本発明は、ローカルネットワーク管理サービス提供方法に関する。

【従来の技術】
家庭や小規模な範囲でローカルネットワークが構築され運用されている。このようなローカルネットワークでは、十分な知識を有するネットワーク管理者がいない場合や、諸問題に対応してネットワークを十分に管理・運用することが難しい場合がある。
さらに、家庭用に構築されるホームネットワークでは、いわゆるネット家電やオーディオ製品、防犯装置などの多種多様な機器が、ホームネットワークに接続される場合がある。このような多種多様な機器は、それぞれ設定方法が異なる場合がある。このため、利用者はホームネットワークに接続される機器ごとに必要な設定を行う必要がある。
このような多種多様な機器の設定を行うことは、利用者によっては、多大な労力を要する場合がある。
さらに、ローカルネットワークは、インターネット等の共用の外部ネットワークに接続されている場合がある。ローカルネットワークと外部ネットワークの間は、ゲートサーバやインターネットサービスプロバイダのファイアーウォールなどで防御される場合がある。

さらに、ネットワークに接続される機器は、接続されるサーバなどのコンピュータに、当機器の仕様を送信することができるプラグアンドプレイ機能を有する場合がある。

図11にホームネットワークに例示されるローカルネットワークを取り巻く環境が示される。ホームネットワークが外部ネットワークと接続される場合、外部からの不正アクセスや通信情報に含まれるコンピュータウイルスを監視する必要がある。さらに、外部へのプライバシー情報の流出を防止する必要がある。さらに、ホームネットワークから特定の外部Webサイトへの閲覧を制限する場合がある。
一方、ホームネットワーク内では、アクセス可能なユーザの管理、各ユーザの権限管理、ネットワーク構成機器の設定、ネットワーク構成機器の故障や異常の管理をする必要がある。

さらに、利用者1が家庭の外で使用する携帯通信端末17が、移動体通信事業者通信装置30を介して、インターネット50に接続される。携帯通信端末17は、インターネット50を介して、ホームネットワーク11に接続可能である。
ホームネットワーク11と携帯通信端末17が、一つのネットワークに擬制できる場合ある。この場合、ホームネットワーク11と携帯通信端末17を含めてプライベートネットワーク10と記す場合がある。
さらに、インターネット50には、機器メーカサーバ40が接続される場合がある。

これらのホームサーバ12に接続された機器は、ホームサーバ12とインターネット50を介して、携帯通信端末17や、家庭用ネットワーク運用・代行事業者端末20から遠隔操作や設定変更が可能である。これらのホームサーバ12に接続された機器は、CPUを具備し、所定のプログラムを実行することができる。

通信設定は、携帯通信端末17および移動体通信業者通信装置30の通信の設定情報、ホームネットワーク11内の通信の設定情報に例示される。
異常発生時の連絡先の情報は、各機器で異常が検出された時にどこに連絡するかの情報に例示される。具体的には、防犯設備に異常が発生した場合は、利用者の携帯電話に連絡することに例示される。
異常発生時の対処方法は、異常が発生した機器の電源を切る、異常が発生した機器を再起動するなどの対処に例示される。
