【0004】

Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. H10-211700
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, since the above-mentioned conventional technology corrects the waveform distortion of the drive waveform in hardware, it is not possible to flexibly correct the waveform distortion in response to a change in the specification of the connection cable. It cannot be corrected sufficiently. Here, FIG. 3A shows an example of the waveform of the drive signal COM. The solid line Ho shown in this figure shows the waveform of the reference drive signal defined by the waveform data c stored in the
[0043]
The main cause of the waveform distortion is the inductance component and the resistance component of the flexible cable F described above. Therefore, the waveform distortion differs depending on the type (that is, product number) of the flexible cable F classified according to the inductance component, the resistance component, or the length of the flexible cable F.
[0044]
On the other hand, FIG. 4 is an equivalent circuit of a circuit including the flexible cable F and the piezoelectric element. The flexible cable F is a distributed constant transmission line, and each wiring pattern made of a copper wire is equivalent to a series connection circuit of an inductance L and a resistance R, and a capacitor as a capacitance of a piezoelectric element is provided between each wiring pattern. C exists. In such an equivalent circuit, when the input terminal voltage is Vi (t), the output terminal voltage is Vc (t), the energizing current is i (t), and the charge charged in the capacitor C is Q, the input terminal voltage is Vi (t) and output terminal voltage Vc (t) are represented by the following equations (1) and (2).

Therefore, the voltage change ΔV (t) (that is, waveform distortion) due to transmission to the flexible cable F is represented by the following equation (3) as the difference between the input terminal voltage Vi (t) and the output terminal voltage Vc (t). It is expressed as follows.
[0048]
[Equation 3]
[0049]
This equation (3) indicates that the voltage change ΔV (t) depends on the inductance L, the resistance R, and the flowing current of the flexible cable F depending on i (t). Here, the inductance L and the resistance R are given as fixed values depending on the type (product number) of the flexible cable F, and the current i (t) varies depending on the operation state of the
