Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a gas detection device driven by using a solar panel as a basic power supply.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Stationary gas detectors are used to continuously monitor the concentration of the gas to be detected at a specific location, and such gas detectors usually have a predetermined concentration of the detected gas. It has a function of transmitting a gas detection signal to a central monitoring device when the concentration is equal to or higher than a certain concentration.
[0003]
As a method for supplying the driving power of such a gas detection device, a method of using the power of a commercial power supply with a power supply cable or a method of using a battery as a power supply is used.
However, when a commercial power supply is used, great difficulty is involved in laying a power supply cable depending on the geographical condition of a place where the gas detection device is installed, and a great deal of time and cost may be required. Further, when a battery is used as a power source, it is not suitable for continuous monitoring over a long time because the battery needs to be replaced.
[0004]
Therefore, it is conceivable to use a solar power generation means capable of autonomously generating power as a power source, without laying cables.
However, a solar panel used for a solar power generation means cannot generate a large amount of power unless it is large, while a small panel has a limited power generation capacity. It is difficult to continuously and stably operate the gas detection unit.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to charge a secondary battery serving as a direct power supply of a gas detection unit to charge electric power generated by a solar panel. An object of the present invention is to provide a gas detection device that can avoid wasteful power consumption in a circuit, and thereby can continuously and stably operate a gas detection unit.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The gas detection device of the present invention includes a solar panel, a secondary battery connected to the solar panel via a charging circuit, a gas detection unit driven by electric power from the secondary battery, and an output voltage of the solar panel. And a charge control circuit that stops driving of the charging circuit when the size is smaller than a set value.
[0007]
It is preferable that the charging circuit in the gas detection device includes a converter based on a pulse width modulation method.
Further, the gas detection device has a voltage detection circuit that detects the magnitude of a discharge voltage in the secondary battery, and includes a drive control circuit that controls a gas detection operation of the gas detection unit based on the magnitude of the discharge voltage. Preferably, it is provided.
[0008]
[Action]
According to the gas detection device having the above configuration, when the magnitude of the output voltage in the electric power generated by the solar panel is smaller than the set value and the secondary battery cannot be charged effectively, the charging control circuit controls the charging circuit. Since the driving is stopped, useless driving power consumption due to the operation of the charging circuit is avoided, and eventually, the gas detection unit can be continuously and stably operated.
