Description

【0001】

[Patent Document 1] Registered Utility Model No. 3050335 (page 4-11, FIG. 1)
[0005]
However, when the workpiece placed on the needle plate is a very stretchable fabric such as a jersey fabric, the needle penetrates the workpiece. When the needle is lowered, the workpiece is partially dropped into the needle hole with the lowering operation of the needle, and it is difficult to smoothly feed the workpiece on the needle plate until the next needle lowering operation. . It is also conceivable to reduce the needle hole of the needle plate as much as possible to prevent the workpiece from dropping. However, it is necessary to form a small needle hole in the needle plate at a precise position where the needle does not interfere with the needle plate. Requires high processing accuracy, which is disadvantageous in terms of manufacturing cost.
[0006]
Particularly, in a needle punching sewing machine, since the decorative material is pressed into the work cloth on the needle plate by a plurality of needles, the work cloth is more likely to fall into the needle hole. Here, as in the case of the sewing machine of Patent Literature 1, by providing a plurality of guide insertion holes in the presser foot, it may be possible to somewhat suppress the drop of the work cloth on the needle plate due to the lowering operation of the plurality of needles. In order to prevent the plurality of needles from interfering with the presser foot when the plurality of needles are lowered and inserted into the plurality of guide insertion holes, high mounting accuracy is required when mounting the presser foot to the sewing machine. Therefore, it takes time to assemble.
An object of the present invention is to enable a needle to be inserted through a needle hole without lowering the needle plate when the needle is lowered by a simple configuration and to prevent a sewing object on the needle plate from dropping into the needle hole. is there.

[0038]
Next, the needle hole closing member 60 unique to the present application will be described.
As shown in FIGS. 7, 8, and 13 to 16, the needle hole closing member 60 is a circular thin plate that closes the needle hole 12 a of the needle plate 12 for needle punching. Reference numeral 60 has five needle holes 60a (second needle holes) each having a smaller hole diameter than the needle hole 12a and through which the needle main body 14a of the punching needle 14 can be inserted.
[0039]
The needle hole closing member 60 is formed of a thin plate made of an aluminum alloy that is softer than the steel needle main body portion 14a, and has five needle holes 60a formed in the center of the needle hole closing member 60. The lower surface of the needle hole closing member 60 is coated with an adhesive for fixing the needle hole closing member 60 to the needle plate. Before attaching to the needle plate 12, the lower surface of the needle hole closing member 60 is covered with a piece of paper (not shown). The needle hole closing member 60 is also formed with a hole 60b for removal, and the tip of a tool such as a screwdriver is engaged with the hole 60b to be fixed to the needle plate 12 with an adhesive. The needle hole closing member 60 can be removed.
[0040]
Because the needle hole 12a of the needle plate 12 having a large diameter is closed by the needle hole closing member 60, when the punching needle 14 descends during the needle punching process, the work cloth on the needle plate 12 It is possible to prevent the needle plate 12 from being partially dropped from the needle hole 12a to the lower side of the needle plate 12 with the descending operation. Therefore, the work cloth can be smoothly fed, and the needle punching processing is not repeatedly performed on the same portion of the work cloth.
[0041]
Next, a method of attaching the needle hole closing member 60 to the needle plate 12 will be described.
First, as shown in FIG. 15, after removing the protection cover 46, the protection cover holder 45, and the presser foot 48, the hand pulley 23 is turned to prevent the needle body 14 a of the punching needle 14 from being inserted into the needle hole 12 a of the needle plate 12. After being moved to the vicinity of the upper limit position, the release paper covering the lower surface of the needle hole closing member 60 is peeled off, and the needle hole closing member 60 is moved upward from the lower end side of the needle main body portion 14a, and the five needle main bodies are moved. The portion 14a is inserted into the five needle holes 60a of the needle hole closing member 60 (insertion step).
[0042]
Next, as shown in FIG. 16, the state in which the needle main body portion 14a is inserted through the needle hole 60a of the needle hole closing Meanwhile, the punching needle 14 is lowered by turning the hand pulley 23 until the tip of the needle main body 14a passes through the needle hole 12a of the needle plate 12 (needle lowering step).
The needle hole closing member 60 is fixed to the needle plate 12 with an adhesive while maintaining the state where the needle main body portion 14a is inserted into the needle hole 60a, and the needle hole 12a of the needle plate 12 is fixed by the needle hole closing member 60. Close (fixing process).
[0043]
According to this mounting method, the needle hole closing member 60 can be mounted on the needle plate 12 in a state where the five needle body portions 14a of the punching needle 14 are inserted into the five needle holes 60a of the needle hole closing member 60. Therefore, when performing the needle punching after attaching the needle hole closing member 60 to the needle plate 12, the five needle body portions 14a are surely inserted into the five needle holes 60a.
[0044]
Next, the operation of the sewing machine M will be described. First, as shown by the chain line in FIGS. 3 and 4, in a state where the sewing needle 13 with the eye is attached to the needle holder 33 provided at the lower end of the needle bar 30 by the screw 40, the sewing is performed by the normal sewing. A seam can be formed on the work cloth on 11. That is, when the needle bar 30 is moved up and down by the needle bar up / down movement mechanism 31, the upper thread extending downward from the eye of the sewing needle 13 is captured by the blade point of the shuttle mechanism 10 located below the needle plate 11. Then, the stitches are formed on the work cloth by being pulled upward by the balance 32.
[0045]
On the other hand, when performing the needle punching process on the work cloth 80 using the punching needle 14, the screw 40 is loosened, the sewing needle 13 is removed from the needle holder 33, and then the screw 40 is tightened. Thereafter, the needle plate 11 for normal sewing is removed, and the needle plate 12 for needle punching is attached to the bed 1. Then, with the needle bar 30 and the needle holding portion 14b of the punching needle 14 held between the pair of holding members 53 and 54 of the needle mounting tool 50 separated from each other, the three screws 55 to 57 are tightened to make the first The needle bar 30 and the punching needle 14 are respectively held by the second holding portions 51 and 52, and the punching needle 14 is attached at a position separated from the needle bar 30 by a predetermined distance to the left.
[0046]
Then, after the protective cover holder 45 is connected to the lower end of the holding rod 44, the wool 81 is passed through the guide hole 48f and the circular hole 48e, and then the wool 81 is overlaid on the work cloth 80. After this series of operations is completed, the presser foot lifting lever 49 is operated to lower the work clamp 48, and the work bar 80 and the yarn 81 are pressed by the work presser 48, and the needle bar 30 is moved by the needle bar vertical movement mechanism 31. Is moved up and down.
[0047]
Then, the punching needle 14 moves up and down at a position shifted leftward from the shuttle mechanism 10, and as shown in FIG. 13, a plurality of hooking claws 14 c formed on the five needle main bodies 14 a of the punching needle 14. As a result, the five needle body portions 14a penetrate the work cloth 80 and the wool 81 while hooking a part of the wool 81, and a part of the wool 81 hooked on the hooking claw 14c is pushed into the work cloth 80. Thus, a decorative pattern is formed on the work cloth 80.
[0048]
Here, a needle hole closing member 60 for closing the needle hole 12a is attached to the needle plate 12, and in the above-described needle punching process, the five needle body portions 14a of the punching needle 14 are attached to the needle hole 12a. It is inserted through five needle holes 60a of the needle hole closing member 60 having a smaller hole diameter. As described above, since the needle hole 12a of the needle plate 12 having a large hole diameter is closed by the needle hole closing member 60, the work cloth 80 on the needle plate 12 is moved from the needle hole 12a through the needle hole 12a as the punching needle 14 descends. It is possible to prevent the lower part of the plate 12 from partially falling.
[0049]
According to the sewing machine M and the needle hole closing member 60 described above, the following effects can be obtained.
1) When the needle hole 12a of the needle plate 12 is closed by the needle hole closing member 60 and the punching needle 14 descends during the needle punching process, the five needle body portions 14a of the punching needle 14 The five needle holes 60a of the needle hole closing member 60 smaller than the needle holes 12a of the needle plate 12 are inserted. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the work cloth 80 on the needle plate 12 from partially falling from the needle hole 12a to the lower side of the needle plate 12 due to the downward movement of the punching needle 14. Therefore, the work cloth 80 can be smoothly fed by the feed mechanism, and the same portion of the work cloth 80 is not subjected to needle punching processing many times.
[0050]
Further, since there is no problem even if the diameter of the needle hole 12a of the needle plate 12 is slightly large, the processing accuracy when forming the needle hole 12a in the needle plate 12 may not be so strict, which is advantageous in manufacturing cost. . Further, since the needle hole closing member 60 is detachably attached to the needle plate 12, the needle hole closing member 60 having an appropriate shape can be attached according to the type of the punching needle 14 to be used.
[0051]
2) Since the needle hole closing member 60 is made of a softer material than the needle body 14a of the punching needle 14, the needle body 14a of the punching needle 14 is slightly elastically deformed by vibration or impact during needle punching. Even if the needle drop position slightly shifts, the needle body 14a is not prevented from being inserted through the five needle holes 60a, and the needle body 14a is not damaged.
[0052]
3) Since the adhesive is applied to one side of the needle hole closing member 60, the adhesive allows the needle hole closing member 60 to be easily attached and the needle hole closing member 60 to be removed from the needle plate 12. Is also easy.
4) The needle hole closing member 60 is provided with a hole portion 60b for removing the needle hole closing member 60 from the needle plate 12, so that a tool such as a screwdriver is engaged with the hole portion 60b so that the needle hole closing member 60 can be easily removed. It can be removed from the needle plate 12.
[0053]
5) When attaching the needle hole closing member 60 to the needle plate 12, the needle hole closing member is inserted in a state where the five needle body portions 14 a of the punching needle 14 are inserted through the five needle holes 60 a of the needle hole closing member 60. Since the needle hole 60 can be attached to the needle plate 12, when performing the needle punching process after attaching the needle hole closing member 60 to the needle plate 12, the five needle body portions 14a are surely inserted into the five needle holes 60a. The needle body 14a can be prevented from interfering with the needle plate 12. Further, when attaching the needle hole closing member 60 to the needle plate 12, high mounting accuracy is not required, which is advantageous in terms of manufacturing cost, and an operator can freely attach the needle hole closing member 60 to the needle plate 12. It will be easier.
[0054]
Next, modified embodiments in which various modifications are made to the above-described embodiment will be described.
1) As the needle hole closing member 60, various materials can be used in addition to the aluminum alloy of the above embodiment, but a needle main body of the punching needle 14, such as copper, synthetic resin, or synthetic rubber. It is desirable to be made of a material softer than 14a. When the needle hole closing member 60 is made of a material such as a flexible synthetic resin or synthetic rubber, it is easy for an operator to peel off the needle hole closing member 60 from the needle plate 12 by hand. The hole 60b for removal may be omitted.
[0055]
2] In the above embodiment, the needle hole closing member 60 is fixed to the needle plate 12 by the adhesive applied to the lower surface of the needle hole closing member 60. However, the needle hole closing member 60 is formed of a magnet. Then, the magnetic force may be fixed to the needle plate 12.
[0056]
3] The needle hole closing member can be attached not only to the needle punching sewing machine of the above-described embodiment but also to a general sewing machine that forms a linear stitch on a work cloth using a sewing needle. In this case, One needle hole is provided in the needle hole closing member. Further, the present invention is applied to a so-called zigzag sewing machine that forms a zigzag stitch by swinging a needle bar equipped with a sewing needle back and forth, and a needle hole for a long left and right zigzag stitch formed on a needle plate, It may be configured so as to be closed by a needle hole closing member having a small needle hole, and used for straight stitching.
[0057]
According to the first aspect of the present invention, the thin needle hole closing member for closing the first needle hole is detachably attached to the needle plate, so that the first needle of the needle plate can be removed. The hole is closed by the needle hole closing member, and the needle passes through the second needle hole of the needle hole closing member having a smaller hole diameter than the first needle hole of the needle plate. Therefore, the workpiece on the needle plate can be prevented from falling downward from the needle hole as much as possible, and the workpiece can be smoothly moved on the needle plate. In addition, since the diameter of the first needle hole may be somewhat large, the processing accuracy when forming the first needle hole in the needle plate may not be so severe, which is advantageous in terms of manufacturing cost. Further, since the needle hole closing member is detachably attached to the needle plate, a needle hole closing member having an appropriate shape can be attached according to the type of needle used.
[0058]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, since the needle hole closing member is made of a material softer than the needle, the needle is slightly reduced due to vibration or impact when the needle penetrates the workpiece on the needle plate. Even if the needle drop position with respect to the needle hole closing member is slightly shifted due to elastic deformation, the insertion of the needle through the second needle hole is not prevented, and the needle is not damaged.
[0059]
According to the third aspect of the present invention, since the adhesive is applied to one side of the needle hole closing member, the adhesive allows the needle hole closing member to be easily attached to the needle plate, and the needle hole closing member can be easily mounted. Can be easily removed from the needle plate.
According to the fourth aspect of the present invention, since the needle hole closing member has the hole for removing the needle hole closing member from the needle plate, the tool or the like is engaged with the hole to easily remove the needle hole closing member from the needle plate. be able to.
[0060]
According to the fifth aspect of the invention, substantially the same effects as those of the first aspect can be obtained, and the description thereof is omitted.
According to the invention of claim 6, by such a simple mounting method, the needle hole closing member can be easily mounted on the needle plate while maintaining the state in which the needle is inserted through the second needle hole, and Since the needle is reliably inserted into the second needle hole when penetrating the workpiece on the needle plate, it is possible to prevent the needle from interfering with the needle plate. In addition, when mounting the needle hole closing member to the needle plate, high mounting accuracy is not required, and the mounting is easy, and the operator can easily mount the needle hole closing member freely on the needle plate.
