【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention belongs to the technical field of a transmission control device.
[0002]
[Prior art]
For example, in an automatic transmission mounted on an automobile or the like, a fluid transmission device such as a torque converter is provided on a power transmission path between an engine and drive wheels, and the transmission device includes an input element such as a pump and a turbine and the like. A lock-up clutch that directly connects to the output element is provided. The lock-up clutch is controlled based on the running state of the vehicle such as the engine load and the vehicle speed. For example, a low-load high-speed region is in a lock-up region, a high-load low-speed region is in a converter region, and a low-load medium rotation region is in a low-load medium rotation region. It is set in the slip area. In the lock-up region, the input element and the output element of the fluid transmission are completely fastened to improve fuel efficiency, and in the converter region, the input element and the output element are completely released to increase the torque. In the slip region, the input element and the output element are partially connected halfway, thereby achieving both improvement in fuel efficiency and improvement in drivability (for example, absorption of shock and vibration due to torque fluctuation). However, such a lock-up clutch is generally inferior in responsiveness and controllability, and therefore control accuracy, because the diameter is large, the volume of the piston chamber is large, the mass of the piston is large, and the surface runout of the piston is large. There are problems.
[0003]
On the other hand, it is known that various other types of friction fastening elements are disposed on a power transmission path between the engine and the drive wheels, and the friction fastening elements are controlled to a predetermined slip state. The frictional engagement element referred to here includes, for example, a clutch for achieving a shift speed such as a forward clutch used for switching a power transmission path of a planetary gear mechanism to achieve a plurality of shift speeds, and an engine and a fluid transmission device. Start or start clutch used to reduce or increase the rotational load on the engine by connecting or disconnecting the power transmission between the transmission and the fluid transmission and the transmission, or mainly used with a continuously variable transmission A forward / reverse switching clutch that is used to reverse the output rotation of the transmission in forward and reverse directions, and is used in combination with a continuously variable transmission that can achieve geared neutral. A low mode clutch and a high mode clutch used for switching to a high mode with a small size are included. Generally, such a friction fastening element has a smaller diameter, a smaller volume of the piston chamber, a smaller mass of the piston, and a smaller surface runout of the piston as compared with the lock-up clutch of the fluid transmission, so that the responsiveness and the like are improved. It has the advantage of excellent controllability and, consequently, excellent control accuracy.

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Here, in the invention described in
[0007]
However, in order to absorb a shock during shifting, control of slip control of a frictional engagement element to achieve shifting and sliding of a lock-up clutch for a short time is conventionally known. However, since the friction engagement element is excellent in responsiveness and control accuracy as described above, if the friction engagement element is slip-controlled in a wider range, for example, in conjunction with the slip control of a lock-up clutch and the like, it is contradictory. It is possible to achieve both high fuel efficiency and drivability improvement (which means absorption of shocks and vibrations due to torque fluctuation as described above) at a high level. In particular, in a region where the vehicle speed is low (for example, at a low rotation speed), shocks and vibrations due to torque fluctuations are easily conspicuous. Therefore, if the slip control of the friction engagement element and the slip control of the lock-up clutch are linked and controlled in such a region, A great improvement in drivability is expected.
[0008]
Therefore, the present invention provides a friction fastening element provided on a power transmission path between an engine and a driving wheel, the slip state between input and output elements being controllable, and the slip state between input and output elements being similarly controllable. It is an object of the present invention to control the lock-up clutch of a fluid transmission device in a wide range in a low vehicle speed range to achieve both high fuel efficiency and high drivability at a high level. Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail including other problems.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
That is, the invention according to
[0010]
According to the present invention, only in the non-shifting state, in the region below the predetermined vehicle speed (for example, in the low rotation region), the first state of controlling the slip state of the frictional engagement element of the transmission according to the input torque to the fluid transmission is controlled. And the second control means for controlling the slip state of the lock-up clutch of the fluid transmission device are controlled in cooperation with each other, so that the frictional engagement element and the lock-up clutch are controlled in accordance with the input torque in a low rotation range. By controlling the slip over a wide range and improving the fuel economy (which can be achieved by minimizing the frictional engagement element and the lock-up clutch as much as possible) and improving the drivability (conversely, the frictional engagement element And achieved by slipping the lock-up clutch as much as possible) at a high level.
[0011]
In particular, since the input torque reflects the driver's request for acceleration, the operating state of the engine, and the like, the engagement force of the power transmission friction engagement element and the engagement force of the lock-up clutch are linked and controlled according to the input torque. By doing so, it is possible to achieve a good balance between the fuel consumption improving effect and the drivability improving effect in consideration of the driver's acceleration request and the engine operating state.
[0012]
Here, the fact that the condition for non-shifting is added as a condition for performing the above-described linkage control is that, as described above, during shifting in the first place, the frictional engagement element is slip-controlled to achieve the shifting, and the lock-up is performed. This is for the purpose of clarifying that such conventional slip control is not included in the present invention because the clutch may be subjected to slip control to absorb a shift shock.
[0013]
Next, according to a second aspect of the present invention, in the first aspect of the present invention, when the input torque detected by the input torque detecting means is small, the linkage control means controls the friction engagement element by the first control means. And the engagement force of the lock-up clutch by the second control means is increased, and as the input torque increases, the engagement force of the friction engagement element by the first control means is changed from small to large. It is characterized in that the control is performed by the engagement force characteristic and the engagement force of the lock-up clutch by the second control means is controlled by the large to small engagement force characteristic.
[0014]
According to the present invention, when the input torque is small, the fastening force of the friction fastening element is reduced, so that the friction fastening element easily slips and vibration due to torque fluctuation or the like is easily absorbed (drivability is reduced). Improvement). At the same time, since the engagement force of the lock-up clutch is increased, power loss due to slippage of the torque converter is reduced (improved fuel efficiency).
[0015]
Moreover, as the input torque increases, the fastening force of the friction fastening element gradually increases, so that the torque can be transmitted reliably (improvement in transmission efficiency). At the same time, the engagement force of the lock-up clutch is gradually reduced, so that the torque increasing effect of the torque converter can be effectively used (improvement of acceleration performance).
[0016]
Next, according to a third aspect of the present invention, in the second aspect of the present invention, there is provided a running resistance detecting means for detecting a running resistance of the vehicle, and the linkage control means includes a running resistance detected by the detecting means. In accordance with the increase, the fastening force characteristic of the frictional engagement element by the first control means is corrected to increase the engagement force, and the engagement force characteristic of the lock-up clutch by the second control means is decreased by the engagement force. It is characterized in that correction is made to
[0017]
According to the present invention, as the running resistance requiring a larger torque is larger, the fastening force of the friction fastening element is increased, the torque transmission is performed more reliably, and the fastening force of the lock-up clutch is reduced. As a result, the torque increasing effect is further increased, and the cooperative control suitable for the situation is achieved.
[0018]
Next, according to a fourth aspect of the present invention, in accordance with the second aspect of the present invention, there is provided a stepping speed detecting means for detecting a stepping speed of an accelerator pedal, and the link control means is provided with a stepping speed detected by the detecting means. As the value increases, the fastening force characteristic of the frictional engagement element by the first control means is corrected to increase the engagement force, and the engagement force characteristic of the lock-up clutch by the second control means decreases. It is characterized by correcting in the direction.
[0019]
According to the present invention, as the stepping speed of the accelerator pedal, for which a larger torque is required, is increased, the engagement force of the friction engagement element is increased, so that the torque transmission is performed more reliably and the engagement of the lock-up clutch is performed. The force is reduced, the torque increasing effect is greater, and a coordinated control that is tailored to the situation is achieved.

In the steady-state control map of FIG. 8, the slip region is defined as a region where the throttle opening is equal to or less than the predetermined opening θ1 on the low opening side and the vehicle speed is equal to or less than the predetermined vehicle speed V1 on the low vehicle speed side. The predetermined vehicle speed V1 is a constant value irrespective of the throttle opening, whereas the predetermined opening θ1 increases as the vehicle speed increases (that is, the vehicle tends to rise to the right). In the unsteady state control map of FIG. 9, the slip region is expanded to a higher throttle opening side than the above steady state control map. In this case, the larger the throttle opening, the lower the vehicle speed L1 that defines the boundary between the slip region and the engagement region.

In the present embodiment, the

[0037]
In the control map of FIG. 10, the lock-up region is defined as a region where the throttle opening is equal to or less than the predetermined opening θ2 on the low opening side regardless of the vehicle speed, that is, over the entire vehicle speed. Here, the second predetermined opening degree θ2 is set to an opening degree smaller than the first predetermined opening degree θ1 that defines the slip region of the forward clutch 51 illustrated in FIGS. The second predetermined opening degree θ2 also increases as the vehicle speed increases, similarly to the first predetermined opening degree θ1. In this case, the second predetermined opening degree θ2 is a step difference between the predetermined vehicle speed V1 that determines the slip region of the forward clutch 51 illustrated in FIGS. 8 and 9 and the second predetermined vehicle speed V2 that is higher than the predetermined vehicle speed V1. Is attached. However, such a characteristic is only an example, and there may be no step. Further, as shown in FIG. 10, the deceleration region where the throttle opening is extremely small (that is, the position is fully closed or near zero opening) is a lock-up region regardless of the vehicle speed, that is, over the entire vehicle speed. .
[0038]
In the control map of FIG. 10, the slip region is also determined regardless of the vehicle speed, that is, over the entire vehicle speed. In this case, the slip region is defined as a region where the throttle opening is between the first predetermined opening θ1 and the second predetermined opening θ2.
[0039]
Here, for comparison, FIG. 11 shows a specific example of a control map of a conventional lock-up clutch. That is, this is a case where only the lock-up clutch of the torque converter is slip-controlled, and other frictional engagement elements such as the forward clutch are not slip-controlled over a wide range according to the running state of the vehicle.

In the conventional control map of FIG. 11, the lockup region is defined as a region where the throttle opening is equal to or less than the predetermined opening θx on the low opening side and the vehicle speed is equal to or higher than the second predetermined vehicle speed V2 on the high vehicle speed side. Have been. Here, the predetermined opening degree θx is substantially the same value as the second predetermined opening degree θ2 illustrated in FIG. Further, the slip range is the same as the first predetermined vehicle speed V1 on the low vehicle speed side and the second predetermined vehicle speed V2 on the high vehicle speed side when the throttle opening is also equal to or less than the predetermined opening θx on the low opening side. Is defined in the area between. Further, the deceleration region where the throttle opening is extremely small (that is, the position is fully closed or near zero opening) is divided into a converter region, a slip region, and a lockup region in order from the low vehicle speed side.
[0041]
That is, in the control map of FIG. 10 employed in the present embodiment, the lock-up region and the slip region are enlarged and the converter region is reduced accordingly, as compared with the conventional control map illustrated in FIG. The main reason for this is that, as illustrated in FIGS. 8 and 9, the
