) which is attached to the tray body (1) so as to be rotatable and can be opened and closed and whose paper withdrawal side is a free end, the lid (3 ) Is formed with a convex portion (34) so that the side opposite to the paper lifting side can be pressed downward.
[0009]
[Action and effect]
In the course of closing the lid (3), the convex portion (34) on the lid (3) presses the sheet bundle (6) inclined obliquely by the lifting member (2) in the tray body (1). .
Since the convex portion (34) is located on the rotation center side of the lid (3), it presses the portion of the paper bundle (6) that is fitted into the tray body (1). For this reason, no positional deviation occurs in the paper (61).
[0010]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
1 is a paper feed tray, and FIG. 2 is an exploded view thereof.
The paper feed tray is composed of a tray main body (1), a lifting member (2) for lifting a paper drawer side end of a bundle of papers disposed at the bottom of the tray main body and housed in the tray, and a lifting member (2). It comprises a spring (4) that biases in the direction and a lid (3) that is attached to the tray body (1) so as to be able to open and close by rotation and has a free end on the paper drawer side.
In the following description, “front” is the paper drawer side for the sheet bundle (6) accommodated in the tray.
[0011]

The claw pieces (22) and (22) at the front end of the lifting member (2) are engaged with the longitudinal grooves (17) and (17) of the tray body front wall (11).
Two coil springs (4) are interposed between the tray body bottom plate (15) and the lifting member (2). The lower end of the spring (4) is fitted into the spring seat (10) to prevent displacement.
The claw piece (22) of the lifting member (2) hits the upper end closing edge of the longitudinal groove (17), and the rising height of the lifting member (2) is restricted.
The free end of the lifting member (2) is at a position slightly lower than the height of the front wall (11) of the tray body (1).
7 and 8 show a state in which the spring (4) is removed and the lifting member (2) is brought into close contact with the bottom plate (15).
[0014]
In order for the lifting member (2) to stably support the sheet bundle (6), the width of the lifting member (2) is in a range not buffered by the biasing member (5) on the tray body (1). It is desirable to make it wide.
In the embodiment, the auxiliary tray frame (7) shown in FIG. 8 is detachably fitted to the tray body (1) so that a small-size sheet can be used. ) Is not damped.
[0015]
As shown in FIG. 7, the auxiliary tray frame (7) is a rectangular frame constituted by a front frame member (71), a rear frame member (72), and both side frame members (73) (74).
At the front part of the side frame members (73) and (74) of the auxiliary tray frame (7), a notch (73a) into which the lower edge of the notch part (18) of the tray body (1) is fitted is formed.
The one side frame member (74) has a leaf spring that presses the side edge of the sheet bundle against the other side frame member (73) in the same manner as the biasing member (5) of the tray body (1). A plurality of urging members (75) having a shape are provided.
[0016]
As shown in FIG. 8, in a state where the auxiliary tray frame (7) is set in the tray main body (1), the rear frame member (72) of the auxiliary tray frame (7) hits the inner surface of the rear wall (12) of the tray main body. The front ends of the members (73) and (74) fit into the left and right cutouts (18) and (18) of the tray body front wall (11), and the front frame member (71) of the auxiliary tray frame (7) Located outside the front wall (11).
The auxiliary tray frame (7) is pressed against the opposite side walls (13) and (14) by the biasing member (5) of the tray body.
The height of the outer peripheral wall of the auxiliary tray frame (7) is aligned with the wall height of the outer periphery of the tray body.
A space surrounded by the side frame members (73) and (74), the rear frame member (72), and the tray main body front wall (11) of the auxiliary tray frame (7) is a small-size sheet storage unit.
[0017]
The lid (3) has long leg pieces (32) and (32) projecting downward on the left and right side edges of the rectangular lid plate (31).
The front end of the leg piece (32) is located behind the front end of the lid plate (31), and the rear part of the leg piece (32) (32) extends rearward from the rear end of the lid plate (31).
As shown in FIG. 3, a round shaft (33) protrudes from the inner surface of the rear end of the leg pieces (32) and (32), and the round shaft (33) rotates into the shaft hole (19) of the tray body (1). Fits movably.
A finger hook recess (38) is formed at the front ends of the leg pieces (32) and (32), and a protrusion (39) is projected from the back surface of the recess (38). The protrusion (39) hits the recess (19a) formed in the side walls (13) and (14) by the elastic deformation of the resin after hitting the tray body side walls (13) and (14) when closing the lid (3). The lid (3) can be softly locked (locked) in the closed state by fitting.
When the lid (3) is locked, the lid plate (31) is parallel to the tray body bottom plate (15), and the height of the lid plate (31) is aligned with the height of the wall around the tray body (1). .
The free end of the lid plate (31) is located about 8 mm behind the front surface of the tray body front wall (11).
[0018]
A feature of the present invention is that a convex portion (34) capable of pressing the sheet bundle (6) is formed on the lower surface of the lid (3).
In the embodiment, four convex portions (34), (35), (36), and (37) project from the rotation center side of the lid (3) to the free end side at substantially equal intervals, and each convex portion (34). (35), (36), and (37) present ridges extending in a direction perpendicular to the paper drawing direction.
The protrusions (34), (35), (36), and (37) have a protruding height that is larger toward the protrusion closer to the center of rotation of the lid (3). The sheets can be pressed in order from the convex portion close to the center of rotation of the body (3).
Before closing the lid (3), the free end of the lid (3) presses the front part of the sheet bundle downward against the spring (4), and when the lid (3) is closed, 6) can be completely accommodated in the tray body (1).
[0019]
In the embodiment, in a state in which the sheet bundle (6) is completely accommodated in the tray body (1), the convex portions (34) (35) (36) (37) of the lid (3) The heights of the convex portions (34), (35), (36), and (37) are determined so as not to contact each other.
Specifically, the heights of the protrusions (34), (35), (36), and (37) are 4 mm, 2.5 mm, 2 mm, and 1 mm, and the distance between the protrusions is about 20 mm, with the most protruding part at the end. The distance from the convex part (34) having a large height to the inner surface of the rear wall (12) of the tray body is about 42 mm.
[0020]
Each convex part (34) (35) (36) (37) is more desirable for preventing paper misalignment as both ends thereof are closer to the tray body side wall (13) (14). The auxiliary tray frame (7) can be mounted on the auxiliary tray frame (7).
However, if grooves, dents, etc. are formed in the auxiliary tray frame (7) to release the projections (34) (35) (36) (37), the projections (34) (35) (36) (37) can be extended close to the tray body side walls (13) and (14).
In the embodiment, a part of the projecting portions (35) is formed to have such a length that the end portion enters the escape portion (76) between the biasing members (75) and (75) of the auxiliary tray frame (7). Yes.
In the convex portions (34), (35), (36), and (37), each corner including both ends is rounded and chamfered to prevent the paper from being damaged.
[0021]
Thus, the lid (3) is opened, and the sheet bundle (6) is placed on the lifting member (2) with its longitudinal end placed against the inner surface of the rear wall (12) of the tray body (1).
The force of the spring (4) is greater than the weight of the sheet bundle (6), and the sheet bundle (6) is inclined along the inclination of the lifting member (2). That is, the rear part of the sheet bundle (6) is accommodated in the tray body (1), but the front end protrudes from the tray.
[0022]
On the way to close the lid (3), of the convex portions (34), (35), (36) and (37) of the lid (3), the convex portion (34) most used at the center of rotation of the lid (3) is The rear part of the sheet bundle (6) is pressed downward.
The rear part of the sheet bundle (6) is fitted in the tray body (1), and even if the rear part of the sheet bundle (6) is pressed downward by the convex part (34), there is no room for misalignment of the sheets. Absent.
As the lid (3) rotates in the closing direction, the convex portions (35) (36) (37) press the sheet bundle (6) in order from the rotation center of the lid (3), and the sheet bundle (6) ) Gradually fit into the tray body (1) from the rear side.
Before the lid (3) closes, the free end of the lid (3) presses the sheet bundle (6). The sheet bundle (6) has already been raised (34) (35) (36) (37). Therefore, even if the free end of the lid (3) hits the sheet bundle (6), the uppermost sheet (61) is effectively prevented from being displaced.
[0023]
In the embodiment, the convex portions (34), (35), (36), and (37) are separated from the sheet bundle (6) and press the sheet bundle (6) with the lid (3) locked in the closed state. Therefore, when the uppermost sheet (61) is pulled out by the pulling roller, the pulling resistance does not increase.
[0024]
The shape, size, arrangement, and number of the convex portions (34), (35), (36), and (37) can be changed as appropriate according to the size of the tray, the type of paper, and the like. In short, before the free end of the lid (3) presses the sheet bundle (6) by the convex part, the rear part of the sheet bundle (6), that is, the rear end side fitted into the tray body (1) is arranged. If you can press.
Even if only one convex portion (34) capable of pressing the sheet bundle (6) is provided at the rear portion of the lid plate of the lid (3), it is effective in preventing sheet misalignment.
Further, the convex portion is a long ridge in the front-rear direction of the lid (3), and the ridge is gradually lowered from the rotation center side of the lid (3) to the free end of the lid (3). If this is the case, it is effective in preventing paper misalignment as described above. Providing a plurality of strips near the left and right ends of the lid (3) so that the left and right ends of the sheet can be pressed is more effective in preventing sheet misalignment.
[0025]
Even when the auxiliary tray frame (7) is attached to the tray main body (1) and small-size paper is fed, the same effect as described above is effective in preventing paper misalignment.
[0026]
The above description of the embodiments is for explaining the present invention, and should not be construed as limiting the invention described in the claims or reducing the scope thereof. In addition, the configuration of each part of the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and various modifications can be made within the technical scope described in the claims.
For example, the paper feed tray of the present invention is not limited to a printer, and any other device that feeds paper, such as a paper feed tray of a copying machine, may be used.
