Description
【0001】

【0020】
吸気通路12と排気通路14はEGR(Exhaust Gas Recirculation System)管26によって接続されている。
【0021】
図1に示すように、本実施形態の状態検出装置はECU(Electronic Control Unit)30を備えている。
【0092】
次のステップS13では、(12)式に基づいて、dmcyl/dt及びdm1/dtからdmEGR/dtを算出する。
次のステップS16では、dm1/dtとdmf/dtの和からdm4/dtを算出する。
【0094】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a state detection device for an internal combustion engine, and is particularly suitably applied to an internal combustion engine having a supercharger.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, an internal combustion engine equipped with a supercharger (turbocharger, supercharger) for increasing engine output has become common. In such an internal combustion engine, exhaust pressure and exhaust temperature are estimated in order to optimally control the engine. In particular, in an engine equipped with a variable capacity turbocharger (VNT; Variable Nozzle Turbocharger), an exhaust gas recirculation device (EGR; Exhaust Gas Recirculation System), etc., nitrogen oxides (NOx) and particulate matter (PM; Particulate Material) are used. It is necessary to control the supercharging pressure, the intake air amount, and the EGR rate accurately in order to suppress such factors as being optimal, and it is very important to accurately estimate the exhaust pressure and the exhaust temperature.
[0003]
For this reason, for example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2000-356162 describes a method for estimating the exhaust pressure and the exhaust temperature of an internal combustion engine equipped with a variable capacity turbocharger.
[0004]
In the method described in the above publication, a turbine of a turbocharger is regarded as a nozzle, and a pressure on a turbine upstream side is obtained from a pressure on a turbine downstream side and an effective opening degree of a VNT based on a general formula of a fluid flowing through the nozzle. is there. That is, the exhaust pressure of the turbocharger is estimated using the expression of an incompressible fluid used for analyzing a general fluid.
[0005]
As another method for estimating the exhaust pressure and the exhaust temperature of the internal combustion engine, the exhaust pressure and the exhaust temperature according to the engine operating state (fuel injection amount, engine speed) are measured in advance by an exhaust pressure sensor and an exhaust temperature sensor. A method is known in which a map is created in advance, and exhaust pressure and exhaust temperature are acquired based on the map.

[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, when the periphery of the turbine is approximated by the general formula of the nozzle as described in the above publication, various characteristics of the turbocharger such as flow characteristics and efficiency characteristics caused by the flow path in the turbine are included in the formula of the nozzle. It will not be. Therefore, it is difficult to accurately estimate the exhaust pressure and the exhaust temperature based on the general formula of the nozzle.
[0008]
Further, when the general formula for the nozzle is applied to the turbine, the relationship among the exhaust gas flow rate, the exhaust pressure, and the exhaust gas density is defined, but the exhaust gas density varies according to the exhaust gas temperature. Therefore, in order to accurately obtain the exhaust pressure, it is necessary to first obtain the exhaust temperature accurately, and the estimation accuracy of the exhaust pressure largely depends on the estimation accuracy of the exhaust temperature.
[0009]
In the method described in the above publication, the exhaust temperature is determined by using four correction coefficients relating to the intake air temperature, the exhaust pressure, and the like. There is a problem that arithmetic processing is required. In addition, complicated operations such as many measurements are required to obtain the correction coefficient. Furthermore, in order to increase the estimation accuracy, it is necessary to use many matching parameters, and there is a problem that it takes a long time for matching.
[0010]
On the other hand, in the method of obtaining the exhaust pressure and the exhaust temperature based on the map, it is necessary to create a map based on a large number of data in advance, and there is a problem that a very complicated operation is required to create the map. . In particular, in order to accurately obtain exhaust pressure and exhaust temperature, it is necessary to create a multidimensional map using a plurality of parameters (engine speed, load, EGR opening, cooling water temperature, etc.) relating to engine operating conditions. Very complicated work is required to create the map. Further, at the stage of creating the map, complicated operations such as mounting various sensors such as an exhaust pressure sensor and an exhaust temperature sensor around the engine also occur.
[0011]
The present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems, and has as its object to detect various characteristics of an internal combustion engine such as exhaust pressure and exhaust temperature with high accuracy.

Thus, the actual flow rate dm 1 / Dt is corrected and flow rate G tbmap And the actual rotational speed N tb To correct the rotation speed N tbmapc Is set, the map characteristics shown in FIG. 4A can be obtained. According to the map of FIG. tbmap And P3 / P0, N tbmapc And N tbmapc Is calculated, then N is calculated based on equation (7). tbmapc To N tb Can be calculated. Note that G tbmap And the intersection of P3 / P0 is the number of rotations N shown in the map of FIG. tbmapc In this case, the rotation speed N can be adjusted appropriately by using a method such as interpolation. tbmapc Can be calculated.

(Equation 9)
[0056]
Thus, the actual turbine speed N tb To correct the rotation speed N tbmapt And the actual flow rate dm 4 By modifying / dt and setting the flow rate Q4, the map characteristics shown in FIG. 4B can be obtained. Then, according to the map of FIG. tbmapt Given, Q4 and P4 / P6 can be determined. At this time, as shown in FIG. tbmapt Is defined on the map by a predetermined curve, for example, N tbmapt = 150,000 rpm, as shown in FIG. tbmapt = 150,000 rpm Q4 and P4 / P6 are obtained based on the center value of the characteristic.
[0057]
In FIG. 4B, N is set every 10,000 to 30,000 rotations. tbmapt , And N for each rotation speed. tbmapt Is shown on the map with a predetermined range. tbmapt Is set small (for example, N every 1000 rotations). tbmapt Characteristic on a map), the individual rotation speed N tbmapt Can be reduced, and the calculation accuracy of Q4 and P4 / P6 can be further improved. Also, the rotation speed N calculated from the equation (8) tbmapt Is the adjacent rotation speed N shown in FIG. tbmapt Are located between the two characteristics, Q4 and P4 / P6 can be calculated by obtaining the characteristic between the two characteristics by a method such as interpolation.
[0058]
When calculating Q4 and P4 / P6 from the map of FIG. tbmapt Needs to be calculated. At this time, since an accurate value of the exhaust gas temperature T4 has not been obtained, initially, the temporarily set exhaust gas temperature T4 is substituted into the equation (8) to obtain N tbmapt Is calculated. Then, N obtained from the temporarily set exhaust temperature T4 tbmapt Is applied to the map of FIG. 4B to obtain Q4 and P4 / P6. Since P6 is the atmospheric pressure, P4 can be calculated from P4 / P6.
[0059]
After obtaining P4 from FIG. 4B, T4 is calculated from Q4 based on equation (9). At this time, Q4 and P4 obtained from FIG. 4B are substituted for the right side of the equation (9), and the tentatively set exhaust temperature T4 substituted for the equation (8) is substituted for T4. Thus, dm on the left side of equation (9) 4 / Dt can be determined. Exhaust gas flow dm 4 / Dt is the intake air amount dm detected from the

And dm 4 / Dt and (dm 1 / Dt + dm f / Dt), when the absolute value of the difference is equal to or smaller than a preset threshold value, the exhaust pressure P4 and the exhaust temperature T4 at this time are determined as final values. On the other hand, dm 4 / Dt and (dm 1 / Dt + dm f / Dt), if the absolute value of the difference is equal to or greater than a preset threshold value, the value of T4 temporarily set is changed and dm is again set. 4 / Dt, and (dm 1 / Dt + dm f / Dt). Then, the calculation is repeatedly performed until the final T4 is calculated. On the other hand, in step S9, | dm 4 / Dt- (dm 1 / Dt + dm f / Dt) | ≧ t, the processing of steps S5 to S9 is repeated.
[0068]
In the above processing procedure, if the value of the exhaust gas temperature T4 provisionally set in step S5 is lower than the true exhaust gas temperature T4, dm calculated from the equation (9) is used. 4 / Dt is the true exhaust gas flow rate (dm 1 / Dt + dm f / Dt).
