Abstract

【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a vehicle steering system mounted on a vehicle such as an automobile and provided with an actuator such as an electric motor.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Steering devices that perform the steering operation of vehicles such as automobiles, which are typified by electric power steering devices, reduce the driver's steering burden by using the rotational force of an electric motor as an actuator as a steering assist force. It has become. In such a vehicle steering device, generally, a torque detecting device that detects a steering force (steering torque) applied to a steering member by a driver during a steering mechanism from a steering member to a steered wheel of the vehicle, and the electric power steering device. A deceleration mechanism to which a motor is connected is provided in this order from the steering member side, and the motor torque is changed based on the detection result of the detection device, and the steering mechanism is assisted by the motor torque. In this case, the steered wheels were steered. However, in such a conventional device, the motor rotational force is appropriately adjusted due to attenuation of steering torque due to friction at a tooth meshing portion provided at a connection portion of the steering mechanism with the speed reduction mechanism and disturbance from the road surface. The driver may not be able to change the steering feeling, which may lead to a decrease in the steering feeling experienced by the driver.
[0003]
Therefore, in the conventional vehicle steering device, two torque detecting devices are arranged on the upstream side and the downstream side of the connection point, and the upstream torque and the downstream torque acting on the steering member side and the steered wheel side are determined. There is provided a motor that detects the torque and controls the motor torque based on the detected torque having a larger value among the upstream torque and the downstream torque to assist the driver's steering operation (for example, see Patent Document 1). .). However, in this conventional device, the motor torque is controlled in accordance with the result of comparison between the two detected torques. Therefore, for example, in the initial stage of the operation of the steering member (that is, in the stage of starting to turn the steering wheel), the torque is set earlier than the downstream torque. The motor torque is applied based on the rising upstream torque. However, when the above-mentioned torque is applied, the downstream torque immediately becomes larger than the upstream torque, and the reference torque for controlling the motor torque is changed to the downstream torque, and according to the value larger than the upstream torque. Since the rotational force is applied, the rotational force fluctuates greatly, and the discontinuous assist force is transmitted to the driver, and the steering feeling may be reduced.
[0004]
In view of this, the present applicant has proposed, in
In detail, in this conventional device, similarly to

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the conventional device of
Specifically, for example, when the steering member is started to be turned, the steering force from the driver applied to the steering member is different from the frictional element other than the tooth meshing portion, for example, between the pinion shaft and the steered wheels. Even in the case of a small steering force that is greatly attenuated at the connection between the rack shaft and the pinion shaft provided between them, the motor torque is determined based on the upstream torque before the steering force is transmitted to the steered wheels. May be determined and applied to the steering mechanism, and the driver may experience a feeling of inconsistency between the driving operation on the steering member and the actual vehicle behavior, and the steering feeling may be reduced.
[0007]
In view of the above-described conventional problems, the present invention provides a vehicle steering device that can always appropriately determine the driving force of an actuator and can prevent a decrease in steering feeling. The purpose is to:
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention provides a steering mechanism that causes a steered wheel of a vehicle to perform a turning operation in accordance with an operation of a steering member, an actuator that applies a driving force to the steering mechanism, and a steering mechanism that includes a steering member and a steered wheel. A first and second torque detecting device for detecting an upstream torque and a downstream torque acting on the vehicle, respectively, the vehicle steering device,
A target value to be targeted by the first torque detecting device is determined based on a detected value of the downstream torque by the second torque detecting device, and the first target torque is detected by the determined target value. The apparatus is characterized by comprising a control means for performing feedback control of the driving force of the actuator so that the detected value of the upstream torque in the device approaches.
[0009]
The control means in the vehicle steering system configured as described above performs the feedback control on the actual vehicle behavior by using the detected value of the downstream torque as a reference for the target value in the feedback control for the driving force. To prevent the steering feeling from deteriorating. That is, the control means determines the target value of the upstream torque acting on the steering member side based on the detected value of the downstream torque acting on the steered wheel side. An appropriate value can be set according to the actual vehicle behavior determined by the turning operation. Further, the control means performs feedback control of the driving force of the actuator using the target value appropriately determined in this way and the detected value of the upstream torque, so that the driving force is not only the actual vehicle behavior but also the driver's driving force. Can always be adapted to the steering operation of the steering member. As a result, it is possible to prevent the driver from experiencing a feeling of inconsistency between the driving operation (operating feeling) on the steering member and the actual vehicle behavior, and it is possible to prevent the steering feeling from deteriorating.
[0010]
Further, in the vehicle steering device, the control unit may include a steering force applied to the steering member, and the steering wheel may perform a steering operation in accordance with the steering force. It is preferable that the target value is determined based on the detected value of the downstream torque so that the steering force transmitted to the road surface has a constant relationship.
In this case, since the target value is determined such that the steering force and the turning force maintain a constant relationship, it is possible to more appropriately determine the driving force of the actuator according to the operational feeling and the vehicle behavior. As a result, it is possible to more reliably prevent the steering feeling from deteriorating.
[0011]
Further, in the vehicle steering system, the steering mechanism is configured such that the steering member and the steering wheel are connected to one end side and the other end side, respectively, and between the steering member and the steering wheel. A steering shaft to which the actuator is connected;
The first torque detecting device detects an upstream torque acting between a connection point between the steering member and the actuator on the steering shaft, and the second torque detection device detects the upstream torque. The downstream torque acting between the wheels may be detected.
In this case, in a steering mechanism in which the steering member is connected to the steered wheels of the vehicle by the steering shaft, the driving force of the actuator is appropriately determined according to the operational feeling and the vehicle behavior, and the steering feeling is reduced. Can be prevented.
[0012]
Further, in the vehicle steering device, it is preferable that the first and second torque detecting devices are arranged close to the steering member and the steered wheels, respectively.
In this case, in the steering mechanism having the steering shaft, each of the torque detecting devices can detect the corresponding upstream and downstream torques with high accuracy.
[0013]
Further, in the vehicle steering device, the steering mechanism includes a first torque detection device and a reaction force generation unit provided with a first actuator that generates a reaction force according to an operation of the steering member; A steering operation unit provided with a second torque detection device and a second actuator that generates a steering force that causes the steered wheels to perform the steering operation in accordance with the rotation angle of the steering member;
The control means may perform feedback control of the reaction force of the first actuator so that the detected value of the upstream torque in the first torque detection device approaches the determined target value.
In this case, in the steering mechanism including the reaction force generation unit and the turning operation unit, the reaction force and the turning force of the first and second actuators are appropriately determined according to the operational feeling and the vehicle behavior, It is possible to prevent the steering feeling from being reduced.
[0014]
Further, in the vehicle steering device, it is preferable that the first and second actuators are arranged close to the steering member and the steered wheels, respectively.
In this case, in the steering mechanism having the reaction force generating unit and the turning operation unit, each of the actuators is configured to control the reaction force and the turning force instructed by the control unit in a state where transmission loss due to a friction element or the like is minimized. Can be given to the corresponding steering member side and the steered wheel side.
[0015]
Further, in the steering apparatus for a vehicle, it is preferable that the first torque detection device is configured using a current detector that detects a supply current for driving the first actuator.
In this case, the configuration of the first torque detecting device can be simplified, and the current detector is shared with the detecting device. Therefore, the number of parts of the vehicle steering device is reduced, and the size and cost are reduced. The steering device can be easily configured.
[0016]
