この発明は主に就寝時の肩や首筋の保温性に特化した肩当て専用寝具に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
（１） 従来より寝具は敷き布団と掛け布団、また掛け布団の下に掛ける毛布や肌布団、タオルケット等の軽寝具で構成されるのが一般的であった。その各々の分野での保温性、快適性においての改善はなされているものの、肩口、首筋等の隙間の保温性に関しては、その改善がほとんどなされなかった。
（２） 肩口や首筋を保温するものとして、古来より丹前やかいまき等の掛け物を用いることがあった。
（３） さらに近年、この点に関しての考案、発明はかなり出願されているが、いずれも本格的な製品化には至らなかった。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
これは次のような欠点があった。
（イ） 就寝中、肩や首筋を保温するのにどうしても敷布団と掛け寝具の間に隙間が生じてしまう。
（ロ） 近年は毛布や肌布団が一般的になり、また寝室も洋風化され、ベッドを用いる例も多くなったため、日本古来の伝統的な丹前、かいまき等は、ほとんど用いられなくなった。
（ハ） このことに関する多くの発明考案がなされているが、何れも他の掛けふとんや掛けふとんカバー、衿カバー、毛布、敷毛布、枕等と連結させるものであったり、従来の寝具の形状や形態を大きく改善しなければならないものであるがため、消費者においては従来の寝具を買い換えなければならず、生産者または販売者においては、その商品化に向けての製造上や販売上の問題が多く、一般的な商品として市場に出回るのは稀であった。
本発明は、これらの欠点を解決するために発明されたものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
枕の下敷き部（２）を間に設けた、左右対称の保温性を有する肩当て（１）、（１）から構成する。

以上は本発明の基本的な使用形態であるが、好みに応じ掛け布団を掛けたその上に保温性を有する肩当て（１）、（１）を掛けることもできる。また使用中暑苦しいときは、保温性を有する肩当て（１）、（１）の枕の下敷き部（２）により固定されていない部分を適当分、上または下に折り曲げたままでも、また肩の下に敷いても使用することができる。

【発明の効果】
以下、本発明の効果について述べる。
（イ） 本発明は、枕の下に枕の下敷き部（２）を敷くことにより、枕と頭の重さにより固定できるので就寝中寝返りなどで保温性を有する肩当て（１）、（１）が肩から外れたとしても、枕の両側から、相当程度肩口を覆うことができる。
