従来から、車両の周囲の明るさをセンサで検知し、検知した明るさに応じて車両に設置されたライトを制御するオートライトコントール装置(コンライトともいう。)が知られている(例えば、特許文献1参照。)。例えば、センサで検知した周囲の明るさが所定値以下の場合に車両のヘッドライトやテールランプを点灯させ、検知した周囲の明るさが所定値を超えた場合に消灯させることで、トンネルへの侵入時にヘッドライトやテールランプを自動的に点灯させたり、夕方、暗くなり始めたときに自動的に点灯させたりして、ドライバを補助するオートライトコントロール装置がある。

上述したようにオートライトコントロール装置は、周囲の明るさを検知するコンライト用センサを有する。また、オートディマー装置も、周囲の明るさを検知するオートディマー用センサを有する。こうして双方の装置にそれぞれ周囲の明るさを検知するセンサを備えているため、部品点数が多くなり、コストの面で無駄があった。

そこで、本発明は、コストを削減することが可能な車載システム、オートディマー装置、コンライト装置等を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段及び発明の効果】
上述した問題点を解決するためになされた請求項1に記載の車載システムによれば、オートライトコントロール装置の明るさを検知する手段(第一検知手段)と、オートディマー装置の明るさを検知する手段(第二検知手段)とを同一のセンサから構成する。すなわち、1のセンサを双方の装置のセンサとするため、部品点数を削減することができる。したがって、コストを削減することができる。

以下、本発明が適用された実施例について図面を用いて説明する。なお、本発明の実施の形態は、下記の実施例に何ら限定されることなく、本発明の技術的範囲に属する限り種々の形態を採りうることは言うまでもない。

図1は本実施例の車載システム100の構成を示すブロック図である。車載システム100は、車両に搭載されており、明度センサ1と、明度レベル判定器5と、ヘッドライトオン・オフコントローラ2と、ヘッドライトモード選択スイッチ7と、ヘッドライト4と、オートディマーコントローラ6と、オートディマー機能オン・オフスイッチ8と、ディスプレイ3とを備える。

明度センサ1は、周囲の明るさに感応して、周囲の明るさに応じたレベルの電圧を出力する。明度センサ1の出力信号は、明るくなればなるほど電圧値が高くなり、暗くなればなるほど電圧値が低くなる。
この明度センサ1は、明度レベル判定器5に接続されている。明度レベル判定器5は、明度センサ1の出力する信号のレベルに応じてオン・オフ信号を出力する。すなわち、明度レベル判定器5は、明度センサ1の出力する電圧値が、閾値V0未満であればオン信号(例えば電圧レベルHigh)を出力し、V1以上であればオフ信号(例えば電圧レベルLow)を出力する。なお、閾値V0は、例えば、ヘッドライト4の点灯が必要となる明度の中でもっとも明るい明度(すなわち、点灯が必要となりはじめる明度)における明度センサ1の出力電圧値に予め設定しておく。また、閾値V1は、例えば、ヘッドライト4の点灯が必要でなくなる明度の中でもっとも暗い明度(すなわち、点灯が必要でなくなりはじめる明度)における明度センサ1の出力電圧値に予め設定しておく。なお、V0<V1となるように設定する。

そして、明度レベル判定器5は、ヘッドライトオン・オフコントローラ2が接続されている。また、ヘッドライトオン・オフコントローラ2は、ヘッドライトモード選択スイッチ7、ヘッドライト4に接続されている。
ヘッドライトモード選択スイッチ7は、「強制オン」・「コンライト」・「強制オフ」の切り替えスイッチである。

オートディマーコントローラ6は、オートディマー機能オン・オフスイッチ8がオフの場合には、予め設定された標準の輝度信号をディスプレイ3に出力する。その結果、ディスプレイ3は標準の輝度で表示する。

一方、オートディマーコントローラ6は、オートディマー機能オン・オフスイッチ8がオンの場合には、明度センサ1から出力される電圧値に比例した輝度信号を出力する。その結果、ディスプレイ3の輝度は、明度センサ1の周囲の明るさが明るくなればなるほど明るくなり、明度センサ1の周囲の明るさが暗くなればなるほど暗くなる。

以上説明したように、本実施例の車載システム100は、1つの明度センサ1を用いて、コンライト機能と、オートディマー機能を実現できる。したがって、コストを削減することができる。

明度センサ1の設置場所としては、図2(a)に示すように、ダッシュボードDB上の従来のオートライトコントロール装置用のセンサが設置されていた箇所とすることができる。図2(a)は、明度センサ1としてオートライトコントロール装置用のセンサを用い、ディスプレイ3を備えるナビゲーション装置200にオートディマー機能を備えた例である。すなわち、明度センサ1をオートディマー装置20の構成の外に備えたものとしてとらえることもできる。ナビゲーション装置200の筐体201内には、オートディマーコントローラ6を備えており、筐体201上には、オートディマー機能オン・オフスイッチ8を備えている。また、筐体201の背面には、オートディマーコントローラ6を明度センサ1に接続された信号線と接続するための図示しない(背面側に設置されている)コネクタを備える。また、明度センサ1に接続された信号線側にもコネクタを備えており、筐体201上のコネクタと着脱自在に構成されている。この筐体201上のコネクタがオートライトコントロール装置用センサ接続部に相当する。

一方、図2(b)は、明度センサ1としてオートディマー装置用のセンサを用い、ディスプレイ3を備えるナビゲーション装置200にオートディマー機能を備えた例である。すなわち、明度センサ1をオートライトコントロール装置10の構成の外に備えたものとしてとらえることもできる。ナビゲーション装置200の筐体201内には、オートディマーコントローラ6を備えており、筐体201上には、明度センサ1、オートディマー機能オン・オフスイッチ8、明度センサ1に接続された信号線を明度レベル判定器5に接続するための図示しない(筐体201の背面側に設置されている)コネクタを備える。また、明度レベル判定器5から明度センサ1に接続するための信号線側にもコネクタを備えており、筐体201上のコネクタと着脱自在に構成されている。なお、明度レベル判定器5から明度センサ1に接続するための信号線について、明度レベル判定器5側にもコネクタを備え、この信号線も明度レベル判定器5と着脱自在に構成するとよい。この明度レベル判定器5側のコネクタがオートディマー装置用センサ接続部に相当する。
