本発明は、扉などの開閉体に内蔵された錠箱機構部に対し回転による操作力を入力し、錠箱内に設けたロック部材を開閉体枠に対して進退動作させるサムターンに関する。

【従来の技術】
従来、サムターン付きの施錠装置は、扉などの開閉体に錠箱が内蔵され、錠箱には、開閉体の屋外側に露出するシリンダー錠と、開閉体の屋内側に露出する回転式のサムターンとが設けられている。

錠箱には、ロック部材である例えばデッドボルトが開閉体の端面(木口)から進退自在に設けられている。
この種の施錠装置では、屋外側に露出したシリンダー錠の鍵孔に、合鍵(キー)を挿入して回転操作することによって、開閉体の木口よりデッドボルトが進退され、建物躯体側の開閉体枠である開口枠体に設けたストライクに対して施解錠が行われるようになっている。
また、屋内側からは、下記特許文献1に示されるような翼板形状のサムターンの摘みが回転操作されるのみで、デッドボルトが進退され、開閉体の施解錠が簡便に行えるようになっている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
近年、マンションや住宅の玄関扉等の開閉体、あるいはこれら玄関扉等の開閉体近傍における開口枠体の周囲である壁部分に、高級感や優美性を高める目的で、ガラス板を嵌め込んだ小窓付のものが多用されるようになってきている。
ところが、このような開閉体の小窓や壁部分の小窓では、ガラス板が割られると、外部から、手を差し入れてサムターンを不正に操作したり、先端を鉤状に曲げた針金等を挿入して、サムターンが不正に操作されてしまう虞れがある。

一般的に、扉に多用される回転式のサムターンは、屋内側に露出する摘み部の翼板部に針金の鉤状先端等を掛止し、回転モーメントを与えることにより不正な解錠操作が可能となる場合がある。

また、サムターンは、小窓の無い開閉体においても、針金を挿入する隙間や孔などが開閉体自体あるいは壁部分にあれば、同様に不正解錠される虞れがあった。

本発明は上記状況に鑑みてなされたもので、屋外側からの挿入等の不正な解錠を防止することのできるサムターンを提供し、もって、施錠装置の不正解錠防止機能の向上を図ることを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
次に、上記の課題を解決するための手段を、実施の形態に対応する図面を参照して説明する。
この発明の請求項1記載のサムターンは、錠箱機構部に回動操作力を入力するサムターン軸3と、
該サムターン軸3を回動自在に支持し、扉2の屋内面2a側に固設される固定筒4と、
前記サムターン軸3の端部に固着され屋内側に向く開口部9aを備える可動筒9と、
前記固定筒4に連結されて、前記扉2の屋内面2a側に突出し、前記可動筒9の周囲を覆う筒状の化粧リング5と、
該可動筒9の直径方向の支軸13を介して該可動筒9の開口部9aに回動自在となって設けられるとともに、裏面に磁性体16を備えた摘み部材11と、
前記摘み部材11の表面を前記可動筒9の開口部9aに沿わせ、該開口部9aを塞いだ状態で該摘み部材11の回動を規制する規制手段と、
前記規制手段による前記摘み部材11の規制を解除し、前記摘み部材11を回動自在とする解除手段25と、
前記可動筒9内に設けられ、前記磁性体16に吸着し、前記摘み部材11の板面を前記サムターン軸3の軸線方向と略平行となるように保持する磁石よりなる保持手段29と、
を具備したことを特徴とする。

このサムターンでは、摘み部材11の操作時、解除手段25をまず操作し、規制手段による回動の規制を解き、摘み部材11を押すことで、摘み部材11が可動筒9内で回動し、回動側の一端が可動筒9から突出して、摘み部材11の操作が可能となる。一方、通常状態では、摘み部材11を可動筒9に収容して可動筒9および化粧リング5から突出させないことで、摘み部材11の操作が不能となる。
したがって、扉2等に設けた小窓を割り外部から手を差し入れたり、或いは扉と扉枠の隙間から針金等を差し入れることによりサムターン1を不正に操作しようとしても、摘み部材11の正しい操作を行うことが出来ず操作力を錠箱機構部に入力して解錠を行うことができず、施錠装置の防犯性が高まる。

以下、本発明に係るサムターンの好適な実施の形態を図面を参照して詳細に説明する。

扉2には図示しない錠箱を設けてあり、この錠箱はラッチボルト、デッドボルト、及びこれらを扉の木口から進退させる錠箱機構部を内設している。扉2は屋内側の面2aにサムターン1を備えている。上記した錠箱のデッドボルトは、扉2の屋外側の面に設けたシリンダー錠をキーによって、又はこのサムターン1を回動することによって扉木口から進退可能となる。

サムターン1は、錠箱機構部に回動操作力を入力するサムターン軸3を有している。
サムターン軸3は、扉2の屋内面2a側、好ましくは錠箱側面に固定した筒状の固定筒4に軸受6を介し回動自在に支持される。そして扉2内に配置される先端3aが、錠箱機構部に連動連結される。なお、サムターン軸3は、中途にEリング7などが配設されることにより、固定筒4に対し抜脱不能とされる。

固定筒4には、化粧リング5が連結される。化粧リング5は、扉2の屋内面2a側に突出する。固定筒4と化粧リング5との連結構造としては、図2に示すように、固定筒4の先端に取り付けられたフランジ8aを備えた支持筒8と化粧リング5の後端に形成された縁部5aとの間に圧縮コイルバネよりなる付勢部材12を介して連結される。化粧リング5は、付勢部材12の付勢力により、固定筒4の後端4aの方向に付勢され、後端側外縁5bが扉2に密着するようになっている。

サムターン軸3の屋内側の端部には、一端側である屋内側に向く開口部9aを備えた可動筒9を固着している。可動筒9は、化粧リング5の内側に遊嵌して、この化粧リング5に周囲を覆われるように配置されて、回動自在となる。
可動筒9は、底板部10をサムターン軸3の端面に固着してサムターン軸3と一体となる。また、サムターン軸3と可動筒9とは、無垢の円柱材から切削して形成する他、一体の成形品として形成してもよい。

本実施の形態では、可動筒9の開口部9aは、サムターン軸3の軸線を中心とする略円形開口となっており、すなわち可動筒9は略円筒形状となっている。
可動筒9の開口部9a近傍の側面部には、係合孔14が1個所穿設されている。また、本実施の形態では、可動筒9内の底部である底板部10に、図1,2に示すような凹部10aが形成される。この凹部10aは、後述する摘み部材11が動作した際の逃げとなる。

可動筒9の円形開口部9aには、略円板状の摘み部材11を配設している。
摘み部材11は、可動筒9の直径方向の支軸13を介して可動筒9の内部に回動自在となっている。したがって、摘み部材11は、支軸13を中心とした回動によって、図4(c)に示すように水平方向に姿勢することで可動筒9から略半分が外方へ突出し、また、図4(a)に示すように垂直方向に姿勢することで可動筒9の開口部9aに沿い、開口部9aを塞いだ状態で位置して可動筒9に収容可能となっている。なお、この摘み部材11の支軸13の位置と上記係合孔14の位置とは、中心軸線に対して略90度間隔とされる。

また、この摘み部材11には、可動筒9の開口部9aに沿い塞いだ状態の可動筒9の内方を向く裏面に、磁性体を素材として形成された裏板16が固定されている。この裏板16は、摘み部材11本体の裏面に凹設される溝18を塞いでいる。

この摘み部材11裏面の凹溝18は、摘み部材11の支軸13の方向と直交する方向を長手方向として形成される。この凹溝18には、規制部材を構成する係止杆21が摺動自在に設けられる。係止杆21の先端は、略くさび状に形成されてラッチ部22を構成し、摘み部材11の端縁より突出している。係止杆21は、凹溝18内に設けられる付勢手段としての圧縮コイルバネ23にて、先端のラッチ部22が常に突出するよう付勢されている。この突出するラッチ部22は、可動筒9の開口部9a近傍の側面部に穿設された係合孔14に嵌入し、係合する。

係止杆21には、摘み部材11の表面より突出する解除手段としてのスライダ片25が設けられている。本実施の形態では、スライダ片25は係止杆21と一体構造とされており、摘み部材11の表面に貫通形成され凹溝18と連通する通し孔11cを介して表面より突出する。また、このスライダ片25は、摘み部材11の回動上端11a側の半部に配置される。したがって、摘み部材11の表面より、このスライダ片25を操作することで、係止杆21を摺動移動させることが可能となる。すなわち、圧縮コイルバネ23の付勢力に抗して、係止杆21をスライドさせることで、係止杆先端のラッチ部22が後退することとなる。

可動筒9の内部にはストッパ部15を備えている。ストッパ部15は、図1,2に示すように、可動筒9内周面より突出して断面視略L字形に形成してあり、一方の水平端面15aが水平方向に姿勢した摘み部材11の回動上端11a裏面に当接し、水平端面15aと直角をなす垂直端面15bが規制手段を構成するストッパ段部27とされ垂直方向に姿勢した摘み部材11の回動下端15b裏面に当接する。
したがって、ストッパ部15は、可動筒に収容状態の摘み部材11にストッパ段部が当接し、かつ回動によって可動筒から突出した摘み部材11に当接してそれ以上の回動を規制するようになっている。

ストッパ部15の水平端面15aには、保持手段29が配設される。この保持手段29は、永久磁石などの磁石よりなり、摘み部材11裏面の裏板16を吸着保持する。すなわち、図2中二点鎖線、および図4(c)に示すように、摘み部材11が支軸13を中心として回動した際に、水平方向に姿勢し、可動筒9から略半分が外方へ突出した状態を保持するようになる。

次に、このサムターン1の使用方法を説明する。
サムターン1は、通常時、図4(a)に示すように、係止杆21先端のラッチ部22が可動筒90係合孔14に嵌入して係合状態となり、摘み部材11の回動下端11bがストッパ部15のストッパ段部27に当接し、可動筒9に係止し、この可動筒9に収容状態となっている。
したがって、この状態で摘み部材11は、その表面が、可動筒9の開口部9aと同一面となって突出せず、また、扉面2aに平行な状態となっており、回動操作が行えない。

一方、垂直方向に姿勢した摘み部材11表面の上半部に位置するスライダ片25を圧縮コイルバネ23の付勢力に抗して下方向にスライド(図4(b)矢印a)させ、係止杆21先端と係合孔14との係合状態を解除すると、あるいは、このスライド操作とともに、この表面の回動上端11aを図4(b)の矢印b方向に押すと、摘み部材11が支軸13を中心に回動する(図4(c)矢印c)。

なお、本実施の形態では、スライダ片25の位置を摘み部材11の上半部に配置するとともに、摘み部材11の表面から大きく突出しない形状としたので、係止杆21の解除のための操作が、手指にてスライダ片25を摘み、スライドさせる操作ではなく、指先でスライダ片25を押さえながらスライドさせる操作となり、このことから、摘み部材11には、回動上端11a側上半部が可動筒9内方向に押される作用が発生し、すなわち、スライダ片25のスライド操作を行うことで、摘み部材11の回動上端11a側を押し込む操作となり、この摘み部材11の回動を容易なものとしている。

この回動では、図4(c)に示すように、摘み部材11の回動上端11aが可動筒9内へ倒れて進入し、回動下端11bが手前に突出して、摘み部材11が略水平方向となる。すなわち、摘み部材11の板面がサムターン軸3の軸線方向と略平行となるように、回動下端11b側の略半部が略水平に突出状態となる。略水平となった摘み部材11は、回動上端11a裏面の磁性体よりなる裏板16が保持手段29である磁石に吸着して位置保持される。

このようにして摘み部材11が可動筒9から突出したなら、摘み部材11の突出部分を手指で摘み、可動筒9とともに図4(d)の矢印d方向に回動する。この結果、摘み部材11は、図4(d)に示す向きとなる。これにより、サムターン軸3を介して回動操作力が錠箱機構部に入力されることとなって、錠箱のデッドボルトが扉木口から進退して、施錠装置の施解錠が錠可能となる。

また、可動筒9から突出状態の摘み部材11を、可動筒9に収容させるには、摘み部材11の突出部分を手指にて、上記の逆方向に、すなわち磁石29にて吸着保持されている状態を解除させて、摘み部材11を回動させることで行われる。そして、摘み部材11の回動により、係止杆21先端のラッチ部22が可動筒9の係合孔14に嵌入し、同時にストッパ段部27に当接することで、摘み部材11は可動筒9の開口部9aに沿い、この開口部9aを塞いだ状態となって収容となる。

このように、上記のサムターン1によれば、通常状態では摘み部材11を可動筒9の内部に収容して可動筒9から突出させないことで、摘み部材11の操作を不能にすることができる。この結果、玄関扉などの小窓や、その周囲の壁部分に配設される小窓などのガラス板が割られ、外部から手を差し入れてサムターン1を不正に解錠操作したり、或いは扉と扉枠の隙間などから針金等を差し入れることによりサムターン1を不正に操作しようとしても、摘み部材11が突出していないことから、目視ではない手さぐりの状態でサムターン1を捜し当てることが容易ではなくなり、さらには、化粧リング5にて覆われる構造であり、この化粧リング5外表面によって針金等が滑ることとなり、そして、操作力を錠箱機構部に入力して解錠を行うことができず、施錠装置の防犯性を向上させることができる。

また、係止杆21と係合孔14との係合により、摘み部材11を可動筒9の開口部9aに沿わせこの開口部9aを閉塞する状態とさせることで、摘み部材11を可動筒9に収容状態に位置保持することができるので、摘み部材11が突出せず、防犯性を向上させることができる。また、保持手段の磁石29の吸着力により、摘み部材11を吸着保持させることで、摘み部材11を可動筒9からの突出状態に位置保持することができるので、摘み部材11は突出状態を維持でき操作性を低下させることがない。

なお、摘み部材11は、スライダ片25の近傍或いはスライダ片25自体に、スライド方向を示す矢印などを印刷あるいは刻印により設けることが好ましく、さらには、回動上端11aの表面に「PUSH」や「押す」などの文字の印刷、刻印による標示を設けることとしても良い。このような標示を設けることで、予め、その操作を視認することができ、サムターン1の操作を誤ることなく、また、押し込み側を間違えて逆側(回動下端11b)を押してしまう押し間違いをなくし、操作性を向上させることができる。

なお、上述した実施の形態では、係止杆21先端のラッチ部22の突出する方向を、摘み部材11の回動上端11a側とした例について述べたが、回動下端11b側に突出する構造としてもよい。すなわち、摘み部材11の表面に位置するスライダ片25のスライド方向を変え、摘み部材11の押し込む方向をスライド方向と略同方向とするような構成とする。これにより、摘み部材11の半部を突出させる操作が、可動筒9内に指を押し込むような操作となり、摘み部材11を摘もうとする操作に連携し易くなる。

また、上述した実施の形態では、解除手段であるスライダ片25を、図1に示すように、略矩形状に形成され係止杆21と一体構造とした例について述べたが、係止杆とスライダ片とを別体構造としてもよく、例えば、図5,6に示すように、スライダ片25の形状を薄い円板状に形成し、係止杆21に連結凸部21aを設け、この連結凸部21aにスライダ片25を、摘み部材11の表面部分を介在させて固着する構造としても良い。この構造によれば、図6に示すように摘み部材11が可動筒9の開口部9aを塞いだ状態では、この可動筒9の屋内側から見た状態が、一様に平板状となり、さらにサムターン1としての形状の不明確さが表現でき、手さぐりによる操作を困難なものとすることが可能となる。そして、このような形状のスライダ片25とした場合に、その表面に、上記と同様に、その操作方向を示す矢印などを印刷あるいは刻印により設けることが好ましく、正規に使用する者の操作性を向上させることが可能となる。

【発明の効果】
以上説明したように、請求項1に係るサムターンによれば、摘み部材の操作時、解除手段をまず操作し、規制手段による回動の規制を解き、摘み部材を押すことで、摘み部材が可動筒内で回動し、回動側の一端が可動筒から突出して、保持手段により摘み部材の板面がサムターン軸の軸線方向と略平行となって摘み部材の操作が可能となる。一方、通常状態では、摘み部材を可動筒に収容して規制手段によって可動筒から突出させないことで、摘み部材の操作を不能にすることができる。
