この発明は、にぎり飯に海苔等のシート状食品を開封時に巻いて食するようにした食品を包装するための食品包装材に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来、にぎり飯に海苔等のシート状食品を開封時に巻いて食べられるようにした食品包装材として、引裂方向が長手方向である矩形の引裂方向性を有する外フィルムの長辺側の外縁に一対の内フィルムの一辺を接合し、外フィルムの幅方向の略中央にて前記内フィルムの対向辺どうしを重ね合わせ、さらに外フィルムと内フィルムとの間にシート状食品を挟んだものがある（特許文献１参照）。

しかし、この従来の食品包装材は、前記内フィルムの対向辺どうしを重ね合わせた部分に隙間が生じるため、密閉性が十分でなく、この隙間からにぎり飯の水分が入ることにより、シート状食品が湿って風味が悪くなったり、保存性が悪くなったりする等の問題を有していた。
