フラスコには0.64mL(2.0mM相当)のオレイン酸および0.68mL(2.0mM相当)のオレイルアミンが加えられた。続いてフラスコには0.13mL(1.0mM相当)の鉄カルボニルFe(CO)5が加えられた。
有機金属錯体には0.13mL(1.0mM相当)の鉄カルボニルFe(CO)5が用いられた。

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to fine particles that can be used for a magnetic recording medium such as a hard disk (HD) and a method for producing the same. In particular, the present invention relates to fine particles, that is, nanoparticles having a particle size of about 1 nm to 100 nm, and a method for producing the same.
[0002]
[Prior art]
A method for producing so-called nanoparticles is disclosed, for example, in Non-Patent Document 1 below. In Non-Patent Document 1, acetylacetonatoplatinum and iron carbonyl are used in the production of nanoparticles. Iron-platinum nanoparticles having a desired component ratio are produced based on the molecular number ratio of the two.

[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the above manufacturing method, Fe 48 Pt 52 , Fe 52 Pt 48 , Fe 70 Pt 30 Although it is possible to produce such nanoparticles, FePt 3 Such antiferromagnetic nanoparticles cannot be produced. It is desired to provide antiferromagnetic nanoparticles.
[0005]
In particular, in the field of magnetic recording media such as hard disks, the use of magnetic nanoparticles for the recording magnetic layer has been sought. Even if the magnetic nanoparticles are simply applied to the surface of the substrate, the surface of the aggregate of the magnetic nanoparticles cannot be sufficiently flattened.
[0006]
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and has as its object to provide antiferromagnetic fine particles and a method for producing the same. An object of the present invention is to provide a multilayer structure capable of sufficiently flattening the surface of an aggregate of fine particles.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to a first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a magnetic recording medium including an aggregate of antiferromagnetic fine particles and a recording magnetic layer formed on a surface of the aggregate.
[0008]
According to such a magnetic recording medium, since the recording magnetic layer is received on the surface of the antiferromagnetic layer, the direction of magnetization can be sufficiently maintained in the recording magnetic layer. Even if thermal energy is applied to the magnetic recording medium, deterioration of magnetic information recorded on the recording magnetic layer can be prevented.
[0009]
The recording magnetic layer may be composed of, for example, an aggregate of magnetic fine particles. In such a magnetic recording medium, the aggregate of magnetic fine particles is received on the surface of the aggregate of antiferromagnetic fine particles. Since the antiferromagnetic fine particles and the magnetic fine particles are regularly arranged, a flattened surface can be established on the surface of the aggregate of the magnetic fine particles.
[0010]
On the other hand, the recording magnetic layer may be composed of crystal grains that grow based on, for example, antiferromagnetic fine particles. According to such a magnetic recording medium, the size and distribution of the crystal grains of the recording magnetic layer can be reliably controlled because the recording magnetic layer is composed of crystal grains that grow based on antiferromagnetic fine particles. The recording density of a magnetic recording medium can be increased more than ever.
[0011]
In the magnetic recording medium as described above, the antiferromagnetic fine particles may be formed based on a metal element. FePt is used for these antiferromagnetic fine particles. 3 May be used. The particle size of the antiferromagnetic fine particles may be set in the range of 1 nm to 100 nm.
[0012]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, there is provided fine particles which are composed of an antiferromagnetic material and are dispersed in a solvent while being surrounded by an organic stabilizer. Examples of antiferromagnetic materials include FePt. 3 May be used. Antiferromagnetic fine particles can be produced based on such fine particles.
[0013]
In producing the fine particles as described above, a step of producing a solution containing an organic stabilizer having a first number of molecules, a metal salt, and a reducing agent in an organic solvent, and adding a half of the first number of molecules to the solution. What is necessary is to provide a method for producing microparticles comprising a step of adding an organometallic complex having a smaller number of second molecules and a step of stirring the solution at a predetermined reaction temperature.
[0014]
According to such a method for producing microparticles, microparticles composed of an antiferromagnetic material and dispersed in a solvent while being surrounded by an organic stabilizer can be produced. At this time, the organic stabilizer may be selected from carboxylic acid, sulfonic acid, sulfinic acid, phosphonic acid and amine, and may contain an organic compound having 6 to 22 carbon atoms.
[0015]
In producing the microparticles, a step of producing a solution containing oleic acid, oleylamine, a metal salt and a reducing agent having a first number of molecules in an organic solvent, and adding a solution having a second number of molecules smaller than the first number of molecules to the solution. A method for producing microparticles may be provided, comprising a step of adding an organometallic complex and a step of stirring the solution at a predetermined reaction temperature.
[0016]
Similarly, a step of forming a solution containing oleic acid, oleylamine having a first number of molecules, a metal salt and a reducing agent in an organic solvent, and adding an organic metal complex having a second number of molecules smaller than the first number of molecules to the solution , And a step of stirring the solution at a predetermined reaction temperature.
[0017]
Similarly, a step of producing a solution containing oleic acid of the first number of molecules, oleylamine of the first number of molecules, a metal salt and a reducing agent in an organic solvent, and adding the second molecule of less than the first number of molecules to the solution A method for producing microparticles, comprising a step of adding a number of organometallic complexes and a step of stirring the solution at a predetermined reaction temperature may be provided.
[0018]
In the method for producing fine particles as described above, an organoiron complex may be used as the organometallic complex. Similarly, the metal salt may include at least one of platinum-containing acetylacetonate, platinum-containing chloride, platinum-containing bromide, and platinum-containing iodide. The organic solvent may be selected from hydrocarbons, alcohols, ethers and esters, and may contain an organic compound having 2 to 20 carbon atoms.
[0019]
According to the third aspect of the present invention, there is provided a first layer including an aggregate of the first microparticles, and a second layer formed on the surface of the first layer and including an aggregate of the second microparticles. A multilayer structure is provided.
[0020]
In such a multilayer structure, the aggregate of the second microparticles is received on the surface of the aggregate of the first microparticles. Since the first and second microparticles are regularly arranged, a flattened surface can be established on the surface of the aggregate of the second microparticles. In such a multilayer structure, the second fine particles only need to establish magnetism, and the first fine particles only need to establish antiferromagnetism.
[0021]

The liquid containing the second alloy nanoparticles is applied to the surface of the aggregate of the first alloy nanoparticles. For application, for example, a spin coating method may be used in the same manner as described above. When the organic solvent is dried, the second alloy nanoparticles and the organic stabilizer remain on the surface of the aggregate of the first alloy nanoparticles. At this time, since the first and second alloy nanoparticles are regularly arranged, a flattened surface can be established on the surface of the aggregate of the second alloy nanoparticles.
[0037]
Subsequently, the first and second alloy nanoparticles are annealed in a vacuum environment. During the annealing process, the

[0039]
Next, a method for producing the first alloy nanoparticles will be described in detail. A metal salt is prepared for forming the first alloy nanoparticles. As the metal salt, for example, at least one of acetylacetonate salt, chloride, bromide and iodide may be used. FePt 3 When forming nanoparticles, the metal salt may be, for example, any of bisacetylacetonatoplatinum, bisbenzonitrile platinum (II) chloride, platinum (II) bromide, platinum (II) chloride and platinum (II) iodide May be used.
[0040]
Similarly, an organometallic complex is provided. For example, an organic iron complex may be used as the organic metal complex. FePt 3 When nanoparticles are formed, the organometallic complex includes, for example, Fe (CO) 5 And Fe 2 (CO) 9 , Fe 3 (CO) 12 Any of the organic iron complexes described above may be used.
[0041]
Similarly, an organic solvent is provided. The organic solvent may be selected from, for example, any one of hydrocarbons, alcohols, ethers and esters, and may contain an organic compound having 2 to 20 carbon atoms. Similarly, a reducing agent is provided. For example, 1,2-hexadecanediol can be used as the reducing agent.
[0042]
Similarly, an organic stabilizer is provided. The organic stabilizer may be selected from, for example, any one of carboxylic acid, sulfonic acid, sulfinic acid, phosphonic acid and amine, and may contain an organic compound having 6 to 22 carbon atoms. Here, for example, oleic acid and oleylamine are used as the organic stabilizer.
[0043]
For example, the flask is prepared under an inert gas atmosphere such as nitrogen gas or argon gas. In the organic solvent, a solution containing the first molecular number organic stabilizer, the metal salt and the reducing agent is formed. Subsequently, an organometallic complex having a second number of molecules less than one half of the first number of molecules is added to the solution. When oleic acid and oleylamine are used as the organic stabilizer, a solution containing oleic acid having the first molecular number, oleylamine having the first molecular number, and an organometallic complex having a second molecular number smaller than the first molecular number is formed. It should be done.
[0044]
The solution thus formed in the flask is stirred at a predetermined reaction temperature. The reaction temperature may be set, for example, in the range of 220C to 260C. As a result, in the solution, the metal is reduced from the metal salt and the organometallic complex based on the reducing agent. Thus, the first alloy nanoparticles are formed. The first alloy nanoparticles are wrapped in an organic stabilizer.
[0045]
Thereafter, the solution in the flask is cooled to room temperature. A solution such as ethanol is added into the flask. The precipitate of the first alloy nanoparticles and the organic stabilizer is removed based on the centrifugation. The extracted first alloy nanoparticles and the organic stabilizer are put into an organic solution such as hexane. In this way, nanoparticles composed of an antiferromagnetic material and dispersed in an organic solution are obtained.
[0046]
The inventor manufactured nanoparticles based on the above-described manufacturing method. For example, the flask was prepared under an argon gas atmosphere. In the flask, 197 mg (corresponding to 0.5 mM) of bisacetylacetonatoplatinum and 390 mg of 1,2-hexadecanediol were placed. 20 mL (milliliter) of dioctyl ether was added to the flask. 0.64 mL (2.0 mM equivalent) of oleic acid and 0.68 mL (2.0 mM equivalent) of oleylamine were added to the flask. Subsequently, 0.13 mL (corresponding to 1.0 mM) of iron carbonyl Fe (CO) was added to the flask. 5 Was added. The solution thus formed in the flask was stirred at a temperature of 230 ° C. for 30 minutes.
[0047]
Thereafter, the solution in the flask was cooled to room temperature. 40 mL of ethanol was added into the flask. The precipitate of nanoparticles and organic stabilizer was removed based on centrifugation. The removed nanoparticles and organic stabilizer were added to hexane. Thus, nanoparticles having a particle size of 5.5 nm were formed.
[0048]
The inventors have observed nanoparticles based on X-ray diffraction. Samples were prepared for observation. The nanoparticles were applied to the surface of the substrate. In application, a so-called spin coating method was used. The assembly of nanoparticles was annealed. 1x10 in heating furnace -6 [Pa] The following vacuum environment was established. The temperature in the heating furnace was maintained at, for example, 800 ° C. for 30 minutes. The temperature rose from room temperature to 800 ° C. in 10 minutes. Thereafter, the substrate was cooled to room temperature.
[0049]
As shown in FIG. 3, a peak was confirmed at a predetermined crystal plane. The peak position [deg] thus confirmed is FePt 3 JCPDS values of As a result, as shown in FIG. 4, the nanoparticles related to the sample were FePt. 3 It was confirmed that it was composed of
[0050]
Next, the present inventors verified the relationship between the amount of the organic stabilizer used and the alloy type of the nanoparticles. Several examples were prepared for the verification. In producing the nanoparticles, 197 mg (corresponding to 0.5 mM) of bisacetylacetonato platinum was used as the metal salt as described above. 0.13 mL (1.0 mM equivalent) of iron carbonyl Fe (CO) 5 Was used. As a reducing agent, 390 mg of 1,2-hexadecanediol was used. 20 mL of dioctyl ether was used as the organic solvent. Oleic acid and oleylamine were used as organic stabilizers. In this verification, the inventor changed the amount of the organic stabilizer used.
[0051]
As a result, as shown in FIG. 6, when 0.32 mL (corresponding to 1.0 mM) of oleic acid and 0.34 mL (corresponding to 1.0 mM) of oleylamine are used, FePt nanoparticles may be formed. confirmed. On the other hand, when 0.64 mL (2.0 mM equivalent) of oleic acid and 0.68 mL (2.0 mM equivalent) of oleylamine were used, FePt 3 It was confirmed that nanoparticles were generated. Moreover, it was confirmed that as the amount of the organic stabilizer used increased, the average particle size of the nanoparticles increased. Similarly, it was confirmed that as the amount of the organic stabilizer used increased, the particle size distribution σ / D [%] decreased.
