Abstract
Description
【0001】

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the above conventional technique has the following problems.
When displaying a moving image, it is necessary to continuously update the screen. Therefore, the screen for displaying the moving image needs to occupy the image signal. However, since the conventional system has only one image signal output device, Moving images could be displayed on only one screen.
[0006]
As described above, in the above-described conventional technology, only one image signal output device is considered, so that it is not possible to display a moving image on a plurality of screens. As a method of solving this, by using the image signal generation device and the number-of-frames signal generation device control method of the present invention, it is possible to display a moving image on multiple screens by having a plurality of image signal output devices.
[0007]
The present invention has been made to solve the above-described problem, and has as its object to provide an image signal generating device capable of displaying a moving image on multiple screens by index control.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, an image signal generating device according to the present invention includes a plurality of image signal output units each outputting an image signal, and any one of a plurality of display devices for displaying the image signal. Index adding means for generating an index signal and adding the index signal to the image signal.
[0009]
[Action]
Therefore, according to the present invention, there is provided an image display system in which a plurality of display devices are connected to each of a plurality of image signal output devices, and each image signal output from each image signal output device is displayed on each of the plurality of display devices. By using each image signal as a moving image and occupying and displaying it on one corresponding display device, a moving image can be displayed on a plurality of screens.

In the above description, an example in which the image protrudes left and right has been described. However, in the case where the image protrudes up and down, the image is protruded by arranging the screen areas as shown in FIGS. Can be displayed.
From the above, it is clear that the arrangement should be such that the image does not extend out of FIGS. 7A, 7B, 7C, and 7D according to each situation.
[0047]
In addition, they are not in a state of being fitted right and left or up and down, but are not exactly fitted, such as being shifted up and down in FIGS. 7A and 7B and being shifted left and right in FIGS. 7C and 7D. In any case, it is evident that it is possible to cope with the positional relationship so that the image on one screen is not displayed on the other screen.
[0048]
Further, it is apparent that the present invention can be realized by checking where the image protrudes from the screen and dynamically moving the screen area arrangement configuration at each time.
[0049]
In the case where the image protrudes simultaneously at the top, bottom, left and right, if the two screen areas are previously arranged in a state where they are connected only by points as shown in FIGS. 7 (E), (F), (G), and (H). Clearly, it can be displayed without any problem.
[0050]
In the above description, a state where a plurality of screens are connected to form one large screen area as shown in FIG. 5 has been described. Next, a case where each screen has an independent screen area will be described.
For example, if the screen area arrangement is arranged as shown in FIG. 7 (E) and the states shown in FIGS. 6 (A) and 6 (B) are formed, an image beyond each screen may be displayed on the other screen. There is no.
As a result, even if all the screens go out of the frame of the other screen, it is possible to prevent the screen from being displayed on the other screen, and independent screen display is possible.
[0051]
According to the third embodiment, by changing the screen area arrangement of the image
[0052]
Also, if the same processing is performed not in a state in which a plurality of screens are connected to form one large screen area but in independent screen areas, even if an image that extends off the screen is displayed, another image may be displayed. An image can be displayed without affecting the screen display.
[0053]
Further, in the above description, two image signal output devices are described, but it is obvious that the same can be performed in two or more image signal output devices.
[0054]
Next, in the fourth embodiment, another image signal output device is provided between the image signal output devices, so that an image can be displayed across each screen.
FIG. 8 is a block diagram of an image display system according to the fourth embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 9 is a screen configuration diagram. 3, 5, and 6 are denoted by the same reference numerals, and redundant description will be omitted.

Further, by setting the virtual screen area to be the same as the maximum size of all the images, no matter what image protrudes, it does not protrude into the image area of another image signal output device. Further, it is obvious that the virtual screen area may be made variable and may be dynamically changed for each number of protruding pictures.
[0061]
In the above description, a state in which a plurality of screens are connected to form one large screen area has been described. Next, a case in which each has an independent screen area will be described.
For example, if the screen area layout configuration is formed as shown in FIGS. 9A and 9B, an image beyond each screen will not be displayed on the other screen.
As a result, even if all the screens go out of the frame of the other screen, it can be prevented from being displayed on the other screen, and screen display independent of each other becomes possible.
[0062]
Furthermore, the size of the virtual screen area can be set to the maximum value of the image signal output devices, or can be set to a constant value by setting the maximum value of all image sizes, and dynamically changed for each protruding image. It is also possible to make the virtual screen area variable.
[0063]
In the above description, two image signal output devices have been described. However, it is obvious that the same can be performed in two or more image signal output devices.
[0064]
According to the fourth embodiment, by providing the image signal output device that is not connected to the display device, it is possible to display an image extending between screens.
Further, by providing a virtual screen area between screens without adding an image signal output device, it is possible to display an image extending between screens.
[0065]
In addition, if the same processing is performed in the above-described case where a plurality of screens are not connected to form one large screen area but each has an independent screen area, an image that extends off the screen may be displayed. An image can be displayed without affecting other screen displays.
[0066]
Next, in a fifth embodiment, a method of performing processing in which an image does not straddle between screens will be described.
FIG. 10 is a flowchart showing an operation when moving an image with a mouse or the like according to the fifth embodiment.
[0067]
In FIG. 10, when an image is moved, in a step F1001 (hereinafter, step is omitted), it is checked whether or not the upper end of the moving image protrudes from the screen. If it does, the lower end of the moving image is forcibly moved to the lower end in the upper screen in F1006. When the image is moved, in F1002, it is checked whether the lower end of the moving image protrudes from the bottom of the screen. If it does, the upper end of the moving image is forcibly moved to the upper end in the lower screen in F1007.
[0068]
When the image is moved, in F1003, it is checked whether or not the right end of the image being transferred is outside the right side of the screen. If it does, the left edge of the moving image is forcibly moved to the left edge in the right screen in F1008.
When the image is moved, in F1004, it is checked whether or not the left end of the moving image protrudes from the left of the screen. If it protrudes, the right edge of the moving image is forcibly moved to the right edge in the left screen in F1009.
This is repeated until the image movement in F1005 is completed.
[0069]
More specifically, consider a case where an image is moved from the
While moving the circle image from the
[0070]
The above is the processing when moving the image to the right. Even when moving to the left, up, down, upper right, lower right, upper left, lower left, the processing of FIG. It is possible to avoid straddling.
[0071]
According to the fifth embodiment, since an image does not straddle between screens, no matter what index configuration is used for a plurality of image signal output devices, what kind of screen area arrangement configuration is used. However, strange screens such as those shown in FIGS. 6D and 6E do not occur.
Further, since the above-described processing is performed while the image is being moved, the user can move while confirming where to move.
[0072]
Next, in the sixth embodiment, processing is performed so that an image does not protrude outside the screen.
FIG. 12 is a flowchart showing an operation when moving an image with a mouse or the like according to the sixth embodiment.
[0073]
In FIG. 12, at F1201 when moving an image, it is checked whether or not the upper end of the moving image has reached the upper end of the screen. When it reaches the upper end of the screen, it cannot be moved further upward by F1206.
When the image is moved, in F1202, it is checked whether or not the lower end of the moving image has reached the lower end of the screen. When it comes to the lower end of the screen, it is made impossible to move down further by F1207.
[0074]
At the time of moving the image, in F1203, it is checked whether the right end of the moving image is at the right end of the screen. When it comes to the right end of the screen, F1208 prevents further rightward movement.
When the image is moved, in F1204, it is checked whether the left end of the moving image is at the left end of the screen. When it comes to the left end of the screen, it is prevented from moving further to the left in F1209.
This is repeated until the end of the image movement in F1206.
[0075]
More specifically, consider a case where an image is to be moved from the
The circle image is moved from the
Even if an attempt is made to move to the right, there is no change from FIG. 11B, and the round image does not move as it is.
[0076]
The above is the processing when moving the image to the right, but even when moving to the left, upper, lower, upper right, lower right, upper left, lower left, by performing the same processing by the processing of FIG. 12, It is possible to prevent the image from protruding from the screen.
[0077]
According to the sixth embodiment, since the image does not protrude beyond the screen, no matter what the index configuration of the plurality of image signal output devices is, any screen area arrangement configuration Even in this case, a strange screen as shown in FIGS.
Further, since the above-described processing is performed while the image is being moved, the image can be moved while confirming that the image cannot be moved.
[0078]
Next, in the seventh embodiment, processing is performed so that an image does not straddle each screen at the end of the movement, not during the movement of the image. FIG. 13 is a flowchart showing an operation when an image is moved by a mouse or the like according to the seventh embodiment.
[0079]
In FIG. 13, the end of the image movement is confirmed in F1301.
In step F1302, it is checked whether the upper end of the moved image has protruded from the screen. If it does, the lower end of the image moved in F1306 is forcibly moved to the lower end in the upper screen.
In step F1303, it is checked whether the lower end of the moved image has protruded from the bottom of the screen. If it does, the upper end of the image moved in F1307 is forcibly moved to the upper end in the lower screen.
[0080]
In F1304, it is checked whether the right end of the moved image has protruded from the right side of the screen. If it protrudes, the left end of the image moved in F1308 is forcibly moved to the left end in the right screen.
In step F1305, it is determined whether the left end of the moved image has protruded from the left side of the screen. If it protrudes, the right end of the image moved in F1309 is forcibly moved to the right end in the left screen.
[0081]
Here, a situation like the fifth embodiment is considered.
In FIG. 11A, since the circle image is dragged with the mouse, brought directly to the

[0082]
Also consider another situation.
For example, more specifically, consider a case where an image is moved from the
While moving the circle image from the
With this processing, it is possible to display an image without straddling the screen.
[0083]
The above is the processing when the image is moved to the right. However, even when the image is moved to the left, upper, lower, upper right, lower right, upper left, and lower left, by performing the same processing by the processing of FIG. It is possible to avoid straddling between screens.
[0084]
According to the seventh embodiment, since an image does not straddle between screens, regardless of the index configuration of the plurality of image signal output devices, the screen region arrangement configuration does not matter. Even if there is, there will be no strange screen as shown in FIGS.
[0085]
Further, in the fifth embodiment, since the processing as shown in FIG. 10 is performed during the screen movement, the processing may be complicated. However, in the seventh embodiment, such processing is not performed. Since the processing is performed after the movement, the processing is light.
[0086]
Next, in the eighth embodiment, a process is performed in which the image is not out of the screen at the end of the movement, not during the movement of the image.
FIG. 15 is a flowchart showing the operation when moving an image with a mouse or the like according to the eighth embodiment.
[0087]
In FIG. 15, the end of the image movement is confirmed in F1501.
In F1502, it is checked whether the upper end of the moved image protrudes from the screen. If it protrudes, the upper end of the image moved in F1506 is forcibly moved to the upper end in the own screen.
In F1503, it is checked whether the lower end of the moved image protrudes from the bottom of the screen. If it protrudes, the lower end of the image moved in F1507 is forcibly moved to the lower end in the own screen.
[0088]
In F1504, it is checked whether the right end of the moved image has protruded from the right side of the screen. If it protrudes, the right end of the image moved in F1508 is forcibly moved to the right end in the own screen.
In F1505, it is checked whether the left end of the moved image has protruded from the left side of the screen. If it protrudes, the left end of the image moved in F1509 is forcibly moved to the left end in the own screen.
[0089]
Here, a situation as in the sixth embodiment is considered.
In FIG. 11A, when the circle image is dragged with the mouse and brought directly to the

Also consider another situation.
For example, more specifically, consider a case where an image is moved from the
When the circle image is moved from the
By this processing, it is possible to make the display such that the image does not extend outside the screen.
[0091]
The above processing is performed when the image is moved to the right. However, even when the image is moved to the left, up, down, upper right, lower right, upper left, and lower left, the same processing is performed by the processing of FIG. Can be prevented from straddling between screens.
[0092]
According to the eighth embodiment, since an image does not straddle between screens, regardless of the index configuration of the plurality of image signal output devices, any screen area arrangement configuration is possible. However, a strange screen as shown in FIGS.
[0093]
Further, in the sixth embodiment, since the processing is performed during the screen movement, the processing may be duplicated. However, in the eighth embodiment, such processing is not performed. Is performed, the processing is light.
[0094]
Next, in the above-mentioned Patent Document 1 (Japanese Unexamined Patent Application Publication No. 2000-352962) in FIG. 19, for example, a screen with a mouse is set as a priority screen, a rate of outputting a screen with a mouse is increased, and other screens are not output. Or, by outputting at a low rate, the work efficiency on the screen where the mouse is present is improved, and a moving image is displayed.
[0095]
In the case where there are a plurality of image signal output devices as in the eighth embodiment, what priority is given to increasing the ratio of image output in the image signal on the side where no mouse is present will be described.
[0096]
FIG. 16 is a timing chart showing the update frequency of the screen when the mouse is moved according to the ninth embodiment.

Further, although the above description has been made with reference to FIG. 3, it is apparent that the present invention is also effective in the system of FIG.
[0104]
According to the ninth embodiment, when a work screen is moved by an image signal output device, an optimal use is performed by setting the image update timing of each index screen on the image signal output device having no work screen. It becomes possible.
[0105]
FIGS. 17 and 18 are timing charts showing the update frequency of the screen when the mouse is moved according to the tenth embodiment.

In the above description, the work screen (active screen) is determined based on the presence or absence of the mouse. However, it is clear that the work screen can be recognized by using a cursor or another method, and the same applies to other embodiments.
Further, it is clear that the same thing as described in the ninth embodiment can be used in this case.
Further, the case where the number of the image signal output devices is two has been described.
[0113]
Further, although the image signals 104 and 105 change synchronously in FIGS. 17 (A), (B) and 18 (A), they may change asynchronously as shown in FIGS. 18 (F) and (G). Is obvious.
[0114]
According to the tenth embodiment, when the mouse moves between the image signal output devices, optimal use can be performed by setting the image update timing of each index screen on the image signal output device without the mouse. It becomes possible.
Further, the user may flexibly select and set the above various settings.
