Description
【0001】
近年、高硬度が要求される用途のための材料として、BCXN(ただし、Xは、0より大きい実数である。)

佐々木 高義 著、「NEW DIAMOND」、Vol.10、No.3(1994)、p.14
【0006】

Then, the equation (8) After generating the Pirazoboru polymer with a methylenedioxy pyrazole was reacted with triethyl borane and toluene, shows a reaction to produce BC 2.5 N. In the above formula (9), ABS is an abbreviation for acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer. Further, in the above formula (10), AS is an abbreviation for acrylonitrile-styrene copolymer.
[0027]
When the raw material compound is supplied to the reaction region, for example, the raw material compound is supplied by dissolving it in a hydrocarbon, another organic solvent, or a small amount of an inorganic solvent (sulfur, sulfur compound, or the like). Then, it can be supplied stably.
[0028]
When supplying the raw material compound to the reaction region, a carrier gas may be used. Examples of the carrier gas include rare gases such as helium, neon, and argon, hydrogen, and nitrogen.
[0029]
The raw material compound supplied to the reaction zone is decomposed, and the hexagonal BC X N according to the present invention is formed in a suspended state. At this time, the residence time of the raw material compound in the reaction region (length of the reaction region / flow rate of the raw material compound in the reaction region) is usually within 1 minute, preferably 0.1 to 30 seconds, particularly preferably 1 to 30 seconds. -20 seconds.
[0030]
Hexagonal BC X N of the present invention is a hexagonal BC X N obtained by the production method of the above-mentioned hexagonal BC X N. This hexagonal BC X N has a layered structure similar to graphite or hBN. That is, it is considered that this hexagonal BC X N has a planar sheet structure of a network in which hexagons are continuous with each atom of B, C, and N. Examples of the method for identifying hexagonal BC X N include a fluorescent X-ray analysis method and a powder X-ray diffraction method. In the fluorescent X-ray analysis method, the type and content of existing elements can be obtained by qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis, or the like. In the powder X-ray diffraction method, when the type of the element of the product is known in advance, it is possible to identify an unknown substance and to know the crystal structure.
[0031]
Cubic BC X N of the present invention is a cubic BC X N having a cubic structure formed by converting the hexagonal BC X N described above.
[0032]
As a method of converting to a cubic BC X N having a hexagonal BC X N cubic structure, high temperature, and a method of reacting under the conditions of high pressure. The temperature is preferably in the range of 1000 to 1200C. If the temperature is not within this range, the cubic crystal may not be formed. The pressure is generally in the range of 1 to 100 Pa, preferably in the range of 7.0 to 15 Pa. If the pressure is not within this range, the cubic crystal may not be formed. As means for creating specific high-temperature and high-pressure conditions, there are known high-pressure generators such as a piston-cylinder type apparatus, a belt type apparatus, a bridgeman anvil, and a polyhedral anvil. Further, the hexagonal BC X N may be instantaneously exploded and burned to be converted to the cubic BC X N.
[0033]
Here, the hardness and the bulk modulus are correlated. The bulk modulus of the hardest diamond is about 440 GPa, and the bulk modulus of cBN, which is said to be the hardest next to diamond, is about 360 GPa. The bulk modulus of the cubic BC X N of the present invention is, for example, about 400 GPa. Therefore, the cubic BC X N thus obtained has high hardness.
[0034]
Also, the cubic BC X N according to the present invention is much more chemically stable than diamond. Therefore, the cubic BC X N is suitable as a tool and an abrasive. Considering that diamond easily reacts with iron at high temperatures, the cubic BC X N of the present invention is suitable as a tool or abrasive for processing iron-based materials.
[0035]
Further, the cubic BC X N according to the present invention has good thermal conductivity. Therefore, the cubic BC X N can be used for a heat dissipation member, a heat sink, a heat insulating material, and the like.

(Comparative Example 1)
By a conventional CVD method, boron trichloride (BCl 3 ) and acetonitrile (CH 3 CN) were used as raw materials and reacted to obtain a product BC 2 N.
[0057]
The obtained product BC 2 N was identified by a powder X-ray diffraction method. As a result, it was confirmed that the product BC 2 N had the same layered structure as graphite and had a so-called turbostratic structure in which the layers were disturbed and laminated. Was.
[0058]
Next, as in Example 1, the product BC 2 N was reacted by instantaneously exploding and burning under the conditions of 1500 to 3000 ° C. and 1000 to 10000 Pa to obtain BC 2 N. .
[0059]
As a result of identifying the obtained BC 2 N by a powder X-ray diffraction method, it was not cubic BC 2 N having a cubic structure.
[0060]
(Evaluation method and evaluation result)
The bulk modulus (measured by UMS-MS, manufactured by Toshiba Tungaloy Co., Ltd.) of the BC 2 N obtained in Example 1 and Comparative Example 1 after the high-temperature and high-pressure treatment was measured.
[0061]
The bulk modulus of BC 2 N according to Example 1 was 400 Gpa. Also. The bulk modulus of BC 2 N according to Comparative Example 1 was 380 Gpa. For reference, the bulk modulus of the diamond was 440 Gpa. Thus, the bulk modulus of BC 2 N according to the first embodiment, greater than the bulk modulus of BC 2 N of Comparative Example 1, BC 2 N according to the first embodiment, it can be seen that the hardness is greater . Therefore, according to the method for producing hexagonal BC 2 N according to the present invention, it is understood that cubic BC X N having high hardness can be obtained.
[0062]
