Abstract
Description

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus that is inserted into a thin body cavity such as a blood vessel to perform an ultrasonic examination.
[0002]
[Prior art]
For example, by inserting a flexible, small-diameter ultrasonic probe into a blood vessel and examining the structure, tissue state, and the like of the blood vessel, the arteriosclerosis can be examined. Such an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus has been widely used conventionally. In this case, in order to three-dimensionally grasp the tube wall structure of a thin body cavity tube formed of a blood vessel or the like, it is configured to scan in the radial direction while moving the ultrasonic probe along the tube wall in the tube length direction. .
[0003]
For this purpose, an ultrasonic probe provided with an ultrasonic transducer inside a catheter whose tip is closed is connected to a scanning drive unit, and the ultrasonic transducer is remotely operated by an electric motor or the like provided in the scanning drive unit. Is driven to rotate. In addition, the ultrasonic transducer is moved in the length direction of the tube. For this purpose, the entire ultrasonic probe is moved along the body cavity tube, so that the ultrasonic probe is moved two-dimensionally over a predetermined length in the length direction of the body cavity tube. Acquire a number of radial ultrasound images that are ultrasound images. Then, a three-dimensional image is generated from the large number of radial ultrasonic image data thus obtained. Therefore, in this type of ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus, the scanning drive unit must include a mechanism for scanning the ultrasonic transducer in the radial direction and a mechanism for moving the ultrasonic probe in the linear direction.
[0004]
As described above, the ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus must include the ultrasonic probe, the scan drive unit thereof, and the means for driving the scan drive unit in the linear direction. Since the ultrasonic probe inserted into the body cavity is contaminated at the time of the examination, it needs to be cleaned after each use or disposed of after being used once. Also, the scanning drive unit and the means for driving it in the linear direction during inspection may be contaminated, so that it is necessary to clean or dispose the unit. However, since the scanning drive unit is provided with a mechanism for scanning the ultrasonic transducer, that is, a rotation driving motor and an encoder, at least the scanning drive unit can be repeatedly used. For this purpose, a coupling mechanism is provided in the scanning drive unit, and the ultrasonic probe is detachably connected via the coupling mechanism. In addition, since a driving means in the linear direction is required, the driving means in the linear direction is also provided in the scanning drive unit, and the scanning driving unit is detachably connected to the means for guiding the scanning direction in the linear direction. Furthermore, by sealing the scanning drive unit with a sanitary bag, a motor, an encoder, and the like are provided inside, so that the structure is complicated and it is impossible to clean itself, or even if cleaning is possible. A configuration in which an extremely difficult scanning drive unit is configured not to be soiled during use is conventionally known (for example, see Patent Document 1).

[Patent Document 1]
U.S. Pat. No. 6,398,755 (col. 5-6, FIG. 2-3).
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, as described above, when trying to acquire a three-dimensional ultrasonic image with an ultrasonic probe, not only means for detecting the position in the rotational direction of the ultrasonic transducer, but also the amount of movement in the linear direction is detected. You must have the means. In the prior art described above, a rack-pinion mechanism is provided in a means for guiding in a linear direction, a gear transmission mechanism is provided between a pinion shaft and a scanning drive unit, and the scanning drive unit is guided by the rack-pinion mechanism. It is moved in a linear direction along the means. As a moving amount detecting means in the linear direction, a sensor is provided on a drive shaft constituting a gear transmission mechanism in the scanning drive unit, and the position in the linear direction is detected by this sensor. Accordingly, the scanning drive unit becomes complicated and large, and the movement amount of the scanning drive unit itself is not detected, so that the movement amount cannot always be detected accurately. Further, there is also a problem that the number of radial ultrasonic images acquired to generate a three-dimensional ultrasonic image, that is, the frame rate cannot be set to an arbitrary frame rate because it depends on the sensor.
[0007]
The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and an object of the present invention is to make it possible to easily detect the moving amount of an ultrasonic transducer with a simple configuration.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides an ultrasonic probe which is inserted into a thin tube and performs ultrasonic scanning in a radial direction, a scanning drive unit to which the ultrasonic probe is connected, An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus comprising: a linear guide unit that guides movement of a drive unit in a linear direction, wherein a linear movement of the scan drive unit is detected between the scan drive unit and the linear guide unit. It is characterized in that it is configured to provide means for performing the above.
[0009]
Here, as means for detecting the movement of the scanning drive means, optical or magnetic detection means for the scanning drive unit can be employed. For example, if a bar coat is provided on the linear guide means and a means for optically reading this bar code is provided on the scanning drive unit side, the movement of the scanning drive unit can be directly and non-contact with a simple configuration. It will be possible to detect by state.
[0010]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. First, FIG. 1 shows a cross-sectional configuration of a scanning drive unit and its linear guide means in an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus, FIG. 2 shows a cross-section of a tip portion of an ultrasonic probe, and FIG. 3 shows a cross-section of a scanning drive unit. . In the above state, the ultrasonic probe 1 is inserted into a body cavity tube, for example, a blood vessel, and the distal end portion of the probe is advanced to a site to be inspected. The insertion state of the ultrasonic probe 1 is monitored under, for example, an X-ray fluoroscope, so that the ultrasonic probe 1 can safely, quickly and surely enter the inspection site.
[0021]
Therefore, by operating the ultrasonic probe, information on the state of the tissue on the wall of the body cavity such as a blood vessel is acquired. This information can be displayed as a three-dimensional image. That is, by acquiring a radial tomographic image (two-dimensional ultrasonic image) of a body cavity tube, acquiring the tomographic image at a predetermined pitch interval in the longitudinal direction of the body cavity tube, and performing three-dimensional signal processing In addition, a three-dimensional ultrasonic image that can three-dimensionally grasp the tissue state on the wall of the body cavity can be obtained. Since the three-dimensional signal processing has been widely known, a detailed description thereof will be omitted.
