Description
【0001】

蒸発器兼原燃料混合器の水面上に、原燃料として都市ガス13A(メタン88.5%、エタン4.6%、プロパン5.4%、ブタン1.5%、脱硫済み)を流量14.97NLM(NLM=Normal Liter per Minute)で導入した。

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a method for supplying water to a solid oxide fuel cell module and a system therefor, and more particularly to a method for mixing water with a raw fuel and supplying it to the fuel electrode of the solid oxide fuel cell module and Regarding the system for that.
[0002]
[Prior art]
A solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC (= Solid Oxide Fuel Cell): hereinafter abbreviated as SOFC as appropriate) has an operating temperature in the range of 800 to 1000 ° C., usually as high as about 1000 ° C. A device operating at a temperature of about 800 ° C. or less, for example, about 750 ° C. has been developed. In a single cell or cell of the SOFC, a fuel electrode and an air electrode (an oxygen electrode when oxygen is used as an oxidant) are arranged with a solid oxide electrolyte interposed therebetween, and a fuel electrode / electrolyte (= solid oxide electrolyte) / air electrode And a three-layer unit. Since the voltage of one unit cell is low, the unit cell is usually configured by stacking a plurality of unit cells in series.
[0003]
Oxygen in the air introduced into the air electrode becomes oxide ions (O 2− ) at the air electrode and reaches the fuel electrode through the solid oxide electrolyte. Here, it reacts with the fuel introduced into the fuel electrode to emit electrons, thereby generating a reaction product such as electricity and water. Spent air at the cathode is discharged as cathode off-gas, and spent fuel at the anode is discharged as anode off-gas containing reaction products such as unused fuel, unused steam, and carbon dioxide. .
[0004]
By the way, in an SOFC, hydrogen (H 2 ) and carbon monoxide (CO) serve as fuel and contribute to an electrochemical reaction. For this reason, when a hydrocarbon such as city gas or LPG is used as a raw fuel, the raw fuel is used after being reformed into hydrogen or carbon monoxide. Of the hydrocarbons, methane is internally reformed with a catalyst such as Ni at the fuel electrode of the SOFC to become hydrogen or carbon monoxide, which is used as a fuel for the SOFC.
[0005]
However, the raw fuel, hydrocarbons other than methane, i.e. ethane, ethylene, propane and contains carbon number C 2 or more hydrocarbons such as butane, carbon in the pipe and the fuel electrode of the SOFC precipitated. When carbon is deposited on the pipe, the flow path is narrowed or the flow path is closed, and when carbon is deposited on the fuel electrode, an electrochemical reaction is inhibited and cell performance is deteriorated. These problems caused by C 2 or more hydrocarbons carbon atoms, long-term, fatal in SOFC used repeatedly operated.
[0006]
City gas, LP gas, natural gas, gasoline, or the like kerosene contains hydrocarbons other than methane, i.e. C 2 or more hydrocarbons carbon atoms. For example, in the case of city gas (13A), examples of the composition include methane 88.5%, ethane 4.6%, propane 5.4%, and butane 1.5% (% is vol%, the same applies hereinafter). It contains about 11.5% of C 2 -C 4 hydrocarbons in addition to methane as the main component.
[0007]
Therefore, these in the fuel of the SOFC, modify them carbon number C 2 and higher hydrocarbons, by changing the C 2 and higher hydrocarbons methane, hydrogen, carbon monoxide, necessary to remove There is. For this reforming, a steam reforming method is usually used. The steam reforming method is a technique for producing a reformed gas containing hydrogen and carbon monoxide as main components by a reforming reaction of a raw fuel such as a hydrocarbon with steam, and requires steam in addition to the raw fuel.
[0008]
When impurities used in water used in the SOFC contain impurities, the operation of the SOFC is hindered. Therefore, the water supplied to the SOFC needs to be as pure as possible. The total amount of impurities in water is indicated by conductivity, and Table 1 compares the conductivity of tap water, drain water of fuel electrode off-gas, and water treated by distillation or the like. As shown in Table 1, the conductivity is 270 μS / cm for tap water, 34.6 μS / cm for drain water of SOFC fuel electrode off-gas, 2.69 μS / cm for distilled water, activated carbon / ion exchange resin / distillation. 1.80 μS / cm for water that has undergone the three purification processes described above.
[0009]
[Table 1]
[0010]
Since city water such as tap water contains impurities, it must be purified to high purity in order to use it in SOFC. Water purification methods include an ion exchange membrane method, an adsorption method using activated carbon, and a filter method. When city water such as tap water is used in an SOFC, activated carbon / ion is used as shown in FIG. Purified by three purification processes: exchange resin / distillation. However, when these purification methods are applied, there is a problem that equipment for the methods is required, and there is a problem that the performance of the apparatus for implementing these methods will eventually decrease. Further, the purity of the water recovered from the fuel electrode off-gas is relatively high, but it is necessary to purify the water to higher purity if necessary.
[0011]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The present invention utilizes the exhaust gas from the solid oxide fuel cell module, that is, the fuel electrode off-gas and the air electrode off-gas, thereby eliminating the need for applying the water purification method as described above, thereby enabling the solid oxide fuel cell to be used. It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for purifying necessary water in a module and supplying the purified water to a solid oxide fuel cell module, and a system therefor.

And supply it to the fuel electrode of the SOFC module. Here, the S / C ratio can be controlled by controlling the flow rates of the generated steam and the raw fuel. Alternatively, the S / C ratio can be controlled by controlling the temperatures of the generated steam and the raw fuel.
[0018]
FIG. 2 is a diagram showing an example of an embodiment of the present invention (A). As shown in FIG. 2, an evaporator / raw fuel mixer is used. Water is evaporated using one or more of the exhaust gas from the SOFC module, ie, the fuel electrode off-gas, the air electrode off-gas, and the combustion exhaust gas of both off-gases as a heating source. Then, the generated steam is directly mixed with a raw fuel such as a city gas and supplied to the fuel electrode of the SOFC module as a humidified raw fuel. According to the present invention (A), the configuration of the device is simple, and a water pump is not required. Further, the S / C ratio can be controlled only by controlling the flow rates of the generated steam and the raw fuel.

At this time, the flow rate of the distilled water can be mixed with the raw fuel by controlling the S / C ratio by a water pump.
[0021]
The generated steam is cooled by (1) cooling by air introduced into the module, (2) cooling by fuel introduced into the module, (3) cooling by water introduced into the module, (4) natural cooling, and (5) by a fan. At least one of cooling by blowing a fluid such as air, (6) cooling by blowing a fluid such as air by a blower, (7) cooling by blowing a fluid such as air by a pump, and (8) cooling by water. It can be done by one kind.
[0022]
In the present invention (B), the same effect as in the case of the present invention (A) can be obtained. That is, according to the present invention (B), only the evaporating component from water is cooled and mixed with the raw fuel as distilled water, so that there is no hindrance to the operation of the SOFC. Further, according to the present invention (B), since it is not necessary to apply an ion exchange membrane method, an adsorption method using activated carbon or the like, or a filter method as in the related art, such equipment is not required, and these methods can be implemented. This can also solve the problem that the performance of the device decreases.
[0023]
