P´NH3+PCO+PCO2+PH2+PN2>PEX

[0004]
[Problem to be solved]
In the above-described nitrogen oxide treatment system, ammonia NH3Unreacted hydrogen H not synthesized to2And nitrogen N2Is separated from ammonia and returned to the ammonia synthesis step again, so that high-purity ammonia NH3Is added to the exhaust gas as it is, ammonia NH3Is the residual oxygen O in the exhaust gas2May react with the nitrogen oxides NO in the exhaust gas.XAll ammonia NH in the reduction reaction with3Can not participate and the original nitrogen oxide NOXProcessing system efficiency could not be achieved.
[0005]
In the nitrogen oxide treatment system described above, the synthesized ammonia NH3Is stored in the ammonia tank. Therefore, depending on the pressure and temperature conditions in the ammonia tank, ammonia NH3Is hydrogen H2And nitrogen N2As the ammonia concentration decreases, the amount of ammonia in the tank decreases, and the ammonia concentration fluctuates. However, even if the amount of discharged ammonia was controlled, the nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas discharged from the internal combustion engine could not be removed without excess or deficiency.
[0006]
Furthermore, ammonia NH3Is concentrated and stored in a tank and injected.3If the gas is at a higher pressure than the exhaust gas, the highly toxic ammonia NH3Was likely to be released into the atmosphere, which was not desirable for safety.
[0007]
Furthermore, ammonia NH3Is converted into a liquid and is ejected at a vaporization pressure, so that liquefaction energy is large and energy loss occurs.
[0008]
The present invention relates to an improvement in a system and an apparatus for treating nitrogen oxides in exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine that have solved such a problem.3At the optimum partial pressure, and unreacted carbon monoxide CO in the shift reaction and unreacted hydrogen H in the ammonia synthesis.2And nitrogen N2And simultaneously injecting ammonia NH3With NOXOxide NO that can be effectively used for the treatment of wastewaterXIt is an object to provide a processing system and an apparatus.
[0009]
Means and effects for solving the problem
According to the first aspect of the present invention, air is supplied with oxygen O2And nitrogen N2Gas separation step for separating the hydrocarbons into hydrocarbons for use in internal combustion engine fuelnHmFrom hydrogen H2Fuel reforming process for producing water and carbon monoxide CO; and water H using the carbon monoxide CO generated in the fuel reforming process.2O is catalyzed by hydrogen H2A shift reaction step of reducing to hydrogen, and hydrogen H generated in the fuel reforming step and the shift reaction step.2And nitrogen N generated in the gas separation step.2And ammonia directly to form ammonia NH3Ammonia synthesis step of synthesizing the ammonia, and ammonia NH synthesized in the ammonia synthesis step.3And water H in the shift reaction step.2O to hydrogen H2Carbon monoxide that could not be reduced to hydrogen and unreacted hydrogen H not synthesized in the ammonia synthesis step.2And nitrogen N2And a step of reducing nitrogen oxides discharged into exhaust gas.
[0010]
Since the invention according to
[0011]
Thus, ammonia NH3And oxygen O2Bonds with hydrogen H2Nitrogen oxide NOXNH reacts selectively and easily with water3Is hydrogen H2NOx in exhaust gas in preference to CO and carbon monoxide COXAs a result, the nitrogen oxide NOXAmmonia NH for treatment3Effectively use nitrogen oxide NOXCan be processed.
[0012]
In particular, in a lean burn combustion state in which the amount of oxygen in the exhaust gas is large, hydrogen H2Rich in oxygen O by carbon monoxide and CO2Is removed, and the oxygen partial pressure in the exhaust gas is reduced.2Ammonia NH3Is suppressed, the nitrogen oxides NOXVery high throughput and efficiency.
[0013]
Further, the invention described in
[0014]
The invention according to
[0015]
And even if the nitrogen oxides NO in the exhaust gasXNH3 in excess of sufficient to reduce3Is released into the exhaust gas, but the oxidation catalyst2And H2Detoxified by O.
[0016]
Further, the invention according to
[0017]
According to the third aspect of the present invention, the ammonia NH synthesized in the various steps as described above is used.3Since the total pressure of the mixed exhaust gas that is mixed with various gases such as carbon monoxide CO and an unreacted gas that is not reacted in these various processes and discharged into the exhaust gas is higher than the pressure of the exhaust gas, The mixed exhaust gas with the synthesis gas and the unreacted gas in the various steps is smoothly discharged into the exhaust gas.
[0018]
Still further, according to the invention described in claim 4, the ammonia NH synthesized in the ammonia synthesis step is used.3So that the partial pressure of the ammonia NH becomes lower than the pressure of the exhaust gas.3Is controlled.
[0019]
In the invention according to claim 4, the ammonia NH synthesized in the ammonia synthesis step is used.3Is lower than the pressure of the exhaust gas, the synthetic ammonia NH3Is released into the exhaust gas together with other gases, the synthetic ammonia NH3Is significantly lower than the equilibrium pressure for ammonia synthesis, so that2And hydrogen H2Is decomposed into highly toxic ammonia NH3Is never released into the atmosphere.
[0020]
Further, according to the invention described in
[0021]
According to the fifth aspect of the present invention, the nitrogen oxide NO in the exhaust gas of the internal combustion engine according to the first aspect is provided.XThe processing system can be easily executed.
[0022]
Further, the invention according to
[0023]
According to the sixth aspect of the present invention, the nitrogen oxide NO in the exhaust gas of the internal combustion engine according to the second aspect is provided.XThe processing system can be reliably executed.
[0024]
Exhaust gas pressure is PEXThen the pressure P from the pure ammonia tankNH3Ammonia NH3To inject ammonia, the ammonia pressure PNH3Is the exhaust gas pressure PEXHigher pressure is required. However, due to energy and safety concerns, the ammonia pressure PNH3Want to lower.
[0025]
Therefore, as described in
[0026]
According to the invention of
P 'NH3+ PCO+ PCO2+ PH2+ PN2> PEX
And the above-described ammonia NH3, Carbon monoxide CO, carbon dioxide CO2, Hydrogen H2And nitrogen N2Can be reliably discharged into the exhaust gas.
[0027]
The invention according to
[0028]
In the invention according to
[0029]
Furthermore, in fact, the nitrogen oxides NOXNO when removingXSince the amount is small in the exhaust gas, a small amount of ammonia NH3Is difficult to control, but low-
[0030]
Further, the invention according to
[0031]
According to the ninth aspect of the present invention, even if the amount of ammonia synthesized by the ammonia synthesizing unit and the amount of ammonia released from the nitrogen oxide reducing gas releasing unit fluctuate with time, The imbalance between the amount of synthesized ammonia and the amount of released ammonia is compensated by the buffer tank, and the nitrogen oxide NOXCan be reliably removed.
[0032]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, the principle of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG.
[0033]
Air is nitrogen N2And oxygen O2Hydrocarbon C, which is a fuel for internal combustion enginesnHmFor example, gasoline C7.25H14.79To the separated oxygen O2In addition to the incomplete combustion, by adding water, the following autothermal reaction is approximated by iso-octane and represented by a reaction formula,
C8H18+ 12.5O2→ 9H2+ 8CO2 (Exothermic reaction)
C8H18+ 8H2O → 17H2+ 8CO (endothermic reaction)
And hydrogen H2To generate carbon monoxide CO and, accompanying this, partially oxidize carbon monoxide CO
CO + 1 / 2O2 → CO2
To
[0034]
With the carbon monoxide CO obtained by this autothermal reaction, water H2O to hydrogen H2(Shift reaction described below),
CO + H2O → H2+ CO2 (Exothermic reaction)
Hydrogen H obtained by autothermal reaction and shift reaction2And the nitrogen N obtained by separating air2And alumina Al2O3Ru on a ruthenium Ru catalyst using magnesium oxide and MgO as a support, or an ammonia synthesis catalyst obtained by adding a promoter such as cesium hydroxide CsOH or potassium hydroxide KOH to the obtained ammonia NH3And unreacted hydrogen H2And nitrogen N2And carbon monoxide CO and carbon dioxide CO2Are discharged into the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine (not shown), which is assumed to be a gasoline engine but may be a diesel engine.
[0035]
In the exhaust gas, hydrogen H2Is the fastest diffusing and bonds with oxygen in the exhaust gas with a high degree of bonding, so that the oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas is2Carbon monoxide CO, which could not be reacted in the shift reaction,2Reacts with carbon dioxide CO2And the oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas further decreases, and finally ammonia NH3Is oxygen O in exhaust gas2Reacts with the oxygen O in the exhaust gas.2Ammonia NH3Is reduced, ammonia NH3, The efficiency of removing nitrogen oxides NOx increases.
[0036]
According to the current technology, when carbon monoxide is present during ammonia synthesis, the catalyst for the ammonia synthesis reaction is poisoned. Therefore, carbon monoxide CO remaining in the shift synthesis reaction is separated and removed by a separation membrane adsorbent or the like. By bypassing the ammonia reaction, this carbon monoxide CO is added to the ammonia NH in the exhaust gas.3, Hydrogen H2, Nitrogen N2It should be discharged together with.
[0037]
In addition, when research on an ammonia synthesis reaction catalyst progresses and an ammonia synthesis reaction catalyst not poisoned by carbon monoxide CO is developed, hydrogen H after the shift reaction is developed.2There is no need to separate and remove carbon monoxide CO from CO2.
[0038]
Thus, hydrogen H2And when the oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas is reduced by CO and carbon monoxide CO, ammonia NH3But other hydrogen H2Nitrogen oxide NOx in exhaust gas with priority over
4NH3+ 4NO + O2→ 4N2+ 6H2O
4NH3+ 2NO2+ O2→ 3N2+ 6H2O
And the nitrogen oxides NOx in the exhaust gas are efficiently and reliably removed.
[0039]
Furthermore, carbon dioxide CO2However, since the operating temperature range is higher in the partial oxidation reaction,
CO + 1 / 2O2→ CO2Reaction easily occurs.
[0040]
In addition, hydrogen H2, In addition to the autothermal reaction that produces carbon monoxide CO, hydrogen H2, Partial oxidation reaction (exothermic reaction) to produce carbon monoxide CO, or hydrogen H2H obtained by a steam reforming reaction (endothermic reaction) that generates carbon monoxide and CO2With ammonia NH3May be used as the raw material gas.
